²⁰ And all the people who were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who were not of the sons of Israel,

¹⁹ the Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, ²⁰ and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the giants, ²¹ and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

²³ For My Angel shall go before you and bring you in to the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. And I will cut them off.

²⁸ And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite before you. ²⁹ I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become a waste, and the beast of the field multiply against you. ³⁰ By little and little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and inherit the land. ³¹ And I will stretch your bounds from the Red Sea even to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river. For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you. ³² You shall make no covenant with them or with their gods. ³³ They shall not dwell in your land lest they make you sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it surely will be a snare to you.

¹¹ Observe that which I command you this day. Behold! I drive out before you the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite. ¹² Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the people of the land where you go, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you.

¹ When Jehovah your God shall bring you into the land where you go to possess it, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, ² and Jehovah your God shall deliver them before you, you shall crush them, completely destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. ³ Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to his son, nor shall you take his daughter to your son.

⁷ All the people who were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel, ⁸ of their sons who were left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel did not destroy, Solomon made them subject to forced labor until this day. ⁹ And of the sons of Israel, Solomon did not make any servants for his work. But they were men of war, and commanders of his officers, and commanders of his chariots, and his horsemen. ¹⁰ And these were the chief of King Solomon's officers, two hundred and fifty who bore rule over the people. ¹¹ And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David to the house which he had built for her. For he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places into which the ark of Jehovah has come are holy. ¹² And Solomon offered burnt offerings to Jehovah on the altar of Jehovah which he had built before the porch, ¹³ even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and in the Feast of Weeks, and in the Feast of Tabernacles. ¹⁴ And according to the order of David his father, he appointed the divisions of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required; and the gatekeepers by their divisions at every gate; for so David the man of God had commanded. ¹⁵ And they did not depart from the command of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures. ¹⁶ And all the work of Solomon was prepared until the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah, and until it was finished. And the house of Jehovah was complete. ¹⁷ And Solomon went to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, at the seaside in the land of Edom. ¹⁸ And Hiram sent ships to him by the hand of his servants, and servants who knew the sea. And they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took four hundred and fifty talents of gold from there, and brought them to King Solomon.
