¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, Come, go up from here, you and the people whom you have caused to go up out from the land of Egypt, to the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, I will give it to your seed. ² And I will send an angel before your face, and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite; ³ to a land flowing with milk and honey. For I will not go up among you, for you are a stiffnecked people, lest I consume you in the way. ⁴ And the people heard this evil word, and they mourned, and did not put any ornaments on themselves. ⁵ And Jehovah said to Moses, Say to the sons of Israel, You are a stiffnecked people; in one instant I will go up among you and I will consume you. And now lay off from you your ornaments, that I may know what I shall do to you. ⁶ And the sons of Israel pulled off their ornaments, from Mount Horeb. ⁷ And Moses took the tent and pitched it outside the camp, far off from the camp. And he called it the tabernacle of the congregation. And it happened that everyone seeking Jehovah went to the tabernacle of the congregation which was outside the camp. ⁸ And it happened as Moses went to the tabernacle, the people all rose and stood, each one at the door of his tent. And they looked after Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle. ⁹ And it happened as Moses went into the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud would come down and stand at the door of the tabernacle. And He spoke with Moses. ¹⁰ And all the people would see the pillar of the cloud standing at the door of the tabernacle. And all the people rose and bowed themselves, each one at the door of his tent. ¹¹ And Jehovah would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp. And his attendant, Joshua the son of Nun, a young man did not leave the middle of the tabernacle. ¹² And Moses said to Jehovah, Behold, You are saying to me, Cause this people to go up. And You, You have not told me whom You will send with me. And yet You have said, I know you by name, and also you have found favor in My eyes. ¹³ And now, if I have found favor in Your eyes, please make me see Your ways, and let me know You, so that I may find favor in Your eyes; and consider that this nation is Your people. ¹⁴ And He said, My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. ¹⁵ And the said to Him, If Your presence does not go, do not cause us to go up from here. ¹⁶ And now by what can it be known that I and Your people have found favor in Your eyes? Is it not in Your going with us? And we are distinguished, I and Your people, from all the nations which are on the face of the earth? ¹⁷ And Jehovah said to Moses, This thing which you have spoken I will do. For you have found favor in My eyes, and I know you by name. ¹⁸ And he said, I pray, let me see Your glory. ¹⁹ And He said, I will cause all My goodness to pass before your face. And I will call out the name of Jehovah before your face. And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy. ²⁰ And he said, You are not able to see My face; for no man can see Me and live. ²¹ And Jehovah said, Behold, a place by Me! And you shall stand on a rock. ²² And as My glory is passing it will be that I will put you in a cleft of the rock; and I will cover My palm over you during My passing. ²³ And I will remove My palm, and you shall see My back; but My face cannot be seen.

⁷ And Jehovah appeared to Abram and said I will give this land to your seed. And he built an altar there to Jehovah, who appeared to him.

¹⁴ And after Lot had separated from him, Jehovah said to Abram, Now lift up your eyes and look northward and southward and eastward and westward from the place where you are. ¹⁵ For all the land which you see I will give to you, and to your seed forever. ¹⁶ And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, then your seed also will be counted. ¹⁷ Rise up! Walk through the land, in its length and in its breadth, for I will give it to you.

¹⁸ On that day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying, I have given this land to your seed, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,

¹⁶ And He said, I have sworn by Myself, declares Jehovah, that on account of this thing you have done, and not have withheld your son, your only son, ¹⁷ that blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is on the shore of the sea. And your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies. ¹⁸ And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because you have obeyed My voice.

³ Stay in this land, and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your seed I will give all these lands. And I will cause to rise My oath which I swore to your father Abraham.

¹³ And, behold, Jehovah stood above it and said, I am Jehovah the God of your father Abraham, and the God of Isaac; the land on which you are lying, I will give it to you and to your seed. ¹⁴ And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and all the families of the earth shall be blessed in you and in your seed. ¹⁵ And, behold, I will be with you and will guard you in every place in which you may go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not forsake you until I have surely done that which I have spoken to you.

³ And the people thirsted there for water, and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Why, then, have you caused us to go up from Egypt, to kill me and my sons and my livestock with thirst?

¹ And the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain. And the people gathered to Aaron. And they said to him, Rise up, make for us gods who may go before our face. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.

⁷ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, Come, go down, for your people whom you caused to go up from Egypt are corrupted;

¹³ Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself, and You spoke to them, I will multiply your seed like the stars of the heavens, and all this land which I have said, I will give to your seed. And they shall possess it forever.

³⁴ And now go, lead the people to that place which I have spoken to you. Behold, My Angel shall go before your face. And in the day of My visitation I will visit their sin on them.

⁸ And I have come down to deliver them from the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and broad land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Jebusite.

¹⁷ And I have said, I will bring you up from the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite; to a land flowing with milk and honey.

²⁰ Behold, I am about to send an Angel before you, to guard you in the way, and to bring you to the place which I have prepared.

²⁷ I will send My terror before you, and I will confound all the people among whom you come. And I will give the neck of your enemies to you. ²⁸ And I will send hornets before you which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite before you. ²⁹ I will not drive them out from before you in one year, that the land not become a waste, and the beast of the field multiply on you. ³⁰ I will drive them out before you little by little, until you are fruitful and possess the land. ³¹ And I will set your border from the Sea of Reeds as far as the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness as far as the River. For I will give the people of the land into your hand. And you shall drive them out before you.

¹¹ Take heed for yourself what I am commanding you today. Behold, I am about to drive out from before your face the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

²² And Jehovah your God will clear out those nations before you by little and little. You may not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon you.

¹¹ And you crossed over the Jordan and came to Jericho. And the masters of Jericho fought against you, the Amorite and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I gave them into your hand.

⁵ And it shall be when Jehovah brings you into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which He swore to your fathers to give to you, a land flowing with milk and honey, you shall do this service in this month.

²¹ Be on guard before Him, and listen to His voice. Do not be rebellious against Him, for He will not forgive your transgressions; for My name is in Him.

⁹ And Jehovah said to Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people. ¹⁰ And now leave Me alone that My anger may glow against them, that I may consume them. And I will make you a great nation.

¹⁴ And Jehovah was moved to pity concerning the evil which He had spoken to do to His people.

¹⁵ And the said to Him, If Your presence does not go, do not cause us to go up from here. ¹⁶ And now by what can it be known that I and Your people have found favor in Your eyes? Is it not in Your going with us? And we are distinguished, I and Your people, from all the nations which are on the face of the earth? ¹⁷ And Jehovah said to Moses, This thing which you have spoken I will do. For you have found favor in My eyes, and I know you by name.

⁹ And he said, If now I have found favor in Your eyes, O lord, please let my lord go in our midst, for it is a stiffnecked people; and You forgive our iniquity and our sin, and take us as a possession.

²⁴ But I have said to you, You shall surely possess their land; and, I, I am giving it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey; I am Jehovah your God, who has set you apart from the nations.

²⁷ And they reported to him and said, We came to the land where you sent us, and it surely does flow with milk and honey; and this is its fruit.

⁸ If Jehovah has delighted in us, then He will bring us into this land and will give it to us, a land which is flowing with milk and honey.

¹² I shall strike it with pestilence and dispossess it. And I will make you a nation greater and mightier than it.

¹³ Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, but must you also certainly seize dominion over us?

²¹ separate yourselves from the midst of this company, and I will consume them in a moment.

⁴⁵ Get away from the midst of this company, and I shall consume them in a moment; and they fell on their faces.

⁶ And you shall know that Jehovah your God is not giving you this good land, to possess it, for your righteousness; for you are a stiffnecked people. ⁷ Remember; do not forget how you made Jehovah your God angry in the wilderness; even from the day that you came out of the land of Egypt until you came into this place you have been rebellious against Jehovah. ⁸ Even in Horeb you made Jehovah angry; and Jehovah breathed angrily against you, to destroy you. ⁹ When I went up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, tablets of the covenant which Jehovah cut with you, and I remained in the mountain forty days and forty nights (I did not eat bread nor did I drink water), ¹⁰ and Jehovah gave to me the two tablets of stone written with the finger of God, and on them was written according to all the words which Jehovah spoke with you in the mountain, out of the midst of the fire, in the day of the assembly; ¹¹ then it happened, at the end of forty days and forty nights Jehovah gave the two tablets of stone to me, tablets of the covenant, ¹² and Jehovah said to me, Rise up, go down quickly from here; for your people whom you have brought out of Egypt have acted corruptly; they have quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made themselves a casted image. ¹³ And Jehovah spoke to me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people.

²⁶ I said, I will dash them to pieces; I will make their memory cease from among men; ²⁷ saying, Were it not the provocation of an enemy I feared, that their foes should judge amiss, that they might not say, Our hand is high, and Jehovah has not done all this.

⁶ For the sons of Israel had walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the nation, the men of war who had come out of Egypt were consumed, those who did not listen to the voice of Jehovah, to whom Jehovah had sworn to them not to show them the land which Jehovah swore to their fathers, to give to us, a land flowing with milk and honey; these were consumed.

³⁰ So says Jehovah the God of Israel, I said indeed that your house and your father's house should walk before Me until forever. But now Jehovah says, Be it far from Me! For those who honor Me, I will honor; and those despising Me will be despicable.

⁸ And they shall not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that prepared not its heart; yea, whose spirit was not faithful with God.

⁵ in order to establish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then I answered and said, Amen, O Jehovah.

⁷ The instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, or to break down, or to destroy; ⁸ if that nation against whom I have spoken will turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to it. ⁹ And the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; ¹⁰ if it does evil in My eye, not to obey My voice, then I will repent of the good which I had said to do good to it.

¹⁸ In My saying to the wicked, Surely you shall die; and you do not warn him, and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, he, the wicked, shall die in his iniquity. But I will require his blood at your hand. ¹⁹ And you, because you have warned the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his way, he, the wicked, shall die in his iniquity. But you have delivered your soul.

¹³ Though I say to the righteous, He shall surely live, yet he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, all his righteousness shall not be remembered; but he shall die for his iniquity which he has done. ¹⁴ And though I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; if he turns from his sin and does justice and righteousness, ¹⁵ if the wicked returns the pledge, he repays the thing stolen, he walks in the statutes of life, not doing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die. ¹⁶ All his sins which he has sinned shall not be remembered to him; he has done justice and righteousness, he shall surely live.

¹³ Hear and testify in the house of Jacob, declares the Lord Jehovah, the God of hosts. ¹⁴ For in the day I visit the transgressions of Israel on him, I will also visit on the altars of Bethel. And the horns of the altar will be cut off and will fall to the ground.

⁴ And Jonah began to enter a day's journey into the city. And he cried out and said, Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown!

¹⁰ And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. And God was compassionate over the evil that He had declared to do to them, and He did not do it .

⁵¹ Oh stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and in the ears! You always fell against the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, you also did .

⁶ And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar, and to Ithamar, his sons, You shall not uncover your heads and you shall not tear your garments, that you may not die, and He be angry on all the congregation. As to your brothers, the whole house of Israel, they shall mourn the burning which Jehovah has kindled.

¹ And all the congregation lifted up their voice and cried; and the people wept during that night.

³⁹ And Moses told these words to all the sons of Israel; and the people mourned deeply.

²⁴ And Mephibosheth the son of Saul had come down to meet the king. And he had not dressed his feet, nor had shaved his upper lip. Yea, he had not washed his garment, even from the day that he went away till the day that he came in peace.

²⁷ And it happened, when Ahab heard these words, he tore his garments, and put sackcloth on his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.

¹ And it happened, when king Hezekiah heard, that he tore his garments and covered himself with sackcloth and went in to the house of Jehovah;

³ And when I heard this thing, I tore my garments and my robe, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down stunned.

¹ And Mordecai understood all that was done, and Mordecai tore his clothes and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the middle of the city, and cried with a loud and bitter cry. ² And he came until he was before the king's gate; for there was no entering into the king's gate in clothing of sackcloth. ³ And in every province, wherever the king's word and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping and wailing. Sackcloth and ash were spread on many. ⁴ And Esther's maids and her eunuchs came and told her. And the queen was exceedingly convulsed in pain. And she sent clothing to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him. But he did not accept.

²⁰ And Job rose up and tore his robe, and shaved his head. And he fell down on the ground and worshiped.

¹² And when they lifted up their eyes from a distance and did not recognize him, they lifted up their voice and wept then. And each one tore his robe. And they sprinkled dust on their heads toward the heavens.

¹¹ Tremble, women at ease; shake, confident women; strip and make yourselves bare, and bind on sackcloth on your loins;

¹⁷ Groan, but be silent; do not make a mourning for the dead. Bind your turban on you, and put your sandals on your feet, and do not cover the mustache nor eat the bread of men.

²³ And your turbans shall be on your heads and your sandals on your feet. You shall not wail nor weep, but you shall rot away in your iniquities, and each man groan to his brother.

¹⁶ And all the rulers of the sea shall come down from their thrones and lay aside their robes and strip off their embroidered garments. they shall be clothed with trembling. They shall sit on the ground and shall tremble at every moment and be appalled at you.

¹⁴ And they have not cried to Me with their heart, when they howled on their beds. They gather themselves for grain and wine; they turn against Me.

⁶ And the word touched even to the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he took his robe from him and covered himself with sackcloth and sat on the ashes.

³ to speak to the priests who belong to the house of Jehovah of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, consecrating myself as I have done these many years?

⁵ Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months, even those seventy years, did you truly fast to Me, even to Me?

²¹ I will go down and see if they have at all done according to the cry coming to Me. And if not, I will know.

¹² And He said, Do not lay your hand on the boy, nor do anything to him. For now I know that you are a God-fearer, and you have not withheld your son, your only one, from Me.

³ to a land flowing with milk and honey. For I will not go up among you, for you are a stiffnecked people, lest I consume you in the way. ⁴ And the people heard this evil word, and they mourned, and did not put any ornaments on themselves.

⁴⁵ Get away from the midst of this company, and I shall consume them in a moment; and they fell on their faces. ⁴⁶ And Moses said to Aaron, Take the fire-pan, and put fire on it from the altar, and lay on incense, and go, hurry to the congregation, and atone for them, for the wrath has gone out from the presence of Jehovah; the plague has begun.

² And you shall remember all the way which Jehovah your God has caused you to go these forty years in the wilderness, in order to humble you, to try you, to know that which is in your heart, whether you will keep His commandments or not.

²⁰ In a moment they die, and a people are shaken at midnight; yea, they pass away, and the mighty will be taken without a hand.

¹⁹ How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away with terrors!

²³ Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts;

¹² And in that day the Lord Jehovah of Hosts called to weeping and mourning; and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth.

⁶ And the iniquity of the daughter of my people is heaped more than the sin of Sodom, which was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands were spun on her.

³ And all the people broke off the rings of gold in their ears, and they brought to Aaron.

⁴ And the people heard this evil word, and they mourned, and did not put any ornaments on themselves.

¹⁹ Your own wickedness shall correct you, and your apostasies shall reprove you. Know, then, and see that your forsaking Jehovah your God is evil and bitter; and My fear is not in you, declares the Lord Jehovah of hosts.

⁴² This shall be a continual burnt offering to your generations, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the face of Jehovah; there where I meet you to speak to you there. ⁴³ And I will meet the sons of Israel here and it shall be sanctified by My glory.

²⁹ And if you shall seek Jehovah your God from there, then you shall find Him, if you seek Him with your whole heart, and with all your soul,

¹ And there was a famine in the days of David, three years, year after year. And David sought the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah said, It is for Saul and for his bloody house, because he killed the Gibeonites.

¹ Why do You stand far away, O Jehovah? Will You hide in times of distress?

⁸ My heart said to You, Seek my face; Your face, O Jehovah, I will seek.

²² You have seen, O Jehovah; do not keep silence, O Lord, do not be far from me.

²⁹ Jehovah is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.

⁶ Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way and the vain man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

² But your iniquities are coming between you and your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, from hearing.

¹² Though they nourish their sons, yet I will make them childless, without a man. Yea, woe also to them when I turn away from them!

⁷ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ⁸ For each one that asks receives, and the one that seeks finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened.

¹¹ For of the animals whose "blood is brought" by the high priest "into the Holy of Holies" concerning sins, of these the bodies "are burned outside the camp." Lev. 16:27 ¹² Indeed, because of this, in order that He might sanctify the people by His own blood, Jesus suffered outside the gate. ¹³ So let us go forth to Him outside the camp bearing His reproach.

²⁷ And they got away from around the tent of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram; and Dathan and Abiram came out, standing at the door of their tents, and their wives, their sons, and their infants.

²² And He finished talking with him. And God went up from Abraham.

³³ And when Jehovah had finished speaking to Abraham, then Abraham returned to his place.

²¹ And Jehovah was going before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them in the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give light to them, to go by day and by night. ²² The pillar of cloud did not cease by day, and the pillar of fire by night, before the people.

²² And I will meet you there, and will speak with you, above the mercyseat, from between the two cherubs which are on the ark of testimony, all which I shall command you concerning the sons of Israel.

¹⁸ And when He finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave to Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.

¹¹ And Jehovah would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp. And his attendant, Joshua the son of Nun, a young man did not leave the middle of the tabernacle.

³ And a man shall not go up with you. And also let no man be seen on all the mountain. Also do not allow the flocks and the herds to feed before that mountain.

¹⁷ And I shall come down and speak with you there; and I will take of the spirit which is upon you, and will put it on them; and they will bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.

⁷ He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar; they kept His testimonies and the law that He gave to them.

²² And the hand of Jehovah was on me there. And He said to me, Rise up, go forth into the plain, and I will speak with you there.

³¹ And the people believed. And they heard that Jehovah had visited the sons of Israel, and that He had seen their affliction. And they bowed and worshiped.

¹⁴ And the king turned around his face and blessed the whole assembly of Israel; and all the assembly of Israel was standing.

²² And Solomon stood before the altar of Jehovah, across from the assembly of Israel, and spread his palms toward the heavens;

¹³ And standing at a distance, the tax collector would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me, the sinner!

³⁰ And Jacob called the name of the place Penuel, because I saw God face to face, and my life is delivered.

⁹ And Moses said to Joshua, Choose men for us, and go fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill, and the staff of God in my hand.

¹³ And Moses rose up, and Joshua his attendant. And Moses went up to the mountain of God.

¹⁷ And Joshua heard the voice of the people in their shouting. And he said to Moses, A sound of war in the camp!

⁹ And it happened as Moses went into the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud would come down and stand at the door of the tabernacle. And He spoke with Moses.

⁸ I speak to him mouth to mouth, and by an appearance, and not in riddles; and he carefully looks upon the form of Jehovah. So why have you not been afraid to speak against My servant, against Moses?

⁴ Jehovah talked with you face to face in the mountain out of the midst of the fire.

¹⁰ And never since has a prophet like Moses arisen in Israel, whom Jehovah knew face to face,

⁷ Are You not our God? You have driven out the inhabitants of this land from before Your people Israel, and have given it to the seed of Abraham, Your friend forever;

²¹ O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleads for his friend!

⁸ I am Jehovah; that is My name; and I will not give My glory to another, nor My praise to engraved images.

²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom, standing and hearing him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. Then this my joy has been fulfilled.

¹¹ He said these things. And after this, He said to them, Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going that I may awaken him.

¹⁴ You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. ¹⁵ I no longer call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his lord does. But I called you friends, because all things which I heard from My Father I made known to you.

²³ And the Scripture was fulfilled, saying, "And Abraham believed God, and it was counted for righteousness to him;" and he was called, Friend of God. Gen. 15:6; Isa. 41:8

¹⁹ For I have known him, so that whatever he may command his sons and his house after him, even they may keep the way of Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice; to the intent that Jehovah may bring on Abraham that which He has spoken of him.

¹⁰ And now, come, and I will send you to Pharaoh, and you bring My people out, the sons of Israel out of Egypt.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, Come, go up from here, you and the people whom you have caused to go up out from the land of Egypt, to the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, I will give it to your seed.

¹⁷ And Jehovah said to Moses, This thing which you have spoken I will do. For you have found favor in My eyes, and I know you by name.

⁶ For Jehovah is knowing the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked shall perish.

¹ But now so says Jehovah who formed you, O Jacob; and He who made you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I called you by your name; you are Mine.

⁵ I knew you before I formed you in the belly; and before you came out of the womb, I consecrated you. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

¹⁴ I am the Good Shepherd, and I know those that are Mine, and I am known by the ones that are Mine. ¹⁵ Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

¹⁹ However, the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, " The Lord knew those being His;" Num. 16:5, also, Let everyone naming the name of Christ depart from unrighteousness.

¹⁷ And Jehovah said to Moses, This thing which you have spoken I will do. For you have found favor in My eyes, and I know you by name. ¹⁸ And he said, I pray, let me see Your glory.

²⁶ And I prayed to Jehovah, and said, O Lord Jehovah, do not destroy Your people, and Your inheritance whom You have redeemed in Your greatness; whom You have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

²⁹ And they are Your people, and Your inheritance, whom You have brought out by Your great power, and by Your stretched out arm.

⁴ Make me know Your ways, O Jehovah; teach me Your paths;

¹¹ Teach me Your way, O Jehovah, and lead me in a level path, because of those who watch me.

¹¹ Teach me Your way, O Jehovah; I will walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.

³³ He. O Jehovah, teach me the way of Your statutes, and I will keep it to the end.

⁷ Tell me, You whom my soul loves, where do You feed; where do You lie down at noon? For why should I be as one who is veiled beside the flocks of Your companions? ⁸ If you yourself do not know, most beautiful among women, go in the footsteps of the flock. And feed your kids beside the tents of the shepherds.

²¹ And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, this is the way, walk in it, when you go right, or when you go left.

¹⁷ O Jehovah, why do You make us wander from Your ways? You harden our heart from Your fear. For Your servants' sake, return the tribes of Your inheritance.

¹⁹ We are of old; You never ruled over them. Your name was never called on them.

¹⁷ Let the priests, ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar; and let them say, Have pity on Your people, O Jehovah, and do not give Your inheritance to shame, for a proverb among those of the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?

³ And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

²⁸ Indeed, as regards the gospel, enemies for you, but as regards the election, beloved for the sake of the fathers.

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him,

¹⁰ for you to walk worthily of the Lord to all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work and growing into the full knowledge of God;

¹⁸ But grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

²¹ And Jehovah was going before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them in the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give light to them, to go by day and by night.

²⁰ It shall be until Jehovah shall give rest to your brothers like yourselves, and they, too, have possessed the land which Jehovah your God is giving to them beyond the Jordan. Then you shall each man return to his possession which I have given to you.

⁵ No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor will I forsake you.

⁴⁴ And Jehovah gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood before them. Jehovah delivered all their enemies into their hand.

⁴ And now Jehovah your God has given rest to your brothers, as He spoke to them. And now you turn and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Jehovah has given to you beyond the Jordan.

¹ And it happened many days after Jehovah had given rest to Israel from all their enemies all around, that Joshua was old, going on in days.

¹¹ to whom I swore in My anger, They shall not enter into My rest.

⁹ In all their affliction, He was not a foe; and the Angel of his Face saved them. In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. And He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

¹⁶ So says Jehovah, Stand by the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it .

²⁸ Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the completion of the age. Amen.

⁸ For if Joshua gave them rest, then He would not have afterwards spoken about another day. ⁹ So, then, there remains a sabbath rest to the people of God.

³ to a land flowing with milk and honey. For I will not go up among you, for you are a stiffnecked people, lest I consume you in the way.

⁶ Many are saying, Who will show us any good? O Jehovah, lift up the light of Your face on us.

²² And in that day I will separate the land of Goshen with My people resting on it, that there be no swarms of flies, so that you may know that I am Jehovah in the midst of the earth.

⁵ And now if you will surely listen to My voice, and will keep My covenant, you shall become a special treasure to Me above all the nations, for all the earth is Mine. ⁶ And you shall become a kingdom of priests for Me, a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel.

¹⁰ And He said, Behold, I am cutting a covenant; I will do wonderful things before all your people which not have been done in all the earth, and among all nations. And all the people in whose midst you are shall see the work of Jehovah, for that which I am about to do is awesome.

¹⁴ And they will say to the inhabitant of this land, They have heard that You, Jehovah, are in the midst of this people, who is seen eye with eye. You are Jehovah, and Your cloud stands over them; in a pillar of cloud You go before them by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.

⁹ For from the top of the rocks I see him, and I behold him from the heights. Behold, it is a people that shall dwell alone and not be reckoned among the nations.

⁷ For who is a great nation whose God is coming near to them, as Jehovah your God is, in all our calling on Him?

³⁴ Or has God gone forth to take to Himself a nation from the midst of a nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

²³ And who is like Your people, like Israel, the one nation in the earth that God went out to redeem to be a people for Himself, and to make Himself a name, and to do for You great and fearful things for Your land, before Your people which You redeemed to Yourself from Egypt, from nations and their gods?

⁵³ for You have separated them to Yourself for an inheritance out of all the peoples of the earth, as You spoke by the hand of Your servant Moses when You brought out our fathers from Egypt, O Lord Jehovah.

²⁰ He has not done so with any nation; and they have not known His judgments. Praise Jehovah!

²³ "Behold! The virgin will conceive in her womb and will bear a son, and they will call His name Emmanuel" (which translated is, God with us). Isa. 7:14

¹⁷ Because of this, "come out from among them" "and be separated," says the Lord, "and do not touch the unclean thing," and I will receive you. Isa. 52:11

⁸ And Noah found grace in the eyes of Jehovah.

³² And he said, I pray, let not my Lord be angry that I may speak only this time; perhaps ten will be found there. And He said, I will not destroy because of the ten.

¹⁹ Behold, now, Your servant has found grace in Your sight, and You have magnified Your mercy which You have shown to me in saving my life. And I am not able to escape to the mountain lest some evil overtake me and I die.

²¹ And He said to him, See, I have lifted up your face also as to this thing, without overthrowing the city for which you have spoken.

¹² And Moses said to Jehovah, Behold, You are saying to me, Cause this people to go up. And You, You have not told me whom You will send with me. And yet You have said, I know you by name, and also you have found favor in My eyes.

²⁴ And it will be, before they call, I will answer. While they are speaking, then I will hear.

²³ And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, Whatever you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

¹⁶ Confess faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous one has great strength, having been made effective.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. ¹⁵ And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

²⁰ And he said, You are not able to see My face; for no man can see Me and live.

¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him .

¹⁸ But we all with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord Spirit.

⁶ Because it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine," who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16

¹⁶ the only One having immortality, living in light that cannot be approached, whom no one of men saw, nor can see; to whom be honor and everlasting might. Amen.

¹³ looking for the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

²³ And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, even its lamp is the Lamb.

¹³ And Moses said to God, Behold, I shall come to the sons of Israel and say to them, the God of your fathers has sent me to you; and they will say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? ¹⁴ And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM; and He said, you shall say this to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you. ¹⁵ And God said to Moses again, You shall say this to the sons of Israel, Jehovah the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial from generation to generation.

⁵ And Jehovah came down in the cloud. And he placed himself there with Him, and he called on the name of Jehovah. ⁶ And Jehovah passed by before his face and called out: Jehovah! Jehovah God! Merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and great in goodness and truth, ⁷ keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and not leaving entirely unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on sons, and on sons of sons, to the third and to the fourth generation.

²⁵ And they took strong cities and a rich land, and occupied houses full of all goods, wells already dug, vineyards and oliveyards and fruit trees in abundance. And they ate, and were filled, and became fat, and lived luxuriously in Your great goodness.

¹³ His soul shall abide in good, and his seed shall inherit the earth.

⁴ Blessed is the one You choose and cause to come near You; he shall dwell in Your courts; we shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

¹⁴ So, The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold! The virgin will conceive and will bring forth a son; and she shall call His name Immanuel.

⁶ For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

⁴ And in that day you shall say, Praise Jehovah! Call on His name; declare His doings among the peoples; make mention that His name is exalted.

¹² And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and be radiant over the goodness of Jehovah, for grain, and for wine, and for oil, and for the sons of the flock and the herd. And their life shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not pine away any more at all.

¹⁴ And I will fill the soul of the priests with fatness, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says Jehovah.

¹⁷ For how great is its goodness, and how great its beauty! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

⁴ Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and the forbearance and the longsuffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

¹⁵ For He said to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will pity whomever I will pity." Ex. 33:19 ¹⁶ So, then, it is not of the one willing, nor of the one running, but of the One showing mercy, of God. ¹⁷ For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very thing I raised you up, so that I might show forth My power in you, and so that My name might be publicized in all the earth." Ex. 9:16 ¹⁸ So, then, to whom He desires, He shows mercy. And to whom He desires, He hardens.

²³ and that He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory,

⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace in which He favored us in the One having been loved, ⁷ in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace ⁸ which He caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding,

¹⁰ And they saw the God of Israel. And under His feet was as the work of a pavement of sapphire, and the same as the heavens for clearness.

²⁴ and you said, Behold! Jehovah your God has revealed His glory and His greatness to us, and we have heard His voice out of the midst of the fire; we have seen today that God speaks with man, and he lives.

²² And Gideon saw that He was the Angel of Jehovah. And Gideon said, Alas, Lord Jehovah! Because I have seen the Angel of Jehovah face to face!

²² And Manoah said to his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

⁵ Then I said, Woe is me! For I am cut off; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I live amongst a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of Hosts.

¹³ But to which of the angels did He ever say, "Sit at My right hand until I place Your enemies as a footstool of Your feet?" LXX-Psa. 109:1, MT-Psa. 110:1

¹⁶ and having in His right hand seven stars; and a sharp, two-edged sword proceeding out of His mouth, and His face shining as the sun in its power. ¹⁷ And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet, as dead. And He put His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not fear. I am the First and the Last,

³¹ But as for you, you stand here by Me, and I will speak to you all the commandments and the statutes and the ordinances which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I am giving to them, to possess it.

⁴ And he shall flee to one of those cities and shall stand at the entrance of the gate of the city, and shall declare his matter in the ears of the elders of that city. And they shall take him into the city to themselves, and shall give him a place, and he shall live with them.

⁵ I, even I will give to them in My house and in My walls a hand and a name better than sons and than daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which shall not be cut off.

⁷ So says Jehovah of hosts: If you will walk in My ways, and if you will keep My charge, then you shall also judge My house, and shall also keep My courts, and I will give you room to walk among these who stand by.

¹ And all the tax collectors and sinners were coming near to Him, to hear Him.

¹² Of Benjamin he said, The beloved of Jehovah shall dwell securely beside Him, covering him all the day long; yea he shall dwell between His shoulders.

² Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my Rock; I seek refuge in Him; He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

¹ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shade of the Almighty.

⁴ With His feathers He will cover you, and under His wings you shall seek refuge; His truth is a shield and buckler.

³ As the apple among the trees of the forest, so is my Beloved among the sons. I delighted in His shadow, and I sat down; and His fruit was sweet to my taste.

²¹ to go into the crevices of the rocks, and into the clefts of the cliffs, from the dread of Jehovah, and from the glory of His majesty; when He rises up to make the earth quake.

² And a man shall be a hiding place from the wind, a shelter from the tempest, as streams of water in a dry place; like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

⁴ And all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of the spiritual rock following, and that Rock was Christ.

¹⁹ whereas God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not charging their trespasses to them, and putting the word of reconciliation in us.

⁷ Can you find out God by searching? Or can you find out the end of the Almighty?

¹⁴ Lo, these are the edges of His ways; yea, what a whisper of a word we hear of Him! And the thunder of His might, who can understand?

¹² For now we see through a mirror in dimness, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will fully know even as I also was fully known.
