2 Corinthians 4 Cross References - MKJV

1 Therefore since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not faint. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the Word of God, but by the revelation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 But also if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those being lost, 4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (who is the image of God) should not dawn on them. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine;" who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us; 8 in every way having been troubled, but not having been hemmed in; having been perplexed, but not utterly at a loss; 9 having been persecuted, but not having been forsaken; having been thrown down, but not having been destroyed; 10 always bearing about the dying of the Lord Jesus in the body, so that the life of Jesus also might be revealed in our body. 11 For we who live are always being delivered to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus might also be revealed in our body. 12 So then death works in us, but life in you. 13 For we, having the same spirit of faith (according as it is written, "I believed, and therefore I have spoken"); we also believed and therefore speak, 14 knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus shall also raise us up by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sake, so that the superabounding grace might be made to abound through the thanksgiving of the greater number, to the glory of God. 16 For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us a far more excellent eternal weight of glory, 18 we not considering the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are not lasting, but the things which are not seen are everlasting.

For there no man can see Me and live. 21 And Jehovah said, Behold! There is a place by Me, and you shall stand upon a rock. 22 And it will be, while My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. 23 And I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back parts. 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you, or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 lest any should say that I had baptized in my own name.

1 Corinthians 1:18

18 For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:23

23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness.

1 Corinthians 1:28

28 and God has chosen the base things of the world, and things which are despised, and things which are not, in order to bring to nothing things that are;

1 Corinthians 2:2

2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 2:9

9 But as it is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard," nor has it entered into the heart of man, "the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

1 Corinthians 3:5-6

5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom you believed, even as the Lord gave to each? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

1 Corinthians 3:21-23

21 Therefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours, 22 whether it is Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours, 23 and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.

1 Corinthians 4:5

5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall each one have praise of God.

1 Corinthians 4:9-13

9 For I think that God has set forth us last, the apostles, as it were appointed to death; for we have become a spectacle to the world and to angels and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honorable, but we are despised.

1 Corinthians 4:10

10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honorable, but we are despised. 11 Even until this present hour we both hunger and thirst and are naked and are buffeted and have no certain dwelling place. 12 And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it; 13 being defamed, we entreat. We are made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

1 Corinthians 6:14

14 And God has both raised up the Lord, and also will raise us up by His own power.

1 Corinthians 7:25

25 But concerning virgins, I have no commandment from the Lord. Yet I give my judgment, as one who has obtained mercy from the Lord to be faithful.

1 Corinthians 8:6

6 but there is to us only one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we by Him.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23

19 For though I am free from all, yet I have made myself servant to all, so that I might gain the more. 20 And to the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might gain the Jews. To those who are under the Law, I became as under the Law, so that I might gain those who are under the Law. 21 To those who are outside Law, I became as outside Law (not being outside law to God, but under the Law to Christ), so that I might gain those who are outside Law. 22 To the weak I became as the weak, so that I might gain the weak. I am made all things to all men, so that I might by all means save some. 23 And this I do for the sake of the gospel, so that I might be partaker of it with you.

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 No temptation has taken you but what is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:20

20 But I say that the things which the nations sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. And I do not desire that you should have fellowship with demons.

1 Corinthians 10:33

33 even as I please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, so that they may be saved.

1 Corinthians 12:3

3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says Jesus is a curse, and that no one can say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:9

9 and to another faith by the same Spirit; and to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

1 Corinthians 15:20-22

20 But now Christ has risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruit of those who slept. 21 For since death is through man, the resurrection of the dead also is through a Man. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive.

1 Corinthians 15:31

31 Day by day I die, by your rejoicing, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:47

47 The first man was out of earth, earthy; the second Man was the Lord from Heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:49

49 And according as we bore the image of the earthy man, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

1 Corinthians 15:53-54

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and when this mortal shall put on immortality, then will take place the word that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory.

1 Corinthians 15:58

58 So that, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.

2 Corinthians 1:4-6

4 He comforting us in all our trouble, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in every trouble, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds by Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:5-6

5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds by Christ. 6 And if we are troubled, it is for your consolation and salvation, being worked out in the endurance of the same sufferings which we also suffer; if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

2 Corinthians 1:8-10

8 For, brothers, we would not have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength; so much so that we despaired even of life. 9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, so that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead;

2 Corinthians 1:9

9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, so that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; 10 who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; in whom we trust that He will yet deliver us, 11 with you also helping together by prayer for us, so that the gracious gift by many persons be the cause of thanksgiving through many for us. 12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity; not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God; we have had our conduct in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

2 Corinthians 1:19

19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us; by me and Silas and Timothy; was not yes and no, but in Him was, yes!

2 Corinthians 1:24

24 Not that we have dominion over your faith, but we are helpers of your joy; for by faith you stand.

2 Corinthians 2:12

12 And, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened to me by the Lord,

2 Corinthians 2:15-16

15 For we are to God a sweet savor of Christ, in those being saved, and in those being lost; 16 to the one we are the savor of death to death, and to the other we are the savor of life to life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not as many, hawking the Word of God; but as of sincerity, but as of God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6

5 not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God; 6 who also has made us able ministers of the new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit makes alive.

2 Corinthians 3:6-6

6 who also has made us able ministers of the new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit makes alive.

2 Corinthians 3:8-9

8 shall not the ministry of the Spirit be with more glory? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation is glorious, much more does the ministry of righteousness exceed in glory.

2 Corinthians 3:11

11 For if that which has been done away was glorious, much more that which remains is glorious. 12 Then since we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech.

2 Corinthians 3:14

14 (But their thoughts were blinded; for until the present the same veil remains on the reading of the old covenant, not taken away.) But this veil has been done away in Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:18

18 But we all, with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord Spirit.

2 Corinthians 4:1

1 Therefore since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not faint.

2 Corinthians 4:4

4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (who is the image of God) should not dawn on them.

2 Corinthians 4:6

6 For it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine;" who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:16

16 For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

2 Corinthians 4:16-17

16 For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us a far more excellent eternal weight of glory,

2 Corinthians 5:1

1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2 Corinthians 5:1-4

1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For indeed in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our dwelling-place out of Heaven; 3 if indeed in being clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tabernacle groan, being burdened; inasmuch as we do not wish to be unclothed, but to be clothed, so that the mortal might be swallowed up by the life.

2 Corinthians 5:4-4

4 For we who are in this tabernacle groan, being burdened; inasmuch as we do not wish to be unclothed, but to be clothed, so that the mortal might be swallowed up by the life.

2 Corinthians 5:7

7 for we walk by faith, not by sight;

2 Corinthians 5:11

11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men. But we are revealed to God, and I trust also that we are revealed in your consciences.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15

14 For the love of Christ constrains us, judging this, that if one died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that the living ones may live no more to themselves, but to Him who died for them and having been raised.

2 Corinthians 5:18

18 And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

2 Corinthians 6:4-7

4 but in everything commending ourselves as God's servants, in much patience, in troubles, in emergencies, in distresses,

2 Corinthians 6:4

4 but in everything commending ourselves as God's servants, in much patience, in troubles, in emergencies, in distresses, 5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in watchings, in fastings; 6 in pureness, in knowledge, in long-suffering, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in love unfeigned, 7 in the Word of Truth, in the power of God, through the weapons of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

2 Corinthians 6:10

10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 7:5

5 For, indeed, coming into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but being troubled in every way, with fightings on the outside, and fears on the inside. 6 But He who comforts the lowly comforted us by the coming of Titus.

2 Corinthians 7:14

14 For if I have boasted anything about you to him, I was not ashamed. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting as to Titus became truth.

2 Corinthians 8:19

19 and not only so, but also he having been chosen by the churches to travel with us with this gift, which is administered by us to the glory of the Lord Himself, and as a witness of your eager mind;

2 Corinthians 9:11-12

11 you being enriched in everything to all generosity, which works out thanksgiving to God through us. 12 For the ministry of this service not only supplies the things lacking of the saints, but also multiplying through many thanksgivings to God,

2 Corinthians 10:10

10 For indeed they say, the letters are weighty and powerful, but the bodily presence is weak, and his speech is contemptible.

2 Corinthians 11:2

2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy. For I have espoused you to one Man, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve in his craftiness, so your thoughts should be corrupted from the simplicity due to Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:6

6 But even if I am unskilled in speech, yet not in knowledge; but in every way I have been clearly revealed to you in all things.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

13 For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 Did not even Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light? 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Corinthians 11:23-30

23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as beside myself,) I am more! I have been in labors more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in prisons more, in deaths many times.

2 Corinthians 11:23-28

23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as beside myself,) I am more! I have been in labors more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in prisons more, in deaths many times. 24 Five times from the Jews I received forty stripes minus one.

2 Corinthians 11:24-28

24 Five times from the Jews I received forty stripes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked. I have spent a night and a day in the deep.

2 Corinthians 11:25-28

25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked. I have spent a night and a day in the deep. 26 I have been in travels often; in dangers from waters; in dangers from robbers; in dangers from my race; in dangers from the heathen; in dangers in the city; in dangers in the wilderness; in dangers on the sea; in dangers among false brothers.

2 Corinthians 11:26-28

26 I have been in travels often; in dangers from waters; in dangers from robbers; in dangers from my race; in dangers from the heathen; in dangers in the city; in dangers in the wilderness; in dangers on the sea; in dangers among false brothers. 27 I have been in hardship and toil; often in watchings; in hunger and thirst; often in fastings; in cold and nakedness;

2 Corinthians 11:27-28

27 I have been in hardship and toil; often in watchings; in hunger and thirst; often in fastings; in cold and nakedness; 28 besides the things outside conspiring against me daily, the care of all the churches.

2 Corinthians 11:28-28

28 besides the things outside conspiring against me daily, the care of all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is caused to stumble, and I do not burn? 30 If it is right to boast, I will boast of the things of my weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:7-9

7 and by the surpassing revelations, lest I be made haughty, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be made haughty. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord three times, that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me. 10 Therefore I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am powerful.

2 Corinthians 12:15

15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls, even if loving you more and more, I am loved the less.

2 Corinthians 13:4

4 for even if He was crucified out of weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For indeed even we are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you),

2 Corinthians 13:9

9 For we are glad when we are weak, and you are powerful. But we pray also for this, your perfection.

Galatians 1:24

24 And they glorified God in me.

Galatians 4:13-14

13 But you know that through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel to you before, 14 and you did not despise my temptation in my flesh, nor did you spurn it. But you received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus.

Galatians 5:13

13 For, brothers, you were called to liberty. Only do not use the liberty for an opening to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Galatians 6:9

9 But we should not lose heart in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint.

Galatians 6:17

17 For the rest, let no one give troubles to me, for I bear in my body the brands of the Lord Jesus.

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

Ephesians 1:19-20

19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength 20 which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead, and He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,

Ephesians 2:2

2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience;

5 (even when we were dead in sins) has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved),

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Ephesians 3:7-8

7 Of this gospel I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effectual working of His power. 8 This grace is given to me (who am less than the least of all saints) to preach the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations,

Ephesians 3:8

8 This grace is given to me (who am less than the least of all saints) to preach the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations,

Ephesians 3:13

13 For this reason I desire that you faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Ephesians 3:16

16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;

Ephesians 4:14

14 so that we no longer may be infants, tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine, in the dishonesty of men, in cunning craftiness, to the wiles of deceit.

23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.

Ephesians 5:27

27 that He might present it to Himself as the glorious church, without spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Ephesians 6:12

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Philippians 1:15

15 Some indeed even preach Christ because of envy and strife, and some also of good will.

Philippians 1:19

11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:17

17 Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy and rejoice with you all.

30 because for the work of Christ he was near death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish, and without charge in His sight,

1 Thessalonians 1:5

5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

1 Thessalonians 2:3-5

3 For our exhortation to you was not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile, 4 but as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, who tries our hearts. 5 For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor with pretense of covetousness; God is witness.

1 Thessalonians 2:5-6

5 For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor with pretense of covetousness; God is witness. 6 Nor did we seek glory from men, neither from you nor from others, being able to be so with heaviness, as apostles of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4:14

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.

9 whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,

2 Thessalonians 2:16

11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

3 who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, through Himself cleansing of our sins, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high,

Hebrews 11:1-40

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 By faith we understand that the ages were framed by a word of God, so that the things being seen not to have come into being out of the things that appear. 4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts. And by it he, being dead, yet speaks. 5 By faith Enoch was translated so as not to see death, and he was not found, because God had translated him; for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 7 By faith Noah, having been warned by God of things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. 8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out into a place which he was afterward going to receive for an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he went. 9 By faith he lived in the land of promise as a stranger, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs of the same promise with him. 10 For he looked for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 By faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged Him who had promised to be faithful. 12 Because of this came into being from one, and that of one having died, even as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. 13 These all died by way of faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off. And they were persuaded of them and embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Hebrews 11:13

13 These all died by way of faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off. And they were persuaded of them and embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they who say such things declare plainly that they seek a fatherland. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from which they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they stretch forth to a better fatherland, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. 17 By faith Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. And he who had received the promises offered up his only-begotten son, 18 of whom it was said that in Isaac your Seed shall be called, 19 concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from where he even received him, in a figure. 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. 21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph and worshiped, leaning upon the top of his staff. 22 By faith, Joseph dying remembered concerning the Exodus of the sons of Israel and gave orders concerning his bones. 23 By faith Moses, having been born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child. And they were not afraid of the king's commandments. 24 Having become great, Moses by faith refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, 25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time,

Hebrews 11:25-27

25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time, 26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he was looking to the reward.

Hebrews 11:26-27

26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he was looking to the reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king, for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.

Hebrews 11:27-27

27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king, for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible. 28 Through faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest He who destroyed the first-born should touch them. 29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, which the Egyptians attempting to do were drowned. 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they had been compassed seven days. 31 By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. 32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah; also David, and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the strangers. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again, and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. 36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings; yes, more, of bonds and imprisonments. 37 They were stoned, they were sawed in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented. 38 The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains and dens and caves of the earth. 39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, did not receive the promise, 40 for God had provided some better thing for us, that they should not be made perfect without us.

Hebrews 12:2-3

2 looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God. 3 For consider Him who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest you be weary and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:3-3

3 For consider Him who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest you be weary and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:10-11

10 For truly they chastened us for a few days according to their own pleasure, but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now chastening for the present does not seem to be joyous, but grievous. Nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who are exercised by it.

Hebrews 13:5

5 Let your way of life be without the love of money, and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, "Not at all will I leave you, not at all will I forsake you, never!"

Hebrews 13:15-16

15 By Him, then, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, confessing His name. 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

James 1:2-4

2 My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into different kinds of temptations, 3 knowing that the trying of your faith works patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing.

James 1:12

12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because having been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

1 Peter 1:6-7

6 in which you greatly rejoice, yet a little while, if need be, grieving in manifold temptations;

1 Peter 1:6-8

6 in which you greatly rejoice, yet a little while, if need be, grieving in manifold temptations; 7 so that the trial of your faith (being much more precious than that of gold that perishes, but being proven through fire) might be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

1 Peter 1:7-8

7 so that the trial of your faith (being much more precious than that of gold that perishes, but being proven through fire) might be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen, you love; in whom not yet seeing, but believing in Him you exult with unspeakable joy, and having been glorified,

1 Peter 1:12

12 To them it was revealed that not to themselves, but to us, they ministered the things which are now reported to you by those who have preached the gospel to you in the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

1 Peter 2:9

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for possession, so that you might speak of the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 you who then were not a people, but now the people of God, those not pitied then, but now pitied.

1 Peter 3:4

4 but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, the meek and quiet spirit, which is of great price in the sight of God.

1 Peter 4:7

7 But the end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be of sound mind, and be sensible to prayers.

1 Peter 4:11

11 If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as of the ability which God gives, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory, and the might forever and ever. Amen. 12 Beloved, do not be astonished at the fiery trial which is to try you, as though a strange thing happened to you, 13 but rejoice according as you are partakers of Christ's suffering, so that when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1 Peter 4:13

13 but rejoice according as you are partakers of Christ's suffering, so that when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you. Truly according to them, He is blasphemed, but according to you He is glorified.

1 Peter 5:2-5

2 Feed the flock of God among you, taking the oversight, not by compulsion, but willingly; nor for base gain, but readily; 3 nor as lording it over those allotted to you by God, but becoming examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory. 5 Likewise, younger ones, be subject to older ones, and all being subject to one another. Put on humility. For God resists proud ones, but He gives grace to the humble.

1 Peter 5:10

10 But the God of all grace, He calling us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, He will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

1 John 2:16-17

16 because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever.

And they had no rest day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God, the Almighty, who was and is and is to come. 9 And whenever the living creatures gave glory and honor and thanks to Him who sat on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fell down before the One sitting on the throne. And they worshiped Him who lives for ever and ever, and threw their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 O Lord, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, because You created all things, and for Your will they are and were created.

And the number of them was myriads and myriads, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing. 13 And I heard every creature which is in the Heaven and on the earth, and under the earth, and those that are in the sea, and all who are in them, saying, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever. 14 And the four living creatures said, Amen. For the Lord God omnipotent reigns!
