⁷ Woe to the world from its offenses! It is a necessity for the offenses to come, yet woe to that man through whom the offense comes!

⁷ And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram's livestock and the herdsmen of Lot's livestock. And the Canaanite and the Perizzite lived then in the land.

¹⁷ And the sin of the young men was very great before Jehovah, for the men had despised the offering of Jehovah.

²² And Eli was very old, and had heard all that his sons did to Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled by troops at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ²³ And he said to them, Why do you do things like these? For I am hearing of your evil doings from all these people. ²⁴ No my sons, for the report which I am hearing is not good, causing the people of Jehovah to transgress. ²⁵ If a man sins against a man, then God shall judge him. But if a man sins against Jehovah, who shall pray for him? But they did not listen to the voice of their father, because Jehovah desired to execute them.

¹⁴ Only, because you have made the enemies of Jehovah to scorn derisively by this thing, also the son who shall be born to you shall surely die.

⁴¹ The Son of man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all the offenses, and those who practice lawlessness. ⁴² And they will throw them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

¹³ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of Heaven before men; for you do not enter, nor do you allow those entering to go in. ¹⁴ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour the houses of widows, and pray at length as a pretext. Because of this you will receive more abundant judgment. ¹⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you go about the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte; and when he has become so, you make him twofold more a son of Hell than yourselves. ¹⁶ Woe to you, blind guides, who say, Whoever swears by the Holy Place, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the Holy Place is a debtor. ¹⁷ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold, or the Holy Place that sanctifies the gold? ¹⁸ And you say, Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift on it, he is a debtor. ¹⁹ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift? ²⁰ Then the one swearing by the altar swears by it, and by all things on it. ²¹ And the one swearing by the Holy Place swears by it, and by the One dwelling in it. ²² And the one swearing by Heaven swears by the throne of God, and by the One sitting on it. ²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and you have left aside the weightier matters of the Law: judgment, and mercy, and faith. It was right to do these, and not to have left those aside. ²⁴ Blind guides, straining out the gnat, but swallowing the camel! ²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but within they are full of robbery and excess. ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the inside of the cup and of the dish, that the outside of them may become clean also. ²⁷ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened graves which outwardly indeed appear beautiful, but within are full of bones of the dead, and of all uncleanness. ²⁸ So you also indeed outwardly appear righteous to men, but within are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

²⁴ Indeed, the Son of man goes, as it has been written about Him. But woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed. It were good for him if that man was never born.

⁷ But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be disturbed, for it must occur; but the end is not yet.

¹ And He said to the disciples, It is impossible that the offenses should not come, but woe to him by whom they come!

¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name; I guarded those whom You gave to Me, and not one of them was lost, except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

¹⁶ Men, brothers, it was necessary for this Scripture to be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke before by David's mouth concerning Judas, the one having become guide to those seizing Jesus;

¹⁸ Indeed, then, this one bought a field out of the reward of unrighteousness; and falling headlong, he burst in the middle, and poured out all his bowels. ¹⁹ And it became known to all those living in Jerusalem, so as that field to be called in their own dialect, Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood. ²⁰ For it has been written in the scroll of Psalms, Let his estate become forsaken, and he not be living in it. And, "Let another take his overseership." LXX-Psa. 68:26; Psa. 108:8; MT-Psa. 69:25; Psa. 109:8

²³ You who boast in Law, do you dishonor God through transgression of the Law? ²⁴ For the name of God is blasphemed among the nations through you, even as it has been written: Isa. 52:5

¹⁹ For there must also be heresies among you, so that the approved ones may become revealed among you.

³ Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, because that Day will not come unless first comes the falling away, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, ⁴ the one opposing and exalting himself over everything being called God, or object of worship, so as for him "to sit in the temple of God" as God, proclaiming that he himself is God. Dan. 11:36; Eze. 28:2 ⁵ Do you not remember that I told you these things, I yet being with you? ⁶ And now you know the thing holding back, for him to be revealed in his time. ⁷ For the mystery of lawlessness already is working, only he is holding back now, until it comes out of the midst. ⁸ And then "the Lawless One" will be revealed, "whom" "the Lord" "will consume" "by the spirit of His mouth," and He will bring to nought by the brightness of His presence. Isa. 11:4 ⁹ His coming is according to the working of Satan in all power and miracles and lying wonders, ¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God will send to them a working of error, for them to believe the lie, ¹² that all may be judged, those not believing the truth, but who have delighted in unrighteousness.

¹ But the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, cleaving to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons, ² in lying speakers in hypocrisy, being seared in their own conscience, ³ forbidding to marry, saying to abstain from foods, which God created for partaking with thanksgiving by the believers and those knowing the truth.

¹⁴ Therefore, I desire the young women to marry, to bear children, to rule the house, giving no occasion to the adversary on account of reproach. ¹⁵ For some already have turned aside behind Satan.

¹ Let as many as are slaves under a yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name and teaching of God may not be blasphemed.

¹ But know this, that in the last days grievous times will be upon us . ² For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, braggarts, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ³ without natural feeling, unyielding, slanderers, without self-control, savage, haters of good, ⁴ betrayers, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, ⁵ having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it; even turn away from these.

³ For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, they will heap up to themselves teachers tickling the ear; ⁴ and they will turn away the ear from the truth and will be turned aside to myths.

⁵ discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God may not be blasphemed,

⁸ in sound speech, not to be condemned; that he who is opposed may he ashamed, having nothing bad to say about you.

² And many will follow their destructive ways, by whom the way of truth will be evil spoken of. ³ And by covetousness, with well-turned words, they will use you for gain, for whom judgment of old does not linger, and their destruction does not slumber.

¹⁵ forsaking a straight path, they went astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness, ¹⁶ but had reproof of his own transgression, the dumb ass speaking in a man's voice held back the madness of the prophet. ¹⁷ These are springs without water, clouds being driven by tempest, for whom the blackness of darkness is kept forever.

⁴ For certain men crept in secretly, those having been of old marked out to this condemnation, ungodly ones perverting the grace of God for unbridled lust, and denying the only Master, God, even our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹¹ Woe to them, because they went the way of Cain, and gave themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the speaking against of Korah! ¹² These are sunken rocks in your love feasts, feasting together with you, feeding themselves without fear, waterless clouds being carried about by winds, fruitless autumn trees, having died twice, having been plucked up by the roots; ¹³ wild waves of the sea foaming up their shames, wandering stars for whom blackness of darkness has been kept forever.

¹⁴ But I have a few things against you, that you have there those holding the teachings of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat idol sacrifices, and to commit fornication. ¹⁵ So you also have those holding the teaching of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

²⁰ But I have a few things against you, that you allow the woman Jezebel to teach, she saying herself to be a prophetess, and to cause My slaves to go astray, and to commit fornication, and to eat idol sacrifices. ²¹ And I gave time to her that she might repent of her fornication. And she did not repent. ²² Behold, I am throwing her into a bed, and into great affliction those committing adultery with her, unless they repent of their works. ²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches will know that I am the One searching the inner parts and hearts. And I will give to each of you according to your works.

²⁰ And the beast was seized, and with this one the false prophet doing signs before it, by which he led astray those having received the mark of the beast, and those worshiping its image. The two were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest were killed with the sword of the One sitting on the horse, it having gone out of His mouth. And all the birds were filled from their flesh.
