²⁰ These things are the things defiling the man. But eating with unwashed hands does not defile the man.

² Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.

²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but within they are full of robbery and excess. ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the inside of the cup and of the dish, that the outside of them may become clean also.

³ For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they immerse the hands with the fist, holding the tradition of the elders. ⁴ And coming from the market, they do not eat without immersing. And there are many other things which they received to hold: dippings of cups, and of utensils, and of copper vessels, and couches.

³⁸ But watching, the Pharisee marveled that He did not first wash before the dinner. ³⁹ But the Lord said to him, Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but your inside is full of robbery and evil. ⁴⁰ Fools! Did not He who made the outside also make the inside?

¹⁶ Do you not know that you are a sanctuary of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in you? ¹⁷ If anyone corrupts the sanctuary of God, God will bring that one to corruption; for the sanctuary of God is holy, which you are.

⁹ Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin which a man may do is outside the body, but he doing fornication sins against his own body. ¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which you have from God, and you are not of yourselves? ²⁰ You were bought with a price; then glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are of God.

³ But let not fornication, and all uncleanness, or greediness, be named among you, as is fitting for saints; ⁴ also baseness, and foolish talking, or joking (the things not becoming), but rather thanksgiving. ⁵ For be knowing this, that every fornicator, or unclean one, or covetous one, who is an idolater, has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. ⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words, for through these the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience.

⁸ But for the cowardly and unbelieving, and those having become foul, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the lying ones, their part will be in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

²⁷ And all profaning may not at all enter into it, or any making an abomination or a lie; but only the ones having been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb.
