¹³ My brethren have stood aloof from me; they have recognized strangers [rather] than me: and my friends have become pitiless.

²¹ But you⌃ also have come to me without pity; so that beholding my wound you⌃ are afraid. ²² What? have I made any demand of you? or do I ask for strength from you, ²³ to deliver me from enemies, or to rescue me from the hand of the mighty ones?

⁷ For if I should speak, I shall not feel the pain of my wound: and if I should be silent, how shall I be wounded the less?

¹¹ Be glad in the Lord, and exult, you⌃ righteous: and glory, all you⌃ that are upright in heart.

¹¹ You chasten man with rebukes for iniquity, and you make his life to consume away like a spider's web; nay, every man is disquieted in vain. Pause.

⁸ O Lord God of hosts, who is like to you? you are mighty, O Lord, and your truth is round about you.

¹⁸ for [our] help is of the Lord; and of the Holy One of Israel, our king.
