¹ The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. ² Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for Jehovah has spoken, I have nursed and brought up sons, and they have rebelled against Me. ³ The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's crib; but Israel does not know; My people do not understand. ⁴ Woe, sinful nation, a people heavy with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, sons who corrupt! They have forsaken Jehovah; they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger; they have gone away backward. ⁵ Why should you be stricken any more? You will revolt more and more; the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. ⁶ From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it; only a wound and a stripe and a fresh blow; they have not been closed, nor bound up, nor soothed with oil. ⁷ Your land is wasted, your cities burned with fire. Strangers devour your land right before your eyes, and it is wasted, as overthrown by strangers. ⁸ And the daughter of Zion is left a booth in a vineyard, like a hut in a garden of cucumbers, like a besieged city. ⁹ Except Jehovah of Hosts had left us a very small remnant, we would be as Sodom; we would be like Gomorrah. ¹⁰ Hear the Word of Jehovah, rulers of Sodom; give ear to the Law of our God, people of Gomorrah. ¹¹ To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me? says Jehovah; I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of he-goats. ¹² When you come to appear before Me, who has required this at your hand, to trample My courts? ¹³ Bring no more vain sacrifice; incense is an abomination to Me; the new moon and sabbath, the going to meeting; I cannot endure evil and the assembly! ¹⁴ Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; they are a trouble to Me; I am weary to bear them. ¹⁵ And when you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood. ¹⁶ Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil; ¹⁷ learn to do good; seek judgment, reprove the oppressor. Judge the orphan, plead for the widow. ¹⁸ Come now, and let us reason together, says Jehovah; though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool. ¹⁹ If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; ²⁰ but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken. ²¹ How has the faithful city become a harlot? It was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it, but now murderers. ²² Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water; ²³ your rulers are rebellious, and companions of thieves; everyone loves a bribe, and is pursuing rewards; they do not judge the orphan, nor does the cause of the widow come to them. ²⁴ And the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, the mighty One of Israel, says, Alas! I will ease Myself of My foes, and avenge Myself of My enemies. ²⁵ And I will turn back My hand on you, and purge away your dross as with lye, and take away all your alloy. ²⁶ And I will restore your judges as at first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterwards you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city. ²⁷ Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her returning ones with righteousness. ²⁸ And the downfall of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together; and those who forsake Jehovah shall be consumed. ²⁹ For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, and you shall be ashamed for the gardens which you have chosen. ³⁰ For you shall be like an oak whose leaf fades, and like a garden that has no water. ³¹ And the strong shall be like tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall put them out.

¹³ But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before Jehovah, exceedingly so.

²⁶ And Jehovah said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

³² And he said, Oh do not let Jehovah be angry, and I will speak only once more. Perhaps ten shall be found there. And He said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

²⁴ Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire, from Jehovah out of the heavens.

¹⁶ And on the first day shall be a holy gathering, and in the seventh day there shall be a holy gathering for you. No manner of work shall be done in them, except that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you.

⁸ And you shall take no bribe, for the bribe blinds the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.

²³ Three times in the year your men shall appear before the Lord Jehovah, the God of Israel.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ² Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, The feasts of Jehovah, which you shall proclaim, holy convocations, even these are My appointed feasts. ³ Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work. It is a sabbath to Jehovah in all your dwellings. ⁴ These are the appointed feasts of Jehovah, holy convocations which you shall proclaim in their appointed seasons. ⁵ In the fourteenth day of the first month, between the evenings, is Jehovah's Passover, ⁶ and on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to Jehovah. You must eat unleavened bread seven days. ⁷ On the first day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no work of labor, ⁸ but you shall offer a fire offering to Jehovah seven days. In the seventh day is a holy convocation. And the drink offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. ¹⁴ And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears, until the same day, until you have brought an offering to your God. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ¹⁵ And you shall count to you from the next day after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete. ¹⁶ To the next day after the seventh sabbath you shall number fifty days. And you shall offer a new food offering to Jehovah. ¹⁷ You shall bring out of your homes two wave loaves of two-tenth parts. They shall be of fine flour. They shall be baked with leaven, firstfruits to Jehovah. ¹⁸ And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bull, and two rams. They shall be for a burnt offering to Jehovah, with their food offering, and their drink offerings, a fire offering of sweet savor to Jehovah. ¹⁹ Then you shall sacrifice one he-goat for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. ²⁰ And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits, a wave offering before Jehovah, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to Jehovah for the priest. ²¹ And you shall proclaim on the same day that it may be a holy convocation to you. You shall do no work of labor. It shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. ²² And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not completely reap the corner of your field. When you reap the gleaning of your harvest, you shall not gather. You shall leave them to the poor and to the stranger. I am Jehovah your God. ²³ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ²⁴ Speak to the sons of Israel saying: In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath, a memorial summons, a holy convocation. ²⁵ You shall do no work of labor but you shall offer a fire offering to Jehovah. ²⁶ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ²⁷ Also, on the tenth of this seventh month, this is a day of atonement. It shall be a holy convocation to you. And you shall afflict your souls and offer a fire offering to Jehovah. ²⁸ And you shall do no work in that same day, for it is a day of atonement, in order to make an atonement for you before Jehovah your God. ²⁹ For any soul who is not humbled in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. ³⁰ And any soul who does any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. ³¹ You shall do no kind of work. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ³² It shall be to you a sabbath of rest, and you shall humble your souls. In the ninth of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your sabbath. ³³ And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying, ³⁴ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to Jehovah. ³⁵ On the first day shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no work of labor. ³⁶ Seven days you shall offer a fire offering to Jehovah. On the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you. And you shall offer a fire offering to Jehovah. It is a solemn assembly. And you shall do no work of labor. ³⁷ These are the feasts of Jehovah which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer a fire offering to Jehovah, a burnt offering and a food offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, everything on its day; ³⁸ besides the sabbath of Jehovah, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your free-will offerings which you give to Jehovah. ³⁹ Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast to Jehovah seven days. On the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. ⁴⁰ And you shall take the fruit of majestic trees for yourselves on the first day, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the valley. And you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God seven days. ⁴¹ And you shall keep it a feast to Jehovah seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall keep it in the seventh month. ⁴² You shall live in booths seven days. All that are born Israelites shall live in booths, ⁴³ so that your generations may know that I made the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am Jehovah your God. ⁴⁴ And Moses declared the feasts of Jehovah to the sons of Israel.

³³ And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out a sword after you. And your land shall be waste, and your cities waste. ³⁴ Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths, as long as it lies waste, and you are in your enemies' land; then shall the land rest and enjoy its sabbaths.

⁶ And He said, Hear now My words. If there is a prophet among you, I Jehovah will make Myself known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream.

¹⁵ And Moses was very angry, and said to Jehovah, Do not respect their offering. I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

¹⁹ God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

⁴ he has said; he who heard the words of God, who saw the vision of the Almighty, falling down but having his eyes open;

¹⁶ he has said, he who heard the words of God and knew the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down but having his eyes open;

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ² Command the sons of Israel, and say to them, My offering and My bread for My sacrifices made by fire, a sweet savor to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me in their due season. ³ And you shall say to them, This is the fire offering which you shall offer to Jehovah: two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, a continual burnt offering. ⁴ The one lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer between the evenings. ⁵ And a tenth of an ephah of flour for a food offering, mixed with the fourth of a hin of beaten oil. ⁶ It is a continual burnt offering which was ordained in Mount Sinai for a sweet savor, a fire offering to Jehovah, ⁷ and its drink offering shall be the fourth of a hin for the one lamb. Pour a drink offering of strong drink to Jehovah in the holy place. ⁸ And the other lamb you shall offer between the evenings, even as the food offering of the morning, and as its drink offering, you shall offer it, a fire offering, a sweet savor to Jehovah. ⁹ And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two-tenth parts of flour for a food offering, mixed with oil, and its drink offering; ¹⁰ this is the burnt offering of every sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering. ¹¹ And in the beginning of your months you shall offer a burnt offering to Jehovah: two young bulls, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot, ¹² and three tenth parts of flour for a food offering, mixed with oil, for one bull, and two-tenth parts of flour for a food offering, mixed with oil, for one ram; ¹³ and a separate tenth part of flour mixed with oil for a food offering to one lamb, for a burnt offering of a sweet savor, a fire offering to Jehovah. ¹⁴ And their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine to a bull, and the third of a hin to a ram, and a fourth a hin to a lamb. This is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year. ¹⁵ And one kid of the goats for a sin offering to Jehovah shall be prepared, besides the continual burnt offering and its drink offering. ¹⁶ And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of Jehovah. ¹⁷ And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast. Seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. ¹⁸ In the first day shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no kind of laboring work. ¹⁹ But you shall offer a fire offering for a burnt offering to Jehovah: two young bulls, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year. They shall be to you without blemish. ²⁰ And their food offering shall be of flour mixed with oil: three tenth parts you shall prepare for a bull, and two tenth parts for a ram. ²¹ You shall prepare one tenth part for the one lamb, and for the seven lambs; ²² and one goat, a sin offering to make an atonement for you. ²³ You shall prepare these besides the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. ²⁴ In this way you shall offer daily, seven days, the bread of the fire offering, a sweet savor to Jehovah. It shall be offered besides the continual burnt offering and its drink offering. ²⁵ And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no laboring work. ²⁶ And in the day of the first-fruits, when you bring a new food offering to Jehovah in your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no laboring work. ²⁷ And you shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savor to Jehovah: two young bulls, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; ²⁸ and their food offering of flour mixed with oil, three tenth parts to one bull, two tenth parts to one ram, ²⁹ one tenth part to one lamb, for the seven lambs,

¹⁴ And behold, you are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to add still more to the fierce anger of Jehovah toward Israel.

³¹ and in the wilderness where you have seen how Jehovah your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came into this place.

⁷ For who is a great nation whose God is coming near to them, as Jehovah our God is, in all our calling on Him? ⁸ And who is a great nation whose statutes and judgments are so righteous as all this Law which I set before you today?

²⁶ I call Heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land which you are crossing over Jordan to possess. You shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

²² And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at the Graves of Lust, you provoked Jehovah to anger. ²³ And when Jehovah sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying: Go up and possess the land which I have given you, then you rebelled against the commandment of Jehovah your God, and you did not believe Him, nor listened to His voice. ²⁴ You have been rebellious against Jehovah from the day that I knew you.

¹ Observe the month Abib, and keep the Passover to Jehovah your God. For in the month of Abib, Jehovah your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night. ² And you shall therefore sacrifice the Passover to Jehovah your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which Jehovah shall choose to place His name there. ³ You shall eat no leavened bread with it. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, the bread of affliction, for you came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste, so that you may remember the day that you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. ⁴ And there shall be no leavened bread seen with you in all your borders for seven days. Nor shall any of the flesh which you sacrificed in the first day at evening remain all night until the morning. ⁵ You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates, which Jehovah your God gives you, ⁶ but at the place which Jehovah your God shall choose to place His name in, there you shall sacrifice the Passover at evening, at the going of the sun, at the time that you came out of Egypt. ⁷ And you shall roast and eat in the place which Jehovah your God shall choose. And in the morning you shall turn and go to your tents. ⁸ Six days you shall eat unleavened bread. And on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to Jehovah your God. You shall do no work. ⁹ You shall count seven weeks to yourselves. Begin to count the seven weeks from the time you began to put the sickle to the grain. ¹⁰ And you shall keep the Feast of Weeks to Jehovah your God with a measure of a free-will offering of your hand, which you shall give according as Jehovah your God has blessed you. ¹¹ And you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your slave girl, and the Levite inside your gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, those among you, in the place which Jehovah your God has chosen to place His name there. ¹² And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt. ⁴⁸ therefore you shall serve your enemies which Jehovah shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in the lack of all things. And he shall put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you. ⁴⁹ Jehovah shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies; a nation whose tongue you shall not understand, ⁵⁰ a nation fierce of face who shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young. ⁵¹ And he shall eat the fruit of your cattle and the fruit of your land, until you are destroyed. He shall not leave you grain, wine, or oil, the increase of your livestock, or flocks of your sheep, until he has destroyed you. ⁵² And he shall besiege you in all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down, throughout all the land. And he shall besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land which Jehovah your God has given you.

⁶³ And it shall be, as Jehovah rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so Jehovah will rejoice over you to destroy you and to bring you to nothing. And you shall be plucked from off the land where you go to possess it.

²³ the whole land shall be burned with brimstone, and salt; it shall not be sown; nor shall it sprout; nor shall there be any grass in it. It shall be like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which Jehovah overthrew in His anger, and in His wrath,

²⁵ Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of Jehovah, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them forth out of the land of Egypt.

I have set before you today life and good, and death and evil, ¹⁶ in that I command you today to love Jehovah your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, so that you may live and multiply. And Jehovah your God shall bless you in the land where you go to possess it.

¹⁹ I call Heaven and earth to record today against you. I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life, so that both you and your seed may live,

¹⁶ And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. And this people shall rise up and go lusting after the gods of the strangers of the land into which they are going, into their midst. And they will forsake Me and break My covenant which I made with them.

²⁸ For they are a nation without wisdom, neither is there any understanding in them. ²⁹ If they were wise, they would understand this; they would consider their latter end!

³² For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are grapes of gall. Their clusters are bitter.

⁴³ Rejoice, O, nations, with His people; for He will avenge the blood of His servants, and will render vengeance to His foes and will be merciful to His land, to His people.

¹⁰ And the sons of Israel cried to Jehovah, saying, We have sinned against You, both because we have forsaken our God and also have served the Baals.

¹⁴ He came to Lehi, and the Philistines shouted against him. And the Spirit of Jehovah came mightily upon him, and the cords on his arms became as flax that has been burned with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

² And now, behold, the king walks before you. And I am old and gray-headed, and, behold, my sons are with you. And I have walked before you from my childhood to this day. ³ Behold, here I am. Witness against me before Jehovah and before His anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Or whose ass have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I received a bribe, to blind my eyes with it? And I will restore it to you. ⁴ And they said, You have not defrauded us nor oppressed us, neither have you taken from any man's hand. ⁵ And he said to them, Jehovah is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand. And they answered, He is witness.

⁷ And now stand still, so that I may reason with you before Jehovah of all the righteous acts of Jehovah which He did to you and to your fathers.

²⁵ But if you shall still do wickedly, both you and your king, will be swept away.

²² And Samuel said, Does Jehovah delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice! To listen is better than the fat of rams!

²⁹ And also the Glory of Israel will not lie nor repent, for He is not a man that He should repent.

¹⁵ And David reigned over all Israel. And David did judgment and justice to all his people.

²² And Solomon stood before the altar of Jehovah in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward the heavens.

⁵⁴ And it happened as Solomon finished praying all this prayer and petition to Jehovah, he rose from before the altar of Jehovah, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

⁶ If you shall at all turn from following Me, you or your sons, and will not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them, ⁷ then I will cut off Israel from the face of the land which I have given them. And this house which I have made holy for My name I will cast out of My sight. And Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people. ⁸ As to this house which is exalted, everyone who passes by it shall be amazed and shall hiss. And they shall say, Why has Jehovah done this to this land and to this house? ⁹ And they shall answer, Because they left Jehovah their God who brought out their fathers from the land of Egypt, and have taken hold on other gods and have worshiped them and served them. On account of this Jehovah has brought on them all this evil.

For the king commanded the burnt offering and the sin offering to be made for all Israel. ²⁵ And he set the Levites in the house of Jehovah with cymbals, with harps, and with lyres, according to the command of David, and of Gad the king's seer and Nathan the prophet. For the commandment was by the hand of Jehovah by His prophets. ²⁶ And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets. ²⁷ And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering on the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of Jehovah began with the trumpets and with the instruments ordained by David king of Israel. ²⁸ And all the congregation worshiped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded. All this went on until the burnt offering was finished. ²⁹ And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all who were present with him bowed themselves and worshiped. ³⁰ And Hezekiah the king and the rulers commanded the Levites to sing praise to Jehovah with the words of David and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped. ³¹ And Hezekiah answered and said, And you have consecrated yourselves to Jehovah. Come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of Jehovah. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings. And as many as were of a free heart brought burnt offerings. ³² And the number of the burnt offerings which the congregation brought was seventy oxen, a hundred rams, two hundred lambs. All these were for a burnt offering to Jehovah. ³³ And the things consecrated were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.

¹ And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Jehovah, the God of Israel. ² And the king and his leaders, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, took counsel to keep the Passover in the second month. ³ For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not made themselves pure enough, nor had the people gathered to Jerusalem. ⁴ And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation. ⁵ And they established a decree to send a notice throughout all Israel, from Beer-sheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Jehovah, the God of Israel at Jerusalem. For not many of them had done as it was written. ⁶ And the runners went with the letters from the king and his rulers to Israel and Judah, and according to the command of the king, saying, O sons of Israel, turn again to Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and He will return to the remnant of you who have escaped out of the hands of the king of Assyria. ⁷ And do not be like your fathers and like your brothers who sinned against Jehovah, the God of their fathers, and He made them for a horror, as you see. ⁸ And do not be stiffnecked like your fathers. Yield yourselves to Jehovah and enter into His temple which He has sanctified forever. And serve Jehovah your God, so that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you. ⁹ For if you turn again to Jehovah, your brothers and your sons will have mercies before those who lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land. For Jehovah your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him. ¹⁰ And the runners passed from city to city in the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun. But they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them. ¹¹ However, men from Asher and Manasseh and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem. ¹² Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the command of the king and of the rulers, by the Word of Jehovah. ¹³ And many people gathered at Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month, a very great congregation. ¹⁴ And they arose and took away the altars in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense they took away, and threw them into the torrent Kidron. ¹⁵ And they killed the Passover on the fourteenth of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed and made themselves pure, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of Jehovah. ¹⁶ And they stood in their place in their manner, according to the Law of Moses the man of God. The priests sprinkled the blood from the hand of the Levites. ¹⁷ For many in the congregation were not sanctified. And the Levites were over the killing of the passovers for every one who was not clean, to sanctify them to Jehovah. ¹⁸ For many of the people, many from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not been cleansed, but ate the Passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, May the good LORD pardon everyone ¹⁹ who prepares his heart to seek God, Jehovah, the God of his fathers, though not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary. ²⁰ And Jehovah listened to Hezekiah and healed the people. ²¹ And the sons of Israel found at Jerusalem kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great gladness. And the Levites and the priests praised Jehovah day by day with loud instruments to Jehovah. ²² And Hezekiah spoke comfortably to all the Levites who taught the good knowledge of Jehovah. And they ate the appointed things seven days, offering peace offerings and making confession to Jehovah, the God of their fathers. ²³ And the whole gathering agreed to keep another seven days. And they kept another seven days with gladness. ²⁴ For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the congregation a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep. And the rulers gave to the congregation a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep. And a great number of priests sanctified themselves. ²⁵ And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and who lived in Judah, rejoiced. ²⁶ And there was great joy in Jerusalem. For from the days of Solomon the son of David the king of Israel there was nothing like this in Jerusalem. ²⁷ And the priests, the Levites, arose and blessed the people. And their voice was heard, and their prayer came to His holy dwelling-place, to Heaven.

And all the sons of Israel returned, each to his possession, into their own cities. ² And Hezekiah set the courses of the priests and the Levites according to their divisions, each according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of Jehovah. ³ And the king's portion from his goods was for burnt offerings, and for burnt offerings of the morning and the evening, and the burnt offerings of the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the Law of Jehovah. ⁴ And he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites so that they might be strong in the Law of Jehovah. ⁵ And as the command spread, the sons of Israel brought plentifully of the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field. And the tithe of all things they brought in abundance. ⁶ And the sons of Israel and Judah who lived in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated to Jehovah their God, and laid it up by heaps. ⁷ In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished in the seventh month. ⁸ And Hezekiah and the rulers came and saw the heaps, and they blessed Jehovah and His people Israel. ⁹ And Hezekiah asked the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps. ¹⁰ And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of Jehovah, we have had enough to eat and have plenty left. For Jehovah has blessed His people, and this great store is left. ¹¹ And Hezekiah commanded storehouses to be prepared in the house of Jehovah. And they prepared, ¹² and brought in the offerings and the tithes and the things dedicated to God faithfully. And over them was Cononiah the Levite ruler, and Shimei his brother the next. ¹³ And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the command of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God. ¹⁴ And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the gatekeeper toward the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the sacrifices of Jehovah and the most holy things. ¹⁵ And next to him Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their set office, to give to their brothers by divisions, to the great as well as to the small, ¹⁶ besides registering the males from three years and upward, to everyone who enters into the house of Jehovah, giving his daily portion for their service in their charges according to their divisions, ¹⁷ both to the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, and their charges by their divisions, ¹⁸ and to the genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation. For in their set office they set themselves apart in holiness. ¹⁹ And to the sons of Aaron, the priests, in the fields of the open lands of their cities, in each separate city were the men who were named by name, to give shares to all the males among the priests, and to all who were counted by genealogies among the Levites. ²⁰ And Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and did the good and the right and the true before Jehovah his God. ²¹ And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

¹ After these things done in faithfulness, Sennacherib, the king of Assyria, came and entered into Judah, and camped against the fortified cities, and commanded to break them open to himself. ² And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come, and that he had set his face to fight against Jerusalem, ³ he took counsel with his rulers and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains outside the city. And they helped him. ⁴ And there were gathered many people, who stopped all the fountains, and the torrent which ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the king of Assyria come and find much water? ⁵ And he made himself strong and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall outside, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance. ⁶ And he set commanders of war over the people and gathered them to himself in the street of the gate of the city. And he spoke to their heart, saying, ⁷ Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of the king of Assyria, or for all the multitude with him. For there are more with us than with him. ⁸ With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is Jehovah our God to help us and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. ⁹ After this Sennacherib king of Assyria sent his servants to Jerusalem; and he was against Lachish, and all his forces with him against Hezekiah king of Judah, and against all Judah in Jerusalem, saying, ¹⁰ Sennacherib king of Assyria says this, On what do you trust that you sit under siege in Jerusalem? ¹¹ Does not Hezekiah persuade you to give yourselves over to die by famine and by thirst, saying, Jehovah our God shall deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria? ¹² Has not the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, You shall worship before one altar and burn incense on it? ¹³ Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the people of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands in any way able to deliver their lands out of my hands? ¹⁴ Who among all the gods of those nations that my fathers completely destroyed is able to deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of my hand? ¹⁵ And now do not let Hezekiah deceive you or persuade you in this way, nor yet believe him. For no god of any nation was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers. How much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand? ¹⁶ And his servants spoke still more against Jehovah God, and against His servant Hezekiah. ¹⁷ He also wrote letters to revile Jehovah, the God of Israel, and to speak against Him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of my hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver His people out of my hand. ¹⁸ And they cried out with a loud voice in Jewish to the people of Jerusalem on the wall, in order to frighten them and to trouble them, so that they might take the city. ¹⁹ And they spoke against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the peoples of the earth, the work of the hands of man. ²⁰ And for this reason Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to Heaven. ²¹ And Jehovah sent an angel to cut off all the mighty men of power, and the leaders and commanders in the camp of the king of Assyria. And he returned with shame of face to his own land. And he came into the house of his god, and those from his own bowels killed him there with the sword. ²² And Jehovah saved Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side. ²³ And many brought gifts to Jehovah to Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah, so that he was magnified in the sight of all nations from that time on. ²⁴ In those days Hezekiah was sick to death, and prayed to Jehovah. And He spoke to him, and He gave him a sign. ²⁵ But Hezekiah did not give again according to the good done to him, for his heart was lifted up. And there was wrath on him and on Judah and Jerusalem. ²⁶ And Hezekiah was humbled for the pride of his heart, he and the people of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of Jehovah did not come on them in the days of Hezekiah. ²⁷ And Hezekiah had exceedingly much riches and honor. And he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all kinds of pleasant jewels. ²⁸ And he made storehouses for the increase of grain and wine and oil, and stalls for all kinds of animals, and stalls for flocks. ²⁹ And he provided himself cities, and possessions of flocks and herds, in abundance. For God had given him very many things. ³⁰ And Hezekiah himself stopped the upper water courses of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah was blessed in all his works. ³¹ But, in regard to the ambassadors of the rulers of Babylon who sent to him to ask about the wonder that was done in the land, God left him in order to try him, to know all that was in his heart. ³² And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel. ³³ And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the highest of the tombs of the sons of David. And all Judah and the people of Jerusalem honored him at his death. And his son Manasseh reigned in his place.

⁸ Understand, you beastly ones among the people; and fools, when will you be wise?

⁹ Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

¹ Guard your steps when you go to the house of God, and be more ready to hear than to give the sacrifice of fools. For they do not know that they are doing evil.

²¹ How has the faithful city become a harlot? It was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it, but now murderers. ²² Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water; ²³ your rulers are rebellious, and companions of thieves; everyone loves a bribe, and is pursuing rewards; they do not judge the orphan, nor does the cause of the widow come to them.

⁵ They said, Turn again now, each one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Jehovah has given to you and to your fathers forever and ever.

⁵ And it happened on the next day that their rulers and elders and scribes, gathered to Jerusalem, ⁶ and Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest. ⁷ And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name have you done this? ⁸ Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel, ⁹ if we are examined today on a good work for an infirm man, by what this one has been healed, ¹⁰ be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this name does this man stand before you whole. ¹¹ This is the Stone which you builders have counted worthless, and He has become the Head of the Corner.

²⁰ For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

¹⁶ And now what do you intend? Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

²⁵ And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and the Judgment to come, Felix trembled and answered, Go for this time, but taking time later, I will call for you.

²⁰ But the Law entered so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound,

²¹ What fruit did you have then in those things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

⁷ because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be.

⁴ who are Israelites; to whom belong the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the Law, and the service of God, and the promises; ⁵ whose are the fathers, and of whom is the Christ according to flesh, He being God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

²⁷ Isaiah also cries concerning Israel, "Though the number of the sons of Israel is as the sands of the sea, a remnant shall be saved.

²⁹ And as Isaiah said before, "Unless the Lord of hosts had left us a seed, we would have been as Sodom, and would have been like Gomorrah."

⁴ But what does the Divine answer say to him? "I have reserved to Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal." ⁵ Even so then, also in this present time a remnant according to the election of grace has come into being. ⁶ But if by grace, then it is no more of works; otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it is of works, then it is no more of grace; otherwise work is no more work.

²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob. ²⁷ For this is My covenant with them, when I have taken away their sins."

⁹ Let love be without hypocrisy, shrinking from evil, cleaving to good;

³⁰ But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption;

¹⁷ But in enjoining this, I do not praise you, because you come together not for the better, but for the worse.

¹⁷ For we are not as many, hawking the Word of God; but as of sincerity, but as of God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.

²¹ For He has made Him who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

¹ Then having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹ Indeed, it is not profitable for me to boast. For I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace, in which He has made us accepted in the One having been loved. ⁷ In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, ⁸ which He caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding;

²² For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, ²³ and be renewed in the spirit of your mind. ²⁴ And you should put on the new man, who according to God was created in righteousness and true holiness. ²⁵ Therefore putting away lying, let each man speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. ²⁶ Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down upon your wrath, ²⁷ neither give place to the Devil. ²⁸ Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, so that he may have something to give to him who needs. ²⁹ Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect of need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing. ³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed until the day of redemption.

²⁴ who now rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf, and I fill up the things lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh, on behalf of His body, which is the church;

³ For when they shall say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail upon a woman with child. And they shall not escape.

⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁹ who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

⁸ Therefore, I desire that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

² on hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the eternal times,

¹¹ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, ¹² teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world, ¹³ looking for the blessed hope, and the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works.

⁵ And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons, "My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by Him; ⁶ for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and He scourges every son whom He receives." ⁷ If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons, for what son is he whom the father does not chasten? ⁸ But if you are without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then you are bastards and not sons.

²² But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

⁸ Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners; and purify your hearts, double-minded ones.

¹⁸ knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot;

⁶ And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, He condemned them with an overthrow, setting an example to men intending to live ungodly.

⁵ For this is hidden from them by their willing it, that the heavens were of old, and the earth out of the water, and through water, being held together by the Word of God,

⁷ But the present heavens and the earth being kept in store by the same Word, are being kept for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; therefore be zealous and repent.

¹⁴ And the heaven departed like a scroll when it is rolled together. And every mountain and island were moved out of their places. ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains. ¹⁶ And they said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him sitting on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; ¹⁷ for the great day of His wrath has come, and who will be able to stand?

¹⁴ And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation and have washed their robes, and have whitened them in the blood of the Lamb.

² But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it was given to the nations. And they will trample the holy city forty-two months.

⁸ And their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

¹⁰ he also will drink of the wine of the anger of God, having been mixed undiluted in the cup of His wrath. And he will be tormented by fire and brimstone before the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. And they have no rest day or night, those who worship the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.

⁸ And the fourth angel poured out his vial onto the sun. And it was given to him to burn men with fire. ⁹ And men were burned with great heat. And they blasphemed the name of God, He having authority over these plagues. And they did not repent in order to give Him glory. ¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his vial on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom became darkened. And they gnawed their tongues from the pain. ¹¹ And they blasphemed the God of Heaven because of their pains and their sores. And they did not repent of their deeds.

⁵ For her sins joined together, even up to Heaven, and God has remembered her unjust deeds.

⁸ Therefore her plagues will come in one day, death and mourning and famine. And she will be consumed with fire, for the Lord God who judges her is strong.

²⁰ And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet doing signs before it, (by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast), and those who had worshiped his image. The two were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire burning with brimstone.

¹⁰ And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

⁸ But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will have their part in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

²⁷ And there shall in no way enter into it anything that defiles, or any making an abomination or a lie; but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
