²⁷ Behold, the name of the Lord comes after a [long] time, burning wrath: the word of his lips is with glory, a word full of anger, and the anger of his wrath shall devour as fire.

²² For a fire has been kindled out of my wrath, it shall burn to hell below; it shall devour the land, and the fruits of it; it shall set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

² And he said, The Lord is come from Sina, and has appeared from Seir to us, and has hasted out of the mount of Pharan, with the ten thousands of Cades; on his right hand [were] his angels with him.

⁷ The law of the Lord is perfect, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, instructing babes. ⁸ The ordinances of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is bright, enlightening the eyes. ⁹ The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, [and] justified altogether.

⁵ You will feed us with bread of tears; and will cause us to drink tears by measure.

⁵ For they shall compensate for every garment that has been acquired by deceit, and [all] raiment with restitution; and they shall be willing, [even] if they were burnt with fire.

⁵ Woe to the Assyrians; the rod of my wrath, and anger are in their hands.

¹⁶ but the Lord of hosts shall send dishonor upon your honor, and burning fire shall be kindled upon your glory. ¹⁷ And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and he shall sanctify him with burning fire, and it shall devour the wood as grass.

¹² And the nations shall be burnt up; as a thorn in the field cast out and burnt up.

⁹ And her valleys shall be turned into pitch, and her land into sulphur; and her land shall be as pitch burning night and day;

¹⁹ So shall they of the west fear the name of the Lord, and they [that come] from the rising of the sun his glorious name: for the wrath of the Lord shall come as a mighty river, it shall come with fury.

¹⁴ And you⌃ shall see, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall thrive like grass: and the hand of the Lord shall be known to them that fear him, and he shall threaten the disobedient.

¹² LAMED. All you⌃ that pass by the way, turn, and see if there is sorrow like to my sorrow, which has happened [to me]. The Lord who spoke by me has afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger. ¹³ MEM. He has sent fire from his lofty habitation, he has brought it into my bones: he has spread a net for my feet, he has turned me back: he has made me desolate [and] mourning all the day.

⁹ I [*]saw until the thrones were set, and the Ancient of days sat; and his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head, as pure wool: his throne was a flame of fire, [and] his wheels burning fire.

⁵ The mountains quake at him, and the hills are shaken, and the earth recoils at his presence, [even] the world, and all that dwell in it. ⁶ Who shall stand before his anger? and who shall withstand in the anger of his wrath? his wrath brings to nothing kingdoms, and the rocks are burst asunder by him.

⁸ Therefore wait upon me, says the Lord, until the day when I rise up for a witness: because my judgment [shall be] on the gatherings of the nations, to draw to me kings, to pour out upon them all [my] fierce anger: for the whole earth shall be consumed with the fire of my jealousy.
