¹³ I know your works and where you dwell even where SatanÆs seat is: And you uphold my name, and you did not deny my faith, even in those days when that witness of mine appeared, that faithful one of mine who was slain among you, where Satan dwells. ¹⁴ But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit adultery.

¹⁹ I know your works, and love and faith, and service, and also your patience; and your last works are to be more abundant than the first. ²⁰ Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you allowed that woman of yours Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

⁸ I know your works: and behold, I have set before you an open door, which no man can lock, for you have but little strength and yet you have obeyed my word, and have not denied my name. ⁹ Behold I turn over those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

¹⁵ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot; it is better to be either cold or hot. ¹⁶ So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue you out of my mouth.
