⁹ And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A certain man of Macedonia stood, begging him, saying, Come over into Macedonia and help us!

¹⁷ "And it shall be in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. ¹⁸ And in those days I will pour out My Spirit upon My slaves and My slave women, and they shall prophesy.

²⁶ And the angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Arise and go toward the south, on the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza, which is a deserted place. ²⁷ And he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasure and had come to Jerusalem to worship, ²⁸ was returning. And sitting in his chariot he read Isaiah the prophet. ²⁹ Then the Spirit said to Philip, Go near and join yourself to this chariot. ³⁰ And Philip ran there to him and heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said, Do you indeed understand what you are reading? ³¹ And he said, How can I unless some man should guide me? And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.

¹⁰ And there was a certain disciple in Damascus named Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Behold me, Lord. ¹¹ And the Lord said to him, Arise and go into the street which is called Straight and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus. For behold, he is praying, ¹² and has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him so that he might receive his sight.

³⁸ And, because Lydda was near Joppa, hearing that Peter is in it, the disciples sent two men to him, begging him not to delay to come to them.

³ About the ninth hour of the day he saw plainly in a vision an angel of God coming to him and saying to him, Cornelius!

¹⁰ And he became very hungry and desired to eat. But while they made ready, an ecstasy fell on him. ¹¹ And he saw the heaven opened and a certain vessel like a sheet coming down to him, being bound at the four corners and let down to the earth; ¹² in which were all the four-footed animals of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the reptiles, and the birds of the heaven. ¹³ And a voice came to him, saying, Rise, Peter! Kill and eat! ¹⁴ But Peter said, Not so, Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. ¹⁵ And the voice spoke to him again the second time, What God has made clean, you do not call common. ¹⁶ This happened three times, and the vessel was received up again into the heaven. ¹⁷ And while Peter doubted within himself what the vision which he had seen might be, even behold, the men who were sent from Cornelius had asked for Simon's house and stood on the porch.

³⁰ And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour. And at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing.

³² Therefore send to Joppa and call here Simon whose last name is Peter, he is staying in the house of Simon, a tanner by the seaside; who, when he comes, shall speak to you. ³³ Therefore I immediately sent to you, and you have done well to come. Now therefore we are all here present before God to hear all things that are commanded you by God.

⁵ I was in the city of Joppa praying. And in an ecstasy I saw a vision, a certain vessel like a sheet coming down, let down from the sky by four corners. And it came even to me. ⁶ When I had fastened my eyes on it, I looked and saw four-footed animals of the earth, and wild beasts, and reptiles, and birds of the heaven. ⁷ And I heard a voice saying to me, Arise, Peter! Kill and eat! ⁸ But I said, Not so, Lord, for nothing common or unclean has at any time entered into my mouth. ⁹ But the voice answered me again from the heaven, What God has made clean, you do not call common. ¹⁰ And this was done three times, and all were drawn up again into the heaven. ¹¹ And behold, immediately three men stood at the house in which I was, sent from Caesarea to me. ¹² And the Spirit told me to go with them, not discriminating. And these six brothers went with me, and we entered the man's house. ¹³ And he declared to us how he had seen an angel in his house, who stood and said to him, Send men to Joppa and call for Simon whose last name is Peter, ¹⁴ who will tell you words by which you and all your house shall be saved.

⁵ And when Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ.

⁹ And the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, Do not be afraid, but speak, and be not silent. ¹⁰ For I am with you, and no one shall set on you to hurt you, for I have many people in this city.

²¹ After these things were ended, passing through Macedonia and Achaia, Paul purposed in the spirit to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have come there, I must also see Rome.

¹ And after the uproar had ceased, calling the disciples and greeting them, Paul left to go into Macedonia.

³ And spending three months there, there being a plot against him by the Jews, being about to sail into Syria, he proposed to return through Macedonia.

¹⁷ And it happened to me, I returning to Jerusalem and praying in the temple, I became in an ecstasy. ¹⁸ And I saw Him say to me, Hurry and go quickly out of Jerusalem, for they will not receive your testimony concerning Me. ¹⁹ And I said, Lord, they know that I was imprisoning and beating those who believed on You throughout the synagogues. ²⁰ And when the blood of Your martyr Stephen was poured out, I also was standing by and consenting to his death, and holding the garments of those who killed him. ²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you far away to the nations.

²³ For tonight an angel of God stood beside me, whose I am and whom I serve, ²⁴ saying, Fear not, Paul! You must stand before Caesar. And behold! God has given you all those who sail with you.

¹⁴ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without preaching? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things!"

²⁶ For it has pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints in Jerusalem.

⁵ For, indeed, coming into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but being troubled in every way, with fightings on the outside, and fears on the inside.

¹ And, brothers, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given among the churches of Macedonia;

² For I know your eagerness, of which I boast to Macedonia on your behalf, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has aroused the greater number.

⁹ And being present with you, and in need, I was not a burden to anyone. For the brothers from Macedonia made up completely my need. And in every way I have kept myself from being burdensome to you, and I will keep myself.

¹ Indeed, it is not profitable for me to boast. For I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. ² I know a man in Christ fourteen years before (whether in the body, I do not know; or outside of the body, I do not know; God knows) such a one was caught up to the third Heaven. ³ And I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I do not know; God knows), ⁴ that he was caught up into Paradise and heard unspeakable words, which it is not allowed for a man to utter.

⁷ and by the surpassing revelations, lest I be made haughty, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be made haughty.

⁷ so that you were examples to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia. ⁸ For from you the Word of the Lord sounded out, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to speak anything.

¹⁰ And indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we beseech you, brothers, that you abound more and more,
