⁸ And I will give the land to you in which you are a stranger, and to your seed after you, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. And I will be their God.

⁷ And Jehovah appeared to Abram and said, I will give this land to your seed. And he built an altar there to Jehovah who appeared to him.

¹⁵ For all the land which you see I will give to you, and to your seed forever.

¹⁷ Rise up and walk through the land, in the length of it and in the breadth of it, for I will give it to you.

⁷ And He said to him, I am Jehovah that brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give you this land to inherit it. ⁸ And he said, Lord God, by what shall I know that I shall inherit it? ⁹ And He said to him, Take Me a heifer of three years old, and a she-goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon. ¹⁰ And he took all these to himself, and divided them in the middle, and laid each piece against one another; but he did not divide the birds. ¹¹ And when the birds of prey came down upon the carcasses, Abram drove them away. ¹² And it happened as the sun was setting, and a deep sleep fell upon Abram. And, behold, a horror of great darkness fell upon him! ¹³ And He said to Abram, You must surely know that your seed shall be a stranger in a land not theirs, and shall serve them. And they shall afflict them four hundred years. ¹⁴ And also I will judge that nation whom they shall serve. And afterward they shall come out with great substance. ¹⁵ And you shall go to your fathers in peace. You shall be buried in a good old age. ¹⁶ But in the fourth generation they shall come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. ¹⁷ And it happened, the sun went down, and it was dark and behold, a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp passed between those pieces. ¹⁸ In the same day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying, I have given this land to your seed, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, ¹⁹ the Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, ²⁰ and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the giants, ²¹ and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

⁴ I am a stranger and a visitor with you. Give me a possession of a burying place with you, so that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

⁴ And may He give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and to your seed with you, so that you may inherit the land in which you are a stranger, which God gave to Abraham.

⁴ And He said to me, Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you. And I will make of you a multitude of people, and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession.

⁷ And I will take you to Me for a people, and I will be to you a God. And you shall know that I am Jehovah your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

⁶ his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door or to the door-post. And his master shall bore his ear through with an awl, and he shall serve him forever.

¹⁶ Therefore the sons of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for an everlasting covenant. ¹⁷ It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever. For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.

¹⁵ And you shall anoint them, even as you anointed their father, so that they may minister to Me in the priest's office. For their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood for their generations.

³⁴ And this shall be an everlasting statute to you, to make an atonement for the sons of Israel for their sins once a year. And he did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

¹² And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people.

¹³ And he shall have it, and his seed after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the sons of Israel.

³⁷ And because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their seed after them, and brought you out in His sight with His mighty power out of Egypt,

² For you are a holy people to Jehovah your God, and Jehovah has chosen you to be a peculiar people to Himself, above all the nations that are on the earth.

¹⁸ And Jehovah has taken you today to be His peculiar people, as He has promised you, and to keep all His commandments,

¹³ that He may establish you today for a people to Himself, and that He may be a God to you, as He has said to you, and as He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

⁸ When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when He separated the sons of Adam, He set the bounds of the people according to the number of the sons of Israel.

⁵ Although my house is not so with God, yet He has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure. For all my salvation, and all my desire, will He not make it grow?

¹⁷ But the mercy of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness is to sons of sons;

⁹ the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac;

¹¹ saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

¹⁵ And for this cause He is the Mediator of the new covenant, so that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, those who are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
