⁷ Jesus answered and said to him, You do not know what I do now, but you shall know hereafter.

²⁴ Behold, the siege mounds have come to the city to take it; and the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the plague. And what You have spoken has happened; and, behold, You saw it. ²⁵ And You have said to me, O Lord Jehovah, Buy the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans.

⁴³ And fields shall be bought in this land of which you say, It is a desert without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

⁸ And I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, O my lord, what shall be the end of these things?

¹² Blessed is he who waits and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

¹ I will stand on my watch and set myself on the tower, and will watch to see what He will say to me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. ² And Jehovah answered me and said, Write the vision, and make it plain on the tablets, that he who reads it may run. ³ For the vision is still for an appointed time, but it speaks to the end, and it does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it; because it will surely come. It will not tarry.

¹⁶ But His disciples did not know these things at the first. But when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him.

¹⁰ Jesus said to him, He who is bathed has no need except to wash his feet, but is clean every whit. And you are clean, but not all. ¹¹ For He knew who would betray Him. Therefore He said, You are not all clean. ¹² So after He had washed their feet and had taken His garments and had reclined again, He said to them, Do you know what I have done to you?

³⁶ Simon Peter said to Him, Lord, where do You go? Jesus answered him, Where I go you cannot now follow Me, but you shall follow Me afterward.

²⁶ But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

⁷ Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and has long patience for it, until he receives the early and the latter rain. ⁸ You also be patient, establish your hearts, for the coming of your Lord draws near. ⁹ Do not grudge against one another, brothers, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge stands before the door. ¹⁰ My brothers, take the prophets who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering ill, and of patience. ¹¹ Behold, we count blessed those who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is full of pity and of tender mercy.
