⁵ And you made him a little lower than heavenly beings,* and with glory and with majesty you crowned him.

²⁶ And God said, "Let us make humankind in* our image and according to* our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of heaven,* and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every moving thing that moves upon the earth." ²⁷ So* God created humankind in* his image, in* the likeness of God he created him,* male and female he created them.

⁷ when* Yahweh God formed the man* of dust from the ground, and he blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

²⁹ So Absalom sent for Joab, in order that he send him to the king, but he was not willing to go to him. He sent again a second time, but he was not willing to go.

¹⁸ Look, he does not trust in his servants and he charges his angels with error. ¹⁹ How much more dwellers in clay houses, whose foundation is in the dust? They are crushed like a moth. ²⁰ _⌊Between morning and evening_⌋* they are destroyed; without anyone regarding it they perish forever.

³ For you meet him with blessings of good things. You set on his head a crown of fine gold. ⁴ He asked life from you; you gave it to him— length of days forever and ever. ⁵ His honor is great because of your help.* Splendor and majesty you have bestowed upon him.

My heart is moved with a good word; I recite my _⌊compositions_⌋* to the king. My tongue is the pen of a skilled scribe. ² You are the most handsome of the sons of humankind; grace is poured out on your lips; therefore God has blessed you forever. ³ Gird your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendor and your majesty.

⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

⁴ who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with loyal love and mercies,

²⁰ Bless Yahweh, you his angels, you mighty heroes who do his word by _⌊obeying_⌋* the sound of his word.

³¹ Then, when he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in him. ³² If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and will glorify him immediately.

²¹ above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name named, not only in this age but also in the coming one,

⁷ but emptied himself by* taking the form of a slave, by* becoming in the likeness of people. And being found in appearance like a man, ⁸ he humbled himself by* becoming obedient to the point of death, that is, death on a cross. ⁹ Therefore also God exalted him and graciously granted him the name above every name, ¹⁰ so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and of those on earth and of those under the earth, ¹¹ and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

⁷ You made him for a short time lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor;*

⁹ but we see Jesus, for a short time made lower than the angels, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that apart from God* he might taste death on behalf of everyone.

¹⁶ For surely he is not concerned with angels, but he is concerned with the descendants of Abraham.

²⁰ who was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has been revealed in these last times for you ²¹ who through him are believing in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
