¹³ Then Paul answered, What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁸ And Elkanah her husband said to her, Hannah, why do you weep? And why do you not eat? And why is your heart grieved? Am I not better to you than ten sons?

¹⁴ And Samuel said, What then is this bleating of the flock in my ears? And what is the sound of the herd which I hear?

¹⁵ What do you mean? You crush My people and grind the faces of the poor? says the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts.

² What is it to you that you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes and the teeth of the sons are dull?

⁶ And the chief of the seaman came to him and said to him, What is it to you, O sound sleeper? Arise, call upon your God! It may be that our god will notice us, and we will not perish.

⁴¹ Then indeed they departed from the presence of the sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be shamed for His name.

¹⁶ For I will show him what great things he must suffer for My name's sake.

²⁴ But none of these things move me, neither do I count my life dear to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus Christ, to testify fully the gospel of the grace of God.

³⁷ And there was much weeping of all, and falling on the neck of Paul, they ardently kissed him,

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ³⁶ As it is written, "For Your sake we are killed all the day long. We are counted as sheep of slaughter." ³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.

²³ Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as beside myself,) I am more! I have been in labors more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in prisons more, in deaths many times. ²⁴ Five times from the Jews I received forty stripes minus one. ²⁵ Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked. I have spent a night and a day in the deep. ²⁶ I have been in travels often; in dangers from waters; in dangers from robbers; in dangers from my race; in dangers from the heathen; in dangers in the city; in dangers in the wilderness; in dangers on the sea; in dangers among false brothers. ²⁷ I have been in hardship and toil; often in watchings; in hunger and thirst; often in fastings; in cold and nakedness;

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and hope that I shall be ashamed in nothing, but as always now Christ shall be magnified in my body with all boldness, whether it is by life or by death. ²¹ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

¹⁷ Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy and rejoice with you all.

²⁶ For he longed after you all and was full of heaviness, because you had heard that he had been sick.

²⁴ who now rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf, and I fill up the things lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh, on behalf of His body, which is the church;

⁴ greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, so that I may be filled with joy,

⁴ No one who wars tangles with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who chose him to be a soldier. ⁵ And also if anyone competes, he is not crowned unless he competes lawfully. ⁶ It is right for the laboring farmer to partake first of the fruits.

⁶ For I am already being poured out, and the time of my release is here.

¹⁴ knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is soon, as indeed our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me.

¹⁰ Because you have kept the Word of My patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation which will come upon all the habitable world, to try those who dwell upon the earth.

¹¹ And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony. And they did not love their soul until death.
