¹⁷ I shall see him, but not now; I shall behold him, but not near. A star shall come forth out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel and shall dash the corners of Moab, and break down all the sons of tumult.

²⁵ And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son. And she called his name, Seth, for God has appointed to me another seed in place of Abel because Cain killed him. ²⁶ And a son was also born to Seth, and he called his name, Enos. Then it was begun to call on the name of Jehovah.

³ And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and called his name Seth. ⁴ And the days of Adam after he fathered Seth were eight hundred years. And he fathered sons and daughters. ⁵ And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years. And he died. ⁶ And Seth lived one hundred and five years, and fathered Enos. ⁷ And after he fathered Enos, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years. ¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the lawmaker from between his feet, until Shiloh come, and the obedience of the peoples to him.

²⁹ Woe to you, Moab! You are undone, O people of Chemosh! He has given his sons as fugitives and his daughters into captivity, to Sihon king of the Amorites.

³⁸ And Saul said, All leaders of the people draw near here, and know and see how this sin has happened today.

² And he struck Moab, and measured them with a line; making them to lie down on the ground. And he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. And the Moabites were slaves to David, bearers of a gift.

⁵ And it happened when Ahab died, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

²⁶ And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too strong for him, then he took with him seven hundred men who drew swords to break through to the king of Edom. And they were not able. ²⁷ And he took his son, the firstborn who would reign in his place and caused him to go up for a burnt offering on the wall. And there was great wrath against Israel. And they left him and returned to the land.

² And he struck Moab, and the Moabites became servants to David, bringing a tribute.

²⁵ For I know my Redeemer is living, and He shall rise on the earth at the last; ²⁶ and after my skin has been struck off from my flesh, yet this, I shall see God, ²⁷ whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and no stranger; though my reins be exhausted in my bosom.

⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness.

⁸ He shall also rule from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. ⁹ Those dwelling in the desert will bow before Him, and His enemies will lick the dust. ¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. ¹¹ Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him.

⁷⁰ He also chose His servant David, and took him from the sheepfolds; ⁷¹ He brought him in from the suckling ewes; He brought him to feed His people Jacob, and His inheritance, Israel. ⁷² And he fed them in the integrity of his heart; and guided them in the skillfulness of his hands.

² Jehovah shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion; rule in the midst of Your enemies.

⁷ There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.

¹ The burden of Moab: Because in a night Ar of Moab is laid waste; it is cut off; because in a night Kir of Moab is laid waste; it is cut off. ² One goes up to the house, even to Dibon, the high places, to weep. Moab shall howl over Nebo and over Medeba; all its heads shall be bald, every beard shorn. ³ They shall dress with sackcloth in the streets; everyone shall howl on their housetops and in their plazas, melting in tears. ⁴ And Heshbon and Elealeh shall cry; their voice shall be heard as far as Jahaz; so the warriors of Moab shall shout; his life is broken to him. ⁵ My heart shall cry to Moab; her fugitives to Zoar, a heifer of three years; he goes up the ascent of Luhith with weeping, for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of ruin. ⁶ For Nimrim's waters are desolations; for the hay is dried up; the grass fails; there is not a green thing. ⁷ On account of this one made up the remainder, and their store; they shall carry them over the torrent of the willows. ⁸ For the cry has gone around Moab's borders; his howling even to Eglaim; and his howling even to the Well of Elim. ⁹ For Dimon's waters are full of blood; for I will put more on Dimon, a lion on him who escapes from Moab, and for the remnant of the land.

¹ Send a lamb to the ruler of the land, from the rock of the desert to the mount of the daughter of Zion. ² For it is as a fleeing bird cast out of the nest; the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon. ³ Take counsel; do judgment; make your shadow as the night in midday; hide the outcasts; do not uncover the fugitive! ⁴ Let My outcasts tarry with you, Moab. Be a hiding place to them from the face of the destroyer. For the exacter has ceased, destruction has failed; the trampler is ended out of the land. ⁵ And in mercy the throne shall be founded; and he shall sit on it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking justice, and swift in righteousness. ⁶ We have heard of the pride of Moab, very proud; of his pride, his arrogance, and his rage; not so are his babblings. ⁷ So Moab shall howl for Moab; everyone shall howl; all of it shall howl for the foundations of Kir-hareseth; surely they are stricken. ⁸ For the fields of Heshbon droop, the vine of Sibmah. The masters of the nations have crushed its choice plants. They have come to Jazer; they wander in the desert; her branches are spread out; they have crossed the sea. ⁹ On account of this I will weep with the weeping of Jazer, the vine of Sibmah; I will drench you with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealeh; for shouting has fallen on your fruit and on your harvest. ¹⁰ And gladness and joy is gathered up from the fruitful field; and there is no singing and no shouting in the vineyards; the treaders shall not tread out wine in the presses; I have made the exultation to cease. ¹¹ For this reason my belly shall sound like a harp for Moab, and my inward parts for Kir-haresh. ¹² And it shall be, when it is seen that Moab shall be wearied on the high place, then he shall come to his shrine to pray, and he shall not be able. ¹³ This is the word that Jehovah had spoken to Moab from that time. ¹⁴ But now Jehovah has spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of a hireling, then the glory of Moab will be abased, with all the great host; and the remnant shall be few; small, not mighty.

⁴⁵ Those who fled stood powerless in the shadow of Heshbon, for a fire shall come out of Heshbon, and a flame out of the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the temples of Moab, and the crown of the head of the sons of tumult.

⁴ From Him came the cornerstone, from Him the nail, from Him came the battle bow, and from Him every ruler together.

¹⁰ And I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they shall be bitter over Him, like the bitterness over the first-born.

² saying, Where is He born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him. ³ But Herod the king having heard this, he was troubled and all Jerusalem with him. ⁴ And having gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he asked of them where the Christ was to be born. ⁵ And they said to him, In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it has been written by the prophet, ⁶ "And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judea, in no way are you least among the governors of Judah, for out of you shall come a Governor who shall shepherd My people Israel." Mic. 5:2 ⁷ Then secretly calling the wise men, Herod asked of them exactly the time of the star appearing. ⁸ And sending them to Bethlehem, he said, Having gone, search carefully for the child. And when you find him, bring me word again so that coming I may also worship him. ⁹ And having heard the king, they departed. And, behold! The star which they saw in the east went before them until it had come and stood over where the child was.

³² This One will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. ³³ And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there will be no end.

⁷⁸ through the tender bowels of mercy of our God, in which the Dayspring from on high will visit us,

⁸ but as to the Son, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom;

¹⁹ and we have the more established prophetic word, in which you do well to take heed, as to a lamp shining in a murky place, until day dawns and the Day-star rises in your hearts;

¹¹ Woe to them, because they went the way of Cain, and gave themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the speaking against of Korah!

¹⁴ And "the seventh from Adam," Enoch, also prophesied to these men, saying, Behold, "the Lord came with" myriads "of His saints," ¹⁵ "to do judgment against all, and to rebuke all" the ungodly of them concerning all their ungodly works which :they ungodly" did, "and concerning all the hard things ungodly sinners spoke against Him." I Enoch 1:9; 5:4; 60:8

⁷ "Behold, He comes with the clouds," and "every eye will see Him, and the ones who pierced" Him, and all the tribes of the earth "will wail on account of Him." Yes, Amen. Dan. 7:13; Zech. 12:10

¹⁵ And the seventh angel trumpeted. And there were great voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of the world became our Lord's, even of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever.

¹⁶ I, Jesus, sent My angel to testify these things to you over the churches. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright and morning Star.
