¹¹ For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, Peace, peace! And there is no peace.

⁶ And the king of Israel gathered the prophets, about four hundred men, and said to them, Shall I go to battle against Ramoth-gilead, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up, that the Lord may give it into the hand of the king.

¹³ And the messenger that had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets with one mouth are good to the king. Please let your word be as the word of one of them, and speak good.

¹⁴ They have also healed the break of My people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.

¹⁴ And Jehovah said to me, The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I did not send them and I have not commanded them, nor did I speak to them. They prophesy to you a false vision, and a worthless divination, and the deceit of their heart. ¹⁵ So Jehovah says this concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, and I did not send them; yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land: By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.

⁹ As for you, do not listen to your prophets, or to your fortune tellers, or to your dreams, or to your conjurers, or to your sorcerers, those who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon. ¹⁰ For they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, that I should drive you out, and you should perish.

³ Within two years I will again bring into this place all the vessels of the house of Jehovah which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried them to Babylon. ⁴ And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the exiles of Judah who went into Babylon, says Jehovah. For I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. ⁵ Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in the house of Jehovah, ⁶ even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen! May Jehovah do so; may Jehovah confirm your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the house of Jehovah, and all the exiles, from Babylon into this place. ⁷ But hear now this word that I speak in your ears and in the ears of all the people: ⁸ The prophets who have been before me and before you from antiquity prophesied against many lands and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of plague. ⁹ As for the prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, the prophet shall be known as one whom Jehovah has truly sent him.

¹⁴ Your prophets have seen false and foolish things for you; and they have not revealed your iniquity, to turn back your captivity. Yea, they visioned for you burdens of falsehood and seductions.

¹⁰ Because, even because they made My people go astray, saying, Peace! and there was no peace. And he builds a wall, and, behold, others daubed it with lime. ¹¹ Say to those daubing with lime, Yea, it will fall. There will be a flooding rain; and you, O hailstones, shall fall, and a raging wind shall break. ¹² And, behold, when the wall has fallen, it shall not be said to you, Where is the daubing with which you have daubed? ¹³ So the Lord Jehovah says this: I will even break in My fury with a raging wind. And there shall be a flooding rain in My anger, and hailstones in fury, to consume it. ¹⁴ And I will break down the wall that you have daubed with lime and bring it down to the ground; yea, I will bare its base. And it shall fall, and you will be consumed in its midst. And you shall know that I am Jehovah. ¹⁵ And I will fulfill My wrath in the wall, and in those who daubed it with lime. And I will say to you, The wall is not; and, Those who daubed are not, ¹⁶ the prophets of Israel who prophesy as to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her. And there is no peace, declares the Lord Jehovah.

²² Because you have saddened the heart of the righteous with lies, and I have not made him sad, and you have made the hands of the wicked strong, so that he should not turn from his evil way, to keep him alive.

¹¹ If a man walks with wind, and he lies in deceit, saying, I will drop words to you for wine and for fermented drink, he shall even be a dropper of words for this people.
