⁴ And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that will not fade away.

³¹ When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all his holy angels with him, then he will sit upon the throne of his glory. ³² And all nations will gather before him; and he will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; ³³ And he will set the sheep at his right, and the goats at his left. ³⁴ Then the King will say to those at his right, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom which has been prepared for you from the foundation of the world. ³⁵ For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; ³⁶ I was naked, and you covered me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me. ³⁷ Then the righteous will say to him, Our Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you? or thirsty and gave you drink? ³⁸ And when did we see you a stranger, and took you in? Or that you were naked, and covered you? ³⁹ And when did we see you sick, or in the prison, and come to you? ⁴⁰ The king then will answer and say to them, Truly I tell you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of these least brethren, you did it to me. ⁴¹ Then he will also say to those at his left, Go away from me, you cursed, to the everlasting fire, which is prepared for the adversary and his angels. ⁴² For I was hungry, and you did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and you did not give me to drink; ⁴³ I was a stranger, and you did not take me in; I was naked, and you did not cover me; I was sick and in prison and you did not visit me. ⁴⁴ Then they also will answer and say, Our lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick or in the prison, and did not minister to you? ⁴⁵ Then he will answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of these least ones, you also did not do it to me. ⁴⁶ And these shall go into everlasting torment, and the righteous into eternal life.

¹¹ I am the good shepherd; a good shepherd risks his life for the sake of his sheep.

²⁵ And every man who battles in the contest, frees his mind from every thing else. And yet they run to win a garland which is perishable; but we to win one which is everlasting.

³ For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.

⁷ And to you who are oppressed, he shall grant to be at peace with us, when our LORD Jesus Christ shall be revealed from heaven with the host of his angels, ⁸ At which time he will avenge, with flaming fire, those who know not God, and those who do not acknowledge the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ; ⁹ For they, at the judgment day, shall be rewarded with everlasting destruction from the presence of our LORD, and from the glory of his power; ¹⁰ When he comes to be glorified by his saints and to perform his wonders among his faithful ones, so that our testimony, concerning you, may be believed in that day.

⁸ Henceforth there is preserved for me a crown of righteousness, which my LORD, the righteous judge, will give me at that day: and not to me only but also to all those who eagerly await his appearance.

²⁰ Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our LORD Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptations: for when he is tested, he shall receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

⁴ To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, that does not fade away, and is prepared in heaven for you,

²⁵ For you had gone astray like sheep, but you have now returned to the Shepherd and the Guardian of your souls.

² Feed the flock of God which is entrusted to your care and shepherd them spiritually, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but with all your heart.

² My beloved, now we are the sons of God, and as yet it has not been revealed what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be in his likeness; for we shall see him as he is.

⁷ Behold he comes with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, even the men who pierced him: and all the kindreds of the earth shall wail over him. Even so, Amen.

¹⁰ Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you be tried; and you will be oppressed for ten days: be faithful even to death, and I will give you a crown of life.

¹¹ Behold I come quickly. Hold that fast which you have, so that no man take your crown.

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and him who sat on it, from whose presence the earth and the heavens fled away; and there was no place found for them. ¹² Then I saw the dead, small and great, stand before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
