1 For the rest, then brothers, we beg you and we exhort in the Lord Jesus, even as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more.
2 For you know what injunctions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is God's will, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication,
4 each one of you to know to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor,
5 not in passion of lust, even as also the nations do, not knowing God;
6 not to go beyond and to overreach his brother in the matter, because the avenger concerning all these is the Lord, even as we told you before, and solemnly testified.
7 For God did not call us to impurity, but in sanctification.
8 Therefore, the one that despises does not despise man, but God, even He giving His Holy Spirit to us.
9 Now as to brotherly love, you have no need for me to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.
10 For you also do it toward the brothers in all Macedonia. But, brothers, we exhort you to abound more.
11 And eagerly aspiring to be quiet, and to do your own things, and to work with your own hands, as we enjoined you,
12 that you may walk becomingly toward those outside, and that you may have need of nothing.
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who sleep, that you not grieve, as the rest also, not having hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.
15 For we say this to you in the Word of the Lord, that we the living who remain to the coming of the Lord not at all will go before those who have fallen asleep.
16 Because the Lord Himself shall come down from Heaven with a commanding shout of an archangel's voice, and with God's trumpet. And the dead in Christ will rise again first.
17 Then we who remain alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to a meeting with the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
18 So, then, comfort each other with these words.

20 And you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
21 I did not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because every lie is not of the truth.
22 Who is the liar, except the one denying, saying that Jesus is not the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one denying the Father and the Son.
23 Everyone denying the Son does not have the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father.
24 Then what you heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you will abide both in the Son and in the Father.
25 And this is the promise which He promised us: everlasting life.
26 I wrote these things to you concerning the ones leading you astray.
27 And the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and as He taught you, abide in Him.

17 Whoever has the means of life of the world, and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

8 The one who does not love has not known God, because God is love.
9 By this the love of God was revealed in us, because His Son, the Only begotten, God has sent into the world that we might live through Him.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a propitiation relating to our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love having been perfected is in us.
13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because of His Spirit He has given to us.
14 And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.
15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and have believed the love which God has in us. God is love, and the one abiding in love abides in God, and God in him.

1 Corinthians 15:12-23
12 But if Christ is proclaimed, that He was raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is not a resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there is not a resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.
14 But if Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation is worthless, and your faith is also worthless.
15 And also we are found to be false witnesses of God, because we witnessed as to God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if then dead ones are not raised.
16 For if the dead are not raised, Christ has not been raised.
17 But if Christ has not been raised, your faith is foolish; you are still in your sins.
18 And then those that fell asleep in Christ were lost.
19 If we only have hope in Christ in this life, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead; He became the firstfruit of those having fallen asleep.
21 For since death is through man, also through a Man is a resurrection of the dead;
22 for as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
23 But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruit, afterward those of Christ at His coming.
