⁴ And the men of David said to him, Behold, this is the day of which Jehovah said to you, Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hand so that you may do to him as it shall seem good to you. And David arose and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe secretly.

⁶ And he said to his men, Far be it from me, by Jehovah, if I will do this thing to my lord, Jehovah's anointed, to stretch forth my hand against him, since he is the anointed of Jehovah.

³³ And the king mourned over Abner and said, Did Abner die like a fool dies? ³⁴ Your hands were not bound, nor your feet put into fetters; as a man falls before wicked men, so you fell. And all the people wept again over him. ³⁵ And all the people came to cause David to eat food while it was still day; David swore, saying, So let God do to me, and more also, if I taste bread or anything else until the sun is down. ³⁶ And all the people took notice, and it pleased them, as whatever the king did pleased all the people. ³⁷ For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to kill Abner the son of Ner. ³⁸ And the king said to his servants, Do you not know that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?

¹ O God of vengeance, Jehovah, the God of vengeance, shine forth! ² Lift up Yourself, Judge of the earth; give a just repayment to the proud.

²³ And He will bring on them their own iniquity, and He will cut them off in their evil. Jehovah our God shall cut them off.

²⁰ to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free the sons of death;

¹⁵ saying, Touch not my anointed, and do My prophets no harm.

¹⁵ Precious in the sight of Jehovah is the death of His saints.

¹⁶ These six Jehovah hates; yea, seven are hateful to his soul: ¹⁷ a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, ¹⁸ a heart that plots wicked plans, feet hurrying to run to evil, ¹⁹ a false witness who speaks lies, and he who causes fighting among brothers.

²⁵ When he makes his voice gracious, do not believe him; for seven hateful things are in his heart.

⁵ Then you shall fear and become bright, and your heart shall throb and swell for joy; because the abundance of the sea shall turn to you, the wealth of the nations will come to you.

⁴ Yes, he wept and cried to Him, and he had power over the Angel and overcame. He found him in Bethel, and there He spoke with us,

⁹ What are you plotting against Jehovah? He will make an utter end; affliction shall not rise up the second time.

⁷ Blessed are the merciful! For they shall obtain mercy.

² For with whatever judgment you judge, you shall be judged; and with whatever measure you measure out, it shall be measured to you again.

¹⁶ Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.

⁴⁷ And as He was yet speaking, behold, Judas came, one of the Twelve. And with him came a great crowd with swords and clubs, being sent from the chief priests and elders of the people.

⁵⁵ In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, Have you come out in order to take Me with swords and clubs, as against a thief? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not lay hands on Me.

⁴ saying, I have sinned, betraying innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? You see to that.

⁷ And shall not God avenge His own elect who cry day and night to Him, though He has been long-suffering over them?

⁴⁶ Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do you not believe Me?

³² Jesus answered them, I have shown you many good works from My Father; for which of these do you stone Me?

²³ Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why do you strike Me?

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, calling on them to continue in the faith and that through much tribulation we must enter into the kingdom of God.

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.

³² For God has shut up all in unbelief, so that He might show mercy to all.

¹⁹ not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord."

¹⁵ But if your brother is grieved with your food, you no longer walk according to love. Do not with your food destroy him for whom Christ died.

⁹ But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, so that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; ¹⁰ who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; in whom we trust that He will yet deliver us,

⁸ But even if we or an angel from Heaven preach a gospel to you beside what we preached to you, let him be accursed. ⁹ As we said before, and now I say again, If anyone preaches a gospel to you beside what you have received, let him be accursed.

²² But the Scripture shut up all under sin, so that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. ²³ But before faith came, we were kept under Law, having been shut up to the faith about to be revealed.

¹² I wish that those causing you to doubt will cut themselves off.

¹⁴ Alexander the coppersmith showed many evil things to me. The Lord will give back to him according to his works.

²⁷ And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment,

⁸ Therefore her plagues will come in one day, death and mourning and famine. And she will be consumed with fire, for the Lord God who judges her is strong.
