³ But if any man loves God, the same is known of him.

²³ Then I will declare to them, I have never known you; keep away from me, O you that work iniquity.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ²⁹ He knew them in advance and he marked them with the likeness of the image of his Son that he might be the first-born among many brethren.

² God has not rejected his people which he foreknew. Do you not know what the scripture says of Elijah? How he complained to God against Israel, saying,

⁹ But as it is written, The eye has not seen, and the ear has not heard, and the heart of man has not conceived the things which God has prepared for those who love him.

⁹ But now after you have known God, and, above all, are known of God, you turn again to those weak and poor principles, and you wish again to come under their bondage.

¹⁹ Nevertheless the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, The LORD knows those who are his, and he will save from iniquity every one who calls upon the name of the LORD.

¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptations: for when he is tested, he shall receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

⁵ Hear this, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of the world who are rich in faith, to be heirs of the kingdom which God has promised to those who love him?

⁸ Whom you have not seen, but whom you yet love, and in whose faith you rejoice with exceeding joy that cannot be described;

¹⁹ We love God because he first loved us.

² And by this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. ³ For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: And his commandments are not difficult.

⁹ I know your works and your suffering and poverty, but you are rich, and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan.

¹³ I know your works and where you dwell even where SatanÆs seat is: And you uphold my name, and you did not deny my faith, even in those days when that witness of mine appeared, that faithful one of mine who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.

¹⁹ I know your works, and love and faith, and service, and also your patience; and your last works are to be more abundant than the first.

⁸ I know your works: and behold, I have set before you an open door, which no man can lock, for you have but little strength and yet you have obeyed my word, and have not denied my name. ⁹ Behold I turn over those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

¹⁵ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot; it is better to be either cold or hot. ¹⁶ So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue you out of my mouth.
