¹ And there was a certain sick one, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister Martha. ² And it was Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. ³ Then the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, the one whom You love is sick. ⁴ And hearing, Jesus said, This is not sickness to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God be glorified by it. ⁵ And Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. ⁶ Therefore, when He heard that he is sick, then, indeed, He remained in the place where He was two days. ⁷ Then after this He said to the disciples, Let us go to Judea again. ⁸ The disciples said to Him, Rabbi, just now the Jews were seeking to stone You, and do You go there again? ⁹ Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of the world. ¹⁰ But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles because the light is not in him. ¹¹ He said these things. And after this, He said to them, Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going that I may awaken him. ¹² Then His disciples said, Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover. ¹³ But Jesus had spoken about his death, but they thought that He spoke of the sleep of slumber. ¹⁴ Therefore, then Jesus said to them plainly, Lazarus has died. ¹⁵ And I rejoice because of you, in order that you may believe that I was not there. But let us go to him. ¹⁶ Then Thomas, he having been called Twin, said to the fellow disciples, Let us go, even we, that we may die with Him. ¹⁷ Then coming, Jesus found him already being held in the tomb four days. ¹⁸ And Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia off. ¹⁹ And many of the Jews had come to those around Martha and Mary, that they might console them concerning their brother. ²⁰ Then when Martha heard that Jesus is coming, she met Him; but Mary was sitting in the house. ²¹ Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if You were here, my brother would not be dead. ²² But even now I know that whatever You may ask God, God will give You. ²³ Jesus said to her, Your brother will rise again. ²⁴ Martha said to Him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day. ²⁵ Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life. The one believing into Me, though he die, he shall live. ²⁶ And everyone living and believing into Me shall not ever die forever. Do you believe this? ²⁷ She said to Him, Yes, Lord, I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God who comes into the world. ²⁸ And saying these things, she went away and called her sister Mary secretly, saying, The Teacher is here and calls you. ²⁹ That one, when she heard, rose up quickly and came to Him. ³⁰ And Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met Him. ³¹ Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and consoling her, seeing that Mary quickly rose up and went out, they followed her, saying, She is going to the tomb so that she may weep there. ³² Then Mary, when she came where Jesus was, seeing Him, she fell at His feet, saying to Him, Lord, if You were here, my brother would not have died. ³³ Then when He saw her weeping, and the Jews who came down with her weeping, Jesus groaned in the spirit and troubled Himself. ³⁴ And He said, Where have you put him? They said to Him, Lord, come and see. ³⁵ Jesus wept. ³⁶ Then the Jews said, See how He loved him! ³⁷ But some of them said, Was this One, the one opening the eyes of the blind, not able to have caused that this one should not die? ³⁸ Then groaning again within Himself, Jesus came to the tomb. And it was a cave, and a stone was lying on it. ³⁹ Jesus said, Lift the stone. Martha, the sister of the one that had died, said to Him, Lord, he already smells, for it is the fourth day . ⁴⁰ Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you will see the glory of God? ⁴¹ Then they lifted the stone where the dead one was laid. And Jesus lifted His eyes upward and said, Father, I thank You that You heard Me. ⁴² And I know that you always hear Me, but because of the crowd standing around, I said it, that they might believe that You sent Me. ⁴³ And saying these things, He cried out with a loud voice, Lazarus! Here! Outside! ⁴⁴ And the one who had died came out, the feet and the hands having been bound with sheets, and his face being bound with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loosen him and let him go. ⁴⁵ Then many of the Jews, those coming to Mary, and having seen what Jesus did, believed into Him. ⁴⁶ But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. ⁴⁷ Then the chief priests and the Pharisees assembled a sanhedrin, and said, What are we doing, for this man does many miracles? ⁴⁸ If we let him alone this way, all will believe into him, and the Romans will come and will take away from us both the place and the nation. ⁴⁹ But a certain one of them, Caiaphas being high priest of that year, said to them, You know nothing, ⁵⁰ nor consider that it is profitable for us that one man die for the people, and not all the nation to perish. ⁵¹ But he did not say this from himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was about to die on behalf of the nation, ⁵² and not only on behalf of the nation, but that He also might gather into one the children of God who had been scattered. ⁵³ Then from that day, they took counsel that they might kill Him. ⁵⁴ Then Jesus no longer walked publicly among the Jews, but went away from there into the country near a deserted place, to a city being called Ephraim, and stayed there with His disciples. ⁵⁵ And the Passover of the Jews was near. And many went up to Jerusalem out of the country before the Passover, that they might purify themselves. ⁵⁶ Then they sought Jesus, and said with one another, standing in the temple, What does it seem to you? That He does not at all come to the Feast? ⁵⁷ And all the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commands that if anyone knew where He is, he should inform so that they might seize Him.

¹ And after these things it happened, one said to Joseph, Behold, your father is sick. And he took his two sons with him, Manasseh and Ephraim.

¹ In those days Hezekiah was sick to death, and Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him and said to him, So says Jehovah, Order your house, for you are dying, and shall not live. ² And he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Jehovah, saying, ³ I pray to You, O Jehovah, please remember how I have walked always before your face in truth, and with a perfect heart, and I have done the good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping. ⁴ And it happened when Isaiah had not gone out to the middle court, the word of Jehovah came to him, saying, ⁵ Return, and you shall say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, So says Jehovah, the God of your father David, I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you; you shall go up to the house of Jehovah the third day. ⁶ And I have added fifteen years to your days; and I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and shall defend this city for My own sake, and for My servant David's sake. ⁷ And Isaiah said, Take a cake of figs; and they took and laid it on the boil; and he recovered. ⁸ And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, What will be the sign that Jehovah will heal me, that I will go up on the third day to the house of Jehovah? ⁹ And Isaiah said, This will be the sign to you from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do the thing that He has spoken: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it turn back ten steps? ¹⁰ And Hezekiah said, It would be a light thing for the shadow to go down ten steps; no, but let the shadow go back ten steps. ¹¹ And Isaiah the prophet cried to Jehovah; and He brought back the shadow by the steps the shadow had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz, ten steps backward. ¹² At that time Berodach-baladan, the son of Baladan the king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that Hezekiah had been ill.

¹⁷ And leaving them, He went out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there.

¹ And when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, toward the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples,

³⁸ And as they went on, it happened, He also entered into a certain village. And a certain woman, Martha by name, received Him into her house. ³⁹ And she had a sister being called Mary, who also was sitting alongside, at the feet of Jesus, and heard His word. ⁴⁰ But Martha was distracted about much serving. And coming on she said, Lord, Is it not a care to You that my sister left me alone to serve? Then tell her that she should help me. ⁴¹ But answering Jesus said to her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, ⁴² But there is need of only one; and Mary chose the good part, which shall not be taken from her.

²⁰ And there was a certain poor one named Lazarus who had been laid at his porch, being plagued by sores, ²¹ and longing to be filled from the crumbs that were falling from the table of the rich one. But coming, even the dogs licked his sores. ²² And it happened, the poor one died and was carried away by the angels into the bosom of Abraham. And the rich one also died and was buried. ²³ And being in torments in Hell, lifting up his eyes, he sees Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosoms. ²⁴ And calling he said, Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering in this flame. ²⁵ But Abraham said, Child, remember that you fully received your good things in your lifetime, and Lazarus likewise the bad things. But now he is comforted, and you are suffering.

³ Then the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, the one whom You love is sick.

⁵ And Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. ⁶ Therefore, when He heard that he is sick, then, indeed, He remained in the place where He was two days.

¹¹ He said these things. And after this, He said to them, Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going that I may awaken him.

¹ Then six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had died, whom He raised from the dead. ² Then they made Him a supper there, and Martha served. But Lazarus was one of those reclining with Him.

⁹ Then a great crowd of the Jews learned that He was there. And they did not come because of Jesus alone, but that they also might see Lazarus whom He raised from the dead.

¹⁷ Then the crowd which was with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, witnessed.

³⁷ And it happened in those days, becoming ill, she died. And bathing her, they put her in an upper room.

⁶ And Jesus being in Bethany, in Simon the leper's house, ⁷ a woman came to Him having an alabaster vial of ointment, very precious. And she poured it on His head as He reclined.

³ And He being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He reclined, a woman came, having an alabaster vial of pure, costly ointment of nard. And breaking the alabaster vial, she poured it down His head.

³⁷ And, behold, a woman who was a sinner in the city, knowing that He reclined in the Pharisee's house, taking an alabaster vial of ointment, ³⁸ and standing at His feet, weeping behind Him, she began to wash His feet with tears. And she was wiping with the hairs of her head. And she ardently kissed His feet and was anointing them with the ointment.

³ Then taking a pound of ointment of pure, costly spikenard, Mary anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped off His feet with her hairs. And the house was filled with the odor of the ointment.

² And He said, Now take your son, Isaac, your only one whom you love, and go into the land of Moriah. And there offer him for a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will say to you.

³ As for the saints in the earth, they are the excellent ones; all my delight is in them.

³⁶ Then the Jews said, See how He loved him!

²³ But there was one of His disciples reclining at the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus loved.

²⁶ since he was longing for you all and has been troubled because you heard that he was sick. ²⁷ For indeed he was sick, coming near to death; but God had mercy on him, and not only on him, but also me, lest I should have grief on grief.

²⁰ Erastus remained in Corinth, but I left Trophimus sick in Miletus.

⁶ For whom the Lord loves, He disciplines, and whips every son whom He receives." Prov. 3:11, 12 ⁷ If you endure discipline, God is dealing with you as with sons; for who is the son whom a father does not discipline?

¹⁴ Is any among you sick? Let him call the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will cure those being sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he may have committed sin, it will be forgiven him.

¹⁹ I, as many "as I love, I rebuke and I chasten." Be zealous, then, and repent. Prov. 3:12

³⁹ And going in, He said to them, Why do you make a tumult and weep? The child has not died, but is sleeping. ⁴⁰ And they laughed at Him. But putting all out, He took along the father and the mother of the child, and those with Him, and passed on into where the child was lying. ⁴¹ And taking hold of the child's hand, He said to her, Talitha koumi; which is, being translated, Little girl, I say to you, Rise up! ⁴² And immediately the little girl rose up and walked. For she was twelve years old . And they were amazed with great amazement.

¹¹ This beginning of the miracles Jesus did in Cana of Galilee. And it revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

²³ so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, whom you say is your God.

³ Jesus answered, Neither this one nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.

²⁴ Then a second time they called the man who was blind, and they said to him, Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.

⁴⁰ Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you will see the glory of God?

²⁸ Father, glorify Your name. Then a voice came out of the heaven: I both glorified it, and I will glorify it again.

³¹ Then when he had gone out, Jesus said, Now the Son of man was glorified, and God was glorified in Him. ³² If God was glorified in Him, God also will glorify Him in Himself, and immediately will glorify Him.

¹ Jesus spoke these things and lifted up His eyes to Heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may also glorify You,

⁵ And now Father, glorify Me with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the existence of the world.

¹⁰ And all My things are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.

¹¹ I say, then, Did not they stumble that they fall? Let it not be! But by their slipping away came salvation to the nations, to provoke them to jealousy.

¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but as always in all boldness even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death. ²¹ the ones believing in God through Him, He raising Him from the dead, and giving glory to Him so that your faith and hope may be in God.

¹¹ If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God; if anyone ministers, as by strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom is the glory and the might forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁴ If you are reviled in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because "the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you." Truly, according to them, He is blasphemed; but according to you, He is glorified. Isa. 11:2

⁸ The disciples said to Him, Rabbi, just now the Jews were seeking to stone You, and do You go there again?

⁹ As the Father loved Me, I also loved you; continue in My love. ¹⁰ If you keep My commandments you will continue in My love, as I have kept My Father's commandments and continue in His love. ¹¹ I have spoken these things to you that My joy may abide in you, and your joy may be full. ¹² This is My commandment, that you love one another as I loved you. ¹³ Greater love than this has no one, that anyone should lay down his soul for his friends.

²⁷ for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came out from God.

²⁶ And I made known to them Your name, and will make it known, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.

¹⁴ And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Will See; so that it is said until this day, In the mount of Jehovah it will be seen.

²⁴ And he turned away from them and wept, and returned to them and spoke to them. And he took Simeon from them and bound him before their eyes.

²⁹ And he raised his eyes and saw his brother Benjamin, the son of his mother. And he said, Is this your youngest brother of whom you spoke to me? And he said, May God bless you, my son. ³⁰ And Joseph hurried, for his emotions were deeply moved toward his brother. And he looked for a place to weep; and he came into the inner room and wept there. ³¹ And he washed his face and controlled himself, and went out and said, Set out bread.

¹ And he commanded the one over his house, saying, Fill the sacks of the men with food, as much as they are able to carry; and put the silver of each one in the mouth of his sack. ² And put my cup, the cup of silver, in the mouth of the sack of the youngest, and the silver for his grain. And he did according to Joseph's word, that which he spoke. ³ At the morning light, the men were sent away, they and their asses. ⁴ They had gone out from the city, not having gone far, and Joseph said to the one over his house, Rise up, pursue the men and overtake them, and say to them, Why have you repaid evil for good? ⁵ Is this not that in which my lord is accustomed to drink, and he surely divines by it? You have done evil in what you have done.

¹ And Joseph was not able to control himself in regard to those standing beside him. And he called out, Cause every man to go out from me. And no man stood before him as Joseph was making himself known to his brothers. ² And he wept aloud; and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. ³ And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph. Is my father still alive? And his brothers were not able to answer him, for they trembled before him. ⁴ And Joseph said to his brothers, Now come near to me And they came near. And he said, I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt. ⁵ And now do not be grieved, and let no anger be in your eyes because you sold me here for God sent me before you to save life.

¹⁸ And so Jehovah waits to be gracious to you. And for this He is exalted to have mercy on you; for Jehovah is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him.

⁸ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says Jehovah. ⁹ For as the heavens are high from the earth, so My ways are high from your ways, and My thoughts from your thoughts.

²² And, behold, a woman of Canaan coming forth from those borders cried out to Him, saying, Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is vilely demon-possessed. ²³ But He did not answer her a word. And coming near, His disciples asked Him, saying, Send her away, for she cries out after us. ²⁴ But answering, He said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. ²⁵ But coming, she worshiped Him, saying, Lord, help me! ²⁶ But answering, He said, It is not good to take the bread of the children to throw it to the little dogs. ²⁷ But she said, Yes, Lord; for even the little dogs eat of the crumbs falling from the table of their lords. ²⁸ Then answering, Jesus said to her, O woman, your faith is great; let it be to you as you desire. And her daughter was healed from that hour.

⁵¹ And it happened in the fulfilling of the days of His taking up, even He set His face to go to Jerusalem.

⁴⁰ And He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John was at first baptizing and remained there. ⁴¹ And many came to Him and said, John indeed did no miracle, but all things that John said concerning this One were true. ⁴² And many believed into Him there.

³⁶ And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, Indeed, having turned back, let us look after our brothers throughout every city in which we announced the Word of the Lord, how they are holding it.

²² And now, behold, being bound by the Spirit, I go to Jerusalem, not knowing the things going to meet me in it, ²³ but that the Holy Spirit testifies city by city saying that bonds and afflictions await me. ²⁴ But I make account of nothing, nor do I hold my life precious to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, fully to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹ To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. I sought refuge in Jehovah; how can you say to my soul, Flee like a bird to your hill. ² For behold! The wicked will tread the bow; they fixed their arrow on the string, in order to shoot with it at the upright of heart in the dark. ³ When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

²¹ From that time, Jesus began to show to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised on the third day. ²² And having taken Him near, Peter began to rebuke Him, saying, God be gracious to You, Lord; this shall never be to You. ²³ But turning He said to Peter, Go behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you do not think of the things of God, but the things of men.

⁷ and the greetings in the markets, and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

⁵⁹ Because of this, they took up stones that they might throw them on Him. But Jesus was hidden, and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

³¹ Then again the Jews took up stones, that they might stone Him.

³⁹ Then again they sought to seize Him. And He went forth out of their hand.

²⁴ But I make account of nothing, nor do I hold my life precious to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, fully to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹² And when we heard these things, both we and those of the place begged him not to go up to Jerusalem. ¹³ But Paul answered, What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I not only am ready to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

²³ then you shall walk in your way safely, and your foot shall not stumble.

⁹ They shall come with weeping, and I will lead them with prayers. I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a right way; they will not stumble in it. For I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My first-born.

³¹ In the same day, certain Pharisees came saying to Him, Go out and go on from here, for Herod desires to kill you. ³² And He said to them, Going, say to that fox, Behold, today and tomorrow I cast out demons and I complete cures, and the third day I am perfected. ³³ But today and tomorrow and on the following day I must travel on. For it is not possible for a prophet to perish outside Jerusalem.

⁴ It is necessary for Me to work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night comes when no one is able to work.

³⁵ Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while the Light is with you. Walk while you have the Light, that darkness not overtake you. And the one walking in the darkness does not know where he is going.

² When the evildoers, my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

¹⁸ But the path of the just is as a bright light going on and shining till the day is established. ¹⁹ The way of the wicked is as darkness; they do not know at what they stumble.

¹⁴ The wise man's eyes are in his head; but the fool walks in darkness; and I also know that one event happens with all of them.

¹⁶ Give glory to Jehovah your God before He brings darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains. Yea, while you look for light, He puts it into death shade, setting up deep gloom.

¹¹ But Jehovah is with me like a mighty, awesome one. On account of this my persecutors shall stumble and will not prevail. And they shall be greatly ashamed. For they have not acted wisely; they are an everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten.

¹⁰ The one loving his brother rests in the light, and no offense is in him. ¹¹ But the one hating his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness blinded his eyes.

¹¹ And Jehovah would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp. And his attendant, Joshua the son of Nun, a young man did not leave the middle of the tabernacle.

¹⁶ And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers, and this people shall rise up and go lusting after the gods of the strangers of the land into which they are going, and shall forsake Me, and shall break My covenant which I made with it.

⁷ Are You not our God? You have driven out the inhabitants of this land from before Your people Israel, and have given it to the seed of Abraham, Your friend forever;

⁸ But you Israel are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen; the seed of My friend Abraham;

² And many of those sleeping in the earth's dust shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches and to everlasting abhorrence.

²⁴ Jesus said to them, Go back, for the little girl has not died, but she sleeps. And they laughed at Him.

⁵² And the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised.

³⁹ And going in, He said to them, Why do you make a tumult and weep? The child has not died, but is sleeping.

²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom, standing and hearing him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. Then this my joy has been fulfilled.

²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live. ²⁶ For even as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to have life in Himself. ²⁷ And He also gave authority to Him to execute judgment, for He is the Son of man. ²⁸ Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice. ²⁹ And they will come out, the ones having done good into a resurrection of life; and the ones having practiced evil into a resurrection of judgment.

¹³ But Jesus had spoken about his death, but they thought that He spoke of the sleep of slumber.

⁴³ And saying these things, He cried out with a loud voice, Lazarus! Here! Outside! ⁴⁴ And the one who had died came out, the feet and the hands having been bound with sheets, and his face being bound with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loosen him and let him go.

¹³ Greater love than this has no one, that anyone should lay down his soul for his friends. ¹⁴ You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. ¹⁵ I no longer call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his lord does. But I called you friends, because all things which I heard from My Father I made known to you.

⁶⁰ And placing the knees, he cried out with a loud voice, Lord, do not make stand this sin to them. And saying this, he fell asleep.

¹⁸ And then those that fell asleep in Christ were lost.

³⁴ Be righteously awake, and do not sin; for some have ignorance of God. I speak to your shame.

⁵¹ Behold, I speak a mystery to you: we shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed.

¹⁴ Because of this, He says, Arise, sleeping ones and stand up out of the dead ones, and Christ will shine on you. No OT passage

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus. ¹⁵ For we say this to you in the Word of the Lord, that we the living who remain to the coming of the Lord not at all will go before those who have fallen asleep.

¹⁰ He dying on our behalf, so that whether we watch or we sleep, we may live together with Him.

²³ And the Scripture was fulfilled, saying, "And Abraham believed God, and it was counted for righteousness to him;" and he was called, Friend of God. Gen. 15:6; Isa. 41:8

²⁴ Then the Jews encircled Him, and said to Him, How long do you lift up our soul? If you are the Christ, tell us publicly.

²⁵ I have spoken these things to you in allegories. An hour comes when I will no longer speak to you in allegories, but I will reveal the Father plainly to you.

²⁹ His disciples said to Him, Behold, now You speak plainly and You say no allegory.

²⁴ And Jehovah appeared to him in the same night, and said, I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I am with you; and I will bless you and increase your seed, because of My servant Abraham.

⁵ And it came about that from the time he appointed him over his house and over all he owned, Jehovah blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake. And the blessing of Jehovah was on all that he had, in the house and in the field.

¹⁴ He allowed no man to oppress them; yea, He reproved kings for their sakes;

¹⁵ Behold, they shall surely gather, but not from Me. Who has gathered against you? By you he shall fall.

⁸ So says Jehovah: As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it; so I will do for the sake of My servants, not to destroy the whole.

⁴ And hearing, Jesus said, This is not sickness to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God be glorified by it.

³⁵ Jesus wept. ³⁶ Then the Jews said, See how He loved him!

³⁰ Jesus answered and said, This voice has not occurred because of Me, but because of you.

¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words which I speak to you I do not speak from Myself, but the Father who abides in Me, He does the works. ¹¹ Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me; but if not, believe Me because of the works themselves.

¹⁹ and I sanctify Myself for them, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

¹⁵ For all things are for your sake, that the super abounding grace may be made to abound through the thanksgiving of the greater number, to the glory of God.

¹⁰ Because of this, I endure all things on account of the elect, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus, with everlasting glory.

¹³ I wrote these things to you, the ones believing in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life, and that you may believe in the name of the Son of God.

³ Philip, and Bartholomew, Thomas, and Matthew the tax-collector, James the son of Alpheus, and Lebbaeus, whose last name was Thaddaeus,

³⁵ Peter said to Him, Even if it were necessary for me to die with You, I will in no way deny You. And all the disciples said the same.

¹⁸ Also He appointed Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alpheus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,

¹⁵ Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alpheus, and Simon, the one being called Zealot;

³³ And he said to Him, Lord, I am ready to go both to prison and to death with You.

³⁷ Peter said to Him, Lord, why am I not able to follow You now? I will lay down my life for You!

⁵ Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You go, and how can we know the way?

²⁴ But Thomas, one of the Twelve, the one called Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. ²⁵ Then the other disciples said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I see the mark of the nails in His hands, and thrust my finger into the mark of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, in no way will I believe. ²⁶ And after eight days, His disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. The door having been locked, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said, Peace to you. ²⁷ Then He said to Thomas, Bring your finger here and see My hands, and bring your hand and thrust into My side, and be not unbelieving, but believing. ²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God! ²⁹ Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, you have believed. Blessed are the ones not seeing and believing.

¹³ And when they went in, they went up to the upper room where they were waiting: both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James.

² After two days He will bring us to life. In the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live before Him.

¹⁹ Jesus said to them, Destroy this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up.

³⁹ Jesus said, Lift the stone. Martha, the sister of the one that had died, said to Him, Lord, he already smells, for it is the fourth day .

²⁷ because You will not leave My soul in Hades, nor will You give Your Holy One to see corruption. ²⁸ You revealed to Me paths of life; You will fill Me with joy with Your face." LXX-Psa. 15:8-11; MT-Psa. 16:8-11 ²⁹ Men, brothers, it is permitted to say to you with plainness as to the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is among us until this day. ³⁰ Being a prophet, then, and knowing that God swore with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loin, as concerning flesh, to raise the Christ to sit on his throne, see Psa. 132:11 ³¹ foreseeing, he spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, "that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption." ¹³ And, behold, two of them were going on the same day to a village being sixty stadia distant from Jerusalem, which was named Emmaus.

¹⁹ Then having rowed about twenty five or thirty furlongs, they saw Jesus walking on the sea. And He having come near the boat, they were afraid.

²⁰ And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood went out of the winepress as far as the bridles of the horses, from a thousand six hundred stadia.

¹⁶ And the city lies four cornered, even its length as much as the width also. And he measured the city with the reed at twelve thousand stadia; its length and width and height are equal.

³⁵ And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him. And he refused to be comforted, and said, I will go down to Sheol mourning for my son. And his father wept for him.

² And David said, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me. And David sent to comfort him concerning his father by the hand of his servants. And David servants came into the land of the sons of Ammon.

²¹ and Zabad, his son; and Shuthelah, his son; and Ezer, and Elead, and the men of Gath, natives in the land, killed them, because they came down to take away their cattle. ²² And their father Ephraim mourned many days, and his brothers came to comfort him.

¹¹ And three friends of Job heard of all this evil that had come on him. And they each one came from his own place: Eliphaz the Temanite; Bildad the Shuhite; and Zophar the Naamathite. And they had met together to come to lament with him, and to comfort him.

¹¹ And all his brothers and all his sisters came to him; and all knowing him before. And they ate bread with him in his house and consoled him and comforted him as to all the evil that Jehovah had brought on him. And they each gave him a piece of money, and each one ring of gold.

² It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting; for it is the end of every man; and the living will lay it to his heart.

¹⁹ Those two things came to you; who shall wail for you? Ruin and shattering and famine and the sword, who but I shall comfort you?

⁵ For so says Jehovah, Do not enter into the house of mourning. Do not go to weep or moan for them. For I have taken away My peace with loving-kindness and compassions from this people says Jehovah. ⁶ Both the great and the small shall die in this land. They shall not be buried, nor shall men mourn for them, nor cut himself, nor make himself bald for them. ⁷ Nor shall anyone break for them in mourning, to comfort him for the dead. Nor shall they give them the cup of comfort to drink for one's father or one's mother.

² She bitterly weeps in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks. She has no comforter among all her lovers. All her friends dealt deceit with her; they became enemies to her.

⁹ Her uncleanness is in her skirts. She did not remember her end and has gone down astoundingly. She had no comforter. O Jehovah, behold my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself .

¹⁶ I weep for these; my eye, my eye runs down with water, because far from me is a comforter reviving my soul. My sons are desolated because the enemy prevails.

²¹ They hear that I sigh; there is no comforter to me. All my enemies have heard my evil; they rejoice that You have done it . You will bring the day that You have called, and they shall be like me.

¹³ What can I testify for you? To what will I compare you, O daughter of Jerusalem? To what shall I equate you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? For your crushing is great like the sea! Who can heal you?

³¹ Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and consoling her, seeing that Mary quickly rose up and went out, they followed her, saying, She is going to the tomb so that she may weep there.

¹⁵ Rejoice with rejoicing ones, and weep with weeping ones;

⁴ the One comforting us on all our affliction, for us to be able to comfort those in every affliction, through the comfort by which we ourselves are comforted by God.

¹⁸ So, then, comfort each other with these words.

¹¹ Therefore, encourage one another, and build up one another, as you indeed do.

¹ Then the kingdom of Heaven shall be compared to ten virgins who taking their lamps, went out to a meeting of the bridegroom.

⁶ And at midnight, a cry occurred: Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet him.

³⁰ And Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met Him.

²⁵ And as Peter was coming in, meeting him, Cornelius fell at his feet and worshiped.

¹⁵ And the brothers from there hearing about us, they came out to meet us, as far as the marketplace of Appius, and Three Taverns; whom Paul seeing, thanking God, he took courage.

¹⁷ Then we who remain alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to a meeting with the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

¹⁸ And she said to Elijah, What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to cause my iniquity to be remembered, and to put my son to death?

¹⁹ And they spoke against God, saying, Shall God be able to set a table in the wilderness?

⁴¹ Yea, they turned back and tested God, and pained the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁸ As He spoke these things to them, behold, coming up a ruler bowed before Him, saying, My daughter has just now died; but coming lay Your hand on her, and she will live.

⁶ And Jesus went with them. But He being yet not far away from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, Lord, do not trouble, for I am not worthy that You come under my roof. ⁷ For this reason I did not count myself worthy to come to You. But say in a word, and let my servant be cured. ⁸ For I also am a man having been set under authority, having soldiers under myself. And I say to this one, Go! And he goes. And to another, Come! And he comes. And to my slave, Do this! And he does it . ⁹ And hearing these things, Jesus marveled at him. And turning to the crowd following Him, He said, I say to you, I did not find such faith in Israel. ¹⁰ And those sent, returning to the house, found the sick slave well.

¹³ And seeing her, the Lord felt pity over her and said to her, Stop weeping. ¹⁴ And coming up, He touched the coffin; and those carrying it stood still. And He said, Young man, I say to you, Arise! ¹⁵ And the dead one sat up and began to speak. And He gave him to his mother.

⁴⁹ As He was yet speaking, someone came from the synagogue ruler, saying to him, Your daughter has expired. Do not trouble the Teacher. ⁵⁰ But hearing, Jesus answered him, saying, Do not fear; only believe and she will be healed. ⁵¹ And coming into the house, He did not allow anyone to enter, except Peter and James and John, and the father and mother of the child. ⁵² And all were weeping and bewailing her. But He said, Stop weeping. She has not died, but is sleeping. ⁵³ And they scoffed at Him, knowing that she died. ⁵⁴ But putting all outside, and taking hold of her hand, He called out, saying, Child, rise up! ⁵⁵ And her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. And He ordered something to eat be given to her.

⁴⁷ Hearing that Jesus was coming from Judea into Galilee, this one went out to Him and asked Him that He would come and heal his son, for he was about to die. ⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not at all believe. ⁴⁹ The nobleman said to Him, Sir, come down before my child dies.

³² Then Mary, when she came where Jesus was, seeing Him, she fell at His feet, saying to Him, Lord, if You were here, my brother would not have died.

³⁷ But some of them said, Was this One, the one opening the eyes of the blind, not able to have caused that this one should not die?

⁸ Ask of Me, and I will give the nations as Your inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession.

¹⁸ And coming up Jesus talked with them, saying, All authority in Heaven and on earth was given to Me.

²³ And Jesus said to him, If you are able to believe, all things are possible to those believing.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.

²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him. ²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. ²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live. ²⁶ For even as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to have life in Himself. ²⁷ And He also gave authority to Him to execute judgment, for He is the Son of man.

³¹ But we know that God does not hear sinful ones, but if anyone is God fearing, and does His will, He hears that one.

⁴¹ Then they lifted the stone where the dead one was laid. And Jesus lifted His eyes upward and said, Father, I thank You that You heard Me. ⁴² And I know that you always hear Me, but because of the crowd standing around, I said it, that they might believe that You sent Me.

² as You gave to Him authority over all flesh, so that to all which You gave to Him, He may give to them everlasting life.

¹⁷ By faith, being tested, Abraham offered up Isaac; and he receiving the promises was offering up the only begotten, ¹⁸ as to whom it was said, "In Isaac your Seed shall be called;" Gen. 21:12 ¹⁹ reckoning that God was able to raise even from the dead; from where indeed he obtained him in a parable.

¹⁵ As for me, in righteousness I will look upon Your face; when I awaken, I shall be satisfied by Your image.

¹⁴ Like sheep, they are appointed to Sheol; death shall reign for them; and upright ones shall rule over them in the morning; and their form is for rotting; Sheol is home for him. ¹⁵ But God will redeem my soul from the hand of Sheol; for He will take me. Selah.

⁸ He will swallow up death in victory! And the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from all faces. And He shall reprove the reproach of His people from all the earth; for Jehovah has spoken

¹⁹ Your dead ones shall live, my dead body, they shall rise up. Awake and sing, dust dwellers; for the dew of lights is your dew; and the earth shall cast out departed spirits.

¹ The hand of Jehovah was on me. And He brought me by the Spirit of Jehovah and made me rest in the midst of a valley, and it was full of bones. ² And He made me pass among them all around. And, behold, very many were on the face of the valley. And, behold! They were very dry. ³ And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I said, O Lord Jehovah, You know. ⁴ And He said to me, Prophesy to these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of Jehovah: ⁵ So says the Lord Jehovah to these bones: Behold, I cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live,; ⁶ and I will put on you sinews and will bring flesh on you and spread skin over you and put breath in you, and you shall live. And you shall know that I am Jehovah. ⁷ So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise. And, behold, a shaking! And the bones drew near, a bone to its bone. ⁸ And I watched. And, behold! The sinews and the flesh came up on them, and the skin spread over them from above. But there was no breath in them. ⁹ Then He said to me, Prophesy to the Spirit. Prophesy, son of man, and say to the Spirit, So says the Lord Jehovah: Come from the four winds, O Spirit, and breathe on these slain ones, that they may live. ¹⁰ So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit came into them. And they lived and stood on their feet, a very great army.

² And many of those sleeping in the earth's dust shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches and to everlasting abhorrence. ³ And those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and those turning many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

¹⁴ I will ransom them from the hand of Sheol; I will redeem them from death. O death, where are your plagues? O Sheol, where is your ruin? Repentance is hidden from My eyes.

²³ On that day, Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him. And they questioned Him, ²⁴ saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any should die not having children, his brother shall marry his wife, and shall raise up seed to his brother. Deut. 25:5 ²⁵ And seven brothers were with us. And having married, the first expired, and not having seed left his wife to his brother. ²⁶ In the same way also the second, and the third, until the seven. ²⁷ And last of all, the woman also died. ²⁸ Then in the resurrection, of which of the seven will she be wife? For all had her. ²⁹ And answering, Jesus said to them, You err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. ³⁰ For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are as the angels of God in Heaven. ³¹ But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that spoken to you by God, saying: ³² "I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?" God is not God of the dead, but of the living. Ex. 3:6

¹⁴ and then you will be blessed, for they have nothing to repay you. For it will be repaid to you in the resurrection of the just.

³¹ because He set a day in which "He is going to judge the habitable world in righteousness," by a Man whom He appointed; having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead. Psa. 9:8 ³² And hearing of a resurrection of the dead, some indeed ridiculed, but said, We will hear you again concerning this.

⁶ But knowing that the one part consisted of Sadducees, and the other of Pharisees, Paul cried out in the sanhedrin, Men, brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; I am being judged concerning hope and resurrection of the dead! ⁷ And he having spoken this, there was a discord between the Pharisees and the Sadducees; and the multitude was divided. ⁸ For the Sadducees indeed say there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit. But Pharisees confess both. ⁹ And there was a great cry. And the scribes of the part of the Pharisees rising up, they were contending, saying, We find nothing evil in this man. And, If a spirit spoke to him, or an angel, let us not fight against God.

¹⁵ having hope toward God, which these themselves also admit, of a resurrection being about to be of the dead, both of just and unjust ones.

³⁵ Women received their dead by resurrection; but others were beaten to death, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection.

²⁵ For I know my Redeemer is living, and He shall rise on the earth at the last; ²⁶ and after my skin has been struck off from my flesh, yet this, I shall see God, ²⁷ whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and no stranger; though my reins be exhausted in my bosom.

⁹ For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

¹⁶ O Lord, on them they live, and for all in them is the life of my spirit. And You heal me, and make me live.

⁴³ And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.

⁴ In Him was life, and the life was the light of men;

³⁶ The one believing into the Son has everlasting life; but the one disobeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

²¹ For even as the Father raises the dead, and gives life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills.

²⁶ For even as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to have life in Himself.

³⁵ Jesus said to them, I am the Bread of life; the one coming to Me will not at all hunger, and the one believing into Me will never ever thirst.

³⁹ And this is the will of the Father sending Me, that of all that He has given Me, I shall not lose any of it, but shall raise it up in the last day. ⁴⁰ And this is the will of the One sending Me, that everyone seeing the Son and believing into Him should have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

⁴⁴ No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

⁶ Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

¹⁹ Yet a little while and the world no longer sees Me, but you see Me. Because I live, you also shall live.

¹⁵ And the Author of Life you killed, whom God raised up from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

¹⁷ according as it has been written, "I have appointed you a father of many nations;" before God, whom he believed, the One making the dead live, and calling the things that are not as if they were. Gen. 17:5

¹⁷ For if by the offense of the one death reigned through the one, much more those who are receiving the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall rule in life by the One, Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ So then, as through one offense it was toward all men to condemnation, so also by one accomplished righteousness toward all men to justification of life. ¹⁹ For as through the one man's disobedience the many were constituted sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many shall be constituted righteous.

² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus set me free from the law of sin and of death.

¹⁰ But if Christ is in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. ¹¹ But if the Spirit of the One having raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One having raised the Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies live through the indwelling of His Spirit in you.

³⁸ For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

²⁰ But now Christ has been raised from the dead; He became the firstfruit of those having fallen asleep. ²¹ For since death is through man, also through a Man is a resurrection of the dead; ²² for as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. ²³ But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruit, afterward those of Christ at His coming. ²⁴ Then is the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God, even the Father, when He makes to cease all rule and all authority and power. ²⁵ for it is right for Him to reign until He puts all the enemies under His feet; Psa. 110:1 ²⁶ the last enemy made to cease is death.

²⁹ Otherwise, what will they do, those being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not at all raised, why indeed are they baptized on behalf of the dead?

⁴³ It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. ⁴⁴ It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. ⁴⁵ So also it has been written, "The" first "man", Adam, "became a living soul;" the last Adam a life-giving Spirit. Gen. 2:7 ⁴⁶ But not the spiritual first, but the natural; afterward the spiritual. ⁴⁷ The first man was out of earth, earthy. The second Man was the Lord out of Heaven. Gen. 2:7 ⁴⁸ Such the earthy man, such also the earthy ones. And such the heavenly Man, such also the heavenly ones. ⁴⁹ And as we bore the image of the earthy man, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man . ⁵⁰ And I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood is not able to inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption. ⁵¹ Behold, I speak a mystery to you: we shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed. ⁵² In a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet; for a trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed. ⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ But when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and this mortal shall put on immortality, then will take place the word that has been written, "Death was swallowed up in victory." Isa. 25:8 ⁵⁵ "O death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?" Hos. 13:14 ⁵⁶ Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; ⁵⁷ but thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

¹⁴ knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up through Jesus, and will present us with you.

¹ For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle is taken down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in Heaven. ² For indeed in this we groan, greatly desiring to be clothed with our dwelling place out of Heaven, ³ if indeed in being clothed, we shall not be found naked. ⁴ For indeed, being in the tabernacle, we groan, having been weighted down, inasmuch as we do not wish to be unclothed, but to be clothed, so that the mortal may be swallowed up by the life. ⁵ And He having worked in us for this same thing is God, who also is giving us the earnest of the Spirit. ⁶ Then always being fully assured, and knowing that being at home in the body we are away from home from the Lord ⁷ (for we walk by faith, not by sight), ⁸ we are fully assured, then, and are pleased rather to go away from home out of the body, and to come home to the Lord.

²³ For I am pressed together by the two: having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better,

¹⁰ to know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, having been conformed to His death,

²⁰ For our citizenship is in Heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, ²¹ who will transform our body of humiliation, for it to be conformed to His body of glory, according to the working of His power, even to put all things under Himself.

³ For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ Whenever Christ our life is revealed, then also you will be revealed with Him in glory.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.

¹³ These all died by way of faith, not having received the promises, but seeing them from afar, and being persuaded, and having embraced and confessed that they are aliens and tenants. ¹⁴ For those saying such things make clear that they seek a fatherland. ¹⁵ And truly if they remembered that from which they came out, they had time to return. ¹⁶ But now they stretch forth to a better, that is, a heavenly land . Therefore, God is not ashamed of them, for Him to be called their God; for He prepared a city for them.

¹ We announce to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld, and what our hands touched, as regards the Word of Life. ² And the Life was revealed, and we have seen, and we bear witness, and we announce to you the everlasting Life which was with the Father, and was revealed to us.

¹¹ And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² The one having the Son has life. The one not having the Son of God does not have life.

⁵ But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.

¹⁰ And the Devil leading them astray was thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And they were tormented day and night forever and ever. ¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and the One sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled; and a place was not found for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, the small and the great, standing before God. And books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of the things written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and Hades gave up the dead in them. And they were each judged according to their works. ¹⁴ And death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire.

⁴ And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. And death shall be no longer, nor mourning, nor outcry, nor pain will be any longer; for the first things passed away.

¹ And he showed me a pure river of water of life, bright as crystal, coming forth out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And the one hearing, let him say, Come! And the one thirsting, let him come; and the one desiring, let him take of the water of life freely.

²⁸ And coming into the house, the blind ones came near to Him. And Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? And they said to Him, Yes, Lord.

⁵³ Or do you think that I am not able now to call on My Father, and He will place beside Me more than twelve legions of angels?

¹⁵ that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. ¹⁸ The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.

¹⁴ but whoever may drink of the water which I will give him will never ever thirst, but the water which I will give to him will become a fountain of water in him, springing up into everlasting life.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

⁵⁰ This is the Bread coming down out of Heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die. ⁵¹ I am the Living Bread that came down from Heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever. And indeed the bread which I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

⁵⁴ The one partaking of My flesh and drinking of My blood has everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For My flesh is truly food, and My blood is truly drink. ⁵⁶ The one partaking of My flesh and drinking of My blood abides in Me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ Even as the living Father sent Me, and I live through the Father; also the one partaking Me, even that one will live through Me. ⁵⁸ This is the Bread which came down out of Heaven, not as your fathers ate the manna and died; the one partaking of this Bread will live forever.

⁵¹ Truly, truly, I say to you, If anyone keeps My Word, he will never ever see death. ⁵² Then the Jews said to Him, Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets, and you say, If anyone keeps My Word, he will never ever taste of death. ⁵³ Are you greater than our father Abraham who died? And the prophets died! Whom do you make yourself?

³⁵ Jesus heard that they threw him outside, and finding him, He said to him, Do you believe into the Son of God?

²⁸ And I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish to the age, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.

¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words which I speak to you I do not speak from Myself, but the Father who abides in Me, He does the works.

¹³ for if you live according to flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live.

¹⁰ The one believing in the Son of God has the witness in himself. The one not believing God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness which God has witnessed concerning His Son.

¹ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

³ John said to Him, Are You the One coming, or are we to look for another?

¹⁶ And answering, Simon Peter said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

¹¹ because today a Savior, who is Christ the Lord, was born to you in the city of David.

¹⁹ And having called near a certain two of his disciples, John sent to Jesus, saying, Are You the One coming? Or should we expect another? ²⁰ And having come to Him, the men said, John the Baptist sent us to You, saying, Are You the One coming, or should we expect another?

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.

⁴² And they said to the woman, We no longer believe because of your saying; for we ourselves have heard, and we know that this One is truly the Savior of the world, the Christ.

¹⁴ Then seeing what miracle Jesus did, the men said, This is truly the Prophet, the one coming into the world.

⁶⁹ And we have believed and have known that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

³⁶ And he answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I may believe into Him? ³⁷ And Jesus said to him, Even you have seen Him, and He speaking with you is that One. ³⁸ And he said, I believe, Lord! And he worshiped Him.

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God! ²⁹ Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, you have believed. Blessed are the ones not seeing and believing. ³⁰ Then truly Jesus did many other miracles in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book. ³¹ But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

³⁶ And as they were going along the highway they came on some water. And the eunuch said, Behold, water! What prevents me from being baptized?

¹⁵ Faithful is the Word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. ¹⁶ But for this reason I received mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, for an example to those being about to believe on Him to everlasting life.

¹ Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. And everyone who loves Him who begets also loves the one who has been born of Him.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given to us an understanding that we may know the true One, and we are in the true One, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and the life everlasting.

⁸ The voice of my Beloved! Behold, He comes leaping on the mountains, skipping on the hills. ⁹ My Beloved is likened to a gazelle, or to a young deer, the stag. Behold, He stands behind our wall, looking from the windows, peering from the lattice. ¹⁰ My Beloved answered and said to me, Arouse yourself, My love, My beautiful one, and come away. ¹¹ For, behold, the winter has passed, the rain has passed, it goes to itself. ¹² The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come; and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. ¹³ The fig tree spices her unripe figs, and the vines give a fragrance by the blossom. Arise, My love; come, My beautiful one, and come yourself. ¹⁴ My dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secrecy of the steep place, let Me see your form. Let Me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your form is beautiful.

¹⁰ In that day, says Jehovah of hosts, you shall invite each man to his neighbor to sit under the vine and under the fig tree.

¹⁸ And He said, Go into the city to a certain one and say to him, The Teacher says, My time is near; to you I will prepare the Passover with My disciples.

⁴⁹ And standing still, Jesus said for him to be called. And they called the blind one, saying to him, Be comforted, rise up, He calls you.

¹⁴ And wherever he goes in, say to the housemaster, The Teacher says, Where is the guest room where I may eat the passover with My disciples?

¹¹ And you will say to the housemaster of that house, The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest room where I may eat the passover with My disciples?

⁴¹ This one first found his own brother Simon and tells him, We have found the Messiah (which being translated is, the Christ).

⁴⁵ Philip finds Nathanael and said to him, We have found the One of whom Moses wrote in the Law and the Prophets, Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth.

³ The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.

²⁰ Then when Martha heard that Jesus is coming, she met Him; but Mary was sitting in the house.

¹³ You call Me the Teacher, and, the Lord. And you say well, for I AM.

¹⁶ Jesus said to her, Mary! Turning around, she said to Him, Rabboni! (that is to say, Teacher).

⁷ Then they cast, and they no longer had the strength to draw, from the multitude of the fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord. Then hearing that it is the Lord, Simon Peter girded on his coat (for he was naked) and threw himself into the sea.

¹⁷ Then we who remain alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to a meeting with the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. ¹⁸ So, then, comfort each other with these words.

¹² Because of this, "straighten the hands" hanging alongside, "and the enfeebled knees;"

⁸ My heart said to You, Seek my face; Your face, O Jehovah, I will seek.

⁵⁹ I mused on my ways and turned my feet to Your testimonies. ⁶⁰ I hurried and delayed not to keep Your commands.

²³ A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and how good is a word in its season!

¹⁷ Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens his friend's face.

¹ By night on my bed I sought Him whom my soul loves. I sought Him, but I did not find Him. ² I will rise now and go about in the city, in the streets and in the broad places. I will seek Him whom my soul loves. I sought Him, but I did not find Him. ³ The watchmen going about in the city found me. I said, Have you seen Him my soul loves? ⁴ When I had passed on from them, it was a little while until I found Him whom my soul loves. I seized Him, and I did not let Him go until I had brought Him into my mother's house, and into the room of her who conceived me.

¹⁶ And David sought God for the child. And David fasted a fast, and went in and stayed the night, and lay on the earth. ¹⁷ And the elders of his house rose up toward him, to raise him up from the earth. But he was not willing; and he ate no bread with them. ¹⁸ And it happened on the seventh day, the boy died. And David's servants feared to tell him that the boy was dead, for they said, Behold, while the boy was alive, we spoke to him, and he would not listen to our voice. And how shall we say to him, The boy is dead? Then he may do harm.

¹⁹ And many of the Jews had come to those around Martha and Mary, that they might console them concerning their brother.

¹⁵ But the spiritual one discerns all things, but he is discerned by no one.

⁸ And seeing, Simon Peter fell at the knees of Jesus, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.

⁴¹ And, behold, a man named Jairus came, and this one was a synagogue ruler. And falling at the feet of Jesus, he begged Him to come into his house,

¹⁶ And he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.

⁴⁹ The nobleman said to Him, Sir, come down before my child dies.

²¹ Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if You were here, my brother would not be dead.

⁸ And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having harps, and golden bowls full of incenses, which are the prayers of the saints.

¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the twenty four elders fell down and worshiped the One living forever and ever.

⁸ And I, John, was the one seeing and hearing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel showing me these things.

⁵ And having looked around on them with anger, being greatly grieved over the hardness of their heart, He said to the man, Stretch out your hand! And he stretched out, and his hand was restored sound as the other.

¹⁹ And answering them, He said, O unbelieving generation! How long will I be with you? How long shall I endure you? Bring him to Me.

³³ And He took along Peter and James and John with Him. And He began to be much amazed and to be deeply troubled. ³⁴ And He said to them, My soul is deeply grieved, unto death. Remain here and watch. ³⁵ And going forward a little, He fell on the ground and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.

³⁸ Then groaning again within Himself, Jesus came to the tomb. And it was a cave, and a stone was lying on it.

²⁷ And My soul is troubled, and what may I say? Father, save Me out of this hour? But on this account I came to this hour.

²¹ Saying these things, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified and said, Indeed I tell you truly that one of you will betray Me.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest not being able to sympathize with our weaknesses but One having been tried in all respects according to our likeness, apart from sin.

⁷ who in the days of His flesh was offering both petitions and entreaties to Him being able to save Him from death, with strong crying and tears, and being heard from His godly fear; ⁸ though being a Son, He learned obedience from what He suffered

⁶ He is not here, for He was raised, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.

⁴⁷ And Mary Magdalene, and Mary of Joses, saw where He was laid.

⁶ But He said to them, Do not be amazed. You seek Jesus the Nazarene who has been crucified. He was raised. He is not here. See the place where they put Him?

³⁹ He said to them, Come and see. They went and saw where He stayed, and they remained with Him that day. And the hour was about the tenth.

² Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They took away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they laid Him.

³⁰ And Joseph hurried, for his emotions were deeply moved toward his brother. And he looked for a place to weep; and he came into the inner room and wept there.

²⁵ Did I not weep for him whose day is hard; and my soul grieved for the poor?

¹³ But in their sickness, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fastings; and my prayer returned to my bosom. ¹⁴ I walked as a friend, as to my brother; as one who mourns a mother; I was bowed down mourning. ¹⁵ But they rejoiced in my stumbling, and assembled; the defamers assembled themselves against me, and I knew not; they tore and were not silent,

¹³⁶ Rivers of waters run down my eyes for they do not keep Your law.

³ He is despised and abandoned of men, a Man of pains, and acquainted with sickness. And as it were hiding our faces from Him, He being despised, and we did not value Him.

⁹ In all their affliction, He was not a foe; and the Angel of his Face saved them. In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. And He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

¹ Oh, that my head were waters and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

¹⁷ But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride. And my eye shall bitterly weep and run down with tears, because the flock of Jehovah was captured.

¹⁷ And you shall speak this word to them: Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and do not let them cease. For the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great break, with a very grievous blow.

¹¹ But as they were hearing these things, He spoke, adding a parable, because He was near to Jerusalem, and they thought that the kingdom of God was immediately to be revealed.

⁴¹ And as He drew near, seeing the city, He wept over it,

³³ Then when He saw her weeping, and the Jews who came down with her weeping, Jesus groaned in the spirit and troubled Himself.

² that my grief is great, and a never ceasing pain is in my heart, ³ for I myself was wishing to be a curse from Christ on behalf of my brothers, my kinsmen according to flesh,

¹⁶ For indeed He does not take hold of angels, "but He takes hold of" " the seed of Abraham." Isa. 41:8, 9 ¹⁷ For this reason He ought by all means to become like His brothers, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things respecting God, in order to make propitiation for the sins of His people.

²¹ He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is that one who loves Me; and the one that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and will reveal Myself to him. ²² Judas said to Him, not the Iscariot, Lord, what has happened that You are about to reveal Yourself to us and not at all to the world? ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word, and My Father shall love him. And We will come to him and will make a dwelling place with him.

¹⁵ Then when they broke fast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Feed My lambs! ¹⁶ Again He says to him, secondly, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me? He says to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Shepherd My sheep! ¹⁷ Thirdly, He said to him, Simon son of Jonah, do you love Me? Peter was grieved that He said to him a third time, Do you love Me? And he said to him, Lord, You perceive all things, You know that I love You! Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep!

⁸ I do not speak according to command, but through the earnestness of others and testing the trueness of your love. ⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich, He became poor for your sake, so that you might become rich by the poverty of that One.

² and walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up on its behalf,

¹ See what manner of love the Father has given us, that we may be called children of God. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

⁹ By this the love of God was revealed in us, because His Son, the Only begotten, God has sent into the world that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a propitiation relating to our sins.

⁵ even from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the First-born out of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him loving us and washing us from our sins by His blood,

¹⁹ And they spoke against God, saying, Shall God be able to set a table in the wilderness? ²⁰ Behold! He struck the rock and the waters gushed out, and the torrents overflowed. Can He also give bread? Will He provide flesh for His people?

⁴⁰ and saying, You destroying the Holy Place and building it in three days, if you are the Son of God, come down from the cross. ⁴¹ And in the same way, the chief priests with the scribes and elders, mocking, said, ⁴² He saved others; he is not able to save himself. If he is the king of Israel, let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe him.

³² The Christ, the king of Israel? Let him now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe. And the ones crucified with Him insulted Him.

³⁵ And the people stood watching. And the rulers with them also scoffed, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if this one is the Christ, the elect of God.

³⁹ And one of the hanged criminals blasphemed Him, saying, If you are the Christ, save yourself and us.

⁶ Saying these things, He spat on the ground and made clay out of the spittle, and anointed clay on the blind one's eyes. ⁷ And He said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, which translated is Sent. Then he went and washed, and came seeing.

¹⁹ And after this Abraham buried his wife Sarah at the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre; it is Hebron, in the land of Canaan.

²⁹ And he commanded them and said to them I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me beside my fathers, at the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite, ³⁰ in the cave in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, the field which Abraham bought from Ephron the Hittite for a burying place. ³¹ They buried Abraham and his wife Sarah there, and they buried Isaac and his wife Rebekah; and I buried Leah there;

¹⁶ What is to you here? And who is here to you, that you have carved a tomb for yourself here, as one having cut out his tomb on high, having carved out a home for himself in the rock?

⁴ And Jehovah said to him, Pass through in the midst of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem, and mark a mark on the foreheads of the men who are groaning and are mourning over all the abominations that are done in her midst.

⁶ And you, son of man, groan with the breaking of your loins, and groan with bitterness before their eyes.

⁶⁰ and laid it in his new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock. And rolling a great stone to the door of the tomb, he departed.

⁶⁶ And going along with the guard, they made the grave secure, sealing the stone.

¹² And groaning in His spirit, He said, Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly I say to you, As if this generation will be given a sign!

⁴⁶ And having bought a linen cloth, and having taken Him down, he wrapped Him in the linen, and laid Him in a tomb which was cut out of rock. And he rolled a stone against the mouth of the tomb.

² And they found the stone having been rolled away from the tomb.

¹ But on the first of the week, Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, darkness yet being on it . And she saw the stone had been removed from the tomb.

¹⁹ By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until your return to the ground. For you have been taken out of it; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

⁴ I am an alien and a visitor with you. Give to me a possession among you, so that I may bury my dead from before the eyes.

⁷ A man cannot at all redeem a brother, nor give to God a ransom for him,

⁹ for he shall yet live forever; he shall never see corruption.

¹⁴ Like sheep, they are appointed to Sheol; death shall reign for them; and upright ones shall rule over them in the morning; and their form is for rotting; Sheol is home for him.

³ And they said to themselves, Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?

¹⁷ Then coming, Jesus found him already being held in the tomb four days.

²⁷ because You will not leave My soul in Hades, nor will You give Your Holy One to see corruption.

³⁶ For having served his own generation by the counsel of God, David truly fell asleep and was added to his fathers and saw corruption. 1 Kg. 2:10

²¹ who will transform our body of humiliation, for it to be conformed to His body of glory, according to the working of His power, even to put all things under Himself.

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in Jehovah your God, and be steadfast; believe in His prophets and prosper.

² Therefore I have seen you in the holy place, seeing Your power and Your glory.

¹⁶ Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your majesty to their sons.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth.

²³ Jesus said to her, Your brother will rise again. ²⁴ Martha said to Him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day. ²⁵ Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life. The one believing into Me, though he die, he shall live. ²⁶ And everyone living and believing into Me shall not ever die forever. Do you believe this?

⁴¹ Isaiah said these things when he saw His glory, and spoke about Him.

¹⁷ according as it has been written, "I have appointed you a father of many nations;" before God, whom he believed, the One making the dead live, and calling the things that are not as if they were. Gen. 17:5 ¹⁸ He against hope believed in hope, for him to become a father of many nations, according to what has been said, "So shall your seed be." Gen. 15:5 ¹⁹ And being about a hundred years old, not weakening in faith, he did not consider his body to have died already, nor yet the death of Sarah's womb, ²⁰ and did not stagger by unbelief at the promise of God, but was empowered by faith, giving glory to God, ²¹ and being fully persuaded that what He has promised, He is also able to do. ²² Because of this, "it was also counted to him for righteousness." Gen. 15:6 ²³ But it was not written for him only, that it was counted to him, ²⁴ but also on account of us, to whom it is about to be counted, to the ones believing on Him who has raised our Lord Jesus from the dead, ²⁵ who was delivered because our offenses and was raised because of our justification.

¹⁸ But we all with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord Spirit.

⁶ Because it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine," who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16

¹ A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes on You, O Dweller in Heaven.

²⁵ Answering at that time, Jesus said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of Earth, because You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes.

²¹ In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of earth, that You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes; yes, Father, because so it was pleasing before You.

¹³ And standing at a distance, the tax collector would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me, the sinner!

²⁸ Father, glorify Your name. Then a voice came out of the heaven: I both glorified it, and I will glorify it again. ²⁹ Then standing and hearing, the crowd said that thunder occurred. Others said, An angel has spoken to Him. ³⁰ Jesus answered and said, This voice has not occurred because of Me, but because of you.

⁶ Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and by petition with thanksgivings, let your requests be made known to God;

²² Then one having been demon-possessed was brought to Him, blind and dumb. And He healed him, so that the blind and dumb one could both speak and see. ²³ And all the crowds were amazed, and said, Is this not the son of David? ²⁴ But hearing, the Pharisees said, This one does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, ruler of the demons.

¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

³⁸ For I have come down out of Heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

²⁸ Then teaching, Jesus cried out in the temple, even saying, You both know Me, and you know from where I am. And I have not come from Myself, but He sending Me is true, whom you do not know. ²⁹ But I know Him, because I am from Him; and He sent Me.

¹⁶ But even if I judge, My judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent Me.

²⁹ And the One who sent Me is with Me. The Father did not leave Me alone, for I do the things pleasing to Him always.

⁴² Then Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I went forth and have come from God. For I have not come from Myself, but that One sent Me.

²⁴ Then a second time they called the man who was blind, and they said to him, Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner. ²⁵ Then he answered and said, Whether he is a sinner, I do not know. One thing I do know; that being blind, now I see. ²⁶ And they said to him again, What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes? ²⁷ He answered them, I told you already, and you did not hear. Why do you wish to hear again? Do you also desire to become disciples of Him? ²⁸ Then they reviled him and said, You are a disciple of that one, but we are disciples of Moses. ²⁹ We know that God has spoken by Moses, but this one, we do not know from where he is. ³⁰ The man answered and said to them, For there is a marvel in this, that you do not know from where He is, and He opened my eyes. ³¹ But we know that God does not hear sinful ones, but if anyone is God fearing, and does His will, He hears that one. ³² From the beginning of the age it was never heard that anyone opened the eyes of one having been born blind. ³³ If this One was not from God, He could not do anything. ³⁴ They answered and said to him, You were born wholly in sins, and do you teach us? And they threw him outside.

³⁶ do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, You blaspheme, because I said, I am Son of God? ³⁷ If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me. ³⁸ But if I do, even if you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may perceive and may believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.

²² But even now I know that whatever You may ask God, God will give You.

⁴⁵ Then many of the Jews, those coming to Mary, and having seen what Jesus did, believed into Him. ⁴⁶ But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. ⁴⁷ Then the chief priests and the Pharisees assembled a sanhedrin, and said, What are we doing, for this man does many miracles? ⁴⁸ If we let him alone this way, all will believe into him, and the Romans will come and will take away from us both the place and the nation. ⁴⁹ But a certain one of them, Caiaphas being high priest of that year, said to them, You know nothing, ⁵⁰ nor consider that it is profitable for us that one man die for the people, and not all the nation to perish.

²⁷ And My soul is troubled, and what may I say? Father, save Me out of this hour? But on this account I came to this hour.

⁸ For the words which You gave to Me, I have given to them. And they received and truly knew that I came out from beside You, and they believed that You sent Me.

²¹ that all may be one, as You are in Me, Father, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

²⁵ Righteous Father, indeed the world did not know You, but I knew You; and these have known that You sent Me.

³¹ But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

³ For the law being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law,

⁷ who in the days of His flesh was offering both petitions and entreaties to Him being able to save Him from death, with strong crying and tears, and being heard from His godly fear;

²⁵ From this also He is able to save to perfection those who come to God through Him, ever living to intercede on their behalf.

¹⁴ And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

²¹ And he stretched himself on the child three times, and called to Jehovah and said, O Jehovah my God, I beg You, let the soul of this boy return to him. ²² And Jehovah listened to the voice of Elijah, and the soul of the boy returned to him, and he lived.

³³ And he went in and shut the door on both of them, and prayed to Jehovah. ³⁴ And he went up and lay down on the boy, and put his mouth on his mouth, and his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands, and stretched himself on him. And the flesh of the boy became warm. ³⁵ And he returned, and walked in the house, once here and once there. And he went up and stretched himself on him. And the boy sneezed seven times, and the boy opened his eyes. ³⁶ And he called Gehazi and said, Call this Shunammite. And he called her, and she came in to him. And he said, Take up your son.

⁴¹ And they feared a great fear and said to one another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?

⁶ But Peter said, There is no silver and gold to me, but what I have, this I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean, rise up and walk!

¹² And seeing this, Peter answered to the people, Men, Israelites, why do you marvel at this one? Or why do you stare at us, as if by our own power or godliness we have made him to walk?

³⁴ And Peter said to him, Aeneas! Jesus the Christ heals you; rise up and spread for yourself. And instantly he rose up.

⁴⁰ And putting all out, placing the knees Peter prayed. And turning to the body he said, Tabitha, Arise! And she opened her eyes. And seeing Peter she sat up.

³ then God said, Let light be! And there was light.

⁶ Jehovah kills, and keeps alive; He brings down and causes to go to Sheol.

⁹ For He spoke, and it came into being; He commanded, and it stood fast.

⁴³ And very much He directed them that no one should know this. And He said to give her something to eat.

¹⁵ And the dead one sat up and began to speak. And He gave him to his mother.

²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live.

³⁰ I and the Father are one!

⁴⁰ Then they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linens, with the spices, as is usual with the Jews in burying.

⁵ And stooping down, he saw the linens lying; however, he did not go in.

⁷ And the grave cloth which was on His head was not lying with the linens, but was wrapped up in one place by itself.

⁹ And a certain young man named Eutychus was sitting on the window sill, being overborne by deep sleep, Paul reasoning for a longer time, having been overborne by the sleep, he fell from the third floor down and was taken up dead. ¹⁰ But going down Paul fell on him, and embracing him, he said, Do not be terrified, for his soul is in him. ¹¹ And going up, and breaking bread, and tasting, and conversing over a long time, until daybreak, he went out thus. ¹² And they brought the boy alive and were comforted not a little.

¹⁸ and the Living One; and I became dead; and, behold, I am living forever and ever. Amen. And I have the keys to Hades, and of death.

²³ And as He was in Jerusalem, at the Passover, at the Feast, many believed into His name, seeing the miracles which He did.

³¹ But many of the crowd believed into Him, and said, The Christ, when He comes will He do more miracles than these which this One did?

⁴¹ And many came to Him and said, John indeed did no miracle, but all things that John said concerning this One were true.

⁹ Then a great crowd of the Jews learned that He was there. And they did not come because of Jesus alone, but that they also might see Lazarus whom He raised from the dead. ¹⁰ But the chief priests took counsel that they might put Lazarus to death also, ¹¹ because through him many of the Jews went away and believed into Jesus.

¹⁷ Then the crowd which was with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, witnessed. ¹⁸ Because of this also the crowd met Him, because it heard of this miracle He had done. ¹⁹ Then the Pharisees said to themselves, Observe that you gain nothing. Behold, the world has gone after Him.

⁴² Still, however, even out of the rulers, many did believe into Him. But because of the Pharisees, they were not confessing, so that they not be put out of the synagogue.

³⁰ But he said, No, father Abraham, but if one should go from the dead to them, they will repent. ³¹ And he said to him, If they will not hear Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if one from the dead should rise.

¹⁵ The man went away and told the Jews that Jesus is the One making him well. ¹⁶ And because of this, the Jews persecuted Jesus and lusted to kill Him, because He did these things on a sabbath.

¹³ They brought him to the Pharisees, the one once blind.

³⁷ But though He had done so many miracles before them, they did not believe into Him,

²⁵ But having come, one reported to them, saying, Behold, the men whom you put in the prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people.

² The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His anointed, saying, ³ We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us. ⁴ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them.

²² But I say to you, Everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be liable to the Judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raca, shall be liable to the sanhedrin; but whoever says, Fool! shall be liable to be thrown into the fire of Hell.

³ Then the chief priests and the scribes and the elders of the people were assembled to the court of the high priest, the one named Caiaphas.

¹ And it becoming early morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel together against Jesus, so as to put Him to death. ² And binding Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

¹ And it was the Passover, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread after two days. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might get hold of Him by guile, to kill Him .

² And the chief priests and the scribes sought how to destroy Him; for they feared the people.

⁵⁷ And all the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commands that if anyone knew where He is, he should inform so that they might seize Him.

¹⁹ Then the Pharisees said to themselves, Observe that you gain nothing. Behold, the world has gone after Him.

⁵ And it happened on the morrow that the rulers and elders and scribes gathered into Jerusalem; ⁶ also Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the high priestly family.

¹⁶ saying, What may we do to these men? For that a notable miracle indeed has occurred through them is plain to all those living in Jerusalem, and we are not able to deny it. ¹⁷ But that it may not be spread abroad further to the people, let us threaten them with a threat that they no longer speak on this name to any one of men.

²⁷ For truly both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed, ²⁸ to do whatever Your hand and Your counsel before-determined to be done.

²¹ And hearing, they went into the temple about dawn and taught. But having come near, the high priest and those with him called together the sanhedrin and all the elderhood of the sons of Israel. And they sent to the jail to have them brought.

²⁴ And when they heard these words, both the priest and the temple commander and the chief priests were in doubt concerning them, what this might be.

⁵⁰ a nation fierce of face, who will not regard the person of the aged, nor show favor to the young. ⁵¹ And he shall eat the fruit of your livestock, and the fruit of your land, until you are destroyed. He shall not leave to you grain, new wine, and oil, offspring of your oxen, or young ones of your flock, until he has destroyed you. ⁵² And he shall lay siege to you in all your gates, until your high and fortified walls in which you are trusting come down, in all your land; yea, he shall lay siege to you in all your gates, in all your land which Jehovah your God has given to you. ⁵³ And you shall eat the fruit of your body, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom Jehovah your God has given to you, in the siege, and in the anguish with which your enemies shall distress you. ⁵⁴ The man who is tender and very delicate among you, and his eye shall be evil against his brother, and against the wife of his bosom, and against the remnant of his sons which he has left; ⁵⁵ so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his sons that he shall eat, because he has nothing left to him in the siege, and in the anguish with which your enemies shall distress you in all your gates. ⁵⁶ The tender and delicate woman among you, who would not have ventured to set the sole of her foot on the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil against the husband of her bosom, and against her son, and against her daughter; ⁵⁷ and against her fetus which comes out from between her feet, even against her sons whom she shall bear. For she shall eat them in secret, for the lack of everything in the siege and in the anguish with which the enemy shall distress you within your gates. ⁵⁸ If you will not take heed to do all the words of this law written in this book, to fear this glorious and fearful Name, Jehovah your God, ⁵⁹ then Jehovah will make your plagues remarkable, and the plagues of your children shall be great and persistent plagues with evil and long lasting sicknesses. ⁶⁰ He shall also bring on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid; and they shall cling to you. ⁶¹ Also every sickness and every plague which is not written in the book of this law, Jehovah shall cause them to come on you until you are destroyed. ⁶² And you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of the heavens for multitude, because you would not obey the voice of Jehovah your God. ⁶³ And it shall be, as Jehovah rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so Jehovah shall rejoice over you to destroy you, and to lay you waste. And you shall be plucked from the land you are going to possess. ⁶⁴ And Jehovah shall scatter you among all people, from one end of the earth even to the other, and you shall serve other gods there, wood and stone, which you have not known, nor your fathers. ⁶⁵ And among these nations you shall find no ease, nor shall the sole of your foot have rest. But Jehovah shall give you there a trembling heart and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind. ⁶⁶ And your life shall hang in doubt before you, and you shall fear day and night, and shall have no assurance of your life. ⁶⁷ In the morning you shall say, Oh that it were evening! And in the evening you shall say, Oh that it were morning! For the fear of your heart with which you fear, and for the sight of your eyes which you shall see. ⁶⁸ And Jehovah shall bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I said to you, You shall never see it again. And you shall be sold to your enemies there, for male slaves and slave-girls; and there shall be no buyer.

²⁶ And after sixty two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end shall be with the flood, and ruins are determined, and war shall be until the end. ²⁷ And he shall confirm a covenant with the many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. And on a wing of the altar will be abominations that desolate, even until the end. And that which was decreed shall pour out on the desolator.

⁷ O sword, awake against My Shepherd, and against the Man who is My companion, says Jehovah of hosts. Strike the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered. And I will turn My hand against the little ones. ⁸ And it shall be in all the land, says Jehovah, two parts in it shall be cut off and perish, but the third shall be left in it.

¹ Behold, the day of Jehovah comes, and your spoil shall be divided among you. ² For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem. And the city shall be captured, and the houses plundered, and the women ravished. And half the city shall go into exile and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

⁴⁰ Therefore, when the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to these vinedressers? ⁴¹ They said to Him, Bad men! He will miserably destroy them, and he will rent out the vineyard to other vinedressers who will give to him the fruits in their seasons. ⁴² Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, "A Stone which the builders rejected is the One that has become the head of the corner. This was from the Lord, and it is a wonder in our eyes?" Psa. 118:22, 23

⁷ And hearing, the king became angry. And sending his armies, he destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

³⁵ so that should come on you all the righteous blood poured out on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Berechiah whom you murdered between the Holy Place and the altar. ³⁶ Truly I say to you, All these things will come on this generation. ³⁷ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those sent to her. How often I desired to gather your children in the way a bird gathers her chicks under her wings! And you did not desire it. ³⁸ Behold, "your house is left to you desolate." Jer. 22:5

²⁵ And answering, all the people said, His blood be on us and on our children.

¹² And those by the roadside are those who hear, then the Devil comes and takes away the Word from their heart, lest believing they may be saved.

⁵² Woe to you, lawyers! Because you took the key of knowledge; you yourselves did not enter, and you kept out the ones entering.

⁴¹ And as He drew near, seeing the city, He wept over it, ⁴² saying, If you had known, even you, even at least in this day of yours, the things for your peace! But now they were hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ For the days will come on you, and your enemies will raise up a rampart to you and will surround you and will keep you in on every side, ⁴⁴ and will tear you down, and your children in you, and will not leave a stone on a stone, because you did not know the time of your visitation.

²⁰ And when you see Jerusalem being encircled by armies, then recognize that its destruction has come near. ²¹ Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains; and those in its midst, let them go out. And those in the open spaces, let them not go into her. ²² For these are days of vengeance when all things that have been written are to be fulfilled. ²³ But woe to the pregnant women, and the ones suckling in those days; for great distress will be on the earth and wrath on this people. ²⁴ And they will fall by the mouth of the sword and will be led captive to all the nations. And Jerusalem will be trodden down by nations, until the times of the nations are fulfilled.

²⁸ And turning to them, Jesus said, Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep over Me, but weep over yourselves and over your children. ²⁹ For behold, days will come in which they will say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that did not bear, and breasts that did not suckle. ³⁰ "Then they will begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us! And to the hills, Cover us!" Hosea 10:8 ³¹ For if they do these things in the green tree, what may take place in the dry?

⁷ He came for a witness, that he might witness concerning the Light, that all might believe through Him.

²⁸ saying, Did we not command you by a command that you not teach in this name? And, behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine and intend to bring on us the blood of this man.

³⁸ And now I say to you, draw away from these men and permit them; because if this counsel is of men, or this work, it will be destroyed. ³⁹ But if it is from God, you will not be able to destroy it, lest you be found even fighters against God. ⁴⁰ And they obeyed him. And having called the apostles, beating them, they commanded not to speak on the name of Jesus, and let them go.

¹⁵ who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, also driving us out, and not pleasing God, and being contrary to all men, ¹⁶ hindering us from speaking to the nations in order that they be saved, to fill up their sins always. But the wrath has come on them to the uttermost.

¹² Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

²⁰ Woe to those who say to evil, good; and to good, evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! ²¹ Woe to those wise in their own eyes, and discerning in their own sight! ²² Woe to those mighty to drink wine, and brave men to mix fermented drink; ²³ who justify the wicked for a bribe, and turn aside the righteousness of the righteous from him!

² upon the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came on John the son of Zacharias in the desert.

⁴⁸ Not any from the rulers or from the Pharisees believed into him? ⁴⁹ But not knowing the Law, this crowd is cursed.

⁵¹ But he did not say this from himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was about to die on behalf of the nation,

¹³ And they led Him away first to Annas, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest of that year. ¹⁴ And Caiaphas was the one who had given counsel to the Jews that it was advantageous for one man to perish for the people.

⁶ also Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the high priestly family.

²⁰ Where is the wise? Where the scribe? Where the lawyer of this world? Did God not make the wisdom of this world foolish?

⁶ But we speak wisdom among the perfect, but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, those being brought to nothing.

¹⁸ Let no one deceive himself, if anyone thinks to be wise among you in this age, let him become foolish, that he may become wise. ¹⁹ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it has been written, "He takes the wise in their own craftiness." Job 5:13

⁸ And not (as we are wrongly accused, and as some report us to say), Let us do bad things so that good things may come, the judgment of whom is just.

³⁰ And you shall put the Urim and the Thummim into the breast pocket of judgment; and they shall be on the heart of Aaron in his going before the face of Jehovah. And Aaron shall bear the judgment of the sons of Israel on his heart before the face of Jehovah continually.

²⁸ And Jehovah opened the mouth of the ass, and she said to Balaam, What have I done to you that you have struck me these three times?

² And Balaam lifted up his eyes and saw Israel camping, by its tribes. And the Spirit of God was on him.

¹⁴ And now, behold, I go to my people. Come, and I will counsel you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days. ¹⁵ And he took up his parable and said, The saying of Balaam the son of Beor, and the saying of the man whose eyes are opened; ¹⁶ the saying of him who hears the words of God, and knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, yet with open eyes: ¹⁷ I shall see him, but not now; I shall behold him, but not near. ²⁷ And the sons of Israel asked of Jehovah (and the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days, ²⁸ and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron was standing before it in those days) saying, Shall I again go out to battle with the sons of my brother Benjamin, or shall I cease? And Jehovah said, Go up, for tomorrow I will give him into your hand.

⁹ But David knew that Saul was devising evil against him. And he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring the ephod near.

⁶ And Saul asked of Jehovah, but Jehovah did not answer him, either by dreams, or by Urim, or by prophets.

⁵ But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His wounds we ourselves are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have each one turned to his own way; and Jehovah made meet in Him the iniquity of all of us. ⁷ He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, but He did not open His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a ewe before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth. ⁸ He was taken from prison and from justice; and who shall consider His generation? ²⁸ Even as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

¹⁵ Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a showing forth of His righteousness through the passing by of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God, ²⁶ for the showing forth of His righteousness in the present time, for His being just and justifying the one that is of the faith of Jesus.

² And if I have prophecies, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

²¹ For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

¹³ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it has been written, "Cursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;" Deut. 21:23

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law, ⁵ that He might redeem the ones under law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

²⁴ who "Himself bore in His body our sins" onto the tree; that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness; of whom, "by His wound, you were healed.

¹⁸ Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God; indeed being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit;

¹⁵ forsaking a straight path, they went astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness, ¹⁶ but had reproof of his own transgression, the dumb ass speaking in a man's voice held back the madness of the prophet. ¹⁷ These are springs without water, clouds being driven by tempest, for whom the blackness of darkness is kept forever.

¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the lawmaker from between his feet, until Shiloh come, and the obedience of the peoples to him.

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue clings to My jaws;

²⁷ All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn back to Jehovah; and all the families of the nations shall worship before You.

¹⁹ And blessed is His glorious name forever; and the whole earth is filled with His glory! Amen and amen!

²² when the peoples and the kingdoms are gathered together to serve Jehovah. ²³ He diminished my strength in the way; He shortened my days.

¹⁰ And it shall be in that day, the Root of Jesse stands as a banner of peoples; nations shall seek to Him; and His resting place shall be glory. ¹¹ And it shall be in that day, the Lord shall again set His hand, the second time, to recover the remnant of His people that remains, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Ethiopia, and from Persia, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the coasts of the sea. ¹² And He shall lift up a banner for the nations, and shall gather the outcasts of Israel, and gather those dispersed from Judah, from the four wings of the earth.

⁶ And He said, It is too little that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light of the nations, that You may be My salvation to the end of the earth.

¹⁸ Lift up your eyes all around and see! They all gather and come to you. As I live, says Jehovah, you shall surely wear all of them as an ornament, and bind them on as a bride.

⁵ Behold, You shall call a nation You do not know; yea, a nation not knowing You shall run to You, because of Jehovah Your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified You.

⁸ states the Lord Jehovah, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, I will yet gather beside him his gathered ones.

⁴ Lift up your eyes all around and see; they are all assembling; they are coming to you. Your sons shall come from far away, and your daughters shall be supported on the side.

¹⁶ Therefore, say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Though I have sent them far off among the nations, and though I scattered them among the lands, yet I was to them as a little sanctuary in the countries there where they had gone. ¹⁷ So the Lord Jehovah says this: I shall gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the lands, in those where you were scattered, and I shall give to you the land of Israel.

¹² As a shepherd seeks his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so I will seek out My sheep and will deliver them from all the places where they were scattered in a day of cloud and thick cloud.

¹⁰ Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which is not measured nor numbered. And it shall be, in the place where it is said to them, You are not My people, it shall be said to them, Sons of the Living God.

³¹ But when the Son of man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. ³² And before Him shall be gathered all the nations; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. ³³ And indeed He will set the sheep off His right, but the goats off the left hand . ³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right, Come, the blessed of My Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

³² a Light for revelation to the nations, and the Glory of Your people Israel.

²⁹ On the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world!

¹⁶ And I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock, one Shepherd.

³² And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to Myself.

¹⁰ because I am with you, and no one shall set on you to oppress you; because there is much people to Me in this city.

²⁹ Or is He the God of Jews only, and not also of the nations? Yes, of the nations also,

²⁹ because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers. ³⁰ But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; but whom He justified, these He also glorified.

²⁵ As also He says in Hosea, I will call those not My people, My people! And those not beloved, Beloved! Hosea 2:23 ²⁶ "And it shall be, in the place where it was said to them, You are not My people, there they will be called, Sons of the living God." LXX-Hos. 2:1; MT-Hos. 2:23

⁵ predestinating us to adoption through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

⁹ making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, ¹⁰ for the administration of the fullness of the times to head up all things in Christ, both the things in the heavens, and the things on earth, in Him,

¹⁴ For He is our peace, He making us both one, and breaking down the middle wall of partition, ¹⁵ in His flesh causing to cease the enmity, the Law of the commandments in decrees, that He might in Himself create the two into one new man, making peace, ¹⁶ and might reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, slaying the enmity in Himself. ¹⁷ And coming, He proclaimed "peace to you, the ones afar off, and to the ones near." Isa. 57:19 ¹⁸ For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. ¹⁹ So, then, you are no longer strangers and tenants, but you are fellow citizens of the saints and of the household of God, ²⁰ being built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the cornerstone, ²¹ in whom every building having been fitted together grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord, ²² in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

¹¹ according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,

²⁰ and through Him making peace by the blood of His cross, to reconcile all things to Himself; through Him, whether the things on the earth, or the things in the heavens. ²¹ And you then being alienated and enemies in your mind by evil works, yet now He reconciled ²² in the body of His flesh, through death, to present you holy and without blemish and without charge before Him, ²³ if indeed you continue in the faith grounded and settled and not being moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard proclaimed in all the creation under Heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

¹³ But we ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth, ¹⁴ to which He called you through our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹ James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the Dispersion, greeting:

¹ Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, of Galatia, of Cappadocia, of Asia, and of Bithynia,

² And He is the propitiation relating to our sins, and not relating to ours only, but also relating to all the world.

⁹ And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy are You to receive the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and by Your blood purchased us to God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

⁹ After these things I saw, and behold, a great crowd which no one was able to number them, out of every nation, even tribes and peoples and tongues standing in front of the throne, and before the Lamb, having been clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands. ¹⁰ And they cry with a great voice, saying, Salvation to our God sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb.

¹⁶ And it happened, from that time on, half of my servants worked in the work, and the other half of them were holding the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the scale-armor. And the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.

²¹ Then I testified against them and said to them, Why are you staying around the wall? If you do it again, I will send a hand against you. From that time they did not come on the Sabbath.

² The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His anointed, saying,

¹³ For I have heard the slander of many; fear is all around; because of their plottings together against me, they planned to take away my life.

¹⁰ For my enemies speak against me; and those who lurk for my soul plot together.

⁴ In return for my love, they are my enemies; but I am in prayer. ⁵ And they put on me evil for good; and hatred for my love.

² Blessed is the name of Jehovah from now on and forevermore.

⁴ And the rulers said to the king, Please let this man be put to death. For in this way he weakens the hands of the men of war who remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking these words to them. For this man does not seek the peace of this people, but the evil.

¹⁵ And Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, If I declare it to you, will you not surely put me to death? And if I counsel you, you will not listen to me.

²¹ From that time, Jesus began to show to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised on the third day.

⁴⁶ And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor did anyone dare from that day to question Him any more.

⁵⁹ And the chief priests and the elders and the whole sanhedrin looked for false testimony against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death,

⁶ And going out, the Pharisees at once took counsel with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

⁴⁷ Then the chief priests and the Pharisees assembled a sanhedrin, and said, What are we doing, for this man does many miracles?

¹⁰ But the chief priests took counsel that they might put Lazarus to death also,

³³ But those hearing were cut, and they took counsel to do away with them.

²³ And when many days were fulfilled, the Jews plotted together to do away with him.

²³ And after two years it happened that Absalom had shearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim. And Absalom called to all the sons of the king.

¹⁹ And Abijah pursued Jeroboam and captured cities from him: Bethel and its villages, and Jeshanah and its villages, and Ephrain and its villages.

¹ Then when the Lord knew that the Pharisees heard that Jesus made more disciples and baptized more than John ² (though truly Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples), ³ He left Judea and went away into Galilee again.

¹ And after these things Jesus was walking in Galilee; for He did not desire to walk in Judea, because the Jews were lusting to kill Him.

⁴ for no one does anything in secret and himself seeks to be in public. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.

¹⁰ But when His brothers went up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as in secret.

¹³ However, no one publicly spoke about Him, because of the fear of the Jews.

⁴⁰ And He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John was at first baptizing and remained there.

²⁰ Jesus answered him, I publicly spoke to the world; I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple where the Jews always come together, and I spoke nothing in secret.

² And Jacob said to his house, and to all those with him, Put away the strange gods in your midst, and purify yourselves, and change your clothing.

¹¹ And you shall eat it this way: with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Passover to Jehovah. ¹² And I will pass through in the land of Egypt in this night. And I will strike every first born in the land of Egypt, from man even to livestock. And I will execute judgments on all the gods of Egypt. I am Jehovah! ¹³ And the blood shall be a sign to you, on the houses where you are . And I will see the blood, and I will pass over you. And the plague shall not be on you to destroy, when I strike in the land of Egypt. ¹⁴ And the day shall be a memorial for you. And you shall celebrate it as a feast to Jehovah, for your generations. You shall celebrate it as a law forever.

¹⁰ And Jehovah said to Moses, Go to the people and sanctify them today and tomorrow. And let them wash their clothes.

¹⁴ And Moses went from the mountain to the people. And he sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes. ¹⁵ And he said to the people, Be ready for the third day. Do not approach a woman.

⁶ And there were men who had been defiled by the body of a man, and they had not been able to prepare the Passover on that day. And they came near before Moses, and before Aaron on that day.

⁵ And he said, Peace! I have come to sacrifice to Jehovah. Sanctify yourselves and you shall come to me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

¹⁷ For many in the assembly had not sanctified themselves, and the Levites were over the slaughtering of the passover offerings for everyone not clean, to sanctify them to Jehovah. ¹⁸ For many of the people, many from Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun had not been cleansed, but ate the passover otherwise than was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, O good Jehovah, provide atonement for ¹⁹ everyone who has prepared his heart to seek Jehovah God, the God of his fathers, yet not according to the cleansing of the sanctuary. ²⁰ And Jehovah listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

¹ And when the seventh month had come, and the sons of Israel were in the cities, the people assembled as one man to Jerusalem. ² Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak stood up, and his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brothers, and built the altar of the God of Israel in order to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God. ³ And they set the altar on its bases, for fear was on them because of the people of those countries. And he offered burnt offerings on it to Jehovah, burnt offerings morning and evening. ⁴ They also performed the Feast of Booths, as it is written, and the burnt offerings by number, days by days, according to the ordinance, the thing of days in its day. ⁵ And afterward the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of Jehovah that were set apart, and of everyone who willingly offered a freewill offering to Jehovah. ⁶ From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to Jehovah. But the foundation of the temple of Jehovah was not laid.

¹ And all the people gathered as one man into the plaza before the Water Gate. And they spoke to Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which Jehovah had commanded to Israel. ² And Ezra the priest brought the Law before the congregation, both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month. ³ And he read in it before the plaza before the Water Gate, from the morning until noon, before the men and the women, and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people listened to the Book of the Law. ⁴ And Ezra the scribe stood on a pulpit of wood which they had made for the purpose. And beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand were Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam. ⁵ And Ezra opened the book to the eyes of all the people, for he was above all the people. And when he opened it, all the people stood up. ⁶ And Ezra blessed Jehovah, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, lifting up their hands. And they bowed and worshiped to Jehovah with their noses to the ground. ⁷ And Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the Law. And the people were in their place. ⁸ And they read aloud clearly in the Book of the Law of God, and they gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. ⁹ And Nehemiah the governor, and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who taught the people, said to all the people, This day is holy to Jehovah your God. Do not mourn or weep, For all the people wept when they heard the words of the Law. ¹⁰ Then he said to them, Go eat the fat, and drink of the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be sorry, for the joy of Jehovah is your stronghold. ¹¹ And the Levites were silencing all the people, saying, Be quiet, for today is holy, and do not be grieved. ¹² And all the people went to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words which were made known to them.

⁵ And it happened, when the day of feasting had gone around, Job would send and sanctify them. And he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt sacrifices according to all their number. For Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. This Job always did.

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocency; so I will go around Your altar, O Jehovah,

¹ And it happened, when Jesus finished all these sayings, He said to His disciples,

⁶ And there were six stone waterpots standing, according to the purification of the Jews, each containing two or three measures.

¹³ And the Passover of the Jews was near. And Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

¹ After these things, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

⁴ And the Passover was near, the feast of the Jews.

⁸ You go up to this feast. I am not yet going up to the feast, for My time has not yet been fulfilled. ⁹ And saying these things to them, He remained in Galilee. ¹⁰ But when His brothers went up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as in secret.

¹ Then six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had died, whom He raised from the dead.

¹ And before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He should move from this world to the Father, loving His own in the world, He loved them to the end.

²⁸ Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas into the praetorium, and it was early. And they did not enter into the praetorium that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover.

¹⁸ among which they found me purified in the temple, not with a crowd, nor with tumult, but by some Jews from Asia,

²⁸ But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and let him drink of the cup;

¹³ For if the blood of bulls and goats, and ashes of a heifer sprinkling those having been defiled, sanctifies to the purity of the flesh, ¹⁴ by how much more the blood of Christ (who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God), will purify your conscience from dead works for the serving of the living God!

⁸ Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners! And purify your hearts, double minded ones!

¹¹ Then the Jews sought Him in the feast, and said, Where is He?

⁷ Then after this He said to the disciples, Let us go to Judea again. ⁸ The disciples said to Him, Rabbi, just now the Jews were seeking to stone You, and do You go there again?

⁴ In return for my love, they are my enemies; but I am in prayer.

¹⁶ And because of this, the Jews persecuted Jesus and lusted to kill Him, because He did these things on a sabbath. ¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, My Father works until now, and I work. ¹⁸ Because of this, therefore, the Jews lusted the more to kill Him, for not only did He break the sabbath, but also called God His own Father, making Himself equal to God.

²² His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should confess Him as Christ, he would be expelled from the synagogue.
