²⁸ The inhabitants of Moab have left the cities, and lived in rocks; they have become as doves nestling in rocks, at the mouth of a cave.

¹⁶ For the wind passes over it, and it shall not be; and it shall know its place no more.

² For he has strengthened the bars of your gates; he has blessed your children within you.

² A time of birth, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what has been planted; ³ a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to pull down, and a time to build up;

¹⁰ Behold, I have appointed you this day over nations and over kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to rebuild, and to plant.

⁷ [If] I shall pronounce a decree upon a nation, or upon a kingdom, to cut them off, and to destroy [them]; ⁸ and that nation turn from all their sins, then will I repent of the evils which I purposed to do to them. ⁹ And [if] I shall pronounce a decree upon a nation and kingdom, to rebuild and to plant [it];

⁶ And I will fix mine eyes upon them for good, and I will restore them into this land for good: and I will build them up, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.

⁴ And they said to the king, Let that man, we pray you, be slain, for he weakens the hands of the fighting men that are left in the city, and the hands of all the people, speaking to them according to these words: for this man does not prophesy peace to this people, but evil.

¹⁴ The Lord also has watched, and brought the evils upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his work which he has executed, but we have not listened to his voice.

²⁵ And you shall know and understand, that from the going forth of the command for the answer and for the building of Jerusalem until Christ the prince [there shall be] seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks; and then [the time] shall return, and the street shall be built, and the wall, and the times shall be exhausted.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and will rebuild the ruins of it, and will set up the parts thereof that have been broken down, and will build it up as in the ancient days:
