²⁴ Let that, therefore, abide in you which you have heard from the very beginning. For if that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Father and in the Son.

² According to what was handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of that very word,

⁴⁴ Treasure these words in your ears; for the Son of man will be delivered into the hands of men.

²⁵ The Jews said, Who are you? Jesus said to them, Even though I should begin to speak to you,

²³ Jesus answered and said to him, He who loves me, keeps my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make a place of abode with him.

⁷ If you remain with me, and my words remain with you, whatever you ask shall be done for you.

⁹ Just as my Father has loved me, I also have loved you; remain in my love. ¹⁰ If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my FatherÆs commandments, and I remain in his love.

²¹ So that they all may be one; just as you, my Father, art with me, and I am with you, that they also may be one with us; so that the world may believe you sent me. ²² And the glory which you gave me, I gave to them; so that they may be one just as we are one. ²³ I with them and you with me, that they may become perfected in one; so that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them just as you loved me. ²⁴ O Father, I wish that those whom you have given me, may also be with me where I am; so that they may see my glory which you have given me; for you have loved me before the foundation of the world.

¹⁵ Now you Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Mac-e-doÆni-a, no church shared with me, as concerning giving and receiving, but you only.

¹⁶ And let his word dwell in you abundantly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.

¹ THEREFORE, we should give earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time they be lost.

¹⁴ For we are made partakers of Christ, if from the beginning to the very end we hold steadfast to this true covenant,

³ It is that which we have seen and heard that we declare to you, so that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

⁷ But if we live in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

⁷ My beloved, I do not write a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have already heard.

¹³ Hereby we know that we abide in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

¹⁶ And we have believed and have known the love that God has for us. God is love; and he who dwells in love, abides in God.

² For the sake of the truth which dwells in us and is with us for ever,

⁵ And now I beseech you, O mother church, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. ⁶ And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should follow it.

³ For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified concerning the truth that is in you, even as you live a true life.

³ Remember, therefore, just as you have received and heard, so hold fast and repent. And if, therefore, you do not awake, I will come against you as a thief, and you shall not know at what hour I will come upon you.

¹¹ Behold I come quickly. Hold that fast which you have, so that no man take your crown.
