²⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe into Him whom that One sent.

¹⁸ I shall raise up a Prophet to them from among their brothers, one like you; and I will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. ¹⁹ And it shall be, whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it at his hand.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Oh the blessings of all those who flee to Him for refuge!

⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold, a radiant cloud overshadowed them. And, behold, a voice out of the cloud saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delight; hear Him. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1; Deut. 18:15

¹⁶ The one believing and being baptized will be saved. And the one not believing will be condemned.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. ¹⁸ The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.

³⁶ The one believing into the Son has everlasting life; but the one disobeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

³⁹ You search the Scriptures, for you think in them you have everlasting life. And they are the ones witnessing concerning Me.

³¹ And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

¹⁴ And he said, The God of our fathers appointed you to know His will, and to see the Just One, and to hear a voice out of His mouth; ¹⁵ for you shall be a witness for Him to all men of what you have seen and heard. ¹⁶ And now what do you intend? Rising up, be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

⁴ Now to one working, the reward is not counted according to grace, but according to debt. ⁵ But to the one not working, but believing on Him justifying the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

³⁰ What then shall we say? That the nations not following after righteousness have taken on righteousness, but a righteousness of faith; ³¹ but Israel following after a law of righteousness did not arrive at a law of righteousness?

³ For being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God. ⁴ For Christ is the end of law for righteousness to everyone that believes.

⁹ and being perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all the ones obeying Him,

²³ And this is His commandment, that we should believe the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as He gave command to us.

¹ Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. And everyone who loves Him who begets also loves the one who has been born of Him.
