⁶ But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, what will I profit you, except I speak to you either in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophecy, or in teaching?

²¹ And do not turn aside to go after vanities, which cannot profit nor deliver. For they are vain.

¹⁹ O Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations shall come to You from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and there is no profit in them.

³² Jehovah says, Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams and tell them, and cause My people to go astray by their lies and by their lightness. Yet I did not send them nor command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all, says Jehovah.

²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank You, O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the sophisticated and cunning, and revealed them to babes.

¹⁷ Jesus answered and said to him, You are blessed, Simon, son of Jonah, for flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but My Father in Heaven.

²⁶ For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

⁴² And they were continuing steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine, and in fellowship and in the breaking of the loaves, and in prayers.

¹⁷ But thanks be to our God that you were the slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

¹⁴ And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brothers, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

¹⁷ And I exhort you, brothers, to watch those making divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned, and avoid them.

³³ even as I please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, so that they may be saved.

⁷ But to each one is given the showing forth of the Spirit to our profit. ⁸ For through the Spirit is given to one a word of wisdom; and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;

² And though I have prophecies, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so as to move mountains, and do not have charity, I am nothing. ³ And though I give out all my goods to feed the poor, and though I deliver my body to be burned, and have not charity, I am profited nothing.

⁸ Charity never fails. But if there are prophecies, they will be abolished; if tongues, they shall cease; if knowledge, it will be abolished. ⁹ For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

¹ Follow after charity and desire spiritual things, but rather that you may prophesy.

²⁶ Then how is it, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be for building up. ²⁷ If one speaks in a language, let it be by two, or at the most three, and in succession. And let one interpret. ²⁸ But if there is no interpreter, let him be silent in a church; and let him speak to himself and to God. ²⁹ And if there are two or three prophets, let them speak, and let the others judge. ³⁰ If a revelation is revealed to another sitting by, let the first be silent.

⁶ But even if I am unskilled in speech, yet not in knowledge; but in every way I have been clearly revealed to you in all things.

¹ Indeed, it is not profitable for me to boast. For I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

⁷ and by the surpassing revelations, lest I be made haughty, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be made haughty.

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

⁴ by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

¹⁵ Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be of this mind. And if in anything you are otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this to you.

¹⁴ Put them in memory of these things, charging them before the Lord not to dispute about words to no profit, to the subverting of the hearers.

¹⁰ But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love, patience,

¹⁶ All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

² preach the Word, be instant in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.

⁸ Faithful is the Word, and as to these things, I desire that you strongly affirm that those believing God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

⁹ Do not be carried about with different and strange doctrines, for it is good for the heart to be established with grace, not with foods, in which those who have walked in them were not helped.

⁵ But also in this very thing, bringing in all diligence, filling out your faith with virtue, and with virtue, knowledge;

¹⁸ But grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

⁹ Everyone transgressing and not abiding in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.
