⁷ Now if the ministration of death, as contained in the letter of the law and engraved on stones, was so glorious that the children of Israel could not look at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance; which glory was not lasting:

²⁹ And while he prayed, the appearance of his face was changed, and his clothes became white and dazzling. ³⁰ And behold, two men were speaking with him, who were Moses and Elijah; ³¹ Who appeared in glory, and spoke concerning his departure which was to end at Jerusalem.

¹⁵ Then all who were seated at the council looked at him and saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

¹⁵ For the law causes provocation; for where there is no law, there is no transgression.

¹⁰ And the commandment which was ordained to life I found to be for death.

¹² Wherefore the law is holy and the commandment holy, and just, and good. ¹³ Has then that which is good, become death to me? Far be it. But sin that is exposed as sin and works death in me for that which is good, will be the more condemned by means of the law. ¹⁴ For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am of the flesh enslaved to sin.

²² For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

⁴ For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one who believes.

¹⁰ But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is imperfect shall be done away.

³ For you are known to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the spirit of the Living God; not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of the living heart.

⁶ Who has made us worthy to be ministers of the new covenant; not of the letter, but the Spirit: for the letter of the law punishes with death, but the Spirit gives life.

⁹ For if there be glory in the ministration of condemnation, much more will the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. ¹⁰ Just as that which was not glorious became glorified, in comparison with that, this excels in glory. ¹¹ For if that which was not lasting was glorious, much more glorious will that be which endures.

¹³ And not as Moses who put a veil over his face, so that the children of Israel might not look upon the fulness of the glory which was not lasting: ¹⁴ But their minds were blinded: for to this day, when the Old Testament is read, the same veil rests over them, and it is not known to them that the veil has been removed through Christ.
