¹⁷ And after many years I came to bring alms and offerings to my nation.

²⁹ And the disciples, as any were prospered, determined each of them to send for ministry to those brothers who lived in Judea, ³⁰ which they also did, sending to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.

¹⁶ For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, so that he might not lose time in Asia; for, if it were possible for him, he hastened to be at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.

³¹ Therefore watch and remember that for the time of three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

²⁶ Then taking the men on the next day, being purified with them, Paul went into the temple, declaring the fulfillment of the days of the purification, until an offering should be offered for each of them.

²⁵ But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. ²⁶ For it has pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints in Jerusalem. ²⁷ Truly it has pleased them, and they are their debtors. For if the nations have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in fleshly things. ²⁸ Therefore when I have completed this, and have sealed this fruit to them, I will come by you into Spain.

³¹ that I may be delivered from those disbelieving in Judea, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted by the saints;

¹ And concerning the collection for the saints, as I charged the churches of Galatia, so also you do. ² On the first of the sabbaths let each of you put by himself, storing up what ever he is prospered, so that there may be no collections when I come. ³ And when I come, whomever you shall approve by your letters, I will send them to bring your gift to Jerusalem. ⁴ And if it is suitable for me to go also, they shall go with me.

¹ And, brothers, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given among the churches of Macedonia; ² that in much testing of trouble, the overflowing of their joy, and the depth of their poverty, abounded to the riches of their generosity. ³ For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability; they gave willingly; ⁴ with much beseeching, begging us that they might receive of us the grace and the fellowship of the ministry to the saints.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor, in order that you might be made rich through His poverty.

¹ For indeed regarding the ministry to the saints, it is not necessary for me to write to you. ² For I know your eagerness, of which I boast to Macedonia on your behalf, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has aroused the greater number.

¹² For the ministry of this service not only supplies the things lacking of the saints, but also multiplying through many thanksgivings to God,

¹⁰ Only they asked that we remember the poor, which very thing I was eager to do.
