¹³ And you shall know that I am Jehovah when their slain shall be in the midst of their idols all around their altars, on every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every leafy oak, (the place where they offered there a soothing aroma to all their idols).

¹² And I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of the lands that are desolate, and her cities shall be desolate among the wasted cities forty years. And I will disperse Egypt among the nations and sow them among the lands.

¹⁷ The young men of Aven and Pibeseth shall fall by the sword, and they shall go into captivity. ¹⁸ At Tahpanhes, the day will be held back when I shatter there the yokes of Egypt. And the pride of her strength shall cease in her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

²³ And I will scatter Egypt among the nations, and will sow them through the lands.

⁴² And his hand will stretch out against the lands, and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
