² For the anger of Jehovah is on all nations, and His fury on all their armies. He has completely destroyed them, He has delivered them to the slaughter.

⁵ They come from a far country, from the end of the heavens, Jehovah and the weapons of His indignation, to destroy all the land.

¹ Behold, Jehovah empties the land and makes it bare, and distorts its face, and scatters its inhabitants. ² And as it is with the people, so it shall be with the priest; as with the servant, so with the master; as with the handmaid, so it is with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor. ³ The land shall be completely emptied, and utterly stripped; for Jehovah has spoken this Word. ⁴ The earth mourns and languishes; the world droops and languishes; the proud people of the earth droop. ⁵ And the land is defiled under its people; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, and have broken the everlasting covenant. ⁶ Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and they who dwell in it are deserted; therefore the people of the earth are burned, and few men left. ⁷ The new wine mourns, the vine droops, all the merry-hearted sigh. ⁸ The gladness of tambourines ceases, the noise of those who rejoice ends; the joy of the harp ceases. ⁹ They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to those who drink it. ¹⁰ The city of shame is broken down; every house is shut up so that no one may come in. ¹¹ A crying for wine is in the streets; all joy is darkened, the gladness in the land has gone. ¹² In the city is left desolation, and the gate is stricken with ruin. ¹³ For so it is in the midst of the land among the people, it shall be like the shaking of an olive tree and as gleanings when the grape harvest is completed. ¹⁴ They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of Jehovah, they shall cry aloud from the sea. ¹⁵ Therefore glorify Jehovah in the flames, the name of the Lord Jehovah of Israel in the coasts of the sea. ¹⁶ From the ends of the earth we have heard songs, glory to the righteous. But I said, Leanness to me! Leanness to me! Woe to me! Deceivers deceive, even with treachery. Deceivers deceive! ¹⁷ Dread, and the pit, and the snare are on you, O dweller of the earth. ¹⁸ And it shall be, he who flees from the sound of dread shall fall into the pit. And he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare. For the windows from on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth quake. ¹⁹ The earth is breaking, breaking! The earth is crashing, crashing! The earth is tottering, tottering! ²⁰ Like a drunkard the earth is staggering, staggering! And it rocks to and fro like a tree-hut! And its sins heavy on it; and it shall fall and not rise again. ²¹ And it shall be in that day, Jehovah shall punish the host of the high place on high, and on the kings of the earth on the earth. ²² And they shall be gathered, as prisoners are gathered in a dungeon. And they shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days they shall be judged. ²³ Then the moon shall blush, and the sun shall be ashamed, when Jehovah of Hosts shall reign in Mount Zion, in Jerusalem, and gloriously before His elders.

²⁵ And there shall be on every high mountain, and on every high hill, rivers, streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

²⁷ Behold, the name of Jehovah comes from far, burning with His anger, and uplifting of smoke; His lips are full of fury, and His tongue like a devouring fire. ²⁸ And like an overflowing stream, His breath shall reach to the middle of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity. And a bridle will be in the jaws of the people, causing them to go astray. ²⁹ You shall have a song, as in the keeping of a holy feast night; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to come into the mountain of Jehovah, to the mighty One of Israel. ³⁰ And Jehovah shall cause His glorious voice to be heard, and the bringing down of His arm shall be seen with raging anger and flame of a devouring fire, cloudburst and storm and hailstones.

¹⁵ For so says Jehovah, the God of Israel, to me, Take the wine cup of this wrath at My hand, and cause all the nations to whom I shall send you to drink it. ¹⁶ And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be maddened, because of the sword that I will send among them. ¹⁷ Then I took the cup at Jehovah's hand, and made all the nations drink, to whom Jehovah had sent me. ¹⁸ Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings of them, and their rulers, to make them a ruin, a horror, a hissing, and a curse, as it is today, ¹⁹ Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and his servants, and his rulers, and all his people, ²⁰ and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the rest of Ashdod; ²¹ Edom, and Moab, and the sons of Ammon, ²² and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the coastlands beyond the sea, ²³ Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and those who trim the edges of their beards. ²⁴ and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the desert, ²⁵ and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes, ²⁶ and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the face of the earth; and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them. ²⁷ So you shall say to them, So says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Drink and be drunk, and vomit, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you. ²⁸ And it shall be if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall say to them, So says Jehovah of Hosts, You shall certainly drink. ²⁹ For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by My name; and should you be found entirely without guilt? You shall not be without guilt. For I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Jehovah of Hosts.

⁹ Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up. ¹⁰ Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weak say, I am strong. ¹¹ Gather yourselves and come, all you nations, and gather yourselves together all around; cause Your mighty ones to come down there, O Jehovah. ¹² Let the nations be awakened and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat; for there I will sit to judge all the nations all around. ¹³ Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, come down; for the press is full; the vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. ¹⁴ Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision; for the day of Jehovah is near in the valley of decision!

¹ The words of Amos, who was among the herdsmen of Tekoa; the Word which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. ² And he said, Jehovah will roar from Zion and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the pastures of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall dry up.

² God is jealous, and Jehovah revenges; Jehovah revenges and is a possessor of wrath. Jehovah takes vengeance against His foes, and He keeps wrath against His enemies. ³ Jehovah is slow to anger, and great in power. And He does not by any means acquit the guilty. Jehovah has His way in the tempest and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. ⁴ He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers; Bashan and Carmel wither, and the flower of Lebanon withers. ⁵ The mountains quake from Him, and the hills melt, and the earth is lifted up from before Him; even the world and all who dwell in it. ⁶ Who can stand before His fury? And who can stand up in the heat of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken down because of Him.

⁸ Therefore wait for Me, says Jehovah, for the day I rise up to the prey; for My judgment is to gather the nations, for Me to collect the kingdoms, to pour on them My fury, all My hot anger. For all the earth shall be burned up with the fire of My jealousy.

³ And Jehovah shall go out and fight against those nations, like the day He fought in the day of battle.

¹² And this shall be the plague with which Jehovah will strike all the peoples who have fought against Jerusalem. Their flesh shall rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes shall rot in their sockets. And their tongue shall rot in their mouth. ¹³ And it shall be in that day a great panic of Jehovah shall be among them And they shall each one lay hold of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor. ¹⁴ And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the nations all around shall be gathered, gold, and silver, and clothing in great abundance. ¹⁵ And so shall be the plague of the horse, the mule, the camel, and the ass, and of all the beasts which shall be in these tents, like this plague. ¹⁶ And it shall be, everyone who is left of all the nations which came up against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, Jehovah of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

¹² And when He had opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. ¹³ And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs when she is shaken by a mighty wind. ¹⁴ And the heaven departed like a scroll when it is rolled together. And every mountain and island were moved out of their places. ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains. ¹⁶ And they said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him sitting on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; ¹⁷ for the great day of His wrath has come, and who will be able to stand?

¹⁵ And another angel came out of the temple, crying in a great voice to Him sitting on the cloud, Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth was dried. ¹⁶ And He sitting on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. ¹⁷ And another angel came out of the temple in Heaven, also having a sharp sickle. ¹⁸ And another angel came out from the altar, who had authority over fire. And he spoke with a great cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe. ¹⁹ And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the anger of God. ²⁰ And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even to the bridles of the horses, for the space of a thousand, six hundred stadia.

¹⁵ And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of Almighty God. ¹⁶ And He has on His garment, and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. ¹⁷ And I saw one angel standing in the sun. And he cried with a great voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, Come and gather together to the supper of the great God, ¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of commanders, and the flesh of strong ones, and the flesh of horses, and those sitting on them, and the flesh of all, both free and slave, both small and great. ¹⁹ And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth and their armies, being gathered to make war against Him who sat on the horse, and against His army. ²⁰ And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet doing signs before it, (by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast), and those who had worshiped his image. The two were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest were slain by the sword of Him who sat on the horse, it proceeding out of His mouth. And all the birds were filled from their flesh.

⁹ And they went up over the breadth of the earth and circled around the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of Heaven and devoured them.

¹⁵ And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.
