¹² Six days shall you do your works, and on the seventh day there shall be rest, that your ox and your ass may rest, and that the son of your maidservant and the stranger may be refreshed.

⁸ Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy. ⁹ Six days you shall labor, and shall perform all your work. ¹⁰ But on the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord your God; on it you shall do no work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your servant nor your maidservant, your ox nor your ass, nor any cattle of your, nor the stranger that sojourns with you. ¹¹ For in six days the Lord made the heaven and the earth, and the sea and all things in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it.

¹⁵ Six days you shall do works, but the seventh day is the sabbath, a holy rest to the Lord; every one who shall do a work on the seventh day shall be put to death. ¹⁶ And the children of Israel shall keep the sabbaths, to observe them throughout their generations.

²¹ Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: [there shall be] rest in seed time and harvest.

³ You⌃ shall not burn a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath-day; I [am] the Lord.

³ saying, Why have we fasted, and you regard not? [why] have we afflicted our souls, and you did not know it? Nay, in the days of your fasts you⌃ find your pleasures, and all them that are under your power you⌃ wound.
