¹ Who can give You to me, as my brother, who sucked the breasts of my mother? When I find You outside, I would kiss You. They also would not despise me. ² I would lead You; I would bring You into my mother's house, that You might teach me; I would cause You to drink the spiced wine from the juice of my pomegranate. ³ His left hand would be under my head, and His right hand embracing me. ⁴ I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem; why should you stir up or why should you awaken my love until it pleases? ⁵ Who is this that comes up from the wilderness, leaning on her Beloved? I awakened you under the apple tree; there your mother travailed with you; there she travailed; she bore you. ⁶ Set me as a seal on Your heart, as a seal on Your arm. For love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as Sheol; its flames are flames of fire, a flame of Jehovah. ⁷ Many waters cannot quench love, nor will the rivers overflow it. If a man would give all the wealth of his house for love, they surely would despise him. ⁸ We have a little sister, and she has no breasts. What shall we do for our sister in the day she shall be spoken for? ⁹ If she is a wall, we will build a turret of silver on her. And if she is a door, we will enclose her with boards of cedar. ¹⁰ I was a wall, and my breasts like towers; then I was in His eyes as one finding peace. ¹¹ Solomon had a vineyard in Baal-hamon. He let the vineyard out to keepers; for its fruit everyone was to bring a thousand of silver. ¹² My vineyard which is mine is before me; the thousand is for you, O Solomon, and two hundred for the keepers of its fruit. ¹³ You who dwell in the gardens, the companions are listening to your voice; cause me to hear it . ¹⁴ Hurry, my Beloved, and be like a gazelle, or a young deer, the stag, on the mountains of spices.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Oh the blessings of all those who flee to Him for refuge!

¹⁰ Listen, O daughter, and look, and incline your ear, and forget your people and your father's house. ¹¹ And the King will desire your beauty, for He is your Lord, and you shall worship Him.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

¹⁶ When Jehovah shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory. ¹⁷ He will turn to the prayer of the destitute, and will not despise their prayer.

² Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth; for Your loves are better than wine.

¹⁴ So, The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold! The virgin will conceive and will bring forth a son; and she shall call His name Immanuel.

⁶ For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

¹⁴ Also the sons of your afflicters shall come bowing to you. And all who despised you shall fall at the soles of your feet. And they shall call you, The City of Jehovah, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

¹¹ that you may suck and be satisfied with her comforting breasts; that you may milk out and delight yourselves with the fullness of her glory. ¹² For so says Jehovah: Behold, I stretch out peace to her like a river, and glory of nations like an overflowing torrent. And You shall suck; you shall be carried on the side and be dandled on knees.

⁷ And I will shake all the nations; and the desire of all nations shall come. And I will fill this house with glory, says Jehovah of hosts.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous and victorious, lowly, and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass.

¹ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁶ But your eyes are blessed because they see; and your ears because they hear. ¹⁷ For truly I tell you that many prophets and righteous ones desired to see what you see and did not see, and to hear what you hear and did not hear.

⁴² And coming, one poor widow threw in two lepta (which is a kodrantes). ⁴³ And having called His disciples near, He said to them, Truly I say to you that this poor widow has thrown in more than all of those casting into the treasury. ⁴⁴ For all threw in out of that abounding to them, but she out of her poverty threw in all, as much as she had, her whole livelihood.

⁶ But Jesus said, Let her alone. Why do you cause her troubles? She worked a good work toward Me. ⁷ For you have the poor with you always, and when you wish, you can do well toward them. But you do not have Me always. ⁸ What this one held, she did. She took beforehand to anoint My body for the burial. ⁹ Truly I say to you, Wherever this gospel is proclaimed in all the world, what this one did will also be spoken of for a memorial of her.

²⁶ And it happened to him, having been divinely instructed by the Holy Spirit, he was not to see death before he would see the Christ of the Lord. ²⁷ And by the Spirit he came into the temple. And as the parents were bringing in the child Jesus for them to do according to the custom of the Law concerning Him, ²⁸ even Simeon received Him into his arms. And he blessed God and said, ²⁹ Now, Master, You will let Your slave go in peace according to Your word; ³⁰ because my eyes saw Your Salvation, ³¹ which You prepared before the face of all the peoples; ³² a Light for revelation to the nations, and the Glory of Your people Israel.

³⁸ And coming on at the very hour, she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke concerning Him to all those in Jerusalem eagerly expecting redemption.

⁴⁵ You gave Me no kiss, but she from when I entered did not stop fervently kissing My feet. ⁴⁶ You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with ointment. ⁴⁷ For this reason I say to you, her many sins are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, he loves little. ⁴⁸ And He said to her, Your sins are forgiven.

²⁶ For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of man will be ashamed of that one when He comes in His glory, and that of the Father, and of the holy angels.

¹⁶ The one hearing you hears Me, and the one rejecting you also rejects Me, and the one rejecting Me also rejects the One having sent Me.

²³ And having turned to the disciples alone, He said, Blessed are the eyes seeing what you see. ²⁴ For I say to you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear.

⁸ But I say to you, everyone who may confess Me before men, the Son of man will also confess him before the angels of God.

⁹ And He also spoke this parable to some of those relying on themselves, that they are righteous, and despising the rest:

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth.

¹³ And no one has gone up into Heaven, except He having come down out of Heaven, the Son of Man who is in Heaven.

⁴⁶ The officers answered, Never did a man so speak as does this man. ⁴⁷ Then the Pharisees answered them, Have you not also been deceived? ⁴⁸ Not any from the rulers or from the Pharisees believed into him? ⁴⁹ But not knowing the Law, this crowd is cursed. ⁵⁰ Nicodemus said to them, the one coming by night to Him, being one of themselves, ⁵¹ Does our Law judge the Man unless it hear from him first, and know what he does? ⁵² They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search and see that a prophet has not been raised out of Galilee.

⁴² Then Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I went forth and have come from God. For I have not come from Myself, but that One sent Me.

²⁵ Then he answered and said, Whether he is a sinner, I do not know. One thing I do know; that being blind, now I see. ²⁶ And they said to him again, What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes? ²⁷ He answered them, I told you already, and you did not hear. Why do you wish to hear again? Do you also desire to become disciples of Him? ²⁸ Then they reviled him and said, You are a disciple of that one, but we are disciples of Moses. ²⁹ We know that God has spoken by Moses, but this one, we do not know from where he is. ³⁰ The man answered and said to them, For there is a marvel in this, that you do not know from where He is, and He opened my eyes. ³¹ But we know that God does not hear sinful ones, but if anyone is God fearing, and does His will, He hears that one. ³² From the beginning of the age it was never heard that anyone opened the eyes of one having been born blind. ³³ If this One was not from God, He could not do anything. ³⁴ They answered and said to him, You were born wholly in sins, and do you teach us? And they threw him outside. ³⁵ Jesus heard that they threw him outside, and finding him, He said to him, Do you believe into the Son of God? ³⁶ And he answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I may believe into Him? ³⁷ And Jesus said to him, Even you have seen Him, and He speaking with you is that One. ³⁸ And he said, I believe, Lord! And he worshiped Him.

³ Jesus knowing that the Father has given all things into His hands, and that He came out from God, and goes away to God,

²⁸ I came out from the Father and have come into the world; I leave the world again and go to the Father.

²⁸ And God chose the low-born of the world, and the despised, and the things that are not, so that He might bring to nothing the things that are,

²⁶ but the Jerusalem from above is free, who is the mother of us all;

¹⁴ But may it never be for me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

³ For we are the circumcision, the ones who worship by the Spirit of God, and who glory in Christ Jesus, and who do not trust in flesh.

⁷ But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss because of Christ. ⁸ But, nay, rather I also count all things to be loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them to be trash, that I might gain Christ

¹⁶ And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

⁹ but we do see Jesus crowned with glory and honor, who on account of the suffering of death was made a little less than the angels, so that by the grace of God He might taste of death for every son . ¹⁰ For it was fitting for Him, because of whom are all things, and through whom are all things, bringing many sons to glory, to perfect Him as the Author of their salvation through sufferings. ¹¹ For both He sanctifying and the ones being sanctified are all of one; for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brothers, ¹² saying, I will announce Your name to My brothers; I will hymn to You in the midst of the assembly." Psa. 22:22 ¹³ And again, "I will be trusting on Him." Isa. 8:17 And again, "Behold, I and the children whom God gave to Me." Isa. 8:18 ¹⁴ Since, then, the children have partaken of flesh and blood, in like manner He Himself also shared the same things, that through death He might cause to cease the one having the power of death, (that is, the Devil);

²⁶ since He must often have suffered from the foundation of the world. But now once for all, at the completion of the ages, He has been manifested for putting away of sin through the sacrifice of Himself. ²⁷ And as it is reserved to men once to die, and after this Judgment; ²⁸ so being once offered "to bear the sins of many," Christ shall appear a second time without sin to those expecting Him for salvation. Isa. 53:12

² she has slaughtered her slaughter; she has mixed her wine; she has also set her table.

⁴ When I had passed on from them, it was a little while until I found Him whom my soul loves. I seized Him, and I did not let Him go until I had brought Him into my mother's house, and into the room of her who conceived me.

¹⁰ How beautiful are your loves, My sister, My spouse! How much better are your loves than wine, and the scent of your ointments than all spices!

⁹ and the roof of your mouth like the best wine going down smoothly, for my Beloved, flowing softly over the lips of sleeping ones.

¹² Let us rise up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flowers and the blossom opens, and the pomegranates bud forth. There I will give my loves to You.

²⁹ Abraham said to him, They have Moses and the Prophets, let them hear them. ³⁰ But he said, No, father Abraham, but if one should go from the dead to them, they will repent. ³¹ And he said to him, If they will not hear Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if one from the dead should rise.

³⁹ You search the Scriptures, for you think in them you have everlasting life. And they are the ones witnessing concerning Me.

⁴⁶ For if you were believing Moses, you would then believe Me; for that one wrote concerning Me. ⁴⁷ But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?

¹¹ And these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with all readiness, daily examining the Scriptures if these things are so . ¹² Then indeed many from among them believed, and not a few of the honorable Greek women and men.

¹⁵ and that from a babe you know the Holy Scriptures, those being able to make you wise to salvation through belief in Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ About which salvation the prophets sought out and searched out, prophesying concerning the grace for you, ¹¹ searching for what, or what sort of time the Spirit of Christ made clear within them; testifying beforehand of the sufferings belonging to Christ, and the glories after these. ¹² To whom it was revealed that not to themselves, but to us they ministered the same things, which now were announced to you by those having preached the gospel to you in the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; into which things angels long to bow to look.

¹⁹ and we have the more established prophetic word, in which you do well to take heed, as to a lamp shining in a murky place, until day dawns and the Day-star rises in your hearts;

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him, but he said to me, Behold! Stop! I am a fellow-slave of yours, and of your brothers, having the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

²⁷ The God of old is a refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And He shall cast the enemy out from before you, and shall say, Destroy!

⁶ His left hand is under my head, and His right hand embraces me.

⁴ You no longer shall be called Forsaken; nor shall your land any longer be called Desolate. But you shall be called, My Delight is in Her; and your land, Married. For Jehovah delights in you, and your land is married. ⁵ For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you. And as a bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God shall rejoice over you.

⁹ And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will rather gladly boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me.

⁷ I adjure you by the gazelles, and by the does of the field, O daughters of Jerusalem, that you do not stir up and do not awaken the Beloved until it pleases.

⁵ I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles or by the does of the field, that you do not stir up, even that you not stir up the Beloved until it pleases.

⁸ With him is an arm of flesh, and with us is Jehovah our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people were supported by the words of Hezekiah the king of Judah.

⁸ My soul is cleaved after You; Your right hand upholds me.

² Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, whom He redeemed from the hand of the foe; ³ and gathered them from the lands; from east and from west; from north and from south. ⁴ They wandered in the wilderness, in a desert way; they found no city of dwelling; ⁵ hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them; ⁶ and they cried to Jehovah in their distress; He delivered them from their straits. ⁷ And He guided them in the right way; to go to a city of dwelling. ⁸ Let them thank Jehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of man.

³ As the apple among the trees of the forest, so is my Beloved among the sons. I delighted in His shadow, and I sat down; and His fruit was sweet to my taste.

⁶ Who is this who comes up out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, burned with myrrh and frankincense, from all powders of the merchant?

¹¹ Go forth, O daughters of Zion, and see king Solomon with the crown with which his mother crowned him on his wedding day, even on the day of the gladness of his heart.

⁸ Come with Me from Lebanon, My spouse; with Me from Lebanon. Look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards.

¹⁰ Who is she who looks down like the dawn, beautiful as the moon, clear as the sun, awesome as bannered armies ?

¹ Who can give You to me, as my brother, who sucked the breasts of my mother? When I find You outside, I would kiss You. They also would not despise me.

³ You will keep in perfect peace the mind stayed on You, for he trusts in You. ⁴ Trust in Jehovah forever, for in Jah Jehovah is everlasting strength.

⁶ Behold, you trust on the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt, which if a man leans on it, it goes into his palm and pierces it; so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.

³ The voice of him who cries in the wilderness: Prepare the way of Jehovah; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

¹⁹ Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall sprout. Shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

²⁰ The sons of your bereavement shall yet say in your ears, The place is too narrow for me; come near so that I may live. ²¹ Then you shall say in your heart, Who has borne these to me, for I am bereaved and desolate, turned aside and an exile; who then has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone. From where do these come ? ²² So says the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations, and will set up My banner to peoples. And they shall bring your sons in the bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on the shoulder. ²³ And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nurses. They shall bow to you, faces down to the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet. And you shall know that I am Jehovah, by whom they who wait for Me shall not be ashamed.

² Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, So says Jehovah, I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your espousals, your going after Me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.

⁴ Yes, he wept and pleaded to Him, and he contended with the Angel and overcame. He found us at Bethel, and He spoke with us there,

¹¹ Her leaders judge for a bribe, and her priests teach for pay, and her prophets divine for silver; yet they will lean on Jehovah, saying, is not Jehovah among us? No evil shall come on us!

⁴⁸ Nathanael said to Him, From where do You know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called, you being under the fig tree, I saw you. ⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel. ⁵⁰ Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to you I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these. ⁵¹ And He says to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, from now on you will see Heaven opened, and "the angels of God ascending and descending" on the Son of man. ²³ But there was one of His disciples reclining at the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus loved.

²³ For tonight stood by me an angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, ²⁴ saying, Do not fear, Paul, You must stand before Caesar. And, behold, God has granted to you all those sailing with you. ²⁵ Therefore, be cheered, men, for I believe God, that it will be so according to the way it was spoken to me.

⁴ So that, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, for you to become Another's, to One raised from the dead, so that we may bear fruit to God.

⁹ And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will rather gladly boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me. ¹⁰ Because of this, I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in dire needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for the sake of Christ. For when I may be weak, then I am powerful.

¹⁹ My children, for whom I again travail until Christ should be formed to you,

¹² for us to be to the praise of His glory, the ones who had previously trusted in Christ; ¹³ in whom also you, hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also believing you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

²¹ the ones believing in God through Him, He raising Him from the dead, and giving glory to Him so that your faith and hope may be in God.

⁶ And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place, it having been prepared from God, that there they might nourish her a thousand two hundred and sixty days.

⁹ And you shall take two onyx stones; and you shall engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel. ¹⁰ Six of their names shall be on the one stone, and six of the remaining names on the second stone, according to their birth. ¹¹ You shall engrave the two stones, the work of an stone engraver, the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel; you shall make them set in plaited work of gold. ¹² And you shall put the two stones on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel. And Aaron shall bear their names before the face of Jehovah, on his two shoulders for a remembrance.

²¹ And the stones shall be according to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve according to their names, the engraving of a signet; they shall be each according to his name for the twelve tribes.

²⁹ And Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breast pocket of judgment on his heart, in his going into the holy place, for a memorial before the face of Jehovah continually. ³⁰ And you shall put the Urim and the Thummim into the breast pocket of judgment; and they shall be on the heart of Aaron in his going before the face of Jehovah. And Aaron shall bear the judgment of the sons of Israel on his heart before the face of Jehovah continually.

¹⁴ and a spirit of jealousy has passed over him, and he has become jealous of his wife, and she has been defiled. Or, a spirit of jealousy has passed over him, and he has become jealous of his wife, and she has not become defiled:

¹¹ Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned My wrath away from the sons of Israel while he was zealous for My sake among them, so that I did not consume the sons of Israel in My jealousy.

²¹ They made Me jealous with a no-god; they made Me angry by their vanities; and I shall make them jealous by a no-people; by a foolish nation I shall make them angry.

¹ To the chief musician. A Contemplation for the sons of Korah. As the deer pants after the channels of water, so my soul pants after You, O God. ² My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?

¹ A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; I earnestly seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You, as in a dry and weary land without water.

² My soul longs and even faints for the courts of Jehovah; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

⁴ Sharp arrows of the mighty with coals of broom!

³⁴ For jealousy is the rage of a man, and he will not spare in the day of vengeance,

²² for you shall heap coals of fire on his head, and Jehovah shall reward you.

⁸ I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my Beloved, what do you tell Him? That I am sick with love.

¹⁶ Behold, I have carved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are always before Me.

²⁴ As I live, says Jehovah, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah were the signet on My right hand, yet I would tear you out of there!

²³ In that day, says Jehovah of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel, My servant, the son of Shealtiel, says Jehovah, and will make you like a signet; for I have chosen you, declares Jehovah of hosts.

⁹ For, behold, I will bring forth My Servant, the BRANCH. For behold, the stone which I have given before Joshua, on the one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave its engraving, says Jehovah of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

¹⁵ Then when they broke fast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Feed My lambs! ¹⁶ Again He says to him, secondly, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me? He says to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Shepherd My sheep! ¹⁷ Thirdly, He said to him, Simon son of Jonah, do you love Me? Peter was grieved that He said to him a third time, Do you love Me? And he said to him, Lord, You perceive all things, You know that I love You! Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep! ¹⁸ Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself, and you walked where you desired. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you, and will carry you where you do not desire. ¹⁹ But He said this signifying by what death he would glorify God. And having said this, He told him, Follow Me.

²⁴ But I make account of nothing, nor do I hold my life precious to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, fully to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹³ But Paul answered, What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I not only am ready to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

²⁰ Then "if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink; for doing this you will heap coals of fire on his head." Prov. 25:21, 22

¹⁴ For the love of Christ constrains us, having judged this, that if One died for all, then the all died; ¹⁵ and He died for all, that the living ones may live no more to themselves, but to the One having died for them and having been raised.

² For I am jealous over you with a jealousy of God. For I have promised you to one Man, to present you a pure virgin to Christ.

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but as always in all boldness even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death. ²¹ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ²² But if I live in the flesh, this to me is fruit of my labor, and what I shall choose I do not know. ²³ For I am pressed together by the two: having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better,

¹⁹ However, the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, " The Lord knew those being His;" Num. 16:5, also, Let everyone naming the name of Christ depart from unrighteousness.

¹¹ And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony. And they did not love their soul even until death.

³¹ But if he is found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the goods of his house.

³⁵ He will not lift up the face of every ransom, nor will he consent if you multiply the bribes.

² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk in the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle on you.

²⁴ Then everyone who hears these words from Me, and does them, I will compare him to a wise man who built his house on the rock; ²⁵ and the rains came down, and the rivers came up, and the winds blew, and fell against that house; but it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.

²⁸ But we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose; ²⁹ because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers. ³⁰ But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; but whom He justified, these He also glorified. ³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? ³² Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not freely give us all things with Him? ³³ Who will bring any charge against God's elect? God is the One justifying! ³⁴ Who is he condemning? It is Christ who has died, but rather also is raised, who also is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ³⁶ Even as it has been written, "For Your sake we are killed all the day; we are counted as sheep of slaughter." Psa. 44:22 ³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer through Him loving us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

⁸ Do not continue to owe anything, except to love one another. For the one loving the other has fulfilled the law. ⁹ For, "Do not commit adultery," "do not murder," "do not steal," do not bear false witness, "do not lust," Ex. 20:13-15, 17 and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Lev. 19:18 ¹⁰ Love does not work evil to the neighbor. Then love is the fulfillment of law.

⁸ Ask of Me, and I will give the nations as Your inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession.

¹⁷ His name shall be forever; His name shall continue before the sun; and they shall bless themselves by Him; all nations shall call Him blessed. ¹⁸ Blessed is Jehovah God, the God of Israel, who alone does wonderful things. ¹⁹ And blessed is His glorious name forever; and the whole earth is filled with His glory! Amen and amen!

¹⁹ He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel. ²⁰ He has not done so with any nation; and they have not known His judgments. Praise Jehovah!

¹⁰ I was a wall, and my breasts like towers; then I was in His eyes as one finding peace.

⁶ And He said, It is too little that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light of the nations, that You may be My salvation to the end of the earth.

¹ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen on you! ² For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you. ³ And nations shall walk to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawning. ⁴ Lift up your eyes all around and see; they are all assembling; they are coming to you. Your sons shall come from far away, and your daughters shall be supported on the side. ⁵ Then you shall fear and be bright; and your heart shall dread and swell. For the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you; the wealth of nations shall come to you.

¹⁰ And the sons of the stranger shall build your walls; and their kings shall serve you. For I struck you in My wrath, but I pitied you in My favor. ¹¹ So your gates shall be always open; they shall not be shut day or night, so that men may bring to you the force of nations, and that their kings may be led.

⁷ As a myriad, as the field shoot I have made you, and you are grown and are great. And you come in the finest ornaments. Your breasts are formed, and your hair is grown, yet you were naked and bare.

⁴⁶ And your older sister is Samaria, she and her daughters who are dwelling on your left. And your younger sister from you who dwells on the right is Sodom and her daughters.

⁵⁵ When your sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former state, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former state, then you and your daughters shall return to your former state. ⁵⁶ For your sister Sodom was not to be heard from your mouth in the day of your pride,

⁶¹ Then you shall remember your ways and be ashamed, when you shall receive your sisters, the older than you to the younger than you, and I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant.

³³ With drunkenness and sorrow you are filled, the cup of horror and ruin, the cup of your sister Samaria.

⁴⁴ and will tear you down, and your children in you, and will not leave a stone on a stone, because you did not know the time of your visitation.

¹⁶ And I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock, one Shepherd.

³⁸ This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him in Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living words to give to us,

¹ But a certain man named Cornelius was in Caesarea, a centurion of a cohort being called Italian, ² one devout and fearing God, with all his household, both doing many alms to the people and praying continually to God. ³ About the ninth hour of the day, he saw plainly in a vision an angel of God coming to him, and saying to him, Cornelius! ⁴ And he was staring at him, and becoming terrified he said, What is it, Sir? And he said to him, Your prayers and your alms went up for a memorial before God. ⁵ And now send men to Joppa and call for Simon who is surnamed Peter. ⁶ This one is lodged with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He will tell you what you must do. ⁷ And when the angel speaking to Cornelius went away, calling two of his servants and a devout soldier of those continually waiting on him, ⁸ and having explained all things to them, he sent them to Joppa. ⁹ And on the morrow, these passing along on the road, and drawing near to the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray about the sixth hour. ¹⁰ And he became hungry and wished to taste food . But as they were preparing, an ecstasy fell on him. ¹¹ And he saw the heaven being opened and a certain vessel like a great sheet coming down on him, being bound by four corners, and let down onto the earth; ¹² in which were all the four-footed animals of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the creeping things, and the birds of the heaven. ¹³ And a voice came to him, Rise up, Peter, slay and eat. ¹⁴ But Peter said, Not at all, Lord, because I never did eat anything common or unclean. ¹⁵ And again a voice came to him a second time, What things God made clean, you do not make common. ¹⁶ And this happened three times, and the vessel was taken up into the heaven again. ¹⁷ And as Peter was doubting within himself what the vision which he saw might be, even behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius stood on the porch asking out the house of Simon. ¹⁸ And calling out, they inquired if Simon being surnamed Peter is lodged here.

¹ And the apostles and the brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the nations also received the Word of God. ² And when Peter went up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him, ³ saying, You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them. ⁴ But beginning, Peter set out to them in order, saying, ⁵ I was being in the city of Joppa, praying. And in an ecstasy, I saw a vision: a certain vessel was coming down, like a huge sheet, being let down by four corners out of the heaven; and it came as far as me. ⁶ Looking intently on this, I observed. And I saw the four-footed animals of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the creeping things, and the birds of the heaven. ⁷ And I heard a voice saying to me, Peter, rise up, slay and eat. ⁸ But I said, Not at all, Lord, because never has anything common or unclean entered into my mouth. ⁹ But a voice answered me the second time out of the heaven, What God has cleansed, you do not make common. ¹⁰ And this took place three times, and all things were pulled up into the heaven again. ¹¹ And, behold, at once three men stood at the house in which I was, having been sent from Caesarea to me. ¹² And the Spirit said to me to go with them, not discriminating. And these six brothers also were with me, and we went into the man's house. ¹³ And he told us how he saw an angel in his house, standing and saying to him, Send men to Joppa, and send for Simon who is surnamed Peter, ¹⁴ who will speak words to you by which you and all your household will be saved. ¹⁵ And in my beginning to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, as also on us in the beginning. ¹⁶ And I recalled the Word of the Lord, how He said, John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit. ¹⁷ Then if God gave the same gift to them as also to us, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, and I, who was I to be able to prevent God? ¹⁸ And hearing these things, they kept silent and glorified God, saying, Then God also has granted to the nations repentance unto life.

¹⁴ Simon recounted how even as at first God oversaw to take a people out from among the nations for His name. ¹⁵ And with this agree the words of the prophets, as it has been written, ¹⁶ After these things "I" will return and "will build again the tabernacle of David which has fallen," "and I will build again the things which have been demolished," and I will set it up, Amos 9:11, 12 ¹⁷ so as the rest of men may seek the Lord, "even all the nations on whom My name has been called, says the Lord, who is doing all these things." Amos 9:11, 12

⁹ And a vision appeared to Paul during the night: a certain man of Macedonia was standing, entreating him and saying, Passing over into Macedonia, help us!

²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you to the nations afar off.

¹⁷ having delivered you from the people and the nations, to whom I now send you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, in order that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among those being sanctified by faith in Me.

¹ What then is the superiority of the Jew? Or what the profit of circumcision? ² Much every way. For first, indeed, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

¹² For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for the same Lord of all is rich toward all the ones calling on Him. ¹³ For everyone, "whoever may call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Joel 3:5 ¹⁴ How then may they call on One in whom they have not believed? And how may they believe One of whom they have not heard? And how may they hear without preaching? ¹⁵ And how may they preach if they are not sent? Even as it has been written, "How beautiful" "the feet of those announcing the gospel of peace, of those announcing the gospel of good things." Isa. 52:7

⁹ and for the nations to glorify God for mercy, even as it has been written, "Because of this I will confess to You in the nations, and I will give praise to Your name." Psa. 18:49 ¹⁰ And again He says, "Rejoice, nations, with His people." Deut. 32:43 ¹¹ And again, "Praise the Lord, all the nations, and praise Him all the peoples." Psa. 117:1 ¹² And again Isaiah says, "The Root of Jesse shall be, and He rising up to rule the nations; on Him nations will hope." Isa. 11:10

¹² that at that time you were without Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers of the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. ¹³ But now, in Christ Jesus you who then were afar off came to be near by the blood of Christ. ¹⁴ For He is our peace, He making us both one, and breaking down the middle wall of partition, ¹⁵ in His flesh causing to cease the enmity, the Law of the commandments in decrees, that He might in Himself create the two into one new man, making peace,

¹⁹ So, then, you are no longer strangers and tenants, but you are fellow citizens of the saints and of the household of God, ²⁰ being built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the cornerstone, ²¹ in whom every building having been fitted together grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord, ²² in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

¹² having your behavior good among the nations, in that which they speak against you as evildoers; by observing your good works, they may glorify God in a day of visitation.

¹⁵ And he built the walls of the house inside with beams of cedar, from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling. He overlaid the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with boards of fir.

⁹ My Beloved is likened to a gazelle, or to a young deer, the stag. Behold, He stands behind our wall, looking from the windows, peering from the lattice.

¹² And those who come of you shall build the old ruins; you shall rear the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called, The repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to live in.

¹⁷ Instead of bronze, I will bring gold; and instead of iron, I will bring silver. And instead of timber, bronze; and instead of stones, iron. And I will make your governors peace, and your exacters righteousness.

⁴ And they shall build old ruins; they shall raise up former desolations; and they shall restore the waste cities, ruins of generations and generations.

¹² And speak to him, saying, So says Jehovah of hosts, saying, Behold! The Man whose name is THE BRANCH! And He shall spring up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of Jehovah. ¹³ Even He shall build the temple of Jehovah; and He shall bear the majesty, and shall sit and rule on His throne. And He shall be a priest on His throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between the two of them. ¹⁴ And the crowns shall be for a memorial in the temple of Jehovah, to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen, the son of Zephaniah. ¹⁵ And the distant ones shall come and build in the temple of Jehovah. And you shall know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall be, if you will diligently obey the voice of Jehovah your God.

¹⁸ And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against her.

²⁷ And having arrived, and gathering the church, they reported what things God did with them and that He opened a door of faith to the nations.

¹⁶ After these things "I" will return and "will build again the tabernacle of David which has fallen," "and I will build again the things which have been demolished," and I will set it up, Amos 9:11, 12

¹⁰ According to God's grace given to me, as a wise master builder, I laid a foundation, but another builds on it . But let each one be careful how he builds. ¹¹ For no one is able to lay any other foundation beside the One having been laid, who is Jesus Christ. ¹² And if anyone builds on this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw,

¹² and having a great and high wall, having twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates and names having been inscribed, which are of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. ¹³ From the east, three gates; from the north, three gates; from the south, three gates; and from the west, three gates. ¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. ¹⁵ And he speaking with me had a golden reed, that he may measure the city, and its gates, and its wall. ¹⁶ And the city lies four cornered, even its length as much as the width also. And he measured the city with the reed at twelve thousand stadia; its length and width and height are equal. ¹⁷ And he measured its wall, a hundred and forty four cubits, a measure of a man, which is of an angel. ¹⁸ And the structure of its wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like pure glass. ¹⁹ And the foundation of the wall of the city having been adorned with every precious stone: The first foundation, jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;

⁸ And Noah found grace in the eyes of Jehovah.

⁷ Jehovah did not set His love on you or choose you because you were more in number than any people, for you were the fewest of all peoples. ⁸ But because Jehovah loved you, and because He kept the oath which He swore to your fathers, Jehovah has caused you to go out with a strong hand, and redeemed you from the house of slaves, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

⁴ and you shall find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

³ Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle. ⁴ Your neck is like an ivory tower; your eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim. Your nose is like a tower of Lebanon, peering toward the face of Damascus.

⁷ Your stature compares to a palm tree, and your breasts to clusters of grapes. ⁸ I said, I will go up in the palm tree; I will take hold of its stalk. And please let your breasts be like clusters of the vine, and the scent of your nose like apples,

¹⁰ And the sons of the stranger shall build your walls; and their kings shall serve you. For I struck you in My wrath, but I pitied you in My favor.

³⁰ And the angel said to her, Do not fear, Mariam, for you have found favor from God.

¹ Then being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, ² through whom also we have had access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we glory on the hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only so, but we glory also in afflictions, knowing that affliction works out patience, ⁴ and patience works out proven character; and proven character, hope. ⁵ And the hope does not put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us; ⁶ for we yet being without strength, in due time Christ died for ungodly ones. ⁷ For with difficulty one will die for a just one, (for perhaps one even dares to die for the sake of the good one), ⁸ but God commends His love to us in this, that we being yet sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Much more then, being justified now by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. ¹⁰ For if while being enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life;

⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace in which He favored us in the One having been loved,

⁸ which He caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding,

¹⁶ But for this reason I received mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, for an example to those being about to believe on Him to everlasting life.

¹⁶ And he said to Sarah, I, behold, I have given a thousand of silver to your brother. Behold, it is for you a covering of the eyes to all who are with you. And with all this you are justified.

⁴ I made my works great; I built houses for myself; I planted vineyards for myself;

⁶ Do not look at me, that I am black, that the sun has looked on me. My mother's sons were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but my own vineyard I have not kept.

¹ Now I will sing to my Beloved a song of my Beloved concerning His vineyard: My Beloved has a vineyard in a fruitful horn. ² And He dug it, and cleared it of stones, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in its midst, and also hewed out a wine vat in it. And He waited for it to produce grapes, but it produced rotten grapes. ³ And now, O people of Jerusalem and men of Judah, I ask you, judge between Me and My vineyard. ⁴ What more could have been done to My vineyard that I have not done in it? Who knows? I waited for it to yield grapes, but it yielded rotten grapes. ⁵ And now I will make known to you what I will do then to My vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be burned. I will breach its wall, and it will become a trampling ground. ⁶ And I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor hoed; but briers and thorns shall come up. And I will command the clouds from raining rain on it. ⁷ For the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the man of Judah is His delightful plant. And He waited for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, a cry!

²³ And it shall be in that day, every place where there were a thousand vines worth a thousand pieces of silver, it shall be for briers and thorns.

³³ Hear another parable: There was a certain man, a house master, who planted a vineyard and placed a hedge around it; and he dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. And he rented it to vinedressers and left the country. Isa. 5:1, 2 ³⁴ And when the season of the fruits came, he sent his slaves to the vinedressers to receive his fruits. ³⁵ And the vinedressers, taking his slaves, they beat this one, and they killed one, and they stoned another. ³⁶ Again he sent other slaves, more than the first. And they did the same to them. ³⁷ And at last he sent his son to them, saying, They will have respect for my son. ³⁸ But seeing the son, the vinedressers said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and get hold of his inheritance. ³⁹ And taking him, they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him . ⁴⁰ Therefore, when the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to these vinedressers? ⁴¹ They said to Him, Bad men! He will miserably destroy them, and he will rent out the vineyard to other vinedressers who will give to him the fruits in their seasons. ⁴² Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, "A Stone which the builders rejected is the One that has become the head of the corner. This was from the Lord, and it is a wonder in our eyes?" Psa. 118:22, 23 ⁴³ Because of this I say to you, The kingdom of God will be taken from you, and it will be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits of it.

¹ And He began to speak to them in parables: "A man planted a vineyard, and set a fence around it," and dug a winevat, "and built a tower." And he rented it to vinedressers and went away. Isa. 5:1, 2

⁹ And He began to speak this parable to the people: A certain man planted a vineyard and let it out to vinedressers. And he left the country for long periods of time . Isa. 5:1, 2 ¹⁰ And in season, he sent a slave to the vinedressers, that they might give him the fruit of the vineyard. But the vinedressers sent him away empty, beating him . ¹¹ And he again sent another slave. But they also sent that one away empty, beating and insulting him . ¹² And he again sent a third. But they also threw this one out, wounding him . ¹³ And the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. Perhaps seeing this one, they will respect him . ¹⁴ And seeing him, the vinedressers reasoned with themselves, saying, This is the heir. Come let us kill him so that the inheritance may become ours. ¹⁵ And throwing him out of the vineyard, they killed him . Therefore, what will the Lord of the vineyard do to them? ¹⁶ He will come and will destroy these vinedressers and will give the vineyard to others. And hearing this, they said, Let it not be! ¹⁷ And looking at them He said, What then is this which has been written, " The stone that the builders rejected, this one came to be for the Head of the corner"? Psa. 118:22 ¹⁸ Everyone falling on that Stone will be broken in pieces but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.

²³ Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.

²⁸ Then take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit placed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased through His own blood.

⁷ For no one of us lives to himself and no one dies to himself. ⁸ For both if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Then both if we live, and if we die, we are the Lord's. ⁹ For this Christ both died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord over both the dead and the living.

²⁰ You were bought with a price; then glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are of God.

¹⁵ and He died for all, that the living ones may live no more to themselves, but to the One having died for them and having been raised.

¹⁹ For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are you not even to be before our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

¹⁵ Give care to these things; be in these things in order that your progress may be plain in all. ¹⁶ Give attention to yourself and to the doctrine; continue in them, for doing this, you will both deliver yourself and those hearing you.

¹⁷ Let the elders who take the lead well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those laboring in word and teaching. ¹⁸ For the Scripture says, "You shall not muzzle an ox treading out grain," and, the laborer is worthy of his pay. Deut. 25:4

³⁸ And he said, Go. And he sent her away two months. And she went, she and her friends. And she wept for her virginity on the mountains.

¹¹ And it happened when they saw him, they took thirty companions, and they were with him.

¹⁴ She shall be led to the King in embroidered work; her companions, the virgins, shall be brought to You after her.

¹⁵ And call on Me in the day of distress; and I will save you; and you shall glorify Me.

⁷ Tell me, You whom my soul loves, where do You feed; where do You lie down at noon? For why should I be as one who is veiled beside the flocks of Your companions?

¹³ The fig tree spices her unripe figs, and the vines give a fragrance by the blossom. Arise, My love; come, My beautiful one, and come yourself. ¹⁴ My dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secrecy of the steep place, let Me see your form. Let Me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your form is beautiful.

⁷ Behold his bed, Solomon's! Sixty mighty men are around it, of the mighty men of Israel. ⁸ They all hold the sword, instructed in war; each man has his sword on his thigh from dread in the night. ⁹ King Solomon made himself a litter bed of the trees of Lebanon. ¹⁰ He made its poles of silver; its back of gold; its seat of purple; its middle was paved with love by the daughters of Jerusalem. ¹¹ Go forth, O daughters of Zion, and see king Solomon with the crown with which his mother crowned him on his wedding day, even on the day of the gladness of his heart.

¹⁶ Awake, north wind; yea, come, south wind; blow on my garden; let its spices flow out. Let my Beloved come into His garden and eat its excellent fruits.

⁹ What is your Beloved more than another Beloved, most beautiful among women? What is your Beloved more than another Beloved, that you adjure us so? ¹⁰ My Beloved is bright and ruddy, standing out among ten thousand. ¹¹ His head is like refined gold; His locks are bushy and black as a raven. ¹² His eyes are as the eyes of doves on the rivers of waters, washed with milk, sitting on a setting. ¹³ His cheeks are like a bed of spices, a raised bed of aromatic herbs. His lips are like lilies dropping flowing myrrh. ¹⁴ His hands are like rings of gold filled with jewels; His body an ivory plate overlaid with sapphires. ¹⁵ His legs are like pillars of marble founded on bases of fine gold; His appearance is like Lebanon, excellent as the cedars. ¹⁶ His mouth is most sweet; and He is altogether lovely. This is my Beloved, and this is my Friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

² My Beloved has gone down to His garden, to the terraces of spices, to feed in the gardens and to gather lilies.

¹¹ I went down to the garden of nut trees, to see the greenery of the ravine, to see whether the vine flowered and the pomegranates budded.

¹¹ Come, my Beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us stay in the villages. ¹² Let us rise up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flowers and the blossom opens, and the pomegranates bud forth. There I will give my loves to You.

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst.

⁷ If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, whatever you desire you will ask, and it shall happen to you.
