¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years.

²² While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

¹³ I set my rainbow in the cloud. And it shall be a token of a covenant between Me and the earth.

¹⁹ and lest you lift up your eyes to the heavens, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, lest you should be driven to worship them and serve them, which Jehovah your God has allotted to all nations under all the heavens.

⁹ Let the stars of its twilight be dark; let it look for light, but have none. Let it not see the eyelids of the dawn.

³ Is there any number of His armies? And on whom does not His light arise?

⁵ Look even to the moon, and it shines not; yea, the stars are not pure in His sight;

¹² Have you commanded the morning from your days, and caused the dawn to know its place, ¹³ that it might take hold of the ends of the earth; that the wicked might be shaken out of it? ¹⁴ It is turned like clay under a seal; and they stand forth like a garment.

³¹ Can you bind the bands of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion? ³² Can you bring the constellations in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with its sons?

³ When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have established; ⁴ what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You visit him?

¹ To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the expanse proclaims His handiwork. ² Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. ³ There is no speech nor are there words; their voice is not heard. ⁴ Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun, ⁵ and he comes forth as a bridegroom from his canopy; he rejoices as a strong man to run a race, ⁶ going forth from the end of the heavens, and its course is to their ends. And there is nothing hid from its heat.

¹⁶ The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun. ¹⁷ You have set all the borders of the earth; You have made summer and winter.

³ Blow the ram's horn in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

¹⁹ He appointed the moon for seasons; the sun knows its going down. ²⁰ You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the beasts of the forest creep forth.

⁹¹ They stand to this day according to Your ordinances; for all are Your servants.

⁷ To Him who made great lights; for His mercy endures forever. ⁸ The sun to rule by day; for His mercy endures forever. ⁹ the moon and stars to rule by night; for His mercy endures forever.

³ Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all stars of light.

⁶ He has also settled them forever and ever; He has made a decree which shall not pass away.

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and behold, who has created these, who brings out their host by number? He calls them all by names by the greatness of His might, for He is strong in power; not one is lacking.

² So says Jehovah, Do not learn the way of the nations, and do not be terrified at the signs of the heavens; for the nations are terrified at them.

³⁵ So says Jehovah, who gives the sun for a light by day and the laws of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who divides the sea when its waves roar; Jehovah of Hosts is His name;

²⁰ So says Jehovah: If you can break My covenant of the day and My covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season,

²⁵ So says Jehovah: If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not given the ordinances of the heavens and the earth,

⁷ And when I put you out, I will cover the heaven and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. ⁸ I will make all the bright lights of the heavens dark over you, and will set darkness on your land, says the Lord Jehovah.

¹ So says the Lord Jehovah: The gate of the inner court that faces eastward shall be shut the six working days. But on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

⁶ And in the day of the new moon it shall be a bull without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram. They shall be without blemish.

¹⁰ The earth shall tremble before them; the heavens shall shake. The sun and the moon shall grow dark, and the stars shall gather in their light.

³⁰ And I will show wonders in the heavens, and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. ³¹ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Jehovah.

¹⁵ The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall gather in their light.

⁸ seek Him who created the Pleiades and Orion, and who turned the deep darkness into the morning and He darkened the day into night. Seek Him who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the face of the earth; Jehovah is His name;

⁹ And it shall be in that day, says the Lord Jehovah, I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the light of day.

² saying, Where is He who is born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him.

² He answered and said to them, When it is evening, you say, Fair weather; for the sky is red. ³ And in the morning, Foul weather today; for the sky is red and gloomy. Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky, but you cannot see the signs of the times!

²⁹ And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

²⁴ But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

²⁵ And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars. And on the earth will be anxiety of nations with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; ²⁶ men fainting from fear, and expecting those things which have come on the earth. For the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

⁴⁵ And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in the middle.

¹⁹ And I will give wonders in the heaven above, and miracles on the earth below, blood and fire and vapor of smoke. ²⁰ The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious Day of the Lord.

¹² And when He had opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.

¹² And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was stricken, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars, so that the third part of them was darkened, and the day did not appear for a third part of it, and the night also.

² And it opened the bottomless pit. And there arose a smoke out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace. And the sun and air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.
