¹⁵ But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked. You grew fat, thick, and satisfied. Then he forsook God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

¹⁰ And it shall be when Jehovah your God has brought you into the land which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you great and good cities which you did not build, ¹¹ and houses full of every good thing which you did not fill, and wells which are dug, but which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you shall eat and be full, ¹² you shall be on guard lest you forget Jehovah who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves.

¹⁰ And you shall eat and be satisfied, then you shall bless Jehovah your God for the good land which He has given you. ¹¹ Beware that you do not forget Jehovah your God, in not keeping His commandments, and His judgments, and His statutes, which I command you today, ¹² lest when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and lived in them, ¹³ and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied, ¹⁴ then your heart might be lifted up, and you might forget Jehovah your God who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves.

¹⁶ And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. And this people shall rise up and go lusting after the gods of the strangers of the land into which they are going, into their midst. And they will forsake Me and break My covenant which I made with them.

²⁰ For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, the land that flows with milk and honey, and they shall have eaten and have become satisfied, and become fat, then turn to other gods and serve them, and provoke Me and break My covenant.

⁴ He is the Rock; His work is perfect. For all His ways are just, a God of faithfulness, and without evil; just and upright is He.

⁶ Do you thus give back to Jehovah, Oh foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father who bought you? Has He not made you and established you?

⁵ And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered.

²⁶ There is none like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heaven to your help, and in His majesty on the clouds.

²⁹ Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering, which I have commanded in My house? Do you honor your sons above Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people?

⁴⁷ Jehovah lives! And blessed be my Rock, and exalted be the God, the Rock of my salvation.

²⁵ And they took strong cities and a rich land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells already dug, vineyards and olive-yards, and fruit trees in abundance. And they ate and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in Your great goodness.

²⁷ because he has covered his face with fat; he has put fat on his loins.

¹⁰ They are enclosed in their own fat; with their mouth they speak proudly,

⁴⁶ Jehovah lives; and blessed be my rock, and let the God of my salvation be praised.

⁷ Their eyes stand out with fatness; they have more than the heart could imagine.

²⁶ He shall cry to Me, My Father, You are my God, and the rock of my salvation.

¹ Oh come, let us sing to Jehovah; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation.

⁷⁰ Their heart is without feeling, like fat; but I delight in Your Law.

⁴ Woe, sinful nation, a people heavy with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, sons who corrupt! They have forsaken Jehovah; they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger; they have gone away backward.

¹⁰ Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed.

² So says Jehovah who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you; Fear not, O Jacob My servant, and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

⁵ So says Jehovah, What injustice have your fathers found in Me, that they have gone far from Me and have walked after vanity, and have become vain?

⁷ Why shall I pardon you for this? Your sons have forsaken Me, and have sworn by No-gods. When I adjured them, then they committed adultery, and gathered themselves by troops in a harlot's house.

²⁸ They have become fat, they shine. Yes, they go past the deeds of the wicked; they do not judge the cause, the cause of the fatherless, that they may get rich; and they do not judge the right of the needy.

⁶ According to their pasture, so were they filled. They were filled and their heart was lifted up. Therefore they have forgotten Me.

⁵ And he said, Who are you, lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom you persecute. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.

²⁷ For the heart of this people was fattened, and they have heard with their ears dully; and they closed their eyes; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."

⁴ Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and the forbearance and long-suffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? ⁵ But according to your hardness and your impenitent heart, do you treasure up wrath for yourself in a day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
