² and to the kings that were on the north of the heights, and in the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the low country, and in the hills of Dor on the west;

²¹ the king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;

²³ the king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;

⁹ And the separate cities of the sons of Ephraim were in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, all the cities and their villages.

²⁷ And Manasseh had not occupied Beth-shean and its daughter-villages; or Taanach and its daughter-villages nor struck the inhabitants of Dor and its daughter-villages; or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its daughter-villages; or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its daughter-villages. For the Canaanites desired to live in that land.

²⁹ And by the borders of the sons of Manasseh: Beth-shean and its towns; Taanach and its towns; Megiddo and its towns; Dor and its towns. In these lived the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel.

²² Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself to fight against him, and did not listen to the words of Necho from the mouth of God; and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

¹⁰ At Endor they were destroyed; they became dung for the ground.

¹¹ In that day the mourning in Jerusalem shall be great, like the mourning of Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddo.
