²² And you will be hated by everybody because of my name; but he who endures until the end shall live.

¹¹ Blessed are you, when they reproach you and persecute you, and speak against you every kind of bad word, falsely, for my sake,

³⁹ He who is concerned about his life shall lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake shall find it.

⁹ Then they will deliver you over to be oppressed, and they will kill you; and you will be hated by all nations for my nameÆs sake.

¹³ But he who has patience to the end, he will be saved.

¹³ And you will be hated by all men because of my name; but he who has patience to the end, will be saved.

²² Blessed are you, when men hate you, and discriminate against you, and reproach you, and publish your names as bad, for the sake of the Son of man.

¹⁵ But that in good soil, these are those who hear the word with pure and good heart, and keep it, and bear fruit with patience.

⁷ The world cannot hate you; but it hates me, because I testify against it, that its works are evil.

¹⁸ If the world hate you, know well that it has hated me before you. ¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but you are not of the world, for I have chosen you out of the world; this is why the world hates you. ²⁰ Remember the word which I said to you, that no servant is greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will also keep yours. ²¹ But they will do all these things to you for the sake of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.

¹⁴ I have given them your word; and the world hated them, because they were not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

¹⁶ For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my nameÆs sake.

⁷ To those who continue patiently in good works seeking glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

¹¹ For if we who live are delivered to death for JesusÆ sake, so also will the life of Jesus be made manifest in our mortal bodies.

⁹ Let us not be weary in welldoing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

¹⁴ For we are made partakers of Christ, if from the beginning to the very end we hold steadfast to this true covenant,

¹¹ We desire that every one of you show the same diligence toward the fulfillment of your hope, even unto the end,

¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptations: for when he is tested, he shall receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

¹³ So be not surprised, my brethren, if the world hates you.

²⁰ But you, my beloved, build up yourselves anew in the holy faith through the Holy Spirit, by means of prayer. ²¹ Keep ourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our LORD Jesus Christ and for the life which is ours forever.

³ And you have patience, and you have borne burdens for my nameÆs sake, and have not wearied.

⁷ He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches: To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of my God.

¹⁰ Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you be tried; and you will be oppressed for ten days: be faithful even to death, and I will give you a crown of life.

¹⁷ He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it.

²⁶ And he who overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him I will give authority over the nations:

²¹ To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on my throne, even as I also overcame, and have sat down with my Father on his throne.
