¹³ I have indeed built a dwelling-house for thee, a settled place for thy abode for ever.

¹⁷ Thou wilt bring them, and plant them on the mountain of thy inheritance, the place, O Lord, which thou hast wrought for thy residence, the sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.

¹³ He it is that shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

¹² He it is that shall build for me a house, and I will establish his throne for ever.

¹⁰ He it is who shall build a house unto my name; and he shall be unto me as a son, and I will be unto him as a father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. ¹¹ Now, my son, may the Lord be with thee, that thou mayest prosper, and build the house of the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken concerning thee.

⁶ And he hath said unto me, Solomon thy son it is that shall build my house and my courts; for I have made choice of him to be as a son unto me, and I will be indeed to him as a father.

¹⁰ See now that the Lord hath made choice of thee to build a house for the sanctuary: be strong and do it.

²⁰ And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong, and of good courage, and do the work; fear not, and be not dismayed; for the Lord God, yea, my God is with thee: he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.

² And I have indeed built a dwelling-house for thee, and have settled a place for thy abode for ever.”

⁶⁸ But he chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved. ⁶⁹ And he built like high mountains his sanctuary, like the earth which he hath founded for ever.

¹³ For the Lord hath made choice of Zion: he hath desired it as a habitation for himself. ¹⁴ This is my resting-place for evermore: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
