¹ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, ² as it has been written in the Prophets, "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You; ³ the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight." Mal. 3:1; Isa. 40:3 ⁴ John came baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins. ⁵ And all the Judean country and those of Jerusalem went out to him, and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins. ⁶ And John was clothed in camel's hair, and a leather girdle about his loin, and eating locusts and wild honey. ⁷ And he proclaimed, saying, He who comes after me is mightier than I, of whom I am not fit to stoop down to loosen the thong of His sandals. ⁸ I indeed baptized you in water, but He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit. ⁹ And it happened in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. ¹⁰ And going up from the water, immediately He saw the heavens being torn, and the Spirit coming down as a dove upon Him. ¹¹ And there was a voice out of the heavens, You are My Son, the Beloved, in whom I take delight. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1 ¹² And the Spirit at once drove Him out into the wilderness. ¹³ And He was there in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts. And the angels ministered to Him. ¹⁴ And after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom of God, ¹⁵ and saying, The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near. Repent and believe in the gospel. ¹⁶ And walking along beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a small net in the sea; for they were fishers. ¹⁷ And Jesus said to them, Come after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. ¹⁸ And leaving their nets, they immediately followed Him. ¹⁹ And going forward from there a little, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. And they were in the boat mending the nets. ²⁰ And at once He called them. And leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, they went after Him. ²¹ And they passed along into Capernaum. And entering into the synagogue, at once He taught on the sabbaths. ²² And they were astonished at His doctrine, for He was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes. ²³ And a man with an unclean spirit was in their synagogue. And he cried out, ²⁴ saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Nazarene? Have You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God. ²⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet, and come out of him. ²⁶ And the unclean spirit convulsing him, and crying out with a loud voice, he came out of him. ²⁷ And all were astonished, so as to discuss to themselves, saying, What is this? What new teaching is this, that He commands even the unclean spirits with authority, and they obey Him? ²⁸ And His fame went out at once into all the Galilean neighborhood. ²⁹ And at once going out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. ³⁰ And the mother-in-law of Simon was laid out, stricken by fever. And at once they spoke to Him about her. ³¹ And coming near, He raised her up, holding her hand. And the fever left her instantly, and she served them. ³² And evening coming, when the sun set, they brought to Him all those having illness and those having been demon-possessed. ³³ And the whole city was gathered at the door. ³⁴ And He healed many who had illness of various diseases. And he cast out many demons, and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him. ³⁵ And rising up quite early in the night, He went out and went away into a deserted place. And He was praying there. ³⁶ And Simon and those with him searched for Him. ³⁷ And finding Him, they said to Him, All are seeking You. ³⁸ And He said to them, Let us go into the neighboring towns, that I may proclaim there also. For it was for this I came forth. ³⁹ And He was proclaiming in their synagogues in all Galilee, and casting out the demons. ⁴⁰ And a leper came to Him, begging Him, and falling on his knees to Him, and saying to Him, If You will, You are able to make me clean. ⁴¹ And being moved with pity, reaching out the hand, Jesus touched him, and said to him, I am willing. Be made clean! ⁴² And He having spoken, instantly the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean. ⁴³ And strictly warning him, He at once put him out, ⁴⁴ and said to him, See, tell no one a thing, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer what Moses directed concerning your cleansing, for a testimony to them. ⁴⁵ But going out he began to proclaim much, and to spread about the matter, so that He no longer could openly enter into a city. But He was outside in deserted places. And they came to Him from every quarter.

⁷ I will declare concerning the statute of Jehovah: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.

¹⁷ And behold! A voice out of the heaven saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I have found delight. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1

³ And coming near to Him, the Tempter said, If You are the Son of God, speak that these stones may become loaves.

³³ And those in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, Truly, You are the Son of God.

⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold, a radiant cloud overshadowed them. And, behold, a voice out of the cloud saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delight; hear Him. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1; Deut. 18:15

² as those from the beginning delivered to us, becoming eye-witnesses and ministers of the word, ³ it seemed good also to me, having traced out all things accurately from the first, to write in order to you, most excellent Theophilus,

³⁵ And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God.

¹⁰ And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For, behold, I announce good news to you, a great joy, which will be to all people, ¹¹ because today a Savior, who is Christ the Lord, was born to you in the city of David.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth.

³⁴ And I have seen and have witnessed that this One is the Son of God.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

⁶⁹ And we have believed and have known that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

³¹ But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

¹ Indeed, O Theophilus, I made the first report concerning all things which Jesus began both to do and to teach, ² until the day He was taken up, having given directions to the apostles whom He chose, through the Holy Spirit,

¹ Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated to the gospel of God, ² which He promised before through His prophets in holy Scriptures, ³ concerning His Son who came of the seed of David according to flesh, ⁴ who was marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

³ For the law being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,

³² Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not freely give us all things with Him?

¹ In many parts and in many ways of old, God spoke to the fathers in the prophets; ² in these last days He spoke to us in the Son, whom He appointed heir of all; through whom He indeed made the ages;

¹ We announce to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld, and what our hands touched, as regards the Word of Life. ² And the Life was revealed, and we have seen, and we bear witness, and we announce to you the everlasting Life which was with the Father, and was revealed to us. ³ We announce to you what we have seen, and what we have heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

¹¹ And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² The one having the Son has life. The one not having the Son of God does not have life.

⁷ Then I said, Lo, I come, in the roll of the Book it is written of Me;

¹ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

⁵ And they said to him, In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it has been written by the prophet,

¹ Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, ² and saying, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near. ³ For this is he spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!" Isa. 40:3 ⁴ And John himself had his clothing from hairs of a camel, and a belt of leather about his loin. And his food was locusts and wild honey. ⁵ Then Jerusalem and all Judea went out to him, and all the neighborhood of the Jordan, ⁶ and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. ⁷ But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? ⁸ Therefore, bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. ⁹ And do not think to say within yourselves, We have a father, Abraham. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. ¹⁰ But already the axe is even laid at the root of the trees; therefore, any tree not bringing forth good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire. ¹¹ I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

¹⁰ For this is the one about whom it has been written: "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You." Mal. 3:1

²⁴ Indeed, the Son of man goes, as it has been written about Him. But woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed. It were good for him if that man was never born.

³¹ Then Jesus said to them, You all will be offended in Me during this night. For it has been written, "I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered." Zech. 13:7

¹⁵ For he shall be great in the eyes of the Lord, and he shall not drink wine or strong drink. And he will be filled of the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. ¹⁶ And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. ¹⁷ And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah "to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6

⁷⁰ even as He spoke through the mouth of His holy prophets from the age before :

⁷⁶ And you, child, will be called Prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, Mal. 3:1

² upon the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came on John the son of Zacharias in the desert. ³ And he came into the neighborhood of the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins, ⁴ as it has been written in the roll of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: " the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. ⁵ every valley shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made into straight, and the rough into smooth ways;" ⁶ "and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Isa. 40:35 ⁷ Then he said to the crowds going out to be baptized by him, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? ⁸ Then bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham out of these stones. ⁹ And also the axe is already laid to the root of the trees; therefore, every tree not producing good fruit is being cut down and being thrown into the fire. ¹⁰ And the crowd asked him, saying, What then shall we do? ¹¹ And answering, he said to them, The one that has two tunics, let him give to him that has not. And the one that has foods, let him do the same. ¹² And tax collectors also came to be baptized. And they said to him, Teacher, what shall we do? ¹³ And he said to them, Continue to do no more than that commanded to you. ¹⁴ And also ones serving as soldiers asked him, saying, And we, what shall we do? And he said to them, Do not shake violently anyone nor accuse falsely, and be satisfied with your pay. ¹⁵ But the people were expecting, and all reasoning in their hearts about John, lest perhaps he is the Christ, ¹⁶ John answered all, saying, I indeed baptize you with water; but He stronger than I comes, of whom I am not fit to loosen the thong of His sandals. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

²⁷ This is he about whom it has been written: "Behold, I send My messenger" before Your face, who "will prepare Your way before You." Mal. 3:1 ²⁸ For I say to you, Among those born of a woman, no prophet is greater than John the Baptist. But the least one in the kingdom of God is greater than he is.

³¹ And taking the Twelve, He said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things will be fulfilled which have been written through the prophets to the Son of man.

³ The voice of him who cries in the wilderness: Prepare the way of Jehovah; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. ⁴ Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the knoll shall be a level place, and the rough places a plain. ⁵ And the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.

³ For this is he spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!" Isa. 40:3 ⁴ as it has been written in the roll of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: " the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. ⁵ every valley shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made into straight, and the rough into smooth ways;" ⁶ "and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Isa. 40:35

¹⁵ John witnesses concerning Him, and has cried out, saying, This One was He of whom I said, He coming after me has been before me, for He was preceding me.

¹⁹ And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites that they might ask him, Who are you? ²⁰ And he acknowledged and did not deny; yea, he acknowledged, I am not the Christ. ²¹ And they asked him, What, then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not. Are you the Prophet? And he answered, No. ²² Then they said to him, Who are you, that we may give an answer to those sending us? What do you say about yourself? ²³ He said, "I am a voice crying in the wilderness:" "Make straight" "the way of the Lord," as Isaiah the prophet said. Isa. 40:3 ²⁴ And those who had been sent were of the Pharisees. ²⁵ And they asked him and said to him, Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet? ²⁶ John answered them, saying, I baptize in water, but One stands in your midst whom you do not know; ²⁷ This One it is who has come after me, who has been before me, of whom I am not worthy that I should loose the thong of His sandal. ²⁸ These things took place in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. ²⁹ On the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world! ³⁰ This is He about whom I said, After me comes a Man who has been before me, for He was preceding me. ³¹ And I did not know Him; but that He be revealed to Israel, for this reason I came baptizing in water. ³² And John witnessed, saying, I have seen the Spirit coming down as a dove out of Heaven, and He abode on Him. ³³ And I did not know Him, but the One sending me to baptize in water, that One said to me, On whomever you see the Spirit coming down and abiding on Him, this is the One baptizing in the Holy Spirit. ³⁴ And I have seen and have witnessed that this One is the Son of God.

²⁸ You yourselves witness to me that I said, I am not the Christ, but that having been sent, I am going before that One. ²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom, standing and hearing him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. Then this my joy has been fulfilled. ³⁰ That One must increase, but I must decrease. ³¹ The One coming from above is above all. The one being of the earth is earthy, and speaks of the earth. The One coming out of Heaven is above all. ³² And what He has seen and heard, this He testifies, and no one receives His testimony. ³³ The one receiving His testimony has sealed that God is true. ³⁴ For the One whom God sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. ³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. ³⁶ The one believing into the Son has everlasting life; but the one disobeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

¹ Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, ² and saying, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.

⁶ and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

¹¹ I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

⁷⁷ to give a knowledge of salvation to His people by remission of their sins,

² upon the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came on John the son of Zacharias in the desert. ³ And he came into the neighborhood of the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins,

²³ And John was also baptizing in Aenon, near Salim, for many waters were there. And they came and were being baptized.

³⁷ You know the thing that happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed,

²⁴ John going before to proclaim before the face of His entrance a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. ²⁵ And as John fulfilled the course, he said, Whom do you suppose me to be? I am not He, but, behold, "He comes after me, of whom I am not worthy to loosen the sandal of His feet." John 1:27

³ And he said to them, Then to what were you baptized? And they said, To the baptism of John. ⁴ And Paul said, John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe into the One coming after him, that is, into the Christ, Jesus.

¹⁶ And now what do you intend? Rising up, be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

⁴⁰ And if they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass with which they have trespassed against Me; and, also, that they have walked contrary to Me, ⁴¹ I also will walk contrary to them, and I will bring them into the land of their enemies. If their uncircumcised hearts are then humbled, and they then have satisfied for their iniquity; ⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob; and also My covenant with Isaac; and I shall also remember My covenant with Abraham, and I shall remember the land.

¹⁹ And Joshua said to Achan, My son, I beg you, give glory to Jehovah, the God of Israel, and give thanks to Him, and please tell me what you have done. Do not hide it from me.

⁵ I confessed my sin to You, and I have not hidden my iniquity; I said, I will confess over my transgression to Jehovah; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

¹³ He who covers his sins never prospers, but he who confesses and forsakes them shall have pity.

⁵ Then Jerusalem and all Judea went out to him, and all the neighborhood of the Jordan, ⁶ and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

²⁵ And many crowds followed Him from Galilee and Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

²⁸ These things took place in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

³⁸ And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you on the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ And many of those who had believed came confessing, and declaring their deeds.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

²² these are those you may eat: the locusts according to its kind, and the bald locust according to its kind, and the long horned locust according to its kind, and the short horned grasshopper according to its kind.

⁸ And they said to him, A hairy man, and a girdle of leather was girded about his loins. And he said, He is Elijah the Tishbite.

⁴ And it shall be in that day, the prophets shall be ashamed, each one of his vision when he prophesies, and they shall not wear a hairy garment to deceive.

⁴ And John himself had his clothing from hairs of a camel, and a belt of leather about his loin. And his food was locusts and wild honey.

¹⁴ But John restrained Him, saying, I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?

¹⁶ John answered all, saying, I indeed baptize you with water; but He stronger than I comes, of whom I am not fit to loosen the thong of His sandals. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

⁶ And Jesus went with them. But He being yet not far away from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, Lord, do not trouble, for I am not worthy that You come under my roof. ⁷ For this reason I did not count myself worthy to come to You. But say in a word, and let my servant be cured.

²⁷ This One it is who has come after me, who has been before me, of whom I am not worthy that I should loose the thong of His sandal.

²⁸ You yourselves witness to me that I said, I am not the Christ, but that having been sent, I am going before that One. ²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom. ²³ Turn back at my warning; behold, I will pour out my Spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.

¹⁵ until is poured out on us the Spirit from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field; and the fruitful field is reckoned as a forest.

³ For I will pour water on a thirsty place, and floods on the dry ground. I will pour My Spirit on your seed, and My blessing on your offspring.

²⁵ Then I will sprinkle clean waters on you, and you shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your defilement and from all your idols. ²⁶ And I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give to you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments and do them .

²⁸ And it shall be afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.

⁵ for John indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days after."

⁴ And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave ability to them to speak.

¹⁷ "And it shall be" in the last days, God says, "I will pour from My Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy;" "and your young men shall see visions," "and your old men shall dream dreams;"

⁴⁵ And the faithful of the circumcision were amazed, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out on the nations also.

¹⁵ And in my beginning to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, as also on us in the beginning. ¹⁶ And I recalled the Word of the Lord, how He said, John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

⁴ And Paul said, John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe into the One coming after him, that is, into the Christ, Jesus. ⁵ And hearing, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. ⁶ And Paul laying hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in languages and prophesied.

¹³ For also we all were baptized by one Spirit into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, even all were given to drink into one Spirit.

⁵ not by works in righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ, our Savior;

²³ And coming, he lived in a city called Nazareth, so as to fulfill that spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene. No OT passage

¹ Behold My Servant; I will uphold Him; My Elect in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit on Him; He shall bring forth justice to the nations.

¹ Oh that You would tear the heavens and come down, that mountains would quake before You.

¹⁶ And having been baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water. And, behold! The heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God coming down as a dove, and coming upon Him.

²² and the Holy Spirit came down in a bodily form as a dove upon Him. And there was a voice out of Heaven, saying, You are My Son, the Beloved; I am delighted in You. Psa. 2:7; Gen 22:2; Isa. 42:1

⁷ And a cloud was overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son," the Beloved; hear Him. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Deut. 18:15

³⁵ And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, the Beloved; hear Him! Psa. 2:7; Isa. 42:1; Deut. 18:15

²⁰ For the Father loves the Son and shows to Him all things which He does. And He will show Him greater works than these in order that you may marvel. ²¹ For even as the Father raises the dead, and gives life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills. ²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him.

³⁷ And the Father, He sending Me, has Himself borne witness concerning Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor have you seen His form.

²⁸ Father, glorify Your name. Then a voice came out of the heaven: I both glorified it, and I will glorify it again. ²⁹ Then standing and hearing, the crowd said that thunder occurred. Others said, An angel has spoken to Him. ³⁰ Jesus answered and said, This voice has not occurred because of Me, but because of you.

⁴ who was marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

¹³ who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

¹⁷ For receiving honor and glory from God the Father such a voice being borne to Him from the magnificent glory, "This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I was well pleased," Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1; Matt. 17:5 ¹⁸ even we heard this voice being borne out of Heaven, being with Him in the holy mountain,

¹ Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit, to be tempted by the Devil. ² And having fasted forty days and forty nights, afterwards He hungered. ³ And coming near to Him, the Tempter said, If You are the Son of God, speak that these stones may become loaves. ⁴ But answering, He said, It has been written: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word going out of the mouth of God." Deut. 8:3 ⁵ Then the Devil takes Him to the holy city, and he set Him on the wing of the temple. ⁶ And he said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it has been written: "He shall give His angels charge concerning You, and they shall bear You on their hands, lest You strike Your foot against a stone." LXX-Psa. 90:11, 12; MT-Psa. 91:11, 12 ⁷ Jesus said to him, Again it has been written: "You shall not tempt the Lord your God." Deut. 6:16 ⁸ Again the Devil takes Him to a very high mountain, and he showed to Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. ⁹ And he said to Him. I will give all these things to You if falling down, You will worship me. ¹⁰ Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it has been written: "You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve Him only." Deut. 6:13 ¹¹ Then the Devil left Him. And behold! Angels came near and ministered to Him.

¹ And full of the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. ² forty days, being tested by the Devil. And He ate nothing in those days, and they being ended, He afterwards hungered. ³ And the Devil said to Him, If You are Son of God, speak to this stone that it become a loaf. ⁴ And Jesus answered to him, saying, It has been written: "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word of God." Deut. 8:3 ⁵ And leading Him up into a high mountain, the Devil showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. ⁶ And the Devil said to Him, I will give all this authority and their glory to You, because it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. ⁷ Then if You worship before me, all will be Yours. ⁸ And answering, to him, Jesus said, Get behind Me, Satan! For it has been written: "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve." Deut. 6:13 ⁹ And he led Him to Jerusalem, and stood Him on the wing of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here; ¹⁰ for it has been written: "He will command His angels about You, even to protect You," ¹¹ "that on their hands they shall bear You, lest you strike Your foot against a stone." LXX-Psa. 90:11, 12; MT-Psa. 91:11, 12 ¹² And answering, Jesus said to him, It has been said: "You shall not tempt the Lord your God." Deut. 6:16 ¹³ And having finished every temptation, the Devil departed from Him until a time.

¹⁸ And Moses came into the midst of the cloud, and he went up into the mountain. And Moses was in the mountain forty days and forty nights.

²⁸ And he was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread and he did not drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

¹¹ then it happened, at the end of forty days and forty nights Jehovah gave the two tablets of stone to me, tablets of the covenant,

¹⁸ And I fell down before Jehovah, as at the first, forty days and forty nights; I ate no bread and drank no water; because of all your sins which you had sinned, in doing that which was evil in the eyes of Jehovah, to make Him angry.

²⁵ And I fell down before Jehovah the forty days and the forty nights as I had thrown myself down before, for Jehovah had said to destroy you.

⁵ And he lay down and slept under a certain broom tree; and behold, an angel touched him and said to him, Get up, eat! ⁶ And he looked, and behold, at his head was a cake on burning stones, and a jar of water; and he ate and drank, and turned and lay down. ⁷ And the angel of Jehovah returned a second time, and touched him, and said, Get up, eat, for the way is too great for you. ⁸ And he rose up and ate and drank, and went in the power of that food forty days and forty nights to the mount of God, Horeb.

⁵³ Or do you think that I am not able now to call on My Father, and He will place beside Me more than twelve legions of angels?

¹⁶ And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

¹⁷ For this reason He ought by all means to become like His brothers, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things respecting God, in order to make propitiation for the sins of His people. ¹⁸ For in what He has suffered, being tried, He is able to help those having been tried.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest not being able to sympathize with our weaknesses but One having been tried in all respects according to our likeness, apart from sin.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me, because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the meek. He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and complete opening to the bound ones; ² to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; ³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of the spirit of infirmity, so that one calls them trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, in order to beautify Himself.

¹² But Jesus hearing that John was delivered up, He withdrew into Galilee.

²³ And Jesus went around all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every one of the illnesses among the people.

³⁵ And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every weakness of body among the people.

² But hearing in the prison of the works of Christ, sending two of his disciples,

² And he said to his servants, This is John the Baptist. He has risen from the dead, and because of this, powerful works are working in him.

²⁰ he also added this above all, he even shut up John in the prison.

¹⁷ And the scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. And unrolling the book, He found the place where it was written: ¹⁸ " The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. Because of this He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me" to heal the brokenhearted, "to preach remission to captives and new sight to the blind," to send away the ones having been crushed in deliverance, ¹⁹ "to preach an acceptable year of the Lord." Isa. 61:1, 2

⁴³ But He said to them, It is right for Me to preach the gospel, the kingdom of God, to the other cities, because I was sent on this mission . ⁴⁴ And He was proclaiming in the synagogues of Galilee.

¹ And it happened afterwards, even He traveled in every city and village, preaching and announcing the gospel of the kingdom of God. And the Twelve were with Him;

²² After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea. And He continued there with them and baptized. ²³ And John was also baptizing in Aenon, near Salim, for many waters were there. And they came and were being baptized. ²⁴ For John had not yet been thrown into the prison.

²⁵ And now, behold, I know that you all will see my face no more, among whom I went about proclaiming the kingdom of God.

²³ And having appointed him a day, more came to him in the lodging, to whom he expounded, earnestly testifying the kingdom of God and persuading them the things concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning until evening.

¹⁷ And coming, He proclaimed "peace to you, the ones afar off, and to the ones near." Isa. 57:19

⁴⁴ And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other people. It shall break in pieces and destroy all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

²⁵ Know, then, and understand that from the going out of a word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction.

² and saying, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.

⁷ And going on, proclaim, saying, The kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.

³¹ Which of the two did the will of the father? They said to Him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, the tax collectors and the harlots go before you into the kingdom of God. ³² For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. But the tax-collectors and the harlots believed him. And seeing, you did not repent afterwards to believe him.

⁹ And heal the sick in it, and say to them, The kingdom of God has drawn near to you.

¹¹ Even the dust clinging to us out of your city, we shake off against you! Yet know this, that the kingdom of God has drawn near to you!

⁴⁷ And repentance and remission of sins must be preached on His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

³⁶ Then assuredly, let all the house of Israel acknowledge that God made Him both Lord and Christ, this same Jesus whom you crucified. ³⁷ And hearing, they were stabbed in the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men, brothers, What shall we do? ³⁸ And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you on the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

²¹ earnestly testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁶ but now has been made plain, and by prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law,

¹⁰ for the administration of the fullness of the times to head up all things in Christ, both the things in the heavens, and the things on earth, in Him,

²⁵ in meekness teaching those who have opposed, if perhaps God may give them repentance for a full knowledge of the truth, ²⁶ and they may awake out of the snare of the Devil, having been taken captive by him, so as to do the will of that one.

¹⁸ And walking beside the sea of Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers. ¹⁹ And He says to them, Come after Me, and I will make you fishers of men. ²⁰ And leaving the nets, they immediately followed Him. ²¹ And going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. And He called them. ²² And at once leaving the boat and their father, they followed Him.

² And the names of the twelve apostles are these: First, Simon who is called Peter and his brother Andrew, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John,

¹⁶ And walking along beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a small net in the sea; for they were fishers. ¹⁷ And Jesus said to them, Come after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. ¹⁸ And leaving their nets, they immediately followed Him. ¹⁹ And going forward from there a little, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. And they were in the boat mending the nets. ²⁰ And at once He called them. And leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, they went after Him.

¹⁶ And He put on Simon the name Peter.

¹⁸ Also He appointed Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alpheus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,

¹ And it happened that the crowd was pressing on Him to hear the Word of God. And He was standing by Lake Gennesaret. ² And He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had left them and were washing the nets. ³ And entering into one of the boats, which was Simon's, He asked him to put out a little from the land. And sitting down, He taught the crowd from the boat. ⁴ And as He quit speaking, He said to Simon, Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a haul. ⁵ And answering, Simon said to Him, Master, laboring all through the night we took nothing. But at Your word I will let down the net. ⁶ And doing this, they netted a great multitude of fish; and their net was being torn. ⁷ And they signaled the partners, those in the other boat, to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they were sinking. ⁸ And seeing, Simon Peter fell at the knees of Jesus, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord. ⁹ For astonishment took hold of him, and all those with him, at the haul of fish which they took; ¹⁰ and in the same way also, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Do not fear. From now on you will be taking men alive. ¹¹ And bringing the boats down onto the land, forsaking all things, they followed Him.

¹⁴ Simon, whom He also named Peter; and his brother Andrew; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;

⁴⁰ Andrew the brother of Simon Peter was one of the two who heard from John and was following Him. ⁴¹ This one first found his own brother Simon and tells him, We have found the Messiah (which being translated is, the Christ). ⁴² And he led him to Jesus. And looking at him, Jesus said, You are Simon the son of Jonah; you shall be called Cephas (which translated is Peter).

⁸ One of His disciples said to Him, Andrew the brother of Simon Peter,

²² Philip came and told Andrew, and again Andrew and Philip told Jesus.

¹³ And when they went in, they went up to the upper room where they were waiting: both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James.

¹⁰ And it will be, the fishermen shall stand on it; from En-gedi even to En-eglaim, a spreading place for nets shall be there; their fish shall be by its kind, like the fish of the Great Sea, very many.

¹⁹ And He says to them, Come after Me, and I will make you fishers of men. ²⁰ And leaving the nets, they immediately followed Him.

¹⁰ and in the same way also, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Do not fear. From now on you will be taking men alive.

³⁸ And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you on the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all those afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call. ⁴⁰ And with many other words he earnestly testified and exhorted, saying, Be saved from this perverse generation. ⁴¹ Then those who gladly welcomed his words were baptized. And about three thousand souls were added that day.

²⁷ Then answering, Peter said to Him, Behold, we left all things and followed You. What then shall be to us? ²⁸ And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, You who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of man sits on the throne of His glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ²⁹ And everyone who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. ³⁰ But many first ones shall be last, and last ones first.

²⁸ And Peter began to say to Him, Behold, we left all and followed You. ²⁹ But answering, Jesus said, Truly I say to you, There is no one who forsook house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My sake and the gospel, ³⁰ that will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the coming age, eternal life. ³¹ But many first shall be last, and the last shall be first.

¹¹ And bringing the boats down onto the land, forsaking all things, they followed Him.

³³ So then every one of you who does not abandon all his possessions is not able to be My disciple.

²⁸ And Peter said, Behold, we left all and followed You. ²⁹ And He said to them, Truly I say to you, There is no one who has left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, ³⁰ who shall not receive many times more in this time, and in the age that is coming, everlasting life.

⁸ But, nay, rather I also count all things to be loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them to be trash, that I might gain Christ

²¹ And going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. And He called them.

¹⁷ And on James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, He put on them the names Boanerges, which is, Sons of Thunder.

³⁷ And He did not allow anyone to go with Him except Peter and James and John, the brother of James.

² And after six days Jesus takes along Peter and James and John, and leads them into a high mount apart, alone. And He was transfigured before them.

³⁵ And coming up to Him, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, said, Teacher, we desire that whatever we may ask You would do for us.

³³ And He took along Peter and James and John with Him. And He began to be much amazed and to be deeply troubled.

² And with a sword he did away with James the brother of John.

⁹ who said of his father and his mother, I have not seen him. And he has not acknowledged his brothers, and did not know his own son, for they have kept Your word, and observed Your covenant.

²⁰ And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you. And he said to him, Go back; for what have I done to you?

²¹ And another of His disciples said to Him, Lord, allow me first to go away and bury my father. ²² But Jesus said to him, Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead.

³⁷ He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

²⁹ But answering, Jesus said, Truly I say to you, There is no one who forsook house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My sake and the gospel,

²⁶ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers and sisters, and besides, even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.

¹⁶ So as we now know no one according to flesh, but even if we have known Christ according to flesh, yet now we no longer know Him so .

¹³ And leaving Nazareth, coming He lived at Capernaum, beside the sea in the districts of Zebulun and Naphtali,

³⁹ And He was proclaiming in their synagogues in all Galilee, and casting out the demons.

¹ And again He entered into Capernaum after some days. And it was heard that He was in a house.

² And a sabbath occurring, He began to teach in the synagogue. And hearing, many were amazed, saying, From where came these things to this one? And what is the wisdom given to him, that even such works of power come about through his hands?

¹ And rising up from there, He came into the borders of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And again crowds came together to Him, and as He usually did, He again taught them.

¹⁶ And He came to Nazareth where He was brought up. And as was His custom, He went in on the day of the sabbaths, into the synagogue, and He stood up to read.

³¹ And He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And He was teaching them on the sabbaths. ³² And they were astonished at His doctrine, because His word was with authority. ³³ And in the synagogue was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice, ³⁴ saying, Aha! What is to us and to You, Jesus, Nazarene? Did You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God. ³⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out from him! And throwing him into the midst, the demon came out from him, not harming him. ³⁶ And astonishment came on all. And they spoke with one another, saying, What word is this, that He commands the unclean spirits with authority and power, and they come out? ³⁷ And a report about Him went out into every place of the neighborhood.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum, were you not exalted to the heaven? "You will be thrust down to Hades!" Isa. 14:13, 15

¹⁰ And He was teaching in one of the synagogues on one of the sabbaths.

¹⁴ But going through from Perga, they came to Antioch-Pisidia, and going into the synagogue on the day of the sabbaths, they sat down. ¹⁵ And after the reading of the Law, and of the Prophets, the synagogue rulers sent to them, saying, Men, brothers, if there is a word of exhortation to the people, speak. ¹⁶ And rising up, and signaling with his hand, Paul said: Men, Israelites, and the ones fearing God, listen. ¹⁷ The God of this people Israel chose out our fathers, and exalted the people in their stay in the land of Egypt. And with a high arm, He led them out of it. ¹⁸ And as forty years time passed, He tenderly bore them in the wilderness. Deut. 1:31 ¹⁹ And He pulled down seven nations in Canaan land, and gave their land to them as an inheritance. Deut. 7:1 ²⁰ And after these things, as four hundred and fifty years passed, He gave judges until Samuel the prophet. ²¹ And from there they asked for a king. And God gave Saul the son of Kish to them, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. ²² And removing him, He raised up to them David for a king, to whom He also said, witnessing, "I found David" the son of Jesse " to be a man according to My own heart, who will do all My will." 1 Samuel 13:14; Psa. 89:20; LXX-Isa. 44:28 ²³ Of the seed of this one, according to promise, God raised up to Israel a Savior, Jesus; ²⁴ John going before to proclaim before the face of His entrance a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. ²⁵ And as John fulfilled the course, he said, Whom do you suppose me to be? I am not He, but, behold, "He comes after me, of whom I am not worthy to loosen the sandal of His feet." John 1:27 ²⁶ Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and the ones among you fearing God, to you the word of this salvation was sent. ²⁷ For those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their rulers, not having known this One, and the voices of the prophets being read throughout every sabbath, condemning Him, they fulfilled the Scriptures . ²⁸ And finding not one cause of death, they asked Pilate to do away with Him. ²⁹ And when they finished all the things having been written concerning Him, taking Him down from the tree, they laid Him in a tomb. ³⁰ But God raised Him from the dead; ³¹ who appeared for many days to those coming up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are witnesses of Him to the people. ³² And we preach the gospel to you, the promise made to the fathers, ³³ that this God has fulfilled to us, their children, raising up Jesus; as also it has been written in the second Psalm, "You are My Son, today I have begotten You." Psa. 2:7 ³⁴ And that He raised Him from the dead, no more being about to return to corruption, so He has said, "I will give You" "the holy things of faithful David." Isa. 55:3 ³⁵ So He also said in another, "You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption." LXX-Psa. 15:10; MT-Psa. 16:10 ³⁶ For having served his own generation by the counsel of God, David truly fell asleep and was added to his fathers and saw corruption. 1 Kg. 2:10 ³⁷ But He whom God raised up, this One did not see corruption. ³⁸ Then let it be known to you, men, brothers, that through this One remission of sin is announced to you. ³⁹ And everyone believing in this One is justified from all things which you could not be justified by the Law of Moses. ⁴⁰ Then watch that the thing spoken in the Prophets may not come on you: ⁴¹ "Behold, you despisers," "and marvel," "and perish, because I work a work in your days," a work which you would "in no way believe if anyone declares it to you." Hab. 1:5 ⁴² But the Jews having gone out of the synagogue, the nations begged that these words be spoken to them on the next sabbath. ⁴³ And the synagogue being broken up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who speaking to them persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. ⁴⁴ And in the coming sabbath, almost all the city was gathered to hear the Word of God. ⁴⁵ And the Jews seeing the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and contradicted the things being spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. ⁴⁶ But speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, It was necessary for the Word of God to be spoken first to you; but since you indeed thrust it away and judge yourselves not worthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the nations. ⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded us, "I have set You for a Light of nations, that You be for salvation to the end of the earth." Isa. 49:6 ⁴⁸ And hearing, the nations rejoiced and glorified the Word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. ⁴⁹ And the Word of the Lord was carried through all the country. ⁵⁰ But the Jews excited the devout and honorable women, and the chief ones of the city, and raised up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out from their borders. ⁵¹ But these shaking off the dust of their feet on them, they came into Iconium. ⁵² And the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.

² And according to Paul's custom, he went in to them and reasoned with them from the Scriptures on three sabbaths,

⁴ And he reasoned in the synagogue on every sabbath persuading both Jews and Greeks.

²⁹ Is not My word thus like fire, says Jehovah, and like a hammer which breaks a rock in pieces?

²⁸ And it happened, when Jesus had finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at His doctrine. ²⁹ For He was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

⁵⁴ And coming into His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Where did this one get this wisdom, and the powerful works?

¹⁶ Woe to you, blind guides, who say, Whoever swears by the Holy Place, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the Holy Place is a debtor. ¹⁷ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold, or the Holy Place that sanctifies the gold? ¹⁸ And you say, Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift on it, he is a debtor. ¹⁹ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift? ²⁰ Then the one swearing by the altar swears by it, and by all things on it. ²¹ And the one swearing by the Holy Place swears by it, and by the One dwelling in it. ²² And the one swearing by Heaven swears by the throne of God, and by the One sitting on it. ²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and you have left aside the weightier matters of the Law: judgment, and mercy, and faith. It was right to do these, and not to have left those aside. ²⁴ Blind guides, straining out the gnat, but swallowing the camel!

³ For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they immerse the hands with the fist, holding the tradition of the elders. ⁴ And coming from the market, they do not eat without immersing. And there are many other things which they received to hold: dippings of cups, and of utensils, and of copper vessels, and couches. ⁵ Then the Pharisees and scribes questioned Him, Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands? ⁶ And answering, He said to them, Well did Isaiah prophesy concerning you, hypocrites; as it has been written: "This people honors Me with the lips, but their heart is far away from Me; ⁷ and in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men." Isa. 29:13 ⁸ For forsaking the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men: dippings of utensils and cups, and many other such like things you do. ⁹ And He said to them, Do you do well to set aside the commandment of God so that you may keep your tradition? ¹⁰ For Moses said, "Honor your father and your mother;" Ex. 20:12; Deut. 5:16 and, "The one speaking evil of father or mother, let him expire by death." Ex. 21:17 ¹¹ But you say, If a man says to his father or mother, Corban, (which is, A gift!) whatever you may profit by me. ¹² And you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or mother, ¹³ making the Word of God of no effect by your tradition which you delivered. And many such like things you do.

³² And they were astonished at His doctrine, because His word was with authority.

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all those opposing you will not be able to withstand or contradict.

⁴⁶ The officers answered, Never did a man so speak as does this man.

¹⁰ And they had no strength to stand against the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

²¹ And all those hearing were amazed and said, Is this not the one destroying those who have called on this Name in Jerusalem, and he had come here for this, that binding them he might lead them before the chief priests? ²² But Saul was more filled with power, and he confounded the Jews living in Damascus, proving that this One is the Christ.

² But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the word of God, but by the revelation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.

¹² For the word of God is living, and powerfully working, and sharper than every two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge of the thoughts and intentions of the heart; ¹³ and there is no creature unrevealed before Him; but all things are naked and laid open to His eyes, with whom is our account.

⁴³ But when the unclean spirit goes from a man, he goes through dry places seeking rest and does not find it .

³⁴ And He healed many who had illness of various diseases. And he cast out many demons, and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.

² And He coming out from the boat, immediately out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit met Him,

²⁵ For hearing about Him, a woman came up, one whose daughter had an unclean spirit. And she fell down at His feet.

²⁵ And seeing that a crowd is running together, Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, Come out from him, and you may no more go into him!

¹² Is this not the word which we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, Go away from us, and let us serve the Egyptians. For it is better for us to serve the Egyptians, than to die in the wilderness.

¹⁰ For You will not leave My soul in Sheol; You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption.

¹⁸ For Jehovah is our shield, yea, the Holy One of Israel our King. ¹⁹ Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one; and You said, I have laid help on a mighty one. I have exalted a chosen one from the people.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people, and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.

²⁹ And, behold! They cried out, saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here beforetime to torment us?

⁷ And crying with a loud voice, he said, What is to me and to You, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure You by God, do not torment me.

³⁴ saying, Aha! What is to us and to You, Jesus, Nazarene? Did You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God.

²⁸ And seeing Jesus, and crying out, he fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, What to me and to You, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I beg You, do not torment me.

³⁷ And all the multitude of the neighborhood of the Gadarenes were seized with a great fear. And they asked Him to depart from them. And entering into the boat, He returned.

¹⁹ And He said to them, What things? And they said to Him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a man, a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;

²⁷ because You will not leave My soul in Hades, nor will You give Your Holy One to see corruption.

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a man, a murderer, to be granted to you.

²⁷ For truly both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed,

⁵ For finding this man pestilent and moving insurrection among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the Nazarene sect;

¹⁹ You believe that God is one. You do well; even the demons believe and shudder.

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write: These things says the Holy One, the True One, the One having "the key of David," "the One opening, and no one shuts; and shuts, and no one opens:" Isa. 22:22

¹⁶ But to the wicked, God says, What is it to you to proclaim My statutes, and to take up My covenant on your mouth?

¹¹ And when the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him, and cried out, saying, You are the Son of God! ¹² And he warned them very much that they should not reveal Him.

³⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out from him! And throwing him into the midst, the demon came out from him, not harming him.

⁴¹ And also demons came out from many, crying out and saying, You are the Christ, the Son of God! And rebuking them, He did not allow them to speak, for they knew Him to be the Christ.

¹⁷ Following after Paul and us, she cried out, saying, These men are slaves of the Most High God, who are announcing to us a way of salvation!

²⁰ And they brought him to Him. And seeing Him, the spirit immediately convulsed him. And falling on the ground, he wallowed, foaming.

²⁶ And crying out, and convulsing him very much, it came out. And he became as if dead, so as for many to say that he died.

³⁹ And, behold, a spirit takes him, and he suddenly cries out, and it throws him into convulsions, with foaming. And it departs from him with pain, bruising him.

⁴² But as he was yet coming up, the demon tore him and violently convulsed him . But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

²² But as soon as one stronger than he comes, he overcomes him; he takes away his armor on which he relied, and deals out his arms.

³³ And the demon being cast out, the dumb one spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, Never was it seen this way in Israel.

²² Then one having been demon-possessed was brought to Him, blind and dumb. And He healed him, so that the blind and dumb one could both speak and see. ²³ And all the crowds were amazed, and said, Is this not the son of David?

³¹ so that the crowds marveled, seeing the dumb speaking, the maimed sound, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.

³⁷ And they were most exceedingly amazed, saying, He has done all things well. He makes even the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

²⁴ And the disciples were astonished at His words. And answering again, Jesus said to them, Children, how hard it is for those trusting on riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

³² And they were in the highway, going up to Jerusalem. And Jesus was going before them, and following they were astonished and were afraid. And taking the Twelve again, He began to tell them the things about to happen to Him:

³⁶ And astonishment came on all. And they spoke with one another, saying, What word is this, that He commands the unclean spirits with authority and power, and they come out?

¹ And having called together His twelve disciples, He gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to heal diseases.

¹⁷ And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your Name. ¹⁸ And He said to them, I saw Satan falling out of Heaven as lightning! ¹⁹ Behold, I have given you the authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and on all the power of the Enemy, and nothing shall hurt you, not at all ²⁰ But stop rejoicing in this, that the evil spirits submit to you. But rather rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.

⁴ And He shall stand and feed in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah His God. And they shall sit, for now He is great to the ends of the earth.

²⁴ And the report of Him went out into all Syria. And they brought to Him all the ones having illness, suffering various diseases and torments, also those having been demon-possessed, and those having been moonstruck, and paralytics; and He healed them.

³¹ But going out, they made Him known in all that land.

⁴⁵ But going out he began to proclaim much, and to spread about the matter, so that He no longer could openly enter into a city. But He was outside in deserted places. And they came to Him from every quarter.

¹⁷ And the scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. And unrolling the book, He found the place where it was written:

³⁷ And a report about Him went out into every place of the neighborhood.

¹⁴ And coming to the house of Peter, Jesus saw his mother-in-law laid out and in a fever. ¹⁵ And He touched her hand, and her fever left her. And she rose up and served them.

²¹ And they passed along into Capernaum. And entering into the synagogue, at once He taught on the sabbaths.

²³ And a man with an unclean spirit was in their synagogue. And he cried out,

³⁸ And rising up from the synagogue, He went into the house of Simon. And the mother-in-law of Simon was being seized with a great fever. And they asked Him concerning her. ³⁹ And standing over her, He rebuked the fever; and it left her. And rising up instantly, she served them.

⁵⁸ And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven nests, but the Son of man has nowhere He may lay His head.

²³ And he begged Him very much, saying, My daughter is at the last end. I pray that You will come and lay hands on her, that she may be cured and live.

³ Then the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, the one whom You love is sick.

⁵ Have we not authority to lead about a sister, a wife, as the rest of the apostles also, and Cephas, and the Lord's brothers do ?

¹⁴ Is any among you sick? Let him call the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will cure those being sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he may have committed sin, it will be forgiven him.

¹ Of David. Bless Jehovah, O my soul; and all within me, bless His holy name. ² Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all His rewards; ³ who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;

¹² What shall I return to Jehovah for His benefits to me?

⁵⁵ And many women were there, watching from afar off, those who followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to Him;

⁴¹ And taking hold of the child's hand, He said to her, Talitha koumi; which is, being translated, Little girl, I say to you, Rise up!

⁴¹ who also followed Him and ministered to Him when He was in Galilee; and many other women who came up to Jerusalem with Him.

² also certain women who were healed from evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, having been called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, ³ and Joanna, wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who were ministering to Him of their possessions.

⁴¹ And giving her a hand he raised her up. And calling the saints and the widows he presented her living.

¹⁶ And evening having come on, they brought to Him many having been possessed by demons. And He cast out the spirits by a word, and He healed all those having illness,

² And they watched Him, whether He will heal him on the sabbaths, that they might accuse Him.

⁴⁰ And the sun sinking, all, as many as had sick ones with various diseases, brought them to Him. And laying hands on each one of them, He healed them.

⁵ And all the Judean country and those of Jerusalem went out to him, and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.

⁴⁴ And in the coming sabbath, almost all the city was gathered to hear the Word of God.

²⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet, and come out of him.

¹² And he warned them very much that they should not reveal Him.

¹⁶ And it happened, as we went into a place of prayer, a certain girl slave having a Pythonic spirit met us, whose divining brought much gain to her lords. ¹⁷ Following after Paul and us, she cried out, saying, These men are slaves of the Most High God, who are announcing to us a way of salvation! ¹⁸ And she did this over many days. But becoming distressed, and turning to the demonic spirit, Paul said, In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out from her! And it came out in that same hour.

³ You will hear my voice in the morning, O Jehovah, I will set myself for You in the morning, and I will look up.

⁴ In return for my love, they are my enemies; but I am in prayer.

²³ And having dismissed the crowds, He went up into the mountain alone to pray. And evening coming on, He was there alone.

⁴⁶ And taking leave of them, He went away to the mountain to pray. ⁴⁷ And it becoming evening, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and He alone on the land. ⁴⁸ And He saw them being distressed in the rowing, for the wind was contrary to them. And it was about the fourth watch of the night when He came toward them, walking on the sea. And He willed to go by them.

⁴² And day coming, going out, He went into a deserted place. And the crowds looked for Him, and came up to Him, and held Him fast, not to pass away from them. ⁴³ But He said to them, It is right for Me to preach the gospel, the kingdom of God, to the other cities, because I was sent on this mission .

¹⁶ But He was drawing back in a deserted place, and praying.

¹² And it happened in these days, He went out into the mountain to pray. And He was spending the night in prayer to God.

³⁹ And going out, according to His custom, He went to the Mount of Olives; and His disciples also followed Him. ⁴⁰ And having come on the place, He said to them, Pray you will not enter into temptation. ⁴¹ And He was withdrawn from them, about a stone's throw. And placing the knees, He prayed, ⁴² saying, Father, if You will, take away this cup from Me; but let not My will be done, but Your will . ⁴³ And an angel from Heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. ⁴⁴ And being in an agony, He prayed more intently. And His sweat became as drops of blood falling down onto the earth. ⁴⁵ And rising up from the prayer, coming to His disciples, He found them sleeping from grief. ⁴⁶ And He said to them, Why do you sleep? Rising up, pray that you do not enter into temptation.

³⁴ Jesus said to them, My food is that I should do the will of Him who sent Me, and that I may finish His work.

¹⁵ Then knowing that they were about to come and seize Him, that they might make Him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain alone by Himself.

¹⁸ through all prayer and petition, praying at every time in the Spirit, and watching to this same thing with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints.

⁵ For let this mind be in you which also was in Christ Jesus,

⁷ who in the days of His flesh was offering both petitions and entreaties to Him being able to save Him from death, with strong crying and tears, and being heard from His godly fear;

¹¹ And it was broken in that day, and so the poor of the flock who were watching Me knew that it was the word of Jehovah.

²⁶ And they came to John and said to him, Teacher, the one who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have witnessed, behold, this one baptizes, and all are coming to Him.

⁴⁸ If we let him alone this way, all will believe into him, and the Romans will come and will take away from us both the place and the nation.

¹⁹ Then the Pharisees said to themselves, Observe that you gain nothing. Behold, the world has gone after Him.

⁴⁹ And He said to them, Why did you look for me? Did you not know that I must be busy in the affairs of My Father?

¹⁸ " The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. Because of this He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me" to heal the brokenhearted, "to preach remission to captives and new sight to the blind," to send away the ones having been crushed in deliverance, ¹⁹ "to preach an acceptable year of the Lord." Isa. 61:1, 2 ²⁰ And rolling up the scroll, returning it to the attendant, He sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. ²¹ And He began to say to them, Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your ears.

⁴³ But He said to them, It is right for Me to preach the gospel, the kingdom of God, to the other cities, because I was sent on this mission .

⁴ It is necessary for Me to work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night comes when no one is able to work.

²⁸ I came out from the Father and have come into the world; I leave the world again and go to the Father.

⁴ I have glorified You on the earth. I finished the work that You gave Me to do.

⁸ For the words which You gave to Me, I have given to them. And they received and truly knew that I came out from beside You, and they believed that You sent Me.

³⁰ And going away to her house, she found the demon had gone out, and her daughter was laid on the couch.

¹⁴ Is anything too difficult for Jehovah? At the appointed time I will return to you, at the time of life, and there will be a son to Sarah.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, ² When a man has a rising in the skin of his flesh, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it shall become in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought in to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons the priests. ³ And the priest shall look upon the plague in the skin of the flesh; and if the hair in the plague has turned white, and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy, and the priest shall look upon him and shall pronounce him unclean. ⁴ And if the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and its hair has not turned white, then the priest shall shut up the plague seven days. ⁵ And he priest shall look on him on the seventh day, and, behold, if the plague stays in its appearance, and the plague has not spread in the skin, then the priest shall shut him up seven more days. ⁶ And the priest shall look upon him again the seventh day; and, behold, if the plague has become dim, and the plague has not spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean; it is a scab, and he shall wash his garments and shall be clean. ⁷ But if the scab spreads greatly in the skin, after he has been seen by the priest for his cleansing, then he shall be seen a second time by the priest. ⁸ And the priest shall look, and, behold, if the scab has spread in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is leprosy. ⁹ When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought in to the priest. ¹⁰ And the priest shall look, and, behold, if a white rising is in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and a living flesh is in the swelling, ¹¹ it is an old leprosy in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean; he shall not shut him up, for he is unclean. ¹² And if the leprosy breaks out greatly on the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the one who has the plague, from his head even to his feet, to all that appears to the priest's eyes, ¹³ then the priest shall look, and behold, if the leprosy has covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce the plagued one clean; it has all turned white; he is clean. ¹⁴ And in the day living flesh is seen in him, he is unclean.

¹⁰ And the cloud turned away from the tent. And, behold Miriam was leprous as snow! And Aaron turned toward Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous! ¹¹ And Aaron said to Moses, Oh my lord, I beg you, do not lay sin upon us, by which we have done foolishly, and by which we have sinned. ¹² I beg you, do not let her be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb. ¹³ And Moses cried to Jehovah, saying, O God, I beg You, give healing to her, I beseech You. ¹⁴ And Jehovah said to Moses, If her father had but spat in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? She shall be shut out seven days at the outside of the camp, and afterward she shall be brought in. ¹⁵ And Miriam was shut out at the outside of the camp seven days, and the people did not pull up stakes until Miriam was brought in.

⁸ Be on guard in the plague of leprosy, that you watch closely and do according to all that the Levitical priests shall teach you. As I commanded them, so you shall be careful to do. ⁹ Remember that which Jehovah your God did to Miriam in the way, as you came out of Egypt.

²⁹ May it whirl about the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that has an issue, or that is a leper, or that leans on a staff, or who falls by the sword, or that lacks bread!

⁵ And the king of Syria said, Go, go in, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he went and took in his hand ten talents of silver, and six thousand of gold, and ten changes of garments. ⁶ And he came to the king of Israel with the letter, saying, And now when this letter comes to you, behold, I have sent to you my servant Naaman. And you shall recover him from his leprosy. ⁷ And it happened, when the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his garments and said, Am I God, to kill and to keep alive, that this one is sending to me to recover a man from his leprosy? For consider now, and see for he is coiling himself toward me. ⁸ And it happened, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his garments, he sent to the king, saying, Why have you torn your garments? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. ⁹ And Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. ¹⁰ And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go, and you shall wash seven times in the Jordan. And your flesh shall return to you, and you shall he clean. ¹¹ And Naaman was angry, and went on, and said, Behold, I said, He will certainly come out to me and will stand and call on the name of Jehovah his God, and will wave his hand over the place, and recover the leper. ¹² Are not Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Shall I not wash in them and he clean? And he turned and went on in fury. ¹³ And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, My father, if the prophet had spoken a great thing to you would you not do it ? How much rather then when he says to you, Wash, and be clean? ¹⁴ And he went down and dipped in the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God. And his flesh returned like the flesh of a little boy, and he was clean. ¹⁵ And he went back to the man of God, he and all his company, and came in and stood before him, and said, Behold, now I know that there is not a God in all the earth except in Israel. And now, please take a blessing from your servant. ¹⁶ And he said, As Jehovah lives, before whom I stand, I shall not take. And he pressed on him to take, but he refused. ¹⁷ And Naaman said, If not, please let a couple of mules' burden of earth be given to your servant. For your servant shall not make any more burnt offering and sacrifice to other gods only to Jehovah. ¹⁸ May Jehovah pardon your servant for this thing, when my lord goes to the house of Rimmon to bow there, and he is supported by my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon; when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, may Jehovah pardon your servant in this thing. ¹⁹ And he said to him, Go in peace. And he went away a little way from him. ²⁰ And Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my lord has spared this Syrian, Naaman, not to receive from his hand that which he has brought As Jehovah lives, surely I will run after him, then I shall take something from him. ²¹ And Gehazi ran after Naaman. And Naaman saw one running after him, and got down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Peace? ²² And he said, Peace. My lord has sent me, saying, Behold this now, two young men from the hills of Ephraim have come to me, of the sons of the prophets. Please give to them a talent of silver, and two changes of garments. ²³ And Naaman said, Be pleased, take two talents. And he forced these on him, and bound two talents of silver and two purses, and two changes of garments, and gave to two of his young men, and they carried before him. ²⁴ And he came into the hill, and took out of their hand, and put away in the house, and sent away the men. And they went. ²⁵ And he went in and stood by his lord. And Elisha said to him, Where from Gehazi? And he said, Your servant did not go here or there. ²⁶ And he said to him. Did not my heart go out when the man turned from his chariot to meet you. Is it a time to take silver, and to take garments and olives, and vineyards, and flock, and herd, and male slaves, and slave-girls? ²⁷ Yea, the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you, and to your seed forever. And he went out from him as leprous as snow.

³ And four men, lepers, were at the gate entrance. And they said to one another, Why should we sit here until we die?

⁵ And Jehovah touched the king, and he was a leper to the day of his death; and he lived in a separate house, and Jotham the son of the king was over the house, judging the people of the land.

¹³ Solomon had made a bronze scaffold, and put it in the middle of the court, five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high; and he stood on it, and knelt on his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread out his hands toward Heaven.

² And behold, coming up, a leper worshiped Him, saying, Lord, If You will, You are able to cleanse me. ³ And stretching out His hand, Jesus touched him, saying, I will! Be cleansed! And instantly his leprosy was cleansed. ⁴ And Jesus said to him, See that you tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

⁵ The blind receive sight, and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor are given the gospel. Isa. 61:1

¹⁴ And they coming to the crowd, a man came near to Him, kneeling down to Him, and saying,

²² And often it threw him both into fire and into water, that it might destroy him. But if You are able to do anything, help us, having pity on us. ²³ And Jesus said to him, If you are able to believe, all things are possible to those believing.

¹⁷ And He having gone out into the highway, running up and kneeling down to Him, one questioned Him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

¹² And it happened, in His being in one of the cities, even behold, a man full of leprosy! And seeing Jesus, falling on his face, he begged Him, saying, Lord, if You choose, You are able to cleanse me. ¹³ And stretching out the hand, He touched him, saying, I will! Be cleansed! And instantly the leprosy departed from him. ¹⁴ And He charged him to tell no one. But going away, show yourself to the priest and offer concerning your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

¹² And He entering into a certain village, ten leprous men met Him, who stood afar off. ¹³ And they lifted their voice, saying, Jesus, Master, pity us. ¹⁴ And seeing them, He said to them, Going, show yourselves to the priests. And it happened in their going they were cleansed. ¹⁵ And one of them, seeing that he was cured, returned glorifying God with a loud voice. ¹⁶ And he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And answering, Jesus said, Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine? ¹⁸ Were not any found returning to give glory to God except this foreigner? ¹⁹ And He said to him, Rising up, go! Your faith has cured you.

⁴¹ And He was withdrawn from them, about a stone's throw. And placing the knees, He prayed,

⁶⁰ And placing the knees, he cried out with a loud voice, Lord, do not make stand this sin to them. And saying this, he fell asleep.

¹⁴ For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

³ then God said, Let light be! And there was light.

⁹ For He spoke, and it came into being; He commanded, and it stood fast.

³⁶ And seeing the crowds, He was moved with pity for them, because they were tired and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

³⁹ And being awakened, He rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Silence! Be still! And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

³⁴ And going out, Jesus saw a large crowd, and had pity on them, because "they were as sheep having no shepherd." And He began to teach them many things. Num. 27:17; Eze. 34:5

¹² And as He drew near to the gate of the city, even behold, one having died was being borne, an only son born to his mother; and she was a widow. And a considerable crowd of the city was with her. ¹³ And seeing her, the Lord felt pity over her and said to her, Stop weeping.

³ who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high, Psa. 110:1

¹⁷ For this reason He ought by all means to become like His brothers, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things respecting God, in order to make propitiation for the sins of His people.

²⁸ Then answering, Jesus said to her, O woman, your faith is great; let it be to you as you desire. And her daughter was healed from that hour.

³¹ And coming near, He raised her up, holding her hand. And the fever left her instantly, and she served them.

²⁹ And instantly the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she knew in her body that she was healed of the plague.

⁵⁰ Jesus said to him, Go! Your son lives. And the man believed the word which Jesus said to him, and went away. ⁵¹ But already, as he was going down, his slaves met him and reported, saying, Your child lives. ⁵² He then asked from them the hour in which he had gotten better. And they said to him, Yesterday, at the seventh hour, the fever left him. ⁵³ Then the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, Your son lives. And he himself, and his whole household, believed.

³ You are already pruned because of the Word which I have spoken to you.

³⁰ And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly ordered them, saying, See, let no one know.

⁴³ And very much He directed them that no one should know this. And He said to give her something to eat.

³⁶ And He ordered them that they should tell no one. But as much as He ordered them, much more abundantly they proclaimed.

⁵⁶ And her parents were amazed. But He charged them to tell no one of that which occurred.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ² This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing, that he shall be brought to the priest. ³ And the priest shall go out to the outside of the camp. And the priest shall look; and, behold, if the plague of leprosy is healed in the leper, ⁴ then the priest shall command, and he shall take for him who is to be cleansed two clean living birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop. ⁵ And the priest shall command, and he shall kill the one bird on an earthen vessel, over running water; ⁶ he shall take the living bird, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the slain bird, over the running water. ⁷ And he shall sprinkle on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean. And he shall send out the living bird into the open field. ⁸ And he who is to be cleansed shall wash his garments, and shall shave all his hair, and shall bathe with water, and shall be clean. And afterwards he shall come into the camp, and shall live on the outside of his tent seven days. ⁹ And it shall be on the seventh day, he shall shave all his hair, his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows; he shall even shave all his hair. And he shall wash his garments, and shall bathe his flesh with water, and shall be clean. ¹⁰ And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs, perfect ones, and one ewe lamb, daughter of a year, a perfect one, and three tenth parts of flour for a food offering, mixed with oil, and one log of oil. ¹¹ And the priest who is cleansing, and the man who is to be cleansed, shall stand with them before Jehovah, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ¹² And the priest shall take the one male lamb and shall bring it near for a guilt offering, and the log of oil, and shall wave them as a wave offering before Jehovah. ¹³ And he shall kill the lamb in the place where he killed the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the holy place. For like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest; it is most holy. ¹⁴ And the priest shall take of the blood of the guilt offering; and the priest shall put on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. ¹⁵ And the priest shall take of the log of oil and shall pour on the left palm of the priest. ¹⁶ And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil on his left palm and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah. ¹⁷ And of the rest of the oil on his palm, the priest shall put on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering; ¹⁸ and the rest of the oil on the palm of the priest, he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed. And the priest shall make atonement for him before Jehovah. ¹⁹ And the priest shall make a sin offering, and shall atone for him who is to be cleansed from his uncleanness. And afterwards he shall slaughter the burnt offering; ²⁰ and the priest shall offer the burnt offering, and the food offering, on the altar; and the priest shall make atonement for him; and he shall be clean. ²¹ And if he is poor, and his hand is not able to reach these things, then he shall take one lamb as a guilt offering, for a wave offering, to atone for himself, and one tenth part of flour mixed with oil for a food offering, and a log of oil, ²² and two turtledoves, or two young doves, which his hand can reach; and one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering. ²³ And he shall bring them in to the priest on the eighth day for his cleansing, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before Jehovah. ²⁴ And the priest shall take the lamb of the guilt offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them as a wave offering before Jehovah; ²⁵ and he shall kill the lamb of the guilt offering; and the priest shall take of the blood of the guilt offering, and he shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. ²⁶ And the priest shall pour the oil on the left palm of the priest; ²⁷ and the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger of the oil on his palm, seven times before Jehovah. ²⁸ And the priest shall put of the oil on his palm on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the guilt offering. ²⁹ And the rest of the oil on the priest's palm he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to atone for him, before Jehovah. ³⁰ And he shall offer one of the turtledoves, or of the young doves, from that which he is able to reach; ³¹ that which his hand has reached out to, the one a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering, besides the food offering. And the priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before Jehovah. ³² This is the law of him in whom is a plague of leprosy whose hand could not reach to his cleansing.

⁴ And Jesus said to him, See that you tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

² saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sat down on Moses' seat. ³ Then all things, whatever they tell you to keep, keep and do. But do not do according to their works, for they say, and do not do.

¹⁴ And He charged him to tell no one. But going away, show yourself to the priest and offer concerning your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

¹⁴ And seeing them, He said to them, Going, show yourselves to the priests. And it happened in their going they were cleansed.

⁴ For whatever things were written before were written for our instruction, that through patience and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

¹¹ And all these things happened to those as examples, and it was written for our warning, on whom the ends of the ages have come.

¹¹ I will remember the works of Jehovah; surely I will remember Your wonders of old.

¹⁵ And taking the silver, they did as they were taught. And this report was spread by the Jews until today.

¹ And again He entered into Capernaum after some days. And it was heard that He was in a house. ² And at once many were gathered, so as none any longer had room, not even to the door. And He spoke the Word to them.

¹³ And he went out by the sea again. And all the crowd came to Him, and He taught them.

⁷ And Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples; and a great multitude from Galilee and from Judea followed Him,

¹⁵ But the word about Him spread even more. And large crowds were coming to hear and to be healed from their infirmities by Him. ¹⁶ But He was drawing back in a deserted place, and praying. ¹⁷ And it happened on one of the days, even He was teaching. And Pharisees and teachers of the Law were sitting by, who were coming out of every village of Galilee and Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was there, for the curing of them.

² And a great crowd followed Him, for they saw His miracles which He did on the sick ones.

¹⁰ For there are indeed many disobedient men, empty talkers and mind-deluders, especially those of the circumcision,
