¹⁷ And you shall make a mercyseat of pure gold, its length two and a half cubits, and its width a cubit and a half.

³⁴ And you shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony, in the Holy of Holies.

⁶ And he made a mercyseat of pure gold; two cubits and a half long, and a cubit and a half wide.

²⁰ And he took and gave the testimony into the ark. And he put the poles on the ark. And he gave the mercyseat on the ark from above.

¹² And he shall take a censer full of coals of the fire from off the altar before Jehovah, and his hands full of fragrant perfumes beaten small, and bring it within the veil. ¹³ And he shall put the incense on the fire before Jehovah, and the cloud of the incense shall cover the mercy-seat on the testimony; and he shall not die. ¹⁴ And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and shall sprinkle with his finger on the front of the mercy-seat eastward. And he shall sprinkle at the front of the mercy-seat seven times from the blood with his finger. ¹⁵ And he shall kill the goat of the sin offering which is the people's, and shall bring in its blood to the inside of the veil, and shall do with its blood as he has done with the blood of the bullock, and shall sprinkle it on the mercy-seat, and at the front of the mercy-seat.

¹¹ And David gave his son Solomon the pattern of the porch, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of its upper rooms, and of its innermost rooms, and of the house of the mercy-seat;

²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a showing forth of His righteousness through the passing by of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God,

¹⁶ Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and we may find grace for help in time of need.

⁵ and above it the cherubs of glory overshadowing the mercy-seat (about which now is not time to speak piece by piece).
