¹⁰ If you will still remain in this land, then I will build you up, and will not tear you down. And I will plant you, and will not pluck you up. For I repent as to the evil that I have done to you.

² And Jehovah appeared to him and said, Do not go down into Egypt; stay in the land which I shall say to you. ³ Stay in this land, and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your seed I will give all these lands. And I will cause to rise My oath which I swore to your father Abraham.

¹⁴ And Jehovah was moved to pity concerning the evil which He had spoken to do to His people.

³⁶ For Jehovah will bring His people justice; and He shall have compassion on His servants, for He sees that their power is gone, and only the imprisoned and abandoned remain .

¹⁸ And when Jehovah raised up judges to them, then Jehovah was with the judge, and rescued them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge. For Jehovah took pity because of their groaning before their oppressors, and those that crushed them.

¹⁶ And the angel put forth his hand to Jerusalem, to destroy it. And Jehovah repented as to the evil, and said to the angel who was destroying among the people, Enough! Now drop your hand. And the angel of Jehovah was near the threshing-floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

³ Trust in Jehovah and do good; live in the land and feed on faithfulness.

³⁵ For God will save Zion; and He will build the cities of Judah, and they shall live there and possess it.

¹⁶ When Jehovah shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory.

⁴⁵ He remembered His covenant for them, and breathed a sigh, according to His many mercies.

⁷ The instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, or to break down, or to destroy; ⁸ if that nation against whom I have spoken will turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to it. ⁹ And the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; ¹⁰ if it does evil in My eye, not to obey My voice, then I will repent of the good which I had said to do good to it.

⁶ For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land. And I will build them and not tear down; and I will plant them, and will not pluck up.

¹⁹ Did Hezekiah, king of Judah and all Judah indeed put him to death? Did he not fear Jehovah and entreat the face of Jehovah? And did not Jehovah repent of the evil which He had spoken against them? So we are doing great evil against our souls.

²⁸ And it shall be, as I have watched over them to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to bring calamity; so I will watch over them to build, and to plant, says Jehovah.

⁷ And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

³⁶ And the nations left all around you shall know that I, Jehovah, built the razed places and planted that which was desolated. I, Jehovah have spoken it and will do it.

⁸ How shall I give you up, Ephraim? Shall I deliver you, Israel? How shall I make you like Admah? Shall I set you as Zeboim? My heart has turned within Me; My compassions are kindled together.

¹³ Yea, tear your heart, and not your robes; and turn to Jehovah your God. For He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He pities concerning the evil.

³ Jehovah repented concerning this: It shall not be, says Jehovah.

¹⁰ And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. And God was compassionate over the evil that He had declared to do to them, and He did not do it .

² And he prayed to Jehovah, and said, Please, O Jehovah, was this not my word while I was on my own land? On account of this, I fled to Tarshish before, for I knew that You are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and One who repents over calamity.

¹⁶ After these things "I" will return and "will build again the tabernacle of David which has fallen," "and I will build again the things which have been demolished," and I will set it up, Amos 9:11, 12
