¹⁴ Jehovah of Hosts has sworn by Himself, saying, Surely I will fill you with men as with locusts; and they shall lift up a shout against you.

⁵ For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as locusts for multitude, both they and their camels were without number. And they entered into the land to destroy it.

²³ They shall cut down her forest, says Jehovah, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the locusts and cannot be counted.

¹³ For I have sworn by Myself, says Jehovah, that Bozrah shall become a ruin, a reproach, a waste, and a curse. And all its cities shall be wastes forever.

¹⁵ Shout against her all around. She has given her hand; her foundations have fallen, her walls have been thrown down; for it is the vengeance of Jehovah. Take vengeance on her. As she has done, do to her.

⁴ That which the creeping locust has left, the swarming locust has eaten. And that which the swarming locust has left, the locust larvae has eaten. And that which the locust larvae has left, the stripping locust has eaten. ⁵ Awake, drunkards, and weep; and howl, all drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth. ⁶ For a nation has come up on My land, strong and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he has the jaw teeth of a lioness. ⁷ He has laid My vine waste and splintered My fig tree. He has stripped it and cast it away; its branches grow white.

³ A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns. The land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness. Yes, and nothing shall escape them. ⁴ As the appearance of horses is its appearance; and as war horses, so they run.

²⁵ And I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten, the locust larvae, and the stripping locust, and the cutting locust, My great army which I sent among you.

⁸ The Lord Jehovah has sworn by Himself, says Jehovah, the God of Hosts: I despise the glory of Jacob, and hate his palaces; and I will shut up the city and all its fullness.

¹⁵ There fire shall devour you; the sword shall cut you off, it shall eat you up like the locust.
