³ And another angel came, and stood before the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense, that he might present it with the prayers of all the saints, upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

¹⁰ And while the incense was burning, the whole congregation were praying without.

³⁰ And when forty years were fulfilled, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire, in a bush, in the wilderness of Mount Sinai. ³¹ And Moses seeing it, admired the vision: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came to him, saying, ³² "I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses trembled, and did not dare to behold it.

³⁴ Who is he, who condemns them? It is Christ, who died; or rather, who has risen: who also, is at the right hand of God; and who makes intercession for us?

¹⁵ For we have not a High Priest who can not sympathize with our weaknesses; but one who was tried in all points, according to the likeness of his nature to our ours, without sin. ¹⁶ Let us, therefore, approach, with boldness, to the throne of favor, that we may receive mercy, and obtain favor for the purpose of seasonable help.

²⁵ Hence, also, he is for able to save them who come to God through him; always living to make intercession for them.

⁴ having the golden censer, and the ark of the institution, covered everywhere with gold, in which were the golden pot having the manna, and the rod of Aaron, which budded, and the tables of the institution;

¹⁹ Having, therefore, brethren, free access to the most holy place, by the blood of Jesus- ²⁰ a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us through the vail, (that is, his flesh,) ²¹ and-a great High Priest over the house of God, ²² let us draw near, with a true heart, in full assurance of faith-having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water,

¹ My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. Yet if any one has sinned, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Just One. ² And he is a propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

⁸ And when he received the scroll, the four living creatures, and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one harps, and golden vials full of perfumes, which are the prayers of the saints.

⁹ And when he opened the fifth sea, I saw, under the altar, the souls of those who were slaughtered on account of the word of God, and the testimony which they held.

² And I saw another angel ascending from the rising sun, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a great voice to the four angels to whom power was given to injure the earth, and the sea;

⁴ And the smoke of the perfumes went up, with the prayers of the saints, from the hand of the angel, before God.

¹³ And the sixth angel sounded; and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which was before God,

¹ And I saw another mighty angel descending from heaven, clothed with a cloud; and a rainbow was about his head, and his face was as the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.
