²⁷ Then beginning with Moses, and proceeding through all the prophets, he explained to them all the passages relating to himself.

³⁷ This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel, "A prophet like me shall the Lord God raise up to you from among your brethren; him shall you hear."

⁴³ To him all the prophets bear witness, that every one who believes on him, shall receive forgiveness of sins by his name.

²⁷ for the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and their rulers, not knowing him, nor the sayings of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath day; have fulfilled them in condemning him. ²⁸ And though they could find no cause of death in him; yet they requested Pilate that he might be executed. ²⁹ And when they had accomplished all things that were written concerning him; taking him down from the cross, they laid him in a tomb. ³⁰ But God raised him up from the dead:

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him; and he said to me, See you do it not: I am a fellow-servant with you, and with your brethren who keep the testimony of Jesus. Worship God; for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
