²¹ I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not delight in your solemn assemblies.

²¹ And Jehovah smelled a sweet odor. And Jehovah said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. And I will not again smite every living thing as I have done.

³¹ And I will make your cities waste and cause your sanctuaries to be deserted. And I will not smell the savor of your sweet odors.

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is a hateful thing to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

²⁷ The sacrifice of the wicked is hateful to God; how much more when he brings it with a wicked mind?

⁹ He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is a hateful thing.

¹¹ To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me? says Jehovah; I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of he-goats. ¹² When you come to appear before Me, who has required this at your hand, to trample My courts? ¹³ Bring no more vain sacrifice; incense is an abomination to Me; the new moon and sabbath, the going to meeting; I cannot endure evil and the assembly! ¹⁴ Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; they are a trouble to Me; I am weary to bear them. ¹⁵ And when you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood. ¹⁶ Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil;

³ He who kills an ox is is as if he killed a man; he who sacrifices a lamb is as if he broke a dog's neck; he who offers an offering is as if he offered swine's blood; he who burns incense is as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.

²⁰ Why does frankincense come to Me from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not pleasing, nor your sacrifices sweet to Me.

²¹ So says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Put your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat flesh. ²² For I did not speak to your fathers, nor command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. ²³ But I commanded them this thing, saying, Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people; and walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, so that it may be well with you.

¹³ They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of My offerings, and eat it; but Jehovah does not receive them. Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins. They shall return to Egypt.

¹³ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of Heaven against men. For you neither go in, nor do you allow those entering to go in.

² And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given Himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.

¹⁸ But I have all, and abound. I have been filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things which you sent, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable and well-pleasing to God.
