³ Reside in this land, and I will be with you and bless you. For to you and to your seed I will give all these lands; and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.

¹ And Jehovah said to Abram, Go out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house into a land that I will show you. ² And I will make you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great. And you shall be a blessing.

⁷ And Jehovah appeared to Abram and said, I will give this land to your seed. And he built an altar there to Jehovah who appeared to him.

¹⁵ For all the land which you see I will give to you, and to your seed forever.

¹⁷ Rise up and walk through the land, in the length of it and in the breadth of it, for I will give it to you.

¹⁸ In the same day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying, I have given this land to your seed, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,

⁸ And I will give the land to you in which you are a stranger, and to your seed after you, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. And I will be their God.

¹ And Abraham moved from there toward the south country, and lived between Kadesh and Shur, and stayed in Gerar.

¹⁶ and said, I have sworn by Myself, says Jehovah; because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only one; ¹⁷ that in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your seed like the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore. And your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies. ¹⁸ And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.

¹² Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold. And Jehovah blessed him.

¹⁴ And he had possession of flocks and possession of herds, and many servants. And the Philistines envied him.

¹⁵ And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in every place where you go, and will bring you again into this land. For I will not leave you until I have done that which I have spoken of to you.

² And Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. And he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

²¹ But Jehovah was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

⁸ I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you, My eye shall be on you.

¹ A Psalm of David. Do not fret yourself with evil doers; and do not be envious against the workers of iniquity. ² For they shall soon wither like the grass; and fade as the green herb. ³ Trust in Jehovah, and do good; you shall dwell in the land, and you shall be fed on truth. ⁴ Delight yourself also in Jehovah, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. ⁵ Roll your way on Jehovah; trust also in Him, and He will work. ⁶ And He shall bring forth your righteousness like the light, and your judgment like the noonday.

¹² Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and give ear to my cry. Do not be silent at my tears; for I am a stranger with You, a pilgrim, as all my fathers were.

⁹ the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac;

² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; nor shall the flame kindle on you.

⁵ Fear not; for I am with you. I will bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west.

²⁰ You will give faithfulness to Jacob, mercy to Abraham, which You have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

⁹ Do those things which you have also learned and received and heard and seen in me. And the God of peace shall be with you.

¹⁷ In this way desiring to declare more fully to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, God interposed by an oath,

⁹ By faith he lived in the land of promise as a stranger, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs of the same promise with him.

¹³ These all died by way of faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off. And they were persuaded of them and embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. ¹⁴ For they who say such things declare plainly that they seek a fatherland. ¹⁵ And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from which they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. ¹⁶ But now they stretch forth to a better fatherland, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
