¹⁰ And Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, and she arose and spoke to destroy all the royal seed of the house of Judah. ¹¹ But Jehoshabeath the daughter of the king took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons who were killed. And she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. And Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah) hid him from Athaliah so that she did not kill him.

¹⁶ And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people and between the king, that they should be Jehovah's people.

¹⁰ And it is in my heart to make a covenant with Jehovah, the God of Israel, that His fierce wrath may turn away from us.

²⁵ And he set the Levites in the house of Jehovah with cymbals, with harps, and with lyres, according to the command of David, and of Gad the king's seer and Nathan the prophet. For the commandment was by the hand of Jehovah by His prophets.

And the carved images and the molten images he also broke in pieces and made dust from them, and scattered on the graves of the ones who had sacrificed to them.

³ And now let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the women, and such as have been born of them, according to the counsel of the Lord, and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God. And let it be done according to the Law.

²⁸ The priests repaired from above the Horse Gate, every one across from his house.

Then I called the priests and took an oath from them that they should do according to this promise. ¹³ Also I shook my lap and said, So let God shake out every man from his house, and from his labor, who does not keep this promise, even may he be shaken out this way and emptied. And all the congregation said, amen, and praised Jehovah. And the people did according to this promise.

³⁸ And because of all this we are cutting a sure covenant, and write it, and our princes, Levites, and priests are sealing it.

And they entered into a curse and into an oath, to walk in God's Law which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to be careful to do all the commandments of Jehovah our Lord, and His judgments and His statutes. ³⁰ And we swore that we would not give our daughters to the people of the land nor take their daughters for our sons. ³¹ And if the people of the land should bring goods or any food on the Sabbath day to sell it, that we would not buy it from them on the Sabbath or on the holy day, and that we would leave the seventh year, and the interest of every debt. ³² Also we put commands upon ourselves, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God, ³³ for the showbread, and for the continual meal offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. ³⁴ And we cast the lots among the priests, and the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring into the house of our God, according to the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of Jehovah our God, as it is written in the Law ³⁵ and to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, to the house of Jehovah; ³⁶ and to bring the first-born of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the Law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God; ³⁷ and that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all kinds of trees, of wine and of oil, to the priests, to the rooms of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground to the Levites, and they, the Levites, might have the tithes in all the cities we farmed. ³⁸ And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes, and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the rooms, into the treasure house. ³⁹ For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine, and the oil, to the rooms where the vessels of the sanctuary are, and the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. And we will not forsake the house of our God.

¹⁰ And now be wise, O kings; be instructed, O judges of the earth. ¹¹ Serve Jehovah with fear, and rejoice with trembling. ¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled in but a little time. Blessed are all who put their trust in Him.

⁶ You shall destroy those who speak lies; Jehovah will despise the bloody and deceitful man.

⁵ There they were in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous.

³ For You go before him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold on his head.

²³ But You, O God, will bring them down into the pit of ruin; bloody and deceitful men shall not live half their days; but I will trust in You.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. ¹¹ And man shall say, Truly, there is a reward for the righteous; truly, there is a God judging in the earth.

⁵ For He set up a testimony in Jacob, and ordered a Law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should teach them to their sons;

²⁰ I have found David, My servant; with My holy oil I have anointed him.

²⁹ Also I have set his seed forever, and his throne as the days of the heavens.

³⁶ His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me.

³⁹ You have turned away from the covenant of Your servant; You have defiled his crown to the ground.

⁵ A good man shows favor, and lends; he will guide his business with fairness.

¹⁸ I will clothe his enemies with shame; but his crown shall shine on him.

¹⁰ When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; and when the wicked are destroyed, there is singing.

² When the righteous increase, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.

¹² For man also does not know his time; as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.

¹⁸ And the idols shall completely vanish.

⁴⁰ And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields to the torrent of Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to Jehovah. It shall not be plucked up nor thrown down any more forever.

⁷ And He said to them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out! And they went out and killed in the city.

² And Jehovah said to me, This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it. Because Jehovah, the God of Israel, has entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut. ³ It is for the ruler; the ruler shall sit in it to eat bread before Jehovah. He shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the same way.

² And the ruler shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate outside, and shall stand by the gatepost. And the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate. And he shall go out, but the gate shall not be shut until the evening. ³ And the people of the land shall worship at the door of that gate before Jehovah on the sabbaths and in the new moons.

² And it shall be in that day, says Jehovah of Hosts, I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall be remembered no more. And also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. ³ And it shall be when any shall yet prophesy, his father and his mother who gave birth to him shall say to him then, You shall not live; for you speak lies in the name of Jehovah. And his father and his mother who gave him birth shall thrust him through when he prophesies.

² For with whatever judgment you judge, you shall be judged; and with whatever measure you measure out, it shall be measured to you again.

¹⁶ Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.

⁹ And the crowds who went before, and those who followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!

⁸ And it happened in his serving in the order of his course, before God, ⁹ according to the custom of the priests, it was his lot to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

² And a certain man, who was lame from his mother's womb, was being carried. And they laid him daily at that temple gate which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered into the temple.

²⁶ The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ." ²⁷ For truly, against Your holy child Jesus, whom You have anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations, and the people of Israel, were gathered together

¹ Therefore you are without excuse, O man, everyone who judges; for in that in which you judge another, you condemn yourself, for you who judge do the same things. ² But know that the judgment of God is according to truth on those who practice such things.

¹⁵ See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, that He by the grace of God should taste death for all.

¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because having been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those who love Him?

¹³ For he who has shown no mercy shall have judgment without mercy, and mercy exults over judgment.

⁴ And around the throne I saw twenty-four thrones. And on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white clothing. And they had crowns of gold on their heads.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fell down before the One sitting on the throne. And they worshiped Him who lives for ever and ever, and threw their crowns before the throne, saying,

¹⁰ And You made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign over the earth.

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters say, Righteous is the Lord, who is, and was, and who will be, because You have judged these things, ⁶ since they have poured out the blood of the saints and prophets; and You gave them blood to drink, for they were deserving. ⁷ And I heard another out of the altar saying, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.

²⁰ Rejoice over her, Heaven, and the holy apostles, and the prophets, since God judged your judgment on her.

¹ And after these things I heard a great sound of a numerous crowd in Heaven, saying, Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and honor and the power to the Lord our God! ² For true and righteous are His judgments. For He has judged the great harlot who defiled the earth with her fornication, and He has avenged the blood of His servants out of her hand. ³ And secondly they said, Hallelujah! And her smoke rose up forever and ever. ⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God sitting on the throne, saying, Amen! Hallelujah!

¹² And His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head many crowns. And He had a name written, one that no one knew except Himself.
