¹ Therefore since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not faint. ² But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the Word of God, but by the revelation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. ³ But also if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those being lost, ⁴ in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (who is the image of God) should not dawn on them. ⁵ For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. ⁶ For it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine;" who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. ⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us; ⁸ in every way having been troubled, but not having been hemmed in; having been perplexed, but not utterly at a loss; ⁹ having been persecuted, but not having been forsaken; having been thrown down, but not having been destroyed; ¹⁰ always bearing about the dying of the Lord Jesus in the body, so that the life of Jesus also might be revealed in our body. ¹¹ For we who live are always being delivered to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus might also be revealed in our body. ¹² So then death works in us, but life in you. ¹³ For we, having the same spirit of faith (according as it is written, "I believed, and therefore I have spoken"); we also believed and therefore speak, ¹⁴ knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus shall also raise us up by Jesus, and shall present us with you. ¹⁵ For all things are for your sake, so that the superabounding grace might be made to abound through the thanksgiving of the greater number, to the glory of God. ¹⁶ For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. ¹⁷ For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us a far more excellent eternal weight of glory, ¹⁸ we not considering the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are not lasting, but the things which are not seen are everlasting.

⁵ And Jehovah came down in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of Jehovah. ⁶ And Jehovah passed by before him and proclaimed, Jehovah! Jehovah God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, ⁷ keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the sons, and on the sons of sons, to the third and to the fourth generation.

For into his hand God has delivered Midian and all the army.

¹⁶ And he divided the three hundred men into three companies. And he put a ram's horn in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and torches inside the pitchers. ¹⁷ And he said to them, Look on me, and do likewise. And, behold, when I come to the edge of the camp, it shall be, as I do, so you shall do. ¹⁸ When I blow with a ram's horn, I and all who are with me, then you blow the ram's horns also on every side of all the camp, and shout, For Jehovah and for Gideon! ¹⁹ So Gideon and the hundred men with him came to the edge of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch. And they had but newly set the watch. And they blew the ram's horns and broke the pitchers that were in their hands. ²⁰ And the three companies blew the ram's horns and broke the pitchers and held the torches in their left hands and the ram's horns in their right hands to blow. And they cried, A sword for Jehovah and for Gideon!

⁴ And Saul said to his armor-bearer, Draw your sword and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised ones come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armor-bearer would not, for he was very much afraid. So Saul took a sword and fell on it.

²² And Jehovah said to him, With what? And he said, I will go forth and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And He said, You shall entice him and succeed also. Go forth and do so.

⁹ And his wife said to him, Do you still hold to your integrity? Curse God and die! ¹⁰ But he said to her, You speak as one of the foolish ones speak. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

¹⁰ And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.

⁵ Why are you cast down, O my soul, and moan within me? Hope in God; for I shall praise Him for the salvation of His face.

² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; nor shall the flame kindle on you.

⁸ But you must not be called Rabbi, for One is your teacher, Christ, and you are all brothers.

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.

²³ Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. For behold, your reward is great in Heaven. For so their fathers did according to these things to the prophets.

¹⁰ For truly they chastened us for a few days according to their own pleasure, but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness. ¹¹ Now chastening for the present does not seem to be joyous, but grievous. Nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who are exercised by it.

⁵ Let your way of life be without the love of money, and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, "Not at all will I leave you, not at all will I forsake you, never!"

⁸ And when He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having harps and golden vials full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. ⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for You were slain and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation. ¹⁰ And You made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign over the earth. ¹¹ And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and the living creatures and the elders. And the number of them was myriads and myriads, and thousands of thousands, ¹² saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing. ¹³ And I heard every creature which is in the Heaven and on the earth, and under the earth, and those that are in the sea, and all who are in them, saying, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever. ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped the One living forever and ever.

Hallelujah! ⁵ And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all His servants, and the ones fearing Him, the small and great. ⁶ And I heard as the sound of a great multitude, and as the sound of many waters, and as the sound of strong thunders, saying, Hallelujah! For the Lord God omnipotent reigns!

² And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. ³ And he cast him into the abyss and shut him up and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after that he must be loosed a little time.
