⁸ Finally, be all of one mind, sympathizing, lovers of the brethren, tender-hearted, courteous-

³³ Ought not you to have shown such pity to your fellow-servant, as I showed to you?

¹⁷ Treat all men with respect: love the brotherhood: fear God: honor the king.

⁵ For the like reason, you younger persons subject yourselves to the seniors. Yes, all be subject to one another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud but gives favor to the humble.

³³ But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion,

¹ And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all unanimously assembled in the same place:

³² Now the heart and soul of the multitude of believers was one: nor did any one call any of his possessions his own; but all things were common among them.

³ And the next day we reached Sidon: and Julius, treating Paul with great humanity, permitted him to go to his friends, and to enjoy the benefit of their care.

⁷ And in the neighborhood of that place, there was the estate of the chief of the island, whose name was Publius; who, having received us into his house, entertained us in a courteous manner for three days.

¹⁰ In brotherly love, be tenderly affectionate to one another-in honor, prefer one another.

¹⁵ Rejoice with them who rejoice, and weep with them who weep. ¹⁶ Be of the same disposition toward one another. Do not care for high things; but accommodate yourselves to those which are humble. Be not wise in your own conceits.

⁵ Now, may the God who gives patience and admonition, give to you mutual unity of sentiment, according to Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ Now, brethren, I beseech you by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no schisms among you; but that you be perfectly united in the same mind, and in the same judgment.

²⁶ So, whether one member suffer, all the members sympathize; or, one member be honored, all the members rejoice together.

² with all humility and meekness; with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love;

³¹ Let all bitterness, and anger, and wrath, and clamor, and detraction, be taken away from among you, with all malice.

¹⁶ Moreover, let us walk in conformity to what we have attained.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are venerable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are benevolent, whatever things are of good fame; if there be any virtue, and if any praise be due, attentively consider these things; ⁹ those, also, which you have learned, and received, and heard, and seen with me, practice; and the God of peace will be with you.

¹² Put on, therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of compassion, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering.

¹ Let brotherly love continue.

¹³ for judgment without mercy, will be to him who showed no mercy: but mercy exults over judgment.

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is, indeed, first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be persuaded, full of compassion and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

¹¹ Behold, we call them happy, who are patient. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

²² Wherefore, having purified your souls by obeying the truth, through the Spirit, to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another, from a pure heart, fervently:

⁷ and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love:

¹⁴ We know that we have passed away from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who loves not his brother, abides in death.

¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue; but in deed, and in truth. ¹⁹ For by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
