¹ After these things I looked, and behold, an open door in heaven, and the former voice that I had heard like a trumpet speaking with me was saying, "Come up here and I will show you the things which must take place after these things." ² Immediately I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one was seated on the throne. ³ And the one seated was similar in appearance to jasper and carnelian stone, and a rainbow was around the throne similar in appearance to emerald. ⁴ And around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders dressed in white clothing, and on their heads were gold crowns. ⁵ And from the throne came out lightnings and sounds and thunders, and seven torches of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God. ⁶ And before the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal, and in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. ⁷ And the first living creature was similar to a lion, and the second living creature was similar to an ox, and the third living creature had a face like a man's, and the fourth living creature was similar to an eagle flying. ⁸ And the four living creatures, _⌊each one_⌋* of them, had six wings apiece, full of eyes around and inside, and they do not have rest day and night, saying,
"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God All-Powerful,* the one who was and the one who is and the one who is coming!" ⁹ And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the one who is seated on the throne, the one who lives _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, ¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before the one who is seated on the throne and worship the one who lives _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, and put down their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, because you have created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created."

¹ And these are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt; with Jacob, they each came with his _⌊family_⌋:*

²⁴ And Yahweh said to him, "Go, go down, and come up, you and Aaron with you and the priests, but the people must not break through to go up to Yahweh, lest he break out against them."

¹² And Yahweh said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain, and be there, and I will give you the tablets of stone and the law and the commandments that I have written to instruct them."

² And be ready for the morning, and go up in the morning to Mount Sinai and present yourself to me there on the top of the mountain. ³ And no one will go up with you, and neither let anyone be seen on all the mountain, nor let the sheep and goats and the cattle graze _⌊opposite_⌋* that mountain."

¹⁶ Now after he* was baptized, Jesus immediately went up from the water, and behold, the heavens opened* and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove coming* upon him.

¹⁰ And immediately as he* was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens being split apart and the Spirit descending like a dove on him.

²¹ Now it happened that when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized, and while he* was praying, heaven was opened,

¹³ But when he—the Spirit of truth—comes, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak from himself, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will proclaim to you the things to come.

⁵⁶ And he said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

¹¹ And he saw heaven opened and an object something like a large sheet coming down, being let down to the earth by its four corners,

¹ The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his slaves the things which must take place in a short time, and communicated it by* sending it through his angel to his slave John, ² who testified about the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, all that he saw. ³ Blessed is the one who reads aloud and blessed are* those who hear the words of the prophecy and observe the things written in it, because the time is near!

¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a great sound like a trumpet

¹⁹ Therefore, write the things which you saw, and the things which are, and the things which are about to take place after these things.

¹² And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here," and they went up into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them.

¹⁷ And the seventh poured out his bowl on the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done!"

⁶ And he said to me, "These words are faithful and true, and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his slaves the things which must take place in a short time."

¹⁹ And he* said, "Therefore, hear the word of Yahweh. I saw Yahweh sitting on his throne with all the hosts of heaven standing beside him from his right hand and from his left hand.

¹ In the year of the death of Uzziah the king, I saw the Lord sitting on a high and raised throne, and the hem of his robe was filling the temple.

¹² A lofty throne of glory from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.

²⁶ And from above the expanse that was above their heads there was the likeness of a throne, _⌊looking like a sapphire_⌋,* and above the likeness of the throne was a likeness similar to* the appearance of a human on it, but _⌊above it_⌋.*

²⁸ Like the appearance* of a bow that is in the cloud on _⌊a rainy day_⌋,* such was the radiance* around it; thus was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Yahweh. And I saw, and I fell on my face, and I heard a voice speaking.

¹² And the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the sound of a great earthquake when the glory of Yahweh rose from its place. ¹³ And it was the sound of the wings of the living creatures touching lightly* _⌊one against the other_⌋,* and the sound of the wheels beside them and the sound of a great earthquake. ¹⁴ And the Spirit lifted me and took me, and I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of Yahweh was strong on me.

¹ And I looked, and look! On the expanse that was above the head of the cherubim something like a stone of sapphire,* and like the appearance of the shape of a throne it appeared above them.

⁹ "_⌊I continued watching_⌋* until thrones were placed and an Ancient of Days sat; his clothing was like white snow and the hair of his head was like pure wool and his throne was a flame* of fire and its wheels* were burning fire.

¹ Now this is the main point in what has been said: we have a high priest such as this, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

²¹ The one who conquers, I will grant to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also have conquered and have sat down with my Father on his throne.

⁵ And from the throne came out lightnings and sounds and thunders, and seven torches of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

⁹ And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the one who is seated on the throne, the one who lives _⌊forever and ever_⌋*,

¹ And I saw in the right hand of the one who is seated on the throne a scroll, written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals.

⁶ And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as though slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth. ⁷ And he came and took the scroll* from the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne.

¹³ And I heard every creature that is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and in the sea and everything in them saying,
"To the one who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power* _⌊forever and ever_⌋*."

¹⁶ And they said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb,

⁹ After these things I looked, and behold, a great crowd that no one was able to number, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes and with palm branches in their hands. ¹⁰ And they were crying out with a loud voice, saying,
"Salvation to our God who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!" ¹¹ And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, ¹² saying,
"Amen! Praise and glory, and wisdom and thanksgiving, and honor and power and strength be to our God _⌊forever and ever_⌋*. Amen!" ¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are dressed in the white robes—who are they, and from where have they come?" ¹⁴ And I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me,
"These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Because of this, they are before the throne of God, and they serve* him day and night in his temple, and the one who is seated on the throne _⌊will shelter_⌋* them. ¹⁶ They will not be hungry any longer or be thirsty any longer, nor will the sun ever beat down on them, nor any heat,* ¹⁷ because the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and will lead them to springs of living waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."*

⁵ And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is going to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod,* and her child was snatched away to God and to his throne.

³ And he carried me away into the wilderness in the Spirit,* and I saw a woman seated on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.

⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who is seated on the throne, saying,
"Amen! Hallelujah!"

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and the one who was seated on it, _⌊from whose presence_⌋* earth and heaven fled, and a place was not found for them.

⁵ And the one seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new!" And he said, "Write, because these words are faithful and true."

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and lofty mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

¹ And he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming out from the throne of God and of the Lamb ² in the middle of its street, and _⌊on both sides of the river_⌋* is the tree of life, producing twelve fruits—yielding its fruit according to every month—and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. ³ And there will not be any curse any longer, and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his slaves will serve* him,

¹³ My bow I have set in the clouds, and it shall be for a sign of the covenant between me and between the earth. ¹⁴ And when I make clouds appear over the earth the bow shall be seen in the clouds. ¹⁵ Then* I will remember my covenant that is between me and you, and between every living creature, with all flesh. And the waters of a flood will never again _⌊cause the destruction_⌋* of all flesh. ¹⁶ The bow shall be in the clouds, and I will see it, so as to remember the everlasting covenant between God and between every living creature, with all flesh that is upon the earth."

¹⁰ And they saw the God of Israel, and what was under his feet was like sapphire tile work and like the very heavens for clearness.

⁹ "For this is like the waters of Noah to me, when I swore _⌊that the waters of Noah would never again pass_⌋* over the earth, so I swore _⌊that I would not be_⌋* angry at you and rebuke you. ¹⁰ For the mountains may depart, and the hills may sway, but* my faithfulness shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not sway," says Yahweh, who has compassion on you,

¹³ You were in Eden, the garden of God, and every precious stone was your adornment: carnelian, topaz and moonstone,* turquoise, onyx and jasper, sapphire,* malachite and emerald. And gold was the craftsmanship of your settings and your mountings in you; on the day when you were created they were prepared.

¹ And I saw another powerful angel descending from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, and a rainbow over his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire,*

¹¹ that has the glory of God. Its radiance is like a precious stone, something like a jasper stone, shining like crystal.

¹⁹ The foundations of the wall of the city are adorned with every kind of precious stone: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, ²⁰ the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.

¹⁵ Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in _⌊royal clothing_⌋* of blue cloth and white linen, and a great crown of gold and a robe of fine white linen and purple, and the city of Susa was shouting and rejoicing.

³ For you meet him with blessings of good things. You set on his head a crown of fine gold.

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you that in the renewal of the world,* when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me—you also will sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

³⁰ that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁸ Finally, the crown of righteousness is reserved for me, that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing.

¹⁰ Do not be afraid of the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison so that you may be tested, and you will experience affliction ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

⁴ But you have a few _⌊people_⌋* in Sardis who have not defiled their clothing, and they will walk with me in white, because they are worthy. ⁵ The one who conquers in this way will be dressed in white clothing, and I will never erase his name from the book of life, and I will declare his name before my Father and before his angels.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before the one who is seated on the throne and worship the one who lives _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, and put down their crowns before the throne, saying,

⁸ And when he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one of whom had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

¹⁴ And the four living creatures were saying, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped.

¹¹ And to each one of them a white robe was given, and it was said to them that they should rest yet a short time, until the number of their fellow slaves and their brothers who were about to be killed as they had been were completed also.

⁹ After these things I looked, and behold, a great crowd that no one was able to number, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes and with palm branches in their hands.

¹¹ And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,

¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are dressed in the white robes—who are they, and from where have they come?" ¹⁴ And I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me,
"These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

⁷ And the appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle, and on their heads were something like crowns similar in appearance to gold, and their faces were like men's faces,

¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders who are seated on their thrones before God fell down on their faces and worshiped God,

¹⁴ And the armies that are in heaven, dressed in clean, white fine linen, were following him on white horses.

⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat down on them, and authority to judge was granted to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and did not receive the mark on their* forehead and on their hand, and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

⁷ And he said to him, "I am Yahweh, who brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans to give this land to you, to possess it."

¹⁶ _⌊And_⌋* on the third day, when it was morning, there was thunder and lightning, and a heavy cloud over the mountain and a very loud ram's horn sound, and all the people who were in the camp trembled.

¹⁸ And all the people were seeing the thunder and the lightning and the sound of the ram's horn and the mountain smoking, and the people saw, and they trembled, and they stood at a distance.

²³ And he made its seven lamps and its snuffers and its fire pans of pure gold.

²⁰ the lampstands, and the lamps for burning according to the custom before the inner sanctuary, of solid gold;

¹³ And Yahweh thundered from the heavens, and the Most High uttered his voice with hail and coals of fire. ¹⁴ And he shot his arrows and scattered them,* and many lightning bolts and routed them.

³⁵ Awesome are you, O God, from your sanctuary.* The God of Israel, it is he who gives strength and might to the people. Blessed be God.

¹³ As for* the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. It* was moving to and fro between the living creatures, and _⌊the fire was very bright_⌋* and lightning was going out from the fire.

¹⁶ And Yahweh roars from Zion; from Jerusalem he utters his voice, and the heavens and the earth shake. But Yahweh is a refuge for his people, and a protection for the children of Israel.

² And he said to me, "What do you see?" And I said, "I see, and look, _⌊a lampstand all of gold_⌋,* and a bowl was on its top, and its seven lamps on it, and seven lips on each of the lamps that are on its top.

¹¹ And I answered and said to him, "What are these two olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left?" ¹² And I replied a second time and asked him, "What are these two twigs of olive trees* on the right of the lampstand and on its left?" ¹³ And he replied to me, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord." ¹⁴ And he said, "These are the two _⌊anointed ones_⌋* standing by the Lord of the whole earth."

¹¹ I baptize you with water for repentance, but the one who comes after me is more powerful than I am, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

³ And divided* tongues like fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.

⁴ Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit, ⁵ and there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord, ⁶ and there are varieties of activities, but the same God, who works all things in all people. ⁷ But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for what is beneficial to all. ⁸ For to one is given a word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another a word of knowledge by the same Spirit, ⁹ to another faith by the same Spirit, to another* gifts of healing by the one Spirit, ¹⁰ to another* _⌊miraculous powers_⌋*, to another* prophecy, to another* distinguishing of spirits, to another kinds of tongues, to another* interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ But in all these things one and the same Spirit is at work, distributing to each one individually just as he wishes.

¹⁸ For you have not come to something that can be touched, and to a burning fire, and to darkness, and to gloom, and to a whirlwind, ¹⁹ and to the noise of a trumpet, and to the sound of words which those who heard begged that not another word be spoken to them. ²⁰ For they could not endure what was commanded: "If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned."* ²¹ And the spectacle was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am terrified and trembling."* ²² But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem, and to tens of thousands of angels, to the festal gathering ²³ and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous people made perfect, ²⁴ and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and _⌊to the sprinkled blood_⌋* that speaks better than Abel's does. ²⁵ Watch out that you do not refuse the one who is speaking! For if those did not escape when they* refused the one who warned them on earth, much less will we escape,* if we* reject the one who warns from heaven, ²⁶ whose voice shook the earth at that time, but now he has promised, saying,
"Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also heaven."* ²⁷ Now the phrase "yet once more" indicates the removal of what is shaken, namely, things that have been created, in order that the things that are not shaken may remain. ²⁸ Therefore, since we* are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be thankful, through which let us serve God acceptably, with awe and reverence. ²⁹ For indeed our God is a consuming fire.

⁴ John, to the seven churches in Asia:* grace to you and peace from the one who is and the one who was and the one who is coming, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,

¹ "And to the angel of the church in Sardis write:
"This is what the one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars says: 'I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, and you are dead.

⁶ And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as though slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth.

⁵ And the angel took the censer and filled it with the fire from the altar and threw it to the earth, and there were thunders and sounds and lightnings and an earthquake.

¹⁹ And the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant appeared in his temple, and there were lightnings and sounds and thunders and an earthquake and large hail.*

¹⁷ And the seventh poured out his bowl on the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done!" ¹⁸ And there were lightnings and sounds and thunders, and there was a great earthquake, as has not happened from the time humanity has been on the earth—so great in this way was the earthquake.

⁸ And he made the basin of bronze and its stand of bronze from the mirrors of the serving women who served at the entrance of the tent of assembly.

²³ He also made the molten* sea, ten cubits _⌊in diameter_⌋,* and five cubits was its height. A measuring line of thirty cubits would encircle it all around.

¹⁷ Gold and glass cannot be compared with it, and its substitution cannot be an ornament of refined gold.

⁴ And I looked,* and look! A storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud, and fire flashing back and forth, and brightness around and _⌊within it_⌋,* and from its midst* it was like the outward appearance of amber stone from the midst* of the fire. ⁵ And from its midst* was the likeness of four living creatures, and this was their appearance: _⌊a human form_⌋,* ⁶ and _⌊each had four faces_⌋,* and _⌊each of them had four wings_⌋.* ⁷ And their legs were straight legs, and the sole of their feet was like the sole of the foot of a calf, and they were sparkling like the outward appearance of polished bronze. ⁸ And under their wings were _⌊human hands_⌋* on their four sides. And their faces and their wings for the four of them were as follows: ⁹ _⌊their wings were touching one another_⌋;* _⌊each of them went straight forward_⌋,* _⌊without turning right or left_⌋.* ¹⁰ The likeness of their faces was the face of a human in front, and the face of a lion on the right _⌊of each of them_⌋,* and the face of an ox on the left _⌊of each of them_⌋,* and the face of an eagle _⌊for each of them_⌋.* ¹¹ So were their faces; their wings were spread out _⌊upward_⌋;* each had two touching one another and two covering their bodies. ¹² And each _⌊went straight forward_⌋;* _⌊wherever the spirit went_⌋* they went, and _⌊they did not turn as they went_⌋.* ¹³ As for* the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. It* was moving to and fro between the living creatures, and _⌊the fire was very bright_⌋* and lightning was going out from the fire. ¹⁴ And the living creatures _⌊were speeding to and fro_⌋* like the appearance of lightning. ¹⁵ And I saw the living creatures, and look! A wheel was on the earth* beside _⌊each of the living creatures that had four faces_⌋.* ¹⁶ The appearance of the wheels and their construction was like the appearance of beryl,* and _⌊they all looked alike_⌋,* and their appearance and their construction was _⌊like a wheel within a wheel_⌋.* ¹⁷ When they moved, they went toward their four sides; they did not _⌊veer at all as they went_⌋.* ¹⁸ And their rims _⌊were high and awesome_⌋,* and _⌊all four of_⌋* their rims were full of eyes all around. ¹⁹ And at the going of the living creatures, the wheels next to them also went, and _⌊when the creatures were lifted from the ground_⌋* the wheels also rose. ²⁰ _⌊Wherever_⌋* the spirit went they would go there, and the wheels rose, for the spirit of the living creatures* was in the wheels. ²¹ At their* going, they* go, and at their standing, they stood, and at their being lifted up from on the earth,* the wheels rose,* for the spirit of the living creatures* was in the wheels. ²² Now* the likeness above the heads of the living creatures was an expanse like the outward appearance of _⌊awesome_⌋* _⌊ice_⌋* spread out above their heads _⌊upward_⌋.* ²³ And under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight _⌊one toward the other_⌋;* each had two wings covering them, and each had two wings covering their bodies. ²⁴ And I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the voice of Shaddai,* and _⌊when they moved_⌋* there was a sound of tumult like the sound of an army; _⌊when they stood still_⌋* they lowered their wings. ²⁵ And there was* a sound from above the expanse that was above their heads, _⌊and when they stood_⌋* they lowered their wings. ²⁶ And from above the expanse that was above their heads there was the likeness of a throne, _⌊looking like a sapphire_⌋,* and above the likeness of the throne was a likeness similar to* the appearance of a human on it, but _⌊above it_⌋.* ²⁷ And I saw something like the outward appearance of amber, something like the appearance of fire, with a covering around it, from the likeness of his loins and _⌊upward_⌋.* And from the likeness of his loins and _⌊downward_⌋* I saw something like the appearance of fire, and _⌊it was radiant all around_⌋.* ²⁸ Like the appearance* of a bow that is in the cloud on _⌊a rainy day_⌋,* such was the radiance* around it; thus was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Yahweh. And I saw, and I fell on my face, and I heard a voice speaking.

¹² And _⌊their whole body_⌋,* and their rims, and their spokes, and their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes all around—_⌊the wheels for the four of them_⌋.*

¹⁴ And _⌊each one had four faces_⌋;* the face of the one was the face of a cherub, and the face of the second was the face of a human, and the face of the third was the face of a lion, and the fourth was the face of an eagle.

⁸ And the four living creatures, _⌊each one_⌋* of them, had six wings apiece, full of eyes around and inside, and they do not have rest day and night, saying,

¹⁷ because the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and will lead them to springs of living waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."*

³ And they were singing something like a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders, and no one was able to learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand who had been bought from the earth.

² And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had conquered the beast and his image and the number of his name were standing by* the glassy sea, holding harps from God.

⁷ And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives _⌊forever and ever_⌋*,

¹⁸ And the material of its wall is jasper, and the city is pure gold, similar in appearance to pure glass.

²¹ And the twelve gates are twelve pearls, each one of the gates was from a single pearl. And the street of the city is pure gold, like transparent glass.

¹ And he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming out from the throne of God and of the Lamb

⁹ Judah is a lion's cub. From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He bowed down; he crouched like a lion and as a lioness. Who shall rouse him?

² "The _⌊Israelites_⌋* will encamp each with his standard, with a banner according to _⌊their families_⌋;* they will encamp around the tent of assembly. ³ The ones who encamp on the eastern side, toward the sunrise, will be of the standard of the camp of Judah according to their divisions; and the leader of the descendants of Judah will be Nahshon son of Amminadab, ⁴ and his division and _⌊the ones counted_⌋* are seventy-four thousand six hundred. ⁵ And the ones who encamp next to him will be the tribe of Issachar. And the leader of the descendants of Issachar will be Nethanel son of Zuar, ⁶ and his division are fifty-four thousand four hundred. ⁷ For the tribe of Zebulun: the leader of the descendants of Zebulun will be Eliab son of Helon, ⁸ and his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are fifty-seven thousand four hundred. ⁹ All those counted from the camp of Judah are one hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred. They will set out first according to their divisions. ¹⁰ "The standard of the camp of Reuben will be to the south according to their divisions. The leader of the descendants will be Elizur son of Shedeur. ¹¹ And his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are forty-six thousand five hundred. ¹² Those encamped next to him will be the tribe of Simeon. The leader of the descendants of Simeon will be Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai. ¹³ And his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are fifty-nine thousand three hundred. ¹⁴ For the tribe of Gad: the leader of the descendants of Gad will be Eliasaph son of Reuel. ¹⁵ And his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty. ¹⁶ All _⌊those counted_⌋* from the camp of Reuben are one hundred and fifty-one thousand four hundred and fifty. They will set out second according to their divisions. ¹⁷ "The tent of assembly the camp of the Levites will set out in the midst of the camps; they will set out just as they encamped, _⌊each according to their standards_⌋.* ¹⁸ "The standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their divisions will be to the west. The leader of the descendants of Ephraim will be Elishama son of Ammihud. ¹⁹ And his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are forty thousand five hundred. ²⁰ The tribe of Manasseh will be next to him. The leader of the descendants of the tribe of Manasseh will be Camaliel son of Pedahzur. ²¹ And his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are thirty-two thousand two hundred. ²² For the tribe of Benjamin: the leader of the descendants of Benjamin will be Abidan son of Gideoni. ²³ And his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are thirty-five thousand four hundred. ²⁴ All _⌊those counted_⌋* from the camp of Ephraim are one hundred and eighty thousand one hundred. They will set out third according to their divisions. ²⁵ "The standard of the camp of Dan according to their divisions will be to the west. The leader of the descendants of Dan will be Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai. ²⁶ And his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are sixty-two thousand seven hundred. ²⁷ Those encamped next to him will be the tribe of Asher. The leader of the descendants of Asher will be Pagiel son of Ocran. ²⁸ And his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are forty-one thousand five hundred. ²⁹ For the tribe of Naphtali: the leader of the descendants of Naphtali will be Ahira son of Enan. ³⁰ And his division and the _⌊ones counted_⌋* are fifty-three thousand four hundred. ³¹ All the _⌊ones counted_⌋* from the camp of Dan are one hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred. They will set out _⌊last_⌋* according to their divisions." ³² These were the ones counted of the _⌊Israelites_⌋* according to _⌊their families_⌋;* all those counted from the camps according to their divisions were six hundred and three thousand five hundred. ³³ The Levites were not counted in the midst of the _⌊Israelites_⌋,* just as Yahweh commanded Moses. ³⁴ And the _⌊Israelites_⌋* did everything that Yahweh commanded Moses. They encamped according to their standards, and they* set out each one according to their clans* among _⌊their families_⌋.*

²⁴ Look! the people will rise like the lion; he raises himself and will not lie down until he eats the prey and drinks the blood of the slain."

⁹ He crouches, he lies down like a lion, and like a lioness, who will rouse him? They who bless you will be blessed, and they who curse you will be cursed."

⁴⁹ Yahweh will raise up against you a nation from far off, from the end of the earth, attacking as the eagle swoops down, _⌊a nation whose language you will not understand_⌋,*

²³ Saul and Jonathan were beloved and pleasant in their lives and were not separated in their death. They were swifter than eagles, stronger than lions.

² By the rebellion of a land, her rulers increase, but by a person of intelligence who knows justice, it will last.

³¹ But* those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall go up with wings* like eagles; they shall run and not grow weary; they shall walk and not be faint.

⁸ And under their wings were _⌊human hands_⌋* on their four sides. And their faces and their wings for the four of them were as follows:

¹⁰ The likeness of their faces was the face of a human in front, and the face of a lion on the right _⌊of each of them_⌋,* and the face of an ox on the left _⌊of each of them_⌋,* and the face of an eagle _⌊for each of them_⌋.*

²¹ _⌊Each one had four faces_⌋,* and there were four wings for each, and the likeness of _⌊human hands_⌋* was under their wings.

⁴ The first was like a lion and _⌊had_⌋* the wings of an eagle. I was watching until its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the earth and it was raised on its feet like a human, and a human heart was given to it.

⁴ Even if you soar like the eagle, even if your nest is set among the stars, from there I will bring you down!" _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh:

⁹ For in the law of Moses it is written, "You must not muzzle an ox while it* is threshing."* It is not about oxen God is concerned, is it?* ¹⁰ Or doubtless does he speak _⌊for our sake_⌋*? For it is written _⌊for our sake_⌋*, because the one who plows ought to plow in hope and the one who threshes ought to do so in hope of a share.

²⁰ Brothers, do not become children in your understanding, but with respect to wickedness be as a child, and in your understanding be mature.

⁶ And before the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal, and in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

¹ When* Abram was ninety-nine years old Yahweh appeared to Abram. And he said to him, "I am El-Shaddai;* walk before me and be blameless

¹¹ Who is like you among the gods, Yahweh? Who is like you—glorious in holiness, awesome in praiseworthy actions, doing wonders?*

¹ One who lives in the secret place* of the Most High will lodge in the shadow of Shaddai.*

² Seraphs were standing above him. _⌊Each had six wings_⌋:* with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. ³ And the one called to the other and said,
"Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh of hosts! The _⌊whole earth is full of his glory_⌋."* ⁴ And the pivots of the thresholds shook from the sound of those who called, and the house* was filled with smoke. ⁵ And I said, "Woe to me! For I am destroyed!* For I am a man _⌊of unclean lips_⌋,* and I am living among* a people _⌊of unclean lips_⌋,* for my eyes have seen the king, Yahweh of hosts!" ⁶ Then one of the seraphs flew to me, and in his hand was a hot coal he had taken from the altar with tongs. ⁷ And he touched my mouth, and he said,
"Look! This has touched your lips and has removed your guilt, and your sin is annulled." ⁸ Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said,
"I am here! Send me!" ⁹ And he said, "Go and say to this people,
'Keep on listening and do not comprehend! And keep on looking and do not understand!' ¹⁰ Make the heart of this people insensitive, and make its ears unresponsive, and shut its eyes so that it may not look with its eyes and listen with its ears and comprehend with its mind and turn back, and it may be healed for him." ¹¹ Then I said, "Until when, Lord?"
And he said,
"Until the cities lie wasted without inhabitant, and houses without people, and the land is ruined and a waste, ¹² and Yahweh sends the people far away, and the abandonment is great in the midst of the land. ¹³ And _⌊even if only a tenth part remain_⌋,* _⌊again she will be destroyed_⌋* like a terebinth or like an oak, which although felled, a tree stump remains in them. The seed of holiness will be her tree stump."

⁶ Wail, for the day of Yahweh is near; it will come like destruction from Shaddai!*

¹ For the sake of Zion I will not be silent, and for the sake of Jerusalem I will not maintain a quiet attitude, until her righteousness goes out like the bright light, and her salvation burns like a torch.

⁶ I have appointed watchmen upon your walls, Jerusalem; all day and all night they shall never be silent. You who profess Yahweh have no rest. ⁷ And you must not give him rest until he establishes, and until he _⌊makes_⌋* Jerusalem _⌊an object of praise_⌋* in the earth.

⁶ and _⌊each had four faces_⌋,* and _⌊each of them had four wings_⌋.*

²¹ _⌊Each one had four faces_⌋,* and there were four wings for each, and the likeness of _⌊human hands_⌋* was under their wings. ²² And the likeness of their faces, they were the faces that I saw at the _⌊Kebar River_⌋;* thus was their appearance, and they each went _⌊straight ahead_⌋.*

¹⁵ Ah! For the day! For the day of Yahweh is near. It will come like destruction from Shaddai.*

³¹ Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning each one of you* with tears.

¹⁸ and I will be a father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me,"* says the all-powerful Lord.

⁹ For you remember, brothers, our labor and hardship: working by night and day in order not to be a burden to any of you, we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.

⁸ nor did we eat bread from anyone without paying, but with toil and labor, we were working night and day in order not to be a burden to any of you, ⁹ not that we do not have the right, but so that we may give ourselves as an example to you, so that you may imitate us.

¹⁶ Fix your attention on yourself and on your teaching. Continue in them, for by* doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

² preach the word, be ready in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all patience and instruction.

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and _⌊forever_⌋*.

⁸ I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, the one who is and the one who was and the one who is coming, the All-Powerful.

⁷ "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
"This is what the holy one, the true one, the one who has the key of David, the one who opens and no one can shut, and who shuts and no one can open, says:

⁴ And around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders dressed in white clothing, and on their heads were gold crowns.

¹⁵ Because of this, they are before the throne of God, and they serve* him day and night in his temple, and the one who is seated on the throne _⌊will shelter_⌋* them.

¹⁷ saying,
"We give thanks to you, Lord God All-Powerful, the one who is and the one who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.

¹¹ And the smoke of their torture went up _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, and those who worshiped the beast and his image did not have rest day and night, _⌊along with anyone who received_⌋* the mark of his name.

³ And they were singing the song of Moses, the slave of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:
"Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God All-Powerful; righteous and true are your ways, King of the ages!*

⁷ And I heard the altar saying,
"Yes, Lord God All-Powerful, true and righteous are your judgments."

¹⁴ For they are the spirits of demons performing signs that go out to the kings of the whole inhabited world, to gather them for the battle of the great day of God the All-Powerful.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth came a sharp sword, so that with it he could strike the nations. And he will shepherd them with an iron rod,* and he stomps the winepress of the wine of the furious wrath of God, the All-Powerful.

²² And I did not see a temple in it, for the Lord God All-Powerful is its temple, and the Lamb.

¹⁸ Yahweh will reign as king forever and ever."

⁸ God reigns over nations; God sits on his holy throne.

¹⁴ that this is God, our God forever and ever. _⌊He himself_⌋* will guide us until death.

³⁴ "But at the end of _⌊that period_⌋,* I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and then my reason returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and _⌊the one who lives forever_⌋* I praised and I honored.
"For his sovereignty is an everlasting sovereignty, and his kingdom continues from generation to generation.

⁷ And I heard the man who was clothed in linen who was above* the water of the stream,* and he raised his right hand and his left hand to heaven and he swore _⌊by the one who lives forever_⌋* that an appointed time, appointed times, and half an appointed time would pass when the shattering of _⌊the power of the holy people_⌋* _⌊would be completed_⌋;* then all these things will be accomplished.

⁸ And in this case mortal men receive tithes, but in that case it is testified that he lives.

²⁵ Therefore also he is able to save completely those who draw near to God through him, because he* always lives in order to intercede on their behalf.

¹⁸ and the one who lives, and I was dead, and behold, I am living _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, and I hold the keys of death and of Hades.

¹³ And I heard every creature that is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and in the sea and everything in them saying,
"To the one who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power* _⌊forever and ever_⌋*." ¹⁴ And the four living creatures were saying, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped.

¹¹ And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, ¹² saying,
"Amen! Praise and glory, and wisdom and thanksgiving, and honor and power and strength be to our God _⌊forever and ever_⌋*. Amen!"

⁶ and swore by the one who lives _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, who created heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, "There will be no more delay!

¹¹ To you, O Yahweh, is the greatness and the power and the splendor and the glory and the strength, for everything in the heavens and in the earth. Yours, O Yahweh, is the kingdom and exaltation over all as head! ¹² And wealth and glory are from you, and you rule over all. And in your hand is power and might. And in your hand is power to make great and to give strength to all. ¹³ And now, our God, we give thanks to you and offer praise to the name of your splendor. ¹⁴ And indeed, who am I, and who are my people that we retain power to offer according to these offerings willingly? For everything is from you, and from your hand we have given to you. ¹⁵ For we are strangers before you and sojourners like all our ancestors.* Our days are like the shadow upon earth, and there is no hope of abiding. ¹⁶ O Yahweh our God, all this abundance that we have provided to build for you a house for your holy name is from your hand, and all of it is yours.

²⁰ And David said to all the assembly, "Bless Yahweh your God!" And all the assembly blessed Yahweh, the God of their ancestors.* And they bowed down and prostrated themselves before Yahweh and the king.

³ When all the _⌊Israelites_⌋* saw the fire come down and the glory of Yahweh upon the house, they knelt down with their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshiped and gave thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loyal love is everlasting.

²⁰ Then* Job arose and tore his outer garment* and shaved his head; _⌊then_⌋* he fell upon the ground and he worshiped.

¹¹ and let all kings bow down to him. Let all nations serve him.

⁶ Come in, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Yahweh, our maker.

¹ Not to us, O Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, because of your loyal love, because of your faithfulness.

¹¹ And when they* came into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and* worshiped him. And opening their treasure boxes, they offered him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh.

⁹ and he said to him, "I will give to you all these things, if you will fall down and* worship me." ¹⁰ Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'"*

⁵² And they worshiped him and* returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been in vain, but I labored even more than all of them, and not I, but the grace of God with me.

⁴ Who would never fear, Lord, and glorify your name? For only you are holy, because all the nations* will come and worship before you, because your righteous deeds have been revealed."

⁸ And I, John, am the one who heard and who saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed these things to me. ⁹ And he said to me, "_⌊Do not do that!_⌋* I am your fellow slave, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!"

¹ In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth—

¹¹ because in six days Yahweh made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and on the seventh day he rested. Therefore Yahweh blessed the seventh day and consecrated it.

⁴ The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are just; he is a faithful God, and _⌊without injustice_⌋;* righteous and upright is he.

⁴ I call upon Yahweh who is praiseworthy, and I am saved from those who hate me.

²⁸ Ascribe to Yahweh, O clans of the nations, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength! ²⁹ Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of his name! Lift up an offering and come before him! Bow down to Yahweh in the splendor of holiness!

⁵ Then the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah said, "Stand up, bless Yahweh your God from everlasting until everlasting. Blessed be your glorious name that is being exalted above all blessing and praise!

³ I will bring my knowledge from far away, and I will ascribe righteousness to my maker,

³ I called upon Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised, and I was saved from my enemies.

¹ A psalm of David.*
Ascribe to Yahweh, O sons of God,* ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength. ² Ascribe to Yahweh the glory _⌊due_⌋* his name. Worship Yahweh in holy array.

³⁴ Ascribe strength to God. His majesty is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

⁷ Ascribe to Yahweh, you families of the peoples, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength. ⁸ Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts.

⁴ All Yahweh has made is for his* purpose, and even the wicked for the day of trouble.

²⁶ Lift your eyes up on high, and see! Who created these? The one who brings out their host by number. He calls all them by name. Because he is great of power and mighty of power, no man is missing.

²⁸ Have you not known, or have you not heard? Yahweh is the God of eternity, the creator of the ends of the earth! He is not faint, and he does not grow weary! There is no searching his understanding.

¹¹ "_⌊Thus_⌋* you shall say to them,
'Gods who did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens.

¹⁷ 'Ah Lord Yahweh! Look, you made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. _⌊Nothing_⌋* is too difficult for you,

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² This one was in the beginning with God. ³ All things came into being through him, and apart from him not one thing came into being that* has come into being.

¹⁵ and saying, "Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you, proclaiming the good news that you should turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all the things that are in them—

²⁴ the God who made the world and all the things in it. This one, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands,

³⁶ For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory for eternity! Amen.

⁹ and to enlighten everyone as to what is the administration of the mystery hidden from the ages by God, who created all things,

¹⁶ because all things in the heavens and on the earth were created by him, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers, all things were created through him and for him, ¹⁷ and he himself is before all things, and in him all things are held together,

² in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the world,*

¹⁰ And,
"You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the works of your hands;

² And I saw a powerful angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?"

⁹ And they were singing a new song, saying,
"You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered, and bought people for God by your blood from every tribe and language and people and nation,

¹² saying with a loud voice,
"Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!"

⁷ saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship the one who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and the springs of water!"
