³ then Jehovah your God will turn your captivity. And He will have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the nations where Jehovah your God has scattered you.

¹ And in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, so that the Word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying, ² So says Cyrus king of Persia, Jehovah, the God of Heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. ³ Who is there among you of all His people? Let his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of Jehovah, the God of Israel (He is God) which is in Jerusalem. ⁴ And whoever remains in any place where he resides, let the men of his place help him with silver and with gold and with goods and with animals, besides the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

⁴⁵ and He remembered His covenant for them, and was moved to pity, according to the multitude of His mercies. ⁴⁶ And He gave them to tender mercies before the face of all their captors. ⁴⁷ Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name and to triumph in Your praise.

¹ A Song of degrees. When Jehovah turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. ² Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then they said among the nations, Jehovah has done great things with them. ³ Great things did Jehovah to work with us and we are glad. ⁴ Turn again our captivity, O Jehovah, as the streams in the south.

² Jehovah builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

⁸ says the Lord Jehovah who gathers the outcasts of Israel, Yet I will gather beside him his gathered ones.

¹⁴ And I will be found by you, says Jehovah; and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says Jehovah. And I will bring you again into the place from where I caused you to be exiled.

¹⁰ Hear the Word of Jehovah, O nations, and declare it in the coastlands afar off. And say, He who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him, as a shepherd keeps his flock.

³⁷ Behold, I will gather them out of all the lands where I have driven them in My anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath. And I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely. ³⁸ And they shall be My people, and I will be their God. ³⁹ And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for their good and for the good of their sons after them. ⁴⁰ And I will cut an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good. But I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me. ⁴¹ Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will truly plant them in this land with all My heart and all My whole soul. ⁴² For so says Jehovah: As I have brought all this great evil on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them. ⁴³ And fields shall be bought in this land of which you say, It is a desert without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. ⁴⁴ Men shall buy fields for silver, and write it in a book, and seal it, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south. For I will cause their captivity to return, says Jehovah.

²² It is by Jehovah's kindnesses that we are not destroyed, because His mercies never fail.

³² for though He causes grief, yet He will have pity according to the multitude of His kindnesses.

¹² As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so I will seek out My sheep and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. ¹³ And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the lands, and will bring them to their own land and feed them on the mountain of Israel by the rivers, and in all the places of the land where people live.

²⁴ For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all lands, and will gather you into your own land.

⁷ So says Jehovah of Hosts: Behold, I will save My people from the east country, and from the land of the setting sun. ⁸ And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And they shall be My people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

²³ And those also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in. For God is able to graft them in again.

²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

³¹ even so these also have not believed now, so that through your mercy they may also obtain mercy.
