⁷ He stretches out the north over the empty place, and He hung the earth on nothing.

¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ² And the earth was without form and empty. And darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters.

⁸ who alone stretches out the heavens, and walks on the waves of the sea;

² For He has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers.

² covering Yourself with light as with a robe; and stretching out the heavens like a curtain; ³ He lays the beams of His upper rooms in the waters. He sets the clouds as His chariots; He walks on the wings of the wind; ⁴ He makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flaming fire. ⁵ He laid the earth on its foundations; it shall not be shaken forever.

²³ I was anointed from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth ever was. ²⁴ When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no springs heavy with water. ²⁵ Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth. ²⁶ before He had made the earth, or the fields or the highest part of the dust of the world. ²⁷ When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He set a circle upon the face of the deep;

²² It is He who sits on the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and behold, who has created these, who brings out their host by number? He calls them all by names by the greatness of His might, for He is strong in power; not one is lacking.

⁵ So says Jehovah God, He who created the heavens and stretched them out, spreading out the earth and its offspring; He who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it.
