²² And has put all things under his feet, and made him, who is above all things, the head of the church,

¹⁸ I tell you also that you are a stone, and upon this stone I will build my church; and the doors of Sheol shall not shut in on it.

²⁸ Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, to feed the church of Christ which he has purchased with his blood.

³ But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the wife is her husband; and the head of Christ is God.

²⁵ For he must reign till he has put all enemies under his feet. ²⁶ And the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. ²⁷ For he has put all things under his feet. But when he said all things are put under him, it is clear that he, who put all things under him, is excepted.

²¹ Unto him be glory in his church by Jesus Christ throughout all ages, world without end: Amen.

¹⁵ But that we be sincere in our love, so that in everything we may progress through Christ, who is the head. ¹⁶ It is through him that the whole body is closely and firmly united at all joints, according to the measure of the gift which is given to every member, for the guidance and control of the body, in order to complete the edifying of the body in love.

²³ For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of its body.

⁸ And who has made known to us your love for spiritual things.

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church: for he is the beginning, the firstfruits of the resurrection from the dead; that in all things he might be the first;

¹⁰ And it is through him that you also have been made complete, for he is the head of all angelic orders and powers:

¹⁹ That very person does not uphold the Head by which the whole body is constructed and stands with the joints and members; and grows through the discipline of God.

¹⁵ So that if I am delayed, you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

⁸ Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. By putting all things under his control, he left nothing that he did not put under subjection to him. But now we do not see yet that all things are in subjection to him.

²² But you have come near to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the innumerable multitude of angels, ²³ And to the congregation of the first converts who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of pious men made perfect ²⁴ And to Jesus, the mediator of the new covenant, and to the sprinkling of his blood, which speaks a better message than Abel did.
